~part 1~

"Draco! Draco? Where are you? Help me with my bags!" I cried, looking around desperately at the station.

As I heard the chugging of the train getting louder, my anxiety grew like a mountain within me.

"Oh God, where is he?"

"Um excuse me!" I said hesitatingly, to a boy with ginger hair who was beside me, getting ready to go through the wall.

"Yes?" He replied.

"Err, could you please tell me how to get to station 9 and three quarters?"

"No problem, just run through this wall here."

"Okay, thanks!"

He smiled.

"Oh look, it's Ida." I heard some people whisper behind me. "I heard she's smart, well - at least Malfoy's been bragging about her."

I rolled my eyes as I pushed past the people getting onto the train.

My body leant back as I took one last look behind me. No Draco.

I shook my head with displeasure and put on a rather panicked expression.

I popped my head through each little sector of Hogwarts Express, trying to find a spare seat but everywhere was full!

"At this rate, I'm going to be standing up all the way to Hogwarts!" I said with a daft voice.

"Excuse me? Do you mind if I co..." As soon as my eyes saw a spare seat in a sector full of only three people, I took my chance.

"Oh, it's you again." The ginger one said, remembering me from the station.

"Not at all. Grab a seat." The dark brown haired boy said.

I smiled politely and sat opposite him on the seat next to a girl who was looking rather annoyed at the ginger one.

I sat quietly and every so often, I would pretend to be engrossed in something to make the situation a little less awkward.

"So, what's your name?" The guy asked me.

"I'm Ida." I said. "What about you?"

"Oh I'm Harry."

"Oh my word - Harry Potter?"

"Yeah." He chuckled.

"And what about..."

"Hermione Granger. And this is Ron." The girl said quickly, offering a handshake.

I accepted it and slipped my own hand into her warm palm.

"Nice to meet you."

Suddenly, the door of the carriage crashed open and I jumped in fright.

Draco stood standing in the doorway with an angry glare reflecting in his furious eyes.

"Ida!" He shouted at the top of his voice.

I gasped and got up slowly.

"What are you doing here?!" He screamed, eyeing me fiercely.

"Err - w...w - well there - wasn't a s - spare carriage so I...."

"She can sit where she wants, MALFOY." Ron said defensively.

"ENOUGH!"

I jumped again and I realized that Harry and his friends were narrowing their eyes at him.

"You just had to sit with dear old Potter didn't you? And his filthy, blood-contaminated friends?" Draco spat.

He pivoted on his heel and clutched my arm so hard that I thought it would almost fall off.

He dragged me out into his own carriage.

"Blimey, what's she even got to do with him?" Ron whispered.

"She's his sister, Ron. And you know how much he hates us. Probably trying to fill the poor girl's mind about us." Hermione said.

Harry rolled his eyes and shook his head, ashamed by her awful brother.

💓

"That hurt." I said quietly with a hurt expression, as Draco scurried me into the seat beside the window and he sat next to me.

He looked at me and sighed.

"Ida. You have to understand." He placed a hand on mine which rested on my lap.

"I can't bear to see you with that cheat. You should never be friends with people inferior to you, but don't worry - I'll teach you that skill."
He said disgustingly.

"But what's wrong with Harry? And Ron. And especially Hermione."

Draco shot a fierce look at me again which signaled to stop and I lowered my head, resting my heavy head on the window and staring outside at the gloomy sky which condensed rain and caused a pattering sound.

"Right. Calm." I heard my brother say to himself as I asked him annoying questions.

"Draco? Will I be in Slytherin?" I asked him quietly, testing to see if he was still angry.

"Course you will!" He said proudly, still making me jump with his loud voice.

"Slytherin is the path to success. You shall be continuing the prestigious name of pure-bloods and their ambition of benefiting the wizarding world. Take pride in being a true Sly...."

"Draco I'm not even in Slytherin yet!" I giggled silently.

Crabbe and Goyle started laughing secretly and Draco's nose twitched.

"What you laughin at, you eavesdroppers!" Draco kicked them on the shin as he got up to go somewhere.

"Ouch!" They shouted in pain.

I bit my lip in order to refrain from laughing at their poor plight. How sad!

"Sweets anyone? Sweets? Oh my! Ida... Ida Malfoy!? Can I have your autograph? You're - you're the brightest witch in the wizarding world! Your pictures are always in the newspapers. You're even smarter than Hermione!" Collin came up to me and clicked a picture of me, letting the bright flash make me cringe my eyes with a smile.

"Err, I.."

Hermione walked past and at the sound of her name, she gave us a dirty look.

I gulped.

"If you'll excuse me please.... I just need to - yeah, thanks." I made my through the thin corridor and rushed behind Hermione.

"Hermione!" I said.

She turned round surprisingly.

"Err, don't mind what - what Collin said, it's just that -"

"Don't worry. I'm not at all offended." She gave me a warm smile with a laugh of disbelief.

"Okay phew." I sighed in relief and she was impressed by my caring nature.

"Make way you mudblood." Draco shoved past her.

"Ida? Do you need anything?" His voice softened to a sweet tone as he talked to me.

Hermione went off and gave me a smile.

I smiled over Draco's shoulder; my brother was slightly taller than me.

"Who you smiling at?" He looked behind.

"No one." I said, smirking; still not leaving the sight of her disappear into the carriage.

He shrugged and went past.

"You might want to change into your robes you know. We're arriving at school." A guy said with a fake, seductive voice which made me turn round and look at him with narrowed eyes.

He smirked.

I just stared at him with a glare.

"I'm capable of telling her that, you bloody fool." Draco grabbed hold of Seamus's collar, joining me again at the sound of his voice.

Seamus swore as he thrust him off.

Draco took my hand and we went off to change into our robes.

"Overprotective bro, right here." Cormac gossiped with his friends.
