Chapter 13: Hope

It was horrible.

So cold.

He had no control.

He couldn't move

Couldn't do what he wanted

All he could do was watch, breath and hear the chaotic laughter of his brother echo in the black abyss where he sat. Chained.

If only he could use his goddamn magic!? If only he could have been granted some hope!! If only he didn't feel jealous and guilty when he saw Papyrus and Blue hugging each other after a long separation. He probably deserved to feel that way, like a punishment for his actions. For being so cruel just because he forced others to get what he wanted. And killed people...

His life was ultimately fucked up.

But there was no point of thinking of that right now. What he needed to try and do was work out how the hell he could gain back his control.

Before he did something he would ultimately regret.

~~~~~~
Dust was so fast, too fast, yet clumsy and kept missing with his attacks. Papyrus narrowed his eyes as he examined and took mental notes of Dust's movements. Definitely, what was controlling him, was not used to it. He ducked, narrowly missing the wall of sharp bones which shot over his head with a quick speed.
Papyrus was quick back to his feet, his blasters growling and grinning like they usually did. He snapped his fingers and they opened their mouths which started to glow, a loud humming noise coming from them before they blasted a line of orange at Dust who was hit and flown across the clearing, landing on all fours before getting back up, laughing.
That awful noise made him sick, it was just so unnatural. At least Blue wasn't here to witness his friend who was acting like an animal.
Bones shot at Dust who was quick to smash his own bones at them, deflecting them away. Papyrus teleported, appearing behind Dust who whipped around before having a fist hit his face. Papyrus smirked at the hit before he felt a bone shoot into one of his ribs, one more inch lower and his soul would have been smashed at the impact.
Darn
Dust purred slyly, lunging, charging at Papyrus with bones in his hands, blasters appearing at his sides of finish Papyrus off.
Papyrus hissed at the pain, gripping the bone and pulling it out before whipping his hand through the air. Bones shot out of the ground, a thick wall- one defense of many he could use against Dust and get some time. The bones and blasters smashed into the bones, the floor thudded slightly just at the noise. Papyrus watched, the bones starting to crack under the weight.
There was a noise and Dust appeared in front of Papyrus, grinning with his hood creating a shadow over his eyes, his pupils still glowing orange.
Papyrus hissed, "that's it-" He slammed his foot into Dust, sending him crashing into the ground. Before he could so much as breath Papyrus had him pinned down by bones, ontop of him with a sharp bone in his hand which he raised upwards above Dust's soul. Papyrus smashed another bone down into Dust, right through his shoulder making Dust yell out in pain.
-Please don't hurt him, he's not himself-
Blue's words rang through Papyrus's head and he looked down at the skeleton who chuckled while looking up at him.
He gripped the bone, oh how much he wanted to do it. But if he did it would mean loosing Blue's trust.
He couldn't... he wouldn't
Dust jerked under him, his eyes flicking to normal for a second.
~~~~~~

Dust shouted, "PAPYRUS!?"

His eyes glowed, gripping the chains around his wrists as he looked around the black abyss. "GET OVER HERE AND FACE ME!?" He yelled out louder with a raspy voice.

Papyrus, his Papyrus appeared before him, floating there with a smirk on his face.

Dust growled, "you bastard."

Papyrus simply laughed, "IT WAS FUN! FIGHTING THAT SKELETON LIKE ME~" He purred as his eyes glinted with that fiery orange. "IT WAS A SHAME THOUGH... I WANTED TO PLUNGE MY BONES INTO THE SMALL BLUE ONE.."

He was mad, how dare he think that!? His eyes glowed brighter with magic, Papyrus jerking his chin towards his eyes before Dust yelled out in pure rage. The chains around his wrists smashed, the remains falling onto the ground and clanking, the noise echoing.

Papyrus swallowed, holding back a flinch.

Dust soon had Papyrus in his grip, smashing him into the ground and watching as the magic in Papyrus's eyes faded. His brother smirked under him,"this is not the end, dear brother~"

And with that Dust woke up, well more snapped out of it. Because when he looked up he was in Underswap Snowdin with US Papyrus looming over him with a bone at hand.
