*Phew* Longest chapter I have written so far
Chapter 7: The Awakening
Taehyung hurriedly checked his watch as he buttoned up his crisp white school shirt. The clock on the wall mocked him with each passing second.
"Hana, come on! We're going to be late," he called out, frustration evident in his voice.
From the kitchen, Hana's voice was heard back, "I know, I know, just a minute!"
Taehyung sighed and grabbed his backpack, slinging it over his shoulder as he made his way downstairs.
Entering the kitchen, he found Hana leaning lazily against the counter, her school bag randomly thrown over her shoulder.
"Seriously, Hana? We need to leave now," he urged, tapping his foot impatiently.
Hana pouted, giving him a pleading look. "Do we have to go so early? It's all because of your stupid duty," she whined, gesturing dramatically towards the clock. "Can't we just take it easy for once?"
Taehyung sighed again, trying to suppress his irritation. He understood Hana's reluctance; mornings were never her strong suit. But duty was duty, and he couldn't afford to be late.
"I wish we could, but I can't keep Mr. Albin waiting. Let's go, please," he urged, holding out his hand to Hana.
Reluctantly, Hana pushed herself off the counter and took his hand. "Fine, let's get this over with," she muttered, allowing Taehyung to lead her out of the house and towards their school.
Taehyung hurriedly locked his bicycle in the schoolyard, the morning sun casting a golden hue over the campus. As he turned, ready to dash towards his first class, a sudden burst of excitement echoed through the air. His sister Hana's voice rang out in a joyous yell.
"Jungkook! Lisa!" Hana exclaimed, her enthusiasm contagious.
Taehyung glanced back, curious about the commotion. There, under the shade of an old tree, he saw Jungkook, Lisa, and Hana enveloped in a tight, joyful embrace. Their laughter filled the air, mingling with the chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves.
Jungkook's eyes sparkled with happiness, her cheeks flushed with delight. Lisa threw her arms around the others. Even Hana couldn't contain her excitement as she hugged her friends tightly.
For a moment, Taehyung stood mesmerized by the sight. It was a simple, heartwarming view that spoke volumes about the bond between them. A smile tugged at his lips as he realized how fortunate he was to witness such genuine happiness.
With a fond sigh, he shook his head lightly, feeling a surge of affection for his sister and her friends. As the bell rang in the distance, signaling the start of another school day, Taehyung turned and headed towards the building, his heart lighter than before.
Hana waved a bye to Tae. Tae also did and looked at Jungkook. His eyes softened as he watched her, a small smile playing on his lips. Jungkook, noticing his gaze, felt her cheeks heat up. She quickly looked away, trying to hide her blush.
As Taehyung locked his cycle, Jungkook's mind flashed back to the moment she accidentally liked his Instagram post during the vacation. For a moment, she feared he might have noticed and bring it up, but he didn't show any sign of knowing.
Lisa, standing beside Jungkook, noticed her friend's nervousness. "Hey, let's head to class," she said, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, let's go," Jungkook replied, her voice barely audible. She fiddled with the straps of her backpack, her doe eyes darting everywhere but at Taehyung.
Taehyung glanced at his watch and then back at Jungkook. He gave her a small, almost imperceptible nod before turning and walking away. Jungkook watched his retreating figure, a mixture of relief and disappointment washing over her.
they walked toward their classroom, Jungkook couldn't help but glance back at Taehyung one more time. She took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart, and followed Lisa inside.
🌷
Later in the assembly, the students gathered in the auditorium. The chatter slowly died down as Taehyung walked onto the stage to address the school. His presence was commanding, and he moved with a confidence that drew everyone's attention.
Jungkook found herself unable to look away. Her heart raced as she watched Taehyung speak, his voice strong and clear. Every time he glanced in her direction, she felt a flutter in her chest.
Next to her, Hana noticed Jungkook's fixed gaze on her brother. She nudged Lisa, whispering, "I think someone has a little crush."
Lisa smirked knowing already and whispered back, "More like a big crush."
Jungkook, overhearing their whispers, felt her cheeks turn crimson. She quickly averted her eyes, focusing on her shoes instead. But despite her efforts, her eyes kept drifting back to Taehyung.
After the assembly, Hana couldn't resist teasing Jungkook. "You know, my brother is pretty cool, isn't he?" she said with a mischievous grin.
Jungkook stammered, "Uh, yeah... I mean, he's... okay, I guess." She fiddled with the hem of her skirt, trying to play it cool but failing miserably.
In the classroom, Students settled into their seats, pulling out notebooks and chatting about the day. Jungkook sat at her desk, doodling in the margins of her notes, trying to distract herself from the morning's events.
Hana slid into the seat next to her, her eyes narrowing slightly as she looked at Jungkook. "So, Jungkook," she began, her tone unusually serious. "Do you like my brother?"
Jungkook's heart stopped. Her head snapped up, eyes shortly wide with panic, "W-what? No! I mean... I... What are you talking about?"
Hana leaned closer, her gaze piercing. "Don't lie to me, Jungkook. I saw how you were looking at him in the assembly. I have noticed You've been staring at him a lot lately."
Jungkook felt her cheeks burn and all the negative thoughts came to her mind which made her eyes water. She fiddled nervously with her pen, her voice trembling. "I... I don't know what you're talking about, Hana. Really, I don't..."
Hana continued to stare at her, unrelenting. "Every time he walks by, you get all quiet and flustered. And then there's the way you react whenever someone mentions his name. It's pretty obvious."
Jungkook's hands started shaking, and she struggled to find her voice. "I... I just... It's not like that, Hana. I swear."
Hana raised an eyebrow. "Then why do you always blush when he's around? Why did you almost cry when I asked you about him just now?"
Jungkook felt fear rising in her mind, she looked around and spoke, "I..... It's just... he's..."
Hana's expression softened slightly, but she didn't let up. "Look, Jungkook, you don't have to lie to me. Just be honest. Do you have feelings for him?"
Jungkook bit her lip, She finally whispered, "Maybe... I don't know. I just get nervous around him, okay?"
Hana sighed, finally relenting. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry, Jungkook. I didn't mean to push you so hard. I just wanted to know the truth."
Jungkook asked, "Why does it matter so much, Hana?"
Hana smiled gently. "Because you're my friend, and I care about you. If you like him, I want to know so I can support you."
Jungkook blinked the tears that had been threatening to spill over reducing slightly. "Really?" she asked,
Hana grinned, wiping away a tear from her own eye from laughing so hard. "Oh my gosh, Jungkook! You should see your face right now! I'm just messing with you!"
Jungkook blinked, stunned. "What?"
Hana laughed harder, clutching her stomach. "I'm sorry, Jungkook. I couldn't resist. You're just so easy to tease."
Jungkook pouted, her face still flushed. "That was mean, Hana," she mumbled, but a small smile tugged at her lips.
Hana wrapped an arm around Jungkook's shoulders, giving her a friendly squeeze. "Come on, don't be mad. It's all in good fun. Besides, if you did like him, it wouldn't be the end of the world."
Jungkook sighed, the tension finally easing from her body. "Yeah, yeah. Just... don't scare me like that again."
Hana turned to Jungkook with a mischievous glint in her eye. "You know what, Jungkook? Lisa and I are going to act like cupids for you and Taehyung."
Jungkook's eyes widened, and she shook her head vigorously. "What? No, Hana, you don't have to-"
Hana interrupted, "Oh, but we want to. It'll be fun, trust me."
Lisa, who had overheard the conversation, joined in with a grin. "Yep, consider us your personal matchmakers. We'll make sure you two get together."
Jungkook buried her face in her hands, groaning. "This is going to be a disaster, isn't it?"
Hana and Lisa laughed, their excitement palpable. "Nope, it's going to be perfect," Hana assured, winking at Jungkook.
Later, in the hallway, the usual buzz of students moving between classes filled the air. Lisa and Hana were huddled together near the washroom, their expressions unusually serious as they whispered back and forth. Jungkook, noticing their intense discussion, frowned with concern. Thinking it was something important, she made her way over to them.
"Hey, what's going on?" Jungkook asked, her curiosity piqued.
Lisa and Hana immediately fell silent, their heads snapping up to look at her. For a moment, they exchanged guilty glances before Hana broke into a wide grin.
"Oh, nothing serious," Hana said, trying to sound casual. "Just... uh, discussing some plans."
Jungkook narrowed her eyes, feeling that something was off. "Plans? What kind of plans?"
Lisa sighed dramatically, realizing they couldn't keep it a secret any longer. "Alright, fine. We were talking about how to set you up with Taehyung."
Jungkook's eyes widened in shock, her cheeks turning bright red. "What? Are you serious?"
Hana nodded enthusiastically. "Yep! We're going to play matchmaker and help you two get together."
Jungkook facepalmed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and disbelief. "I can't believe you two... This is so embarrassing!"
Lisa laughed, patting Jungkook on the back. "Come on, it's going to be fun! Trust us, we've got it all planned out."
Jungkook groaned, shaking her head. "You two are unbelievable."
Hana and Lisa exchanged a triumphant high-five. "Just leave it to us, Jungkook. You'll thank us later," Hana said with a wink.
Despite her initial embarrassment, Jungkook couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement. Maybe, just maybe, her friends' crazy plan would work out after all.
"Why are you doing this?" Jungkook asked, her voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and exasperation.
Hana grinned mischievously. "Because I want to make you my sister-in-law."
Jungkook's eyes widened in shock. "Sister-in-law? Are you serious?"
Lisa nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely! We think you and Taehyung would be perfect together."
Jungkook's cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink but she looked at them with done expression. "You both have gone mad..."
Hana laughed, patting her on the back. "Relax, Jungkook. We're just helping things along. You've liked him for a while, right?"
Jungkook looked down, fiddling with her fingers. "Well, yeah, but..."
"No buts!" Lisa interrupted. "We've got a plan, and it's going to be great."
Jungkook sighed, feeling both anxious and excited. "I hope you two know what you're doing."
Hana and Lisa exchanged confident glances. "Trust us, Jungkook. We've got this," Hana said with a wink.
"What are you planning?" Jungkook asked while eating her lunch, her eyes darting between Hana and Lisa.
Hana and Lisa smirked at each other, causing Jungkook to feel even more confused. "What is the best way to make someone realize their feelings?" Hana asked, leaning in conspiratorially.
Jungkook shrugged, still chewing her food. Lisa answered, "To make them jealous."
"Exactly," Hana said, wriggling her eyebrows mischievously. "We will make my brother jealous."
Jungkook nearly choked on her lunch. "How?"
Lisa grinned. "We'll pretend that someone else is interested in you. Taehyung will see what he's missing out on and-"
"He'll realize his true feelings!" Hana finished, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Jungkook's face turned a deep shade of red. "I don't know if that's a good idea..."
Hana said, patting her hand reassuringly. "It's foolproof. You just have to go along with it."
Jungkook sighed, feeling a mix of nervousness and anticipation. "Alright, but just don't make it too obvious, okay?"
"Deal," Lisa said, raising her sandwich in a mock toast. "To making Taehyung jealous!"
"Now we need someone for our plan," Lisa said, tapping her chin thoughtfully.
"Jimin," Hana chirped, her eyes lighting up with the idea. "He's Taehyung's best friend and knows him really well. Plus, he'd probably love to help."
Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise. "You want to involve his classmate in this? Won't he tell him?"
Hana shook her head. "No way! Jimin loves this kind of drama. He'd be all for it."
Lisa nodded in agreement. "Exactly. And he'll make it look convincing without going overboard."
Lisa sighed but asked, feeling a little better about the plan. "But how do we get Jimin on board?"
Hana spoke with a grin. "Leave that to me."
🌷
Later that evening, Hana sat cross-legged on her bed, her phone pressed to her ear. The sun was setting outside, casting a warm glow over her room.
"Jimin, you have to come over tonight," she said, her voice filled with urgency.
Jimin's voice crackled through the phone. "Why? What's going on?"
"We need your help with something important," Hana replied, glancing at her closed bedroom door to make sure no one was eavesdropping. "It's about Taehyung and Jungkook."
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Jimin spoke again, his tone curious. "Oh? This sounds interesting. What exactly do you need me to do?"
"Come over and we'll explain everything. Trust me, it's going to be fun."
"Alright, I'm in," Jimin agreed, a hint of excitement in his voice. "I'll be there in an hour."
"Perfect! See you soon," Hana said, hanging up the phone. She turned to Lisa, who was sitting on the floor, flipping through a magazine.
"Jimin's on his way," Hana announced.
Lisa looked up with a smile. "Great. This plan is really coming together."
An hour later, Jimin arrived at Hana's house, a mischievous grin on his face. They settled in Hana's room, the door securely closed to ensure privacy.
"Alright, ladies. What's the plan?" Jimin asked, leaning back against Hana's desk.
Hana and Lisa quickly filled him in on their scheme, explaining how they wanted to make Taehyung jealous to bring out his true feelings for Jungkook. Jimin listened intently, nodding along.
"So, you want me to pretend to be interested in Jungkook to make Taehyung jealous?" Jimin summarized, raising an eyebrow.
"Exactly," hana confirmed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Brother needs a little push to realize his feelings. If he sees you showing interest in Jungkook, it might just do the trick."
Lisa added, "We need someone who's close enough to both of them but not too close to make it believable. And you're perfect for the job."
Jimin chuckled. "This is going to be fun. I'm totally in. Let's get Taehyung to realize what he's missing out on."
Hana and Lisa exchanged a triumphant look. "Alright, Jimin. Here's the plan," Hana began, outlining the steps they would take to execute their scheme.
But their excitement broke when they heard a knock on the door.
"Hana,"
Hana's heart skipped a beat as she hurried to the door, her mind racing for a explanation. With trembling hands, she turned the doorknob and faced Tae, who stood there with a furrowed brow, his gaze flickering between Hana and Jimin.
"Brother," Hana greeted nervously, trying to keep her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her.
Taehyung's eyes narrowed slightly as he glanced at Jimin, who stood just behind Hana. "Jimin, what are you doing here?" he asked, his tone tinged with suspicion.
Jimin, ever quick on his feet, managed a somewhat sheepish smile. "Oh, hey Tae. I, uh, came to return a book to Hana," he said, holding up a small paperback in his hand as if to emphasize his point.
Hana felt a rush of relief as Jimin smoothly inserted their cover story. She shot him a grateful glance before turning her attention back to Tae, hoping he would buy their explanation.
"A book?" Tae repeated, his voice skeptical. "At this hour?"
Hana nodded quickly, trying to appear nonchalant. "Yes, it's... it's an old book he borrowed. We were just... discussing it," she improvised, hoping her nerves weren't too obvious.
Tae studied them for a moment longer, his expression unreadable. His eyes darted between Jimin and Hana, searching for any sign of deception. Hana held her breath, praying that their hastily concocted story would hold up under his scrutiny.
Finally, Tae seemed to relent, albeit reluctantly. "Right," he said with a nod, though the tension in his voice lingered. "Well, I won't keep you. I just... wanted to check in. I'll see you later."
With that, Tae turned and began to walk away. Hana let out a quiet sigh of relief, her shoulders slumping slightly as the immediate threat passed. She closed the door softly, turning back to Jimin and Lisa with concern.
"Thanks," Hana whispered to Jimin, her voice filled with genuine appreciation for his quick thinking.
Jimin smiled weakly, clearly still shaken by the close call. "No problem. We need to be more careful from now on."
Lisa nodded in agreement, her expression serious. "Agreed. We can't afford any slip-ups if we want this plan to work."
Togther, they gathered once more around the coffee table. They resumed their discussion in hushed tones, voices mingling with determination and caution. Hours passed as they plotted their next moves, considering every angle and potential consequence. The moon hung high in the sky outside, casting a soft glow through the window as they strategized late into the night.
Hana couldn't shake the feeling that they were on the verge of something significant-a key moment that could change everything. With Jimin and Lisa by her side, she felt a flicker of hope amidst the uncertainty.
"We will not tell Jungkook about it to make it more natural," Hana whispered, her voice tinged with determination as the trio finalized their plan.
Jimin and Lisa nodded in agreement, understanding the importance of keeping Jungkook in the dark. Lisa spoke up, her tone steady and assured, "If Jungkook knows, it might seem staged. It has to feel spontaneous, like it's just unfolding naturally."
Hana exhaled slowly, feeling the weight of their decision settle upon her. "Right. We have to be careful with every step we take."
With their strategy in place, they dispersed briefly to collect themselves. Hana took a moment to steady her nerves, Jimin checked his phone for any messages, and Lisa straightened her posture, steeling herself for the role she would play.
"Let's do this," Jimin said quietly.
Hana nodded, her heart racing with anticipation and anxiety. "We can do this. Together."
Lisa gave them both a reassuring smile. "Remember, We don't want any suspicion."
As they clasped hands briefly in unity, they knew they were embarking on a risky endeavour-one that could alter their relationships forever.
"The first step is making friend with jungkook. As she is introverted, it will take time for her to become confident around jimin," Hana spoke.
"Don't worry, that my responsibility," Jimin smiled at them.
It was a crisp afternoon at school, and Jimin spotted Jungkook sitting alone on a bench, her nose buried in a book. Jimin hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath and approached her with a warm smile.
"Hey, Jungkook," Jimin greeted softly as he reached the bench. "What book are you reading?"
Jungkook looked up, surprised to see Jimin standing there.
She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Oh, um, h-hi, just revising for the test,"
Jimin nodded, sitting down carefully next to her. "Oh, Mind if I join you?"
Jungkook hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Sure," she replied in a quiet voice and turned her attention to her book.
They sat together in comfortable silence for a while, Jimin occasionally stealing glances at Jungkook who seemed lost in her book. Wanting to break the ice further, Jimin pointed to a doodle on the edge of Jungkook's notebook.
"What's this?" Jimin asked gently, his tone encouraging.
Jungkook glanced at Jimin briefly. "Oh, um, just something I doodled whenever I get bored," she mumbled, her fingers tracing the edges nervously.
Jimin grinned, trying to put her at ease. "You're really good," he complimented sincerely. "I wish I could draw like that."
A hint of surprise flickered in Jungkook's eyes, but she smiled in response. "Thanks, Jimin."
Encouraged by her response, Jimin continued to chat with her about books, movies, and their favorite subjects in school. He kept the conversation light and easy, mindful of Jungkook's quieter nature.
Before long, the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch break. Jimin glanced at Jungkook, realizing they had spent the entire break together.
"Well, I guess I should head to class," Jungkook said softly, starting to gather her things.
Jimin nodded, standing up beside her. "Yeah, me too," he agreed warmly, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Thanks for letting me hang out with you, Jungkook. It was really nice."
Jungkook smiled, "No problem. Th-thank you for keeping me company," she replied quietly, her eyes meeting his briefly before looking away.
As they parted ways, Jimin couldn't help but feel a sense of joy. He knew that this simple interaction had opened the door to a potential friendship with Jungkook, whose quiet charm and genuine kindness had left an impression on him.
🌷
The next day, Jungkook walked through the school corridor, hands struggling under the weight of a tall stack of books. Spotting her from a distance, Jimin hurried over to lend a hand.
"Hey, Jungkook," Jimin greeted with a smile, reaching out to take some of the books. "Let me help you with those. Where do they go?"
Jungkook nodded gratefully. "Class 12," he replied, his voice slightly muffled by the books.
"Oh, my class," Jimin exclaimed, a touch of excitement in his voice. "Let's go!"
Together, they made their way down the hallway towards class 12. Jimin kept the conversation light as they walked, chatting about school and upcoming events.
"So, how's your day been so far?" Jimin asked, trying to keep the atmosphere relaxed.
Jungkook shrugged lightly. "Busy, as usual. But managing," she replied with a faint smile.
As they entered the classroom, Jimin assisted Jungkook in organizing the books while they continued their conversation.
"These need to go over here," Jimin said, placing a stack of books on a nearby desk.
Jungkook nodded in agreement, stacking books neatly. "Thank you."
"No problem," Jimin replied, glancing over at Jungkook with a supportive smile. "We make a good team."
Meanwhile, unknown to them, Taehyung observed from a distance with no expression. His gaze lingered on Jimin and Jungkook, watching their interaction closely.
Jimin couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as he helped Jungkook. He glanced over at Taehyung, hoping that their plan to make Taehyung realize his feelings for Jungkook was working.
From across the room, Taehyung's expression remained unreadable. He watched them quietly, deep in thought.
After they finished arranging the books, Jimin exchanged a meaningful look with Jungkook. With a final nod, Jungkook left the classroom. Jimin returned to his seat beside Taehyung after helping Jungkook with the books. He couldn't shake off the sight of Taehyung's stoic expression from earlier. As he sat down, Jimin stole a glance at Taehyung, trying to understand what might be going through his friend's mind.
Taehyung sat quietly, his features composed yet mysterious. Jimin hesitated, unsure whether to address the tension he sensed between them or to wait for Taehyung to initiate the subject himself.
After a moment, Jimin cleared his throat softly, breaking the silence between them. "Everything alright, Tae?" he asked in a gentle tone.
Taehyung turned to him slowly, meeting Jimin's gaze with a thoughtful expression. "Yeah, everything's fine," he replied calmly, though his eyes held a hint of introspection.
Jimin nodded, respecting Taehyung's privacy while silently hoping for a hint of what might be bothering him. He knew Taehyung well enough to sense when something was wrong
As the days passed, the relationship dynamics among jimin, Jungkook, Hana, and Lisa changed. While Jungkook and Taehyung's interactions remained confined to fleeting glances and unspoken words, Jimin found himself gradually becoming a crucial part of their trio with Hana and Lisa.
Their bond grew stronger as they spent more time together, often finding moments to joke around and playfully tease each other. Jimin's infectious laughter and playful demeanor brought a light-hearted energy to their group that Jungkook found both comforting and exhilarating.
One afternoon after classes, Jimin caught up with Jungkook, Hana, and Lisa near the school gates. "Hey, you three! Ready for the weekend?" he asked with a wide grin, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
Jungkook smiled softly, feeling more at ease in Jimin's presence. "Definitely. Any plans?" she replied, adjusting her bag on her shoulder.
Jimin shrugged casually, his tone teasing. "Maybe we could go check out that new cafe downtown. I heard they have amazing desserts," he suggested, glancing at Hana and Lisa to gauge their reaction.
Hana, always up for an adventure, grinned eagerly. "Sounds like a plan!" she exclaimed, nudging Lisa playfully.
Lisa nodded with a smile, her eyes lighting up at the idea. "I'm in. Desserts sound like the perfect way to unwind," she agreed warmly.
The trio continued to banter and make plans for the weekend, their laughter echoing through the emptying school courtyard. Jimin couldn't help but notice how Jungkook's smile seemed brighter in his presence, and he cherished these moments of friendship. The group's friendship blossomed organically, fueled by shared jokes, mutual respect, and a growing sense of trust.
Little did Jimin know, his increasing closeness with Jungkook and their trio's bond was beginning to stir feelings of jealousy within Taehyung. As they continued to joke around and playfully interact, Taehyung couldn't help but wonder if there was more to Jimin and Jungkook's friendship than met the eye.
🌷
One day, Taehyung was walking through the school corridor when he spotted Jungkook and Jimin standing outside the class, engrossed in conversation. They were laughing and smiling, their faces lit up, maybe with the jokes and stories.
As Taehyung watched them from a distance, he felt an unfamiliar pang in his chest. It was a strange mix of emotions-curiosity, confusion, and something else he couldn't quite identify. He couldn't help but notice how comfortable and happy Jungkook seemed with Jimin, and it stirred something within him.
He had always known Jungkook to be shy and reserved, especially around new people. Seeing her so relaxed and animated with Jimin was surprising, and it made him feel... different.
Taehyung's steps slowed as he observed them, a slight frown creasing his forehead. He tried to brush off the feeling, telling himself that it was good for Jungkook to have more friends. Yet, he couldn't shake off the slight discomfort that gnawed at him.
"Why does it bother me?" he muttered under his breath, feeling a twinge of jealousy. "They're just friends, right?"
He knew he had no reason to be jealous. But seeing them together, so close and happy, made Taehyung realize just how much he cared about Jungkook and how much he wanted to be the one to make her smile like that.
Taehyung shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. It was about how he felt about Jungkook. He cared for her deeply, more than he had admitted to himself. Seeing her so close to someone else had triggered a realization-he didn't want to just be a friend to her.
He wanted to be the one who made Jungkook laugh, who she turned to for comfort and joy.
Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I need to sort this out," he muttered. He knew he couldn't keep these feelings bottled up forever. If he wanted a chance with Jungkook, he needed to be honest with her-and with himself.
🌷
Jungkook carefully exited the staffroom, her arms wrapped around a large project the teacher had assigned. Her steps were cautious as she navigated the bustling corridor, her eyes flicking nervously to the ground every few seconds, worried about tripping and ruining the delicate model.
From the opposite direction, Taehyung was making his rounds, part of his duty. He noticed Jungkook struggling with the project, her shoelaces untied and her hands too full to fix them. Observing the crowded hallway, he saw an opportunity to help her without drawing too much attention.
As he approached, Jungkook was so focused on balancing the project that she didn't see him coming. She flinched and stumbled slightly when she bumped into someone, her grip on the project faltering.
"Oh no, the project," Jungkook gasped, her eyes widening in panic as she looked down at the model, now precariously close to falling.
"Can't you see and walk-" she began to scold, but her words died on her lips when she looked up and realized it was Taehyung standing before her.
"Captain. I'm sorry," Jungkook mumbled, her eyes wide with surprise and a touch of fear. She gulped, unsure of his reaction.
Jungkook was shocked to see Taehyung standing in front of her. Panic surged through her, and she hurriedly tried to walk away, but Taehyung reached out and gently stopped her.
"Jungkook, wait," he said firmly.
Jungkook felt her cheeks burn as Taehyung knelt down in front of her, his calm demeanor contrasting sharply with her own embarrassment. She fidgeted nervously, unsure of where to look as he began tying her shoelaces. The attention from other students around them only intensified her discomfort, and she could feel their curious glances.
" you don't have to-" she started, her voice barely above a whisper, but Taehyung shook his head gently, his focus solely on the task at hand.
"It's okay," he reassured her quietly, his fingers deftly working the laces. "Just let me do this."
Jungkook stood rooted to the spot, her hands clutching the project tightly against her chest. She felt exposed and vulnerable under the gaze of their peers. Taehyung's proximity and his simple act of kindness made her heart race with a mixture of gratitude and shyness that left her tongue-tied.
Finally, Taehyung finished tying her shoelaces and stood up, brushing off his knees casually. "There," he said with a warm smile. "Now you won't trip."
Jungkook managed a small nod, unable to meet his gaze directly. She could still feel the warmth of his touch lingering on her shoes, and her cheeks burned brighter with every passing second. Taehyung gave a nod and walked away smiling lightly.
Jungkook followed quietly, her mind swirling with conflicting emotions. She appreciated Taehyung's help, yet she wished the ground would swallow her whole from the attention. His calm and reassuring presence only made her admire him more, but her shyness prevented her from expressing it.
🌷
Jungkook was waiting in the school courtyard for Lisa and Hana. She leaned against a tree, her thoughts drifting back to the moment with Taehyung earlier. Her heart still fluttered with a mix of embarrassment and gratitude.
Just then, she spotted Lisa approaching with a mischievous grin plastered across her face. Before Jungkook could react, Lisa tackled her in a playful hug.
"You know what," Lisa began excitedly, "a boy from class 12 stopped me and asked for your ID because he found your smile beautiful!"
Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise, "What? Who was it?" she asked, her voice a mix of curiosity and disbelief.
Lisa laughed, clearly enjoying Jungkook's reaction. "I didn't get his name, but he seemed pretty serious about it. You've got an admirer, Jungkook!"
"Here I am, struggling to get his attention, and now new people are coming into the picture," Jungkook huffed cutely, crossing her arms and pouting slightly.
Lisa laughed, unable to resist teasing her friend a little more. "Well, it looks like you're more popular than you thought," she said with a playful grin.
Jungkook sighed, feeling both flattered and exasperated. "I just don't get it," she said. "Why now, when I'm already confused about captain?"
Lisa's expression softened, and she put an arm around Jungkook's shoulders. "Maybe it's a sign," she said thoughtfully. "You know, to show you that you're special and people notice you, even if Taehyung brother hasn't said anything yet."
Jungkook looked up at Lisa, her eyes filled with uncertainty. "But what if he never does?" she asked quietly.
Lisa squeezed her shoulder reassuringly. "Then it's his loss," she replied. "You're amazing, Jungkook. Anyone would be lucky to have you in their life. Just keep being yourself, and things will work out."
Jungkook smiled, feeling a bit more at ease thanks to Lisa's encouragement. "Thanks, Lisa," she said. "I guess I just have to wait and see what happens."
they continued chatting and waiting for Hana, Jungkook couldn't help but feel a spark of hope. Maybe things would work out with Taehyung, or maybe she'd find happiness elsewhere. Either way, she knew she had friends like Lisa who would support her no matter what.
🌷
One day, Taehyung sat in the classroom, focused on solving a physics numerical problem. As he concentrated on the calculations, he caught snippets of conversation from behind him. Curious, he turned slightly and saw a boy animatedly sharing his admiration for someone's smile to his friend.
"Yeah, dude, you should have seen it," the boy was saying with excitement. "Her smile just lights up the whole room. I'm totally crushing on her."
His friend chuckled. "So, are you going to ask for her insta ID?"
The boy nodded eagerly. "Yeah, I'm planning to. I just hope she agrees."
"So, what the name?"
"Jeon jungkook,"
Taehyung's concentration broke as he overheard the name "Jeon Jungkook" spoken by the boy behind him. His hand paused midway through jotting down an equation, his mind suddenly elsewhere.
"Jeon Jungkook?" the other boy echoed, clearly intrigued.
The boy nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, she's in class 11. Have you seen her smile? It's like... magic."
Taehyung felt a strange mix of emotions stir within him. Hearing Jungkook's name from the purpose of someone admiring her smile made him realise of something he couldn't quite define. He had always known Jungkook as the quiet, reserved girl in the class, someone who often kept to herself. Yet, the idea of someone else noticing and appreciating her in such a way struck a chord with him.
He tuned back again and looked at the boy. Her expression changed into stoic when he realised who the boy was.
Taehyung's initial surprise turned into a knot of anger as he realized that the boy admiring Jungkook's smile was the same one who had made her uncomfortable before. Memories flashed through his mind-instances where he had noticed Jungkook looking uneasy.
His grip tightened on his pen, a mix of protectiveness and frustration rising within him. Trying to suppress his rising emotions, Taehyung took a deep breath. He knew he couldn't confront the situation impulsively. Instead, he resolved to keep an eye out for Jungkook and ensure she felt safe and respected in their classroom environment.
Later, the trio-Jungkook, Hana, and Lisa-headed to the playground for their game period. The sky was cloudy, and the air was dark because of the upcoming rain. The weather was cool and refreshing, a welcome change from the usual heat.
The three friends continued to banter, their voices mixing with the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant rumble of thunder. They found a spot under a large tree and sat down, enjoying the cool breeze that hinted at the impending rain.
As they chatted, a few drops of rain began to fall, splashing lightly on the ground around them. Lisa looked up at the sky, squinting against the raindrops. "Looks like we might get soaked if we stay here."
Hana grinned, standing up and pulling Jungkook and Lisa to their feet. "Come on, let's play a quick game before it starts pouring."
Lisa, always full of energy and ideas, suddenly lit up with excitement.
"let's have a race!" she exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with mischief.
Hana raised an eyebrow, a competitive grin spreading across her face. "You're on. From here to the end of the field?"
Jungkook, caught up in the infectious enthusiasm of her friends, nodded eagerly. "Alright, but don't blame me if you both get left in the dust!"
They lined up at an imaginary starting line, the rain now coming downslowly, barely drenching their clothes. The cool droplets felt refreshing against their skin, adding to the exhilaration of the moment.
"Ready... set... go!" Lisa shouted, and they all took off running, their feet splashing through puddles and kicking up mud.
Jungkook pumped her legs as fast as she could, her heart pounding with the thrill of the race. She could hear Hana and Lisa laughing and shouting beside her, their voices mingling with the sound of the rain. The playground blurred around her as she focused on the finish line, the end of the field seeming both impossibly far and tantalizingly close.
Hana surged ahead, her long strides giving her an advantage. "Come on, Jungkook! Keep up!" she called over her shoulder, her voice filled with playful challenge.
Lisa, on the other hand, was determined not to be left behind. She pushed herself harder, her face set with determination. "Not so fast, Hana!"
Jungkook found herself laughing despite the effort, the joy of the moment overwhelming any sense of fatigue. She dug deep, finding a burst of speed she didn't know she had, and closed the gap between her and Hana.
With one final push, they all reached the end of the field together, collapsing in a heap of laughter and breathlessness. The rain continued to pour down on them, but they didn't care. They lay there, staring up at the gray sky, the world around them a blur of raindrops and exhilaration.
"That was... amazing," Hana panted, her chest heaving with exertion.
"Yeah, we should... do that more often," Lisa agreed, wiping rain from her face.
Jungkook nodded, a wide smile on her face. "Absolutely. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun."
As they caught their breath, the rain began to lighten, the storm passing as quickly as it had come. They stood up, mud-splattered and soaked to the bone, but happier than they had been in a long time.
"Come on, let's head back before we catch a cold," Hana suggested, wringing out her hair.
They made their way back to the school building, their spirits high despite their soggy clothes. Jungkook felt a deep sense of gratitude for her friends and the spontaneous, joy-filled moments they shared. It was in these simple, unexpected experiences that she found the most happiness.
On the other side of the ground, Taehyung and his class were enjoying their games period. The sky had turned a dark gray, but the rain only added to their excitement. Taehyung was in the middle of football, his competitive spirit shining through as he dribbled the ball past his classmates.
The rain started coming down harder, but instead of dampening their spirits, it seemed to energize them even more. Their teacher, noticing the increasing intensity of the rain, blew the whistle and called out, "Alright, everyone! It's time to head back inside before you all catch a cold!"
The students groaned in unison, clearly not ready to end their fun. One of Taehyung's friends, Seokjin, called out, "Come on, just a few more minutes, please! We're having so much fun!"
Taehyung, his hair plastered to his forehead and his clothes sticking to his skin, turned to the teacher with a pleading look. "Please, just a bit longer. We don't mind getting wet."
The teacher, seeing the enthusiasm and joy in their faces, sighed and relented. "Alright, but only ten more minutes! Then we all head back, no arguments!"
A cheer erupted from the group as they resumed their game with renewed vigor. The rain poured down, creating puddles on the field, but it didn't deter them. They laughed and shouted, slipping and sliding in the mud, their spirits lifted by the sheer fun of it all.
Taehyung, feeling a rush of adrenaline, managed to score a goal, and his teammates gathered around him, celebrating with high-fives and cheers. The rain seemed to wash away all worries and stress, leaving only the pure joy of the game and the camaraderie of friends.
As they played, Taehyung glanced across the field and spotted Jungkook, Hana, and Lisa under a large tree, laughing and running around. He smiled to himself, feeling a warm sense of connection despite the distance. Seeing Jungkook enjoying herself made his heart flutter slightly, though he quickly focused back on the game.
The sight of Jungkook's smile brought a genuine warmth to Taehyung's heart, a feeling he cherished deeply.
Amidst their game, Taehyung's attention was abruptly drawn to Minho, a notorious boy known for his flirtatious habits. He noticed Minho's lingering gaze fixed on Jungkook, and a knot tightened in Taehyung's stomach. His fists clenched involuntarily, a protective instinct rising within him.
"Hey, Taehyung, focus!" one of his teammates called out, snapping Taehyung out of his thoughts. He shook his head slightly, refocusing on the game at hand, but his concern for Jungkook lingered.
Taehyung knew Minho's reputation all too well - charming on the surface but with a history of playing with others' emotions. In lamen language, A playboy. His gut told him to keep an eye on the situation, to ensure Jungkook wouldn't be caught unaware by Minho's advances.
When Taehyung noticed Minho making his way towards Jungkook, he subtly intercepted him by stepping into his path, causing Minho to pause in surprise.
"Sorry about that," Taehyung said casually, though his tone carried a hint of firmness.
Minho raised an eyebrow, slightly taken aback by the interruption. "Uh, no problem," he replied, a bit confused.
Taehyung's eyes flickered briefly towards Jungkook and her friends under the tree before returning to Minho. "Just wanted to ask if you needed something," he added, his voice calm but with an underlying hint of protectiveness.
Minho shrugged nonchalantly. "Just thought of saying hi to Jungkook," he replied with a smirk.
Taehyung faced Minho squarely, his expression serious yet composed. "Well, just a word of advice: maybe don't approach juniors unnecessarily. It might cause them trouble, especially when you've already made her uncomfortable before. Remember that ID scene,"
Minho raised an eyebrow, his smirk fading slightly at Taehyung's tone. "I was just saying hi," he retorted defensively.
Taehyung's gaze remained steady. "Sure, but Jungkook is busy with her friends. Just be mindful, okay?" His voice carried a subtle warning, emphasizing his protective stance.
Minho shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant. "Got it, man. No need to get all worked up," he replied dismissively, before walking away.
Taehyung watched Minho go, his jaw tensing slightly with lingering concern. He knew he couldn't control Minho's actions, but he hoped his message had gotten through. Turning back to the field, he resumed playing, his mind still keeping an eye on Jungkook, silently prepared to step in again if needed.
The ten minutes flew by, and finally, the teacher blew the whistle again. "Alright, everyone! Time to head back now, really!"
Reluctantly, the students began to gather their things, their laughter and chatter filling the air. Taehyung wiped his face with his sleeve, trying to push his wet hair out of his eyes. He jogged over to his friends, who were still bubbling with excitement from the game.
"That was awesome," Seokjin said, clapping Taehyung on the back. "Best game we've had in a while."
"Yeah, it was great," Taehyung agreed, his eyes drifting back to where Jungkook and her friends were. He watched Jungkook running through the rain, her laughter ringing out despite the downpour. Her uniform clung to her, and her usually shy demeanor was replaced by a joy that captivated him.
As they made their way back to the school building, Taehyung couldn't help but steal one last glance at Jungkook. She was running around with Hana and Lisa, all three of them soaked but beaming with happiness. Taehyung felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing that despite the rain and the mud, it had been a day filled with simple, genuine joy. The rain might have soaked them through, but it had also brought a burst of happiness that he wouldn't soon forget.
It was the time of dispersal. The students came out with their umbrellas, chatting and laughing as they made their way home. Jungkook, however, didn't have an umbrella. She stood alone under a shed, watching the rain pour down. Lisa had already gone away, leaving Jungkook to wait out the rain on her own.
Taehyung noticed her standing there, looking small and forlorn. He then noticed Minho and his friends exchanging glances and nudges, clearly plotting something.
Taehyung sighed and muttered to himself, "Here we go again."
He made up his mind and turned to Hana. "Hana, you can go ahead. I have some pending work to finish."
Hana raised an eyebrow but didn't question him. "Alright, brother. Don't stay too late, okay?"
"Yeah, I won't. See you," Taehyung replied with a smile. Hana nodded and walked off, leaving Taehyung to make his way over to Jungkook. Without wasting any more time, Taehyung briskly walked over to Jungkook before Minho could intercept her.
He approached her quietly, holding his umbrella. Jungkook, who was already looking at Taehyung, quickly looked away as if busy with something. Her heart was beating loudly as the distance between them decreased. She tried to focus on her ID card or uniform, her hands trembling slightly.
"Hey, Jungkook," Taehyung called out gently when he was close enough.
Jungkook looked up, trying to hide her nervousness. "Oh, hi," she stammered, feeling her cheeks warm up.
"Do you not have an umbrella?" Taehyung asked, his voice soft and concerned.
Jungkook shook her head. "No, I forgot to bring one today."
Taehyung proposed that Jungkook come with him, but Jungkook was shy and wasn't able to answer immediately. She looked down at her shoes, feeling her face flush with embarrassment.
"Um... I... uh..." she stuttered, trying to find the words.
Taehyung noticed her hesitation and gave her a gentle smile. "It's okay, Jungkook. You don't have to feel pressured. I just don't want you standing here in the rain."
Jungkook took a deep breath, her heart pounding. "I... I appreciate it, really. It's just... um, I'm not used to... this."
Taehyung nodded understandingly. "I get it. But I just want to help."
Jungkook glanced up at him, her eyes meeting his for a brief moment before she looked away again. "O-Okay," she finally managed to say. "Th-Thank you, ."
Taehyung's smile widened at her acceptance. "Great. Let's go."
He held the umbrella steady as they started walking, the rain pattering softly around them. Jungkook walked close to him, trying to stay under the cover of the umbrella. Her mind raced with a mix of nervousness and excitement.
they walked together under the umbrella, Taehyung glanced back once more at Minho, who seemed disappointed that his plan had been foiled. Taehyung gave him a knowing look, silently warning him to back off.
Taehyung smirked in victory, pleased that he had managed to intervene before Minho could approach Jungkook. He then glanced sideways at Jungkook, his expression softening as he observed her walking beside him.
"You okay?" Taehyung asked gently, noticing Jungkook's thoughtful expression.
Jungkook nodded, a small smile playing on her lips.
Jungkook stole subtle glances at Taehyung, marveling at how effortlessly he carried himself even in the rain. His features, softened by the dim light, seemed almost surreal to her, each expression he made reflecting a charm she couldn't quite put into words.
Taehyung tried to make conversation to ease her discomfort and was also eager to talk to her. "So, how was your day today? Anything interesting happen?"
Jungkook swallowed hard, trying to focus on his question. "It w-was okay. Just the usual s-stuff, I guess."
Taehyung nodded. "I see. Well, at least it's the weekend now. Got any plans?"
Jungkook shook her head. "N-Not really. Just studying, I think."
"Sounds productive," Taehyung commented. "Sometimes it's nice to just have a quiet weekend."
Jungkook nodded in agreement, her nerves starting to settle slightly. "Yeah, it is."
Jungkook found herself lost in admiration, her thoughts lingering on the way his hair glistened with droplets or how his eyes held a hint of mischief whenever he glanced her way.
She wondered if he noticed the way her heart fluttered each time their hands brushed under the umbrella, or if he could hear the nervousness in her voice whenever she responded to his casual remarks. Despite the rain and the chill in the air, being close to Taehyung felt warm and safe, like a secret refuge from the world outside.
Lost in her admiration, Jungkook dared not speak too much, afraid her voice might betray the racing of her heart. Instead, she savoured the quiet companionship, the shared intimacy of walking side by side in the gentle downpour, each step bringing them closer together in more ways than one.
They continued walking, the silence between them comfortable now. Taehyung glanced at Jungkook occasionally, noting the way her face lit up when she spoke about something she enjoyed. He found her shyness endearing and wanted to make her feel at ease.
He couldn't help but admire how the raindrops glistened in her hair, the way her eyes sparkled with each flash of lightning and the soft smile that played on her lips despite the weather. Taehyung felt a warmth in his chest as he realized how lucky he was to be walking beside her, sharing this moment in the gentle patter of raindrops.
He admired the way she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and how she glanced up at the dark sky with a mixture of wonder and calmness. Taehyung couldn't shake the feeling that every step they took together brought them closer, not just in proximity but in understanding and connection.
Lost in his thoughts, Taehyung suddenly realized Jungkook was looking at him. He felt a slight flush rise to his cheeks but managed to smile back, hoping she didn't notice how much she affected him.
Together, they continued their walk through the rain, each silently admiring the other's presence in their own special way.
Taehyung smiled. "I've got a few things planned. I'm thinking of practising some guitar and maybe doing a bit of painting. It's relaxing for me."
Jungkook's eyes widened a little as she looked with twinkling eyes. "Y-You play the guitar?"
"Yeah," Taehyung smiled at jungkook's amused expression and replied with a nod. "And I love painting, too. It's a nice way to unwind."
Jungkook was about to respond when Taehyung noticed that she was walking close to the road and vehicles were passing by. Concerned for her safety, he gently moved to her side and switched places with her so that he was between her and the traffic.
Jungkook looked at him, surprised by his protective gesture. "T-Thank you," she said softly.
Taehyung smiled reassuringly. "No problem. I just want to make sure you're safe."
Jungkook felt a warmth spread through her chest. She was touched by Taehyung's kindness and attentiveness.
"So, you said you're going to study this weekend?" Taehyung asked, bringing the conversation back.
Jungkook nodded. "Y-Yes, there's a lot to cover for the upcoming exams."
Taehyung admired her dedication. "That's great. If you ever need a break or want to do something fun, just let me know. We could, I don't know, maybe go for a walk or something."
Jungkook felt her cheeks flush at his offer. She looked down, trying to hide her blush. As they continued walking, the conversation flowed more easily, and she found herself feeling more comfortable around him. While walking under the umbrella, their hands occasionally brushed against each other, sending small jolts of electricity through Jungkook. Each time it happened, her heart skipped a beat, and she could feel her cheeks warming up despite the cool rain.
🌷
At night, Taehyung found himself sitting by the window in his room. Rain pattered against the glass, creating a soothing rhythm that matched the steady beat of his thoughts.
He picked up his phone absentmindedly, unlocking it with a soft tap. There, among his apps and messages, was a photo of Jungkook that he had saved. It captured her bright smile and the way her eyes crinkled at the corners.
As he stared at the picture, a smile tugged at the corners of Taehyung's lips. Memories of their time together flooded his mind-the way she looked up at him from under the umbrella, her shy laughter that warmed his heart, and the way she was amused when she got to know that he played guitar.
He remembered how her presence had brightened his day, how effortlessly she had made him feel comfortable and understood. Taehyung couldn't deny the flutter of excitement he felt whenever he was around her, a feeling he hadn't experienced in a long time.
The sound of rain intensified outside, drawing Taehyung's attention back to the present. He glanced out at the darkened sky and in that moment, he realized just how much Jungkook had come to mean to him.
Closing his eyes briefly, Taehyung whispered to himself, "You are something special, aren't you?"
He knew he wanted to spend more time with her, to unravel the mysteries behind her shy smiles and quiet laughter.
With a sigh of contentment, Taehyung set his phone aside, knowing that tomorrow would bring another chance to see Jungkook again. He leaned back against the window, watching the raindrops slide down the glass.
Night had fallen softly, the patter of rain against the window creating a soothing cadence in Jungkook's room. She sat cross-legged on her bed, bathed in the warm glow of a bedside lamp. The scent of damp earth and rain spread throughout the air, a comforting backdrop to her thoughts.
In her lap rested an open diary, its pages blank and waiting for her words. Jungkook's fingers hovered over the lined paper, a soft blush tinting her cheeks as she recalled the events of the day. The memory of Taehyung's kindness lingered in her mind, each moment under the shared umbrella replaying vividly.
July 6, 2024
Dear diary,
Tonight, I find myself unable to shake off the warmth that Taehyung's presence brings. His kind gesture of sharing his umbrella with me earlier today made my heart flutter in a way I can't quite describe. It's funny how a simple act can leave such a lasting impression.
I sat by the window, watching the raindrops race down the glass, and couldn't help but smile as I remembered his reassuring smile and how effortlessly he made me feel at ease. His words linger in my mind, and I find myself replaying our short walk together under the umbrella, each step feeling like a gentle dance in the rain.
I know I'm usually quiet and shy around him, stumbling over my words more often than not, but tonight, in the quiet of my room, I find solace in writing down these feelings. Maybe someday, I'll find the courage to share them with him.
Taehyung... his presence always manages to stir something within me. Today, when I found myself alone in the rain, he appeared like a knight in shining armor, offering his umbrella without a word.
I can't deny the flutter in my chest whenever he's near. His kindness, his smile-it's as if he sees through me in a way that no one else does. And yet, I find myself tongue-tied whenever he's around, unable to express what I truly feel.
Tonight, as I write this, I can't help but wonder what Taehyung thinks of me. Does he see me as just a friend, or could there be something more? I wish I had the courage to tell him how much his gestures mean to me, how they brighten even the gloomiest of days.
For now, I'll treasure this memory, holding onto it like a delicate flower in the rain, hoping it blooms into something beautiful.
I'll cherish these moments in my heart and hope that one day, I'll find the words to let him know.
Yours
Koo~
Jungkook closed the diary gently, her thoughts swirling amidst the soft pitter-patter of rain against the windowpane. She sat there for a moment, feeling the weight of her emotions settle in the quiet of her room.
She traced the edges of the diary with her fingertips, the inked words inside still fresh in her mind. Taehyung's presence, his gestures and words replaying like a cherished melody. A shy smile tugged at her lips as she recalled their moments together, the way he had looked at her with kindness and understanding.
Closing her eyes, Jungkook let herself indulge in the sweetness of her feelings. Thoughts of Taehyung filled her heart with a gentle warmth, reassuring her in a way that words couldn't quite capture.
With a contented sigh, she tucked the diary under her pillow, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. The rain continued its soothing rhythm outside. At that moment, Jungkook didn't know that whatever the future held but she was grateful for the happiness Taehyung had brought into her life.
