Ella's POV.

This was the best time, I ever had. I hadn't had this much fun in ages. I felt like a whole new me, a whole new person.

We were just roaming on the city roads, and in between, we would make some stops at random shops. We also went to a cafe and sat there for a couple of minutes to catch our breaths.

This whole time, I was on a motorbike with Xaiden. At first, I was scared but after some time, I started enjoying it.

I loved how I was able to see the hustle and bustle of the city, the traffic loaded roads, huge LEDs and signboards showing different advertisements. The people busy with their own works.

"How was it? Did you have fun?" Xaiden asked as we made a stop in front of a small park.

"Yup! Definitely!" I was grinning and looking at the kids playing. A little cute boy was chasing a girl with ginger hair and when he caught her, they both fell down and then started laughing. I couldn't help but see how cute they were.

How adorable! I wanted to just cuddle them!!

I smiled and took a long breath in the fresh air. I felt so different, so energetic. I hadn't felt this much lively before. I hadn't felt this much at peace before.

Although I had all the riches, all the necessities. I had everything that one could desire. I was even treated like a princess and there were always maids around me to do my work. I had all the things, all the expensive clothes, jewelry, accessories, all those things a girl could ask for in her life. But these things never really made me happy. I never once felt my mind at peace.

I might have all the things one could desire but I didn't have the one most important thing.

The freedom to be the real me! To live my life how I please and not how others wanted it.

"Where are the others?" I asked noticing Jessica, Sara and Jack missing. I remembered they were here a minute ago. Where did they go?

"They have gone to get some ice cream. They'll be back in a minute, " he told me and I simply nodded. We stayed silent for a while as we both staring in the air.

"Um... This was the best day ever! I hadn't had this much fun in ages!" I mumbled, breaking the silence.

"No kidding." He said, smiling. "Come! I'll show you something!" Xaiden said, all of a sudden standing up.

"What about others?" I questioned as I looked at him confused.

What was he gonna show me?

"I'll inform them. Come!" He took my hand, making me stand up and to follow where his bike was parked. All this while he didn't let go of my hand. It was not that I mind it but the way my heart would beat like hell whenever he would touch me, I knew one day I'd die of these electric shocks.

Damn, me!

Curse you, my traitorous heart!

He let go of my hand as we reached his bike. My hand instantly felt cold and my heart fell in the pit of my stomach.

Why he had to leave my hand Couldn't he hold it a bit longer?

Damn, Ella! What are you thinking? Come to your senses! Idiot!

I shook my head, making my mind to come to my senses. I put on my helmet and sat behind him. He started the bike and as he sped up, I gripped his jacket tightly. After five minutes, the bike came to a halt.

"Come on!" He said as we both get off the motorbike. In front of me were the entry gates of someplace. The place seemed like an amusement park but it was smaller than it. It seemed like some kind of fair, like those that I read in novels.

The gate fully decorated with different glittered things and fairy lights which were dim in this broad daylight. A great crowd of people could be seen inside and some on the rides. The noise of the crowd could be heard as well.

"Let's go in!" Xaiden said but I stood still.

"Shouldn't we wait for others?"

"I have texted them. They'll come, " he answered, his lips holding the same smile.

"Come on, El! I will make sure you have the fun of your life!" He looked in my eyes as he held my hand and dragged me in, and I followed him like a lost puppy.

I had never been to a fair before. Hell! I haven't even been to the city before. This was all new for me.

"Here, try this!" He handed me a fluffy kind of thing. It was pink in colour and was on a stick. I stared at the thing in front of me. I wasn't aware of what to do with this thing.

"Why aren't you eating?" He questioned and I looked at him, dumbfounded.

This thing was to eat?

Do we eat these kinds of things?

"Take a bite. Come on! It isn't that bad!" He chuckled as I inspect the pinkish thing in my hand.

What was this?

I saw him take a bite of it and I took a small bite as well. As soon as that thing got into my mouth, I moaned. It tasted sweet and felt a bit sticky. It felt like I was eating something so light and weightless like air. The only difference was, it was sweet.

"What is this?" I moaned taking another bite.

"Are you kidding? You don't know about it?" He stared at me surprised, and I shook my head.

"It's cotton candy." He chuckled and I replied, "Oh!"

"Let's take some rides." He again took my hand and deep down my heart did a pitter-patter dance. We made through the crowd and stood in front of a huge wheel. I looked up in the sky and wondered how high this wheel was.

"It's called a Ferris Wheel." He mocked, a slight smile on his face.

So this was called a Ferris Wheel!

I head read about it in different novels when the lovers would go on a romantic date but had never seen a real one.

"We sit in there and then that controller there. He-"

"Come on! I know that! Don't treat me like a kid!" I glared at him as he chuckled. I looked at him smiling while enjoying the way he was teasing me. I guessed, he really loved teasing me, and this didn't feel bad. I was quite enjoying seeing him like this.

"What?" He asked and I shook my head. "Nothing." I must have stared at him for a while now.

"OK. Then let's ride, " he said, excitedly.

Before I could refuse it, he took my other hand as well and pulled me with himself in the cabin. My eyes widened with shock and my heartbeat fastened as my stomach turned upside down. The cabin moved and I lost my balance, falling on him. I closed my eyes and grunt as he groaned.

"I... I am so sor-" I stood up quickly, not looking in his eyes. As I was just-mid sentence the cabin shook again making an addition to my already existing damned reputation.

As I was gonna fall again, he steadied me by holding my arms and making me sit in front of him. I heaved a sigh and opening my eyes, looked up. At once, my breath stopped, seeing how close my face was to his handsome one. The cabin was a small one making our legs touch. His eyes grey as they stared in mine. Grey against green. I looked in his silver-grey eyes and noticed something. A thing more like some kind of emotion, a feeling.

A thing I couldn't quite comprehend. I didn't know what was it but the way his eyes were drowning in mine, I knew I was already in trouble. I was in deep trouble and I couldn't back now. I had already crossed the line and he had broken my wall. Now, he was standing inside it and pulling me out. He was pulling me out of my dark presence and my caged life.

The way he was looking at me, I felt my heart calm and peaceful yet excited at the same time. I felt thousands of butterflies invading my stomach as his face drew closer to mine.

His hand moved to my face as he gently held it. My hand moved unknowingly above his. My cold hand above his warm one. He held my other hand with his right one and I loved it. I loved the presence of his touch against me.

I looked in his eyes as they shifted to my nose then to my lips and then back to my green eyes. His one hand holding my face and the other one having his fingers enlaced in mine.

I didn't know what exactly was going on but I did feel electric shocks all over my body. My heart getting crazy from racing and my mind was about to shut off.

He inched closer and I did as well. Our lips just a mere inch apart. His eyes went to my lips as he gently brushed my lower lip with his thumb, making my breathing rapid. We were now breathing one air.

"Ella!" He whispered and my name still sounded so perfect when rolled down from his tongue. I loved how he said my name. I loved how it sounded so heavenly.

His thumb drawing soothing circles on my cheek as I closed my eyes.

I had never felt this thing before!

What was this?

"Ella!" He called my name again and I opened my eyes. His face inched closer. "My Ella," he whispered as our lips now a few millimetres apart.
