L pov

I almost revealed my true feelings for her just glad she hasn't found out. I wanted to tell her but after telling her to move in with me my confidence gave out. Watari and I were heading to her house and I saw that Mr. Yagami and Light were there talking to her.

'I wonder what they are talking about?'

Light pov

After taking a shower and putting on some fresh clothes. My dad and I went to check on (Y/n) to see if she was alright. I don't remember what has happened ever since this whole Kira investigation started. Maybe it was that 'almost being killed by your dad in the car to prove I'm not Kira' moment.

"Light I need to ask you this. Are you in love with (Y/n)?" My dad asks.

"No why would you ask that!?" I blushed at the fact that he would know I did like her.

"Because I heard you talking to yourself about her not noticing your feelings. Light you should know that if you do like her it will change a lot for both of you. I'm not saying you can't date her but think of the outcome of the relationship you already have with her." He said as I looked away.

"Alright, you got me I've loved (Y/n) since we were kids, but she never sees me like that she calls me her brother. No matter what I do she'll never love me as I love her, and it looks like Ryuuzaki loves her as well since they're dating each other."

"If they're dating then why not be happy for her? After all, you dated before her and she was happy for you. So why can't you be happy for her?" He asked as I admit something I'd been hiding.

"Truth is I only dated those girls because I wanted her to get jealous of them. In the end, I made it worse because everyone would think she wasn't my sister."

"Listen Light (Y/n) wouldn't think that badly of you. She's seen you as an older brother because you are always there for her in those situations. And I think she's happy to have you as a brother." Dad said as we arrive at the (Y/n) place.

We walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. (Y/n) came out and I saw that she had some suitcases at the front as well as a bag of other things.

"Oh hey Light and Mr.Yagami how are you doing?" She said as open the door.

"We're fine (Y/n) just freer than ever. so what's with the bags going somewhere?" Dad said.

"Well, Ryuuzaki asked me to move in with him. He said to keep an eye on Misa while she's there too. Since I'm the only girl that Misa trusts right now."

"I see that makes sense then so we won't see you here at all."

"No, I was going to tell you guys to not bring food here while I'm over there. Oh, you can just bring the mail to your place while I'm gone."

"Yeah sure that's no problem for us," Dad said as a car arrive in front. We all knew it was Ryuuzaki who was in there and Watari came out.

"Miss (Y/n) are you ready to go." He said with a soft smile.

"Yep, I have everything in my bags as well as some books for studying." She said as she got her massager bag as well.

"Alright, I guess we'll see you at the new base then," I told her and she nodded. Watari got her bags and put them in the trunk.

"I'll see you guys later." She said as she waved to us. Once she was in the car I felt my heart break into a million pieces.

"You know Light sometimes letting go of what you love means you truly love them," Dad said as I looked in the direction (Y/n) went.

'No, I won't give up on (Y/n). Ryuuzaki you better watch out because you just became my number one enemy for taking her away.'

Watari pov (I think he deserves some time)

Once we left miss (Y/n) home I could tell she was really tired. I can't blame her she has little sleep since she studies and focus on the case. By the looks of it, she seems on edge of something. Then again Kira wants her.

Lawliet seems to glance at her every few seconds and looks away from her when after 10 seconds. He looks like he'll be debating whether to tell her or not.

'He still has much to learn about girls.'

"L do you think it's possible for a shinigami to love a human. Or a human to love a shinigami?" (Y/n) said after we reach halfway to our destination.

"It's impossible for that to happen, but then again I thought shinigami didn't exist until now. So I guess it is possible for them to love a human. Why do you ask?" Lawliet said.

"I just got curious about it that's all. Still, if they were to have a child with shinigami powers. What would happen to that child?" She asked as she looked out the window.

"I think the government would have taken the child and used that power for control saying it's for justice when it's not. If there is a child out there that has shinigami powers the best for that kid is to hide from everyone and never tell anyone who he or she is." Lawliet said. As I looked through the mirror I could see the sadness in her eyes like she wanted to cry.

"I see makes sense." The light turned green and we drove in silence. As we arrive we help her with her stuff and took her to her room. Lawliet put effort to make it her style she didn't seem to complain about the color but she seems to like the view only.

"Well, I have to make sure to check who is arriving. So excuse me." I left them alone and began to walk to the security area. Something kept bothering me why would she talk about shinigami and humans having a relationship and having a child?
