Chapter 23: Dreams Do Come True

Jungkook stirred slowly, the gentle morning light from the window disturbed her sleep. Her lashes fluttered as she blinked, her sleepy eyes adjusting to the sharp light. She blinked lazily, her gaze landing on the figure beside her.

There, just inches away, Taehyung lay propped up on his side, his cheek resting in his palm as he quietly watched her. His deep brown eyes were soft dripping with love, his lips curling into a small smile. The sunlight highlighted the sharp lines of his jaw and the soft texture of his hair.

Jungkook's heart fluttered at the sight of him. She tucked away the bird nest hairs, her delicate fingers moving slowly as she adjusted her position on the bed. A small yawn escaped her lips, and she blinked again, this time meeting his gaze fully.

"Good morning," she whispered, vice drowsy with the sleep. her cheeks flushing faintly at the way Taehyung was looking at her like she was the most precious thing in his world.

Without saying a word, Taehyung leaned closer, his deep gaze never breaking from hers. His fingers moved, brushing a few stray strands of hair away from Jungkook's face. He leaned in slowly, his breath fanning her forehead before his lips pressed softly against her skin. The kiss was gentle as if he were sealing a silent promise. His lips stayed for just a moment longer before he pulled back, his gaze still locked onto hers.

Jungkook felt the world slow down at that moment. The touch of his lips sent a wave of warmth from her forehead to her heart. She closed her eyes, letting herself sink into the comfort of his closeness.

"Happy birthday, my cuòre," Taehyung whispered. His words seemed to melt into her skin like honey, filling her heart with warmth that bloomed within her chest. Butterflies— that jungkook felt at that moment.

| Cuòre means heart. |⏎

Jungkook's lips curled into a soft shy smile, her cheeks flushing the lightest shade of pink. The quiet morning made the intimacy between them feel more precious. She blinked slowly, her lashes brushing her cheeks and her heart swelled.

Taehyung placed his other hand beside her head on the bed, his body hovering just above hers, creating a nest of warmth and safety. His other hand trailed down her arm, his fingers tracing delicate patterns on her skin. Gently, Taehyung lowered his body closer, caging Jungkook between his arms.

Jungkook's breath hitched as Taehyung's nose brushed against hers. He gazed at her, his eyes filled with an unspoken emotion that made her heart race. Her own hand reached up to rest on his chest, feeling his heart beneath her palm. Jungkook's fingers grazed Taehyung's arm. Her fingertips traced over his skin.

"Thank you," Jungkook whispered, her voice so soft it was barely audible, but the sincerity in her words was absolute.

"I wanted to be the first to wish you," Taehyung said softly, the edges of his lips lifting in a tender smile. His gaze never wavered, as if the rest of the world had disappeared and only they existed in that moment.

Jungkook's heart skipped a beat at his words, her emotions bubbling up inside her as her eyes shimmered with unshed tears of joy. She reached up to place her hand over his, which was caressing her flushed cheek. Her fingers fit perfectly over his as if their hands had always been meant to find each other.

"You always know how to make me feel loved," Jungkook said, her voice full of emotion, her words spilling out with all the gratitude she couldn't contain.

Taehyung's smile deepened, and without a word, he leaned in once more, pressing another kiss to her forehead. His breath fanned across her skin as he pulled away, but the closeness between them remained.

They stayed like that, their foreheads resting against each other, their breaths mingling in the morning light. Jungkook's hand stayed over his, her thumb now brushing against his fingers in slow motion. Jungkook's heart felt full, overflowing with quiet happiness that only these moments with Taehyung could bring. She blinked slowly, her lashes fluttering against her cheeks as she relished the sweetness of their embrace.

This was the first time Taehyung would celebrate Jungkook's birthday after truly getting to know her. He remembered her eighteenth birthday, the way he had shyly given her the moon charm bracelet, not knowing back then just how significant she would become to him. He recalled how the years following that day had taken them down separate paths, with Taehyung going off abroad for his studies, and the distance pulling them apart.

But today, things were different. Today, Jungkook was his, fully and completely.

The feeling of celebrating Jungkook's birthday for the first time as her husband made his heart race with excitement. His mind was filled with plans—small surprises, thoughtful gestures, everything to make sure this day was perfect for her.

Taehyung couldn't help but think about how much had changed since those days. The quiet, shy junior he once knew was now the wife he adored, the one who filled his days with light and warmth. And now, he had the privilege of being the first one to wish her, to make this day unforgettable.

"I've been waiting for this," Taehyung whispered.

His heart swelled with pride as he thought about the journey they had been on, the way fate had brought them back together, stronger than ever. Jungkook blinked at him, her sleepy expression melting into a gentle smile as she remembered the bracelet, a piece of jewellery she still cherished after all these years.

Her fingers instinctively reached for it, the moon charm cool against her skin, a precious reminder of the bond they shared long before they even knew what it would mean.

"Remember this?" Jungkook asked softly, holding her wrist up to show him the bracelet.

Taehyung's eyes softened as he nodded, his fingers brushing over the delicate charm.

"I do. It was the first gift I ever gave you. I never imagined back then that I'd be lucky enough to spend all of your birthdays with you."

Jungkook's smile grew, her cheeks flushing with a soft, rosy hue. "And now you're here. For every birthday," she said, her voice full of gratefulness.

Taehyung's excitement bubbled beneath the surface. This was a day he had been waiting for, a day where he could spoil her, show her how much she meant to him—not just with words, but through every little thing he had planned.

Taehyung slipped out of bed, his bare feet padding across the room. He turned toward Jungkook, who was just beginning to stir. Her eyes blinked open, soft and still a little drowsy, as she sat up, but before his shirt, draped loosely over her delicate frame, slipped down her shoulder.

The sight made his heart flutter—an intimate moment belonged only to them.

Taehyung's lips curved into a mischievous grin as he crossed the room. Without warning, he reached down and pulled Jungkook up from the bed, his arms circling her waist and effortlessly lifting her into a bridal style.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook's surprised giggle filled the room, her cheeks flushing as her arms instinctively wrapped around his neck.

Her wide, sparkling eyes wandered around the room. The white flowers that decorated every surface created a peaceful dreamy atmosphere. The delicate petals caught the sunlight and the air was filled with the light scent of fresh flowers.

Jungkook's heart fluttered as she admired the effort he had put in, realizing that everything had been carefully planned to start her birthday with magic.

"Tae..this," she whispered, her voice soft and filled with awe.

Taehyung glanced down at her with a loving smile.

"I told you, today is special," he said and led them through the room, out towards the small balcony.

The sight took Jungkook's breath away—a small, beautifully decorated cake sat on the balcony table, surrounded by more flowers. The morning breeze brushed against their skin, carrying the fragrance of fresh blooms with it, making the moment feel even more magical.

Jungkook looked up at him, her heart swelling with emotion. "You did all of this... for me?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly with gratitude.

Taehyung chuckled softly, his grip on her tightening as he kissed the top of her head. "Of course, I did. You deserve everything, Jungkook. Every little thing."

He gently placed her down near the table, keeping his arm around her waist. Jungkook's eyes sparkled as she took a closer look at the cake—simple yet elegant, just like everything else he had done for her.
The tiny heart on the cake made her heart flutter.

"Happy birthday, my love," Taehyung whispered, leaning down to press a soft kiss against her forehead again.

Taehyung guided Jungkook towards the small table on the balcony where the cake sat. White flowers framed the scene, their delicate petals fluttering slightly in the morning wind.

"Ready for the first bite of your special day?" Taehyung asked with a boyish smile, his eyes twinkling with excitement. Jungkook nodded, her lips curving into a soft smile.

He handed her a small knife, and with delicate hands, Jungkook made the first cut into the cake. The soft, creamy texture parted easily under the knife's touch. Taehyung watched her, captivated by every small movement she made—the way her eyes lit up, how her cheeks glowed with a soft blush, and the little furrow of concentration in her brows.

Jungkook took a small piece of the cake and held it up to Taehyung's lips. "You first,"

Taehyung leaned in to take a bite, his lips brushing against her fingertips in the process. Her heart skipped a beat at the fondness of the moment.

"My turn," Taehyung murmured, taking a piece and offering it to her. Jungkook opened her mouth, enjoying the sweet taste of the cake.

"Good?" he asked. Jungkook nodded, her eyes sparkling with happiness.

"You know," Taehyung started, breaking the soft silence, "I remember your first birthday. I was so nervous, not sure if you'd even like the bracelet I gave you."

Jungkook laughed softly, resting her head against his chest. "I loved it, Tae. I wore it every day."

Taehyung lifted her hand to kiss the moon charm bracelet she still wore, the same one he had given her all those years ago. "I'm glad you're still wearing it... even after all this time."

Jungkook lifted her head and met his gaze, eyes soft and full of love. "Of course I am. It's a part of you, just like you're a part of me."

They sat down together on the small chair and fed each other small pieces of cake. The small chair seemed to shrink as Taehyung gently pulled Jungkook closer. He laid her down on his chest, her head resting against him. Her body fit perfectly against his, as if they were made to be together. Jungkook nestled into him, her cheek pressed against his shirt.

Taehyung's arms wrapped around her with a gentle firmness, his fingers lightly stroking her back. He let out a contented sigh, feeling her warmth and the steady rhythm of her breathing against him. Jungkook's fingers absentmindedly traced small patterns on his chest, her touch soft and soothing.

They stayed like that for a moment, basking in the quiet comfort of each other's presence.

After their mini-celebration, Taeyyung stood up and adjusted Jungkook in his arms, holding her closer as he carried her back inside.

"Will you carry me like this all day?" Jungkook asked playfully, her fingers tracing light patterns on his chest.

"If it means keeping you close to me, I'll carry you like this for a lifetime."

Jungkook's cheeks flushed at his words and she giggled. her heart fluttering in her chest. She looked up at him, biting her lip shyly, her eyes sparkling with adoration and mischief.

Taehyung gently placed Jungkook on the bed, her laughter fading into soft, loving gazes. He walked over to the cupboard and pulled out a large paper bag.

"Here's your gift number one," Tashyung said.

Jungkook's eyes widened in curiosity as she took the bag from him, her fingers brushing against his as she did. She looked up at him with confusion and wonder.

"Gift number one?" Jungkook asked.

Taehyung chuckled softly, his gaze never leaving her. "Yes," he replied, "I've planned 24 gifts for you, one for each year of your life. Today is your 24th birthday, after all."

Jungkook took the bag, her small hands fumbling with the wrapping. She peeked inside and gasped softly as she pulled out a beautiful summer dress. The fabric was soft and flowing, a lovely shade of pastel lime. Then, Jungkook noticed a small box.

Jungkook reached for the box and opened it to reveal a stunning collection of jewellery. Inside were pieces that sparkle with a light of their own. A delicate necklace, matching earrings and a dainty bracelet complemented the necklace perfectly.

Her eyes widened as she carefully lifted each piece from the box. The jewellery was stunning, with its designs that made them look like little works of art. Jungkook's hands trembled slightly as she held the necklace up to the light, her eyes reflecting the glint of the gems.

The Jewellery

"Taehyung, they're so beautiful," Jungkook said, her voice heavy with emotions. She looked up at him, her eyes shining with tears of joy.

"I don't know what to say. They're perfect."

Jungkook's breath caught in her throat, her eyes brimming with tears of joy. She lifted the dress and jewellery to her chest, holding them close. Her cheeks flushed a soft pink as she looked up at Taehyung.

Taehyung's eyes softened as he watched her reaction, his heart swelling with love. He reached out and gently cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs brushing away the tears that had begun to form in her eyes.

"I'm glad you like it. You deserve everything beautiful, Jungkook."

Jungkook smiled through her tears, leaning into his touch. She reached up to kiss his palm softly, her fingers clutching his hand.

"Thank you so much," Jungkook said, "This means so much to me."

Taehyung's smile widened as he pulled her into his embrace, his arms wrapping around her in a tender hug.

"It's just the beginning," he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. "There are more surprises to come."

Jungkook snuggled closer to him, her head resting against his chest. The rise and fall of his breath was soothing, it made her feel safe and cherished. Taehyung's arms tightened around her just a little, holding her close. Jungkook's eyes closed as she enjoyed their moment.

The mini-celebration came to an end and both Taehyung and Jungkook went to get ready for the day. Taehyung's body was filled with excitement he couldn't wait to see Jungkook in the dress he had carefully picked out.

The eager husband went to the other bathroom and hurriedly got ready. Taehyung came back, brushing his hands in his wet hair. He couldn't sit still, couldn't calm the butterflies in his stomach as he waited.

Glancing at the clock, Taehyung's eyes kept darting back to the door, his mind racing with thoughts of how beautiful Jungkook would look.

Would the dress fit her perfectly? what if it didn't fit?  what if it got tight or lost?

The wait felt like an eternity. Every second seemed to stretch out, and Taehyung found himself leaning against the wall, biting his lip in anticipation. He grinned to himself, thinking of her reaction when she finally stepped out, imagining the way her eyes would sparkle and how her smile would light up the room.

Just as he was about to check the time again, the door creaked open. Taehyung's breath hitched, his eyes instantly drawn to the soft figure emerging from behind the door.

Jungkook, still slightly damp from her shower, stepped into the room. Her wet hair clung to her shoulders, and the lime dress draped around her most perfectly, highlighting her hourglass body.

Her skin glowed with a rosy hue due to the warmth of the shower, and the dampness of her hair only added to the fragile beauty she radiated. Drops of water slid down her collarbone, and she brushed them away with the back of her hand.

Jungkook glanced up, her eyes meeting Taehyung's. Her gaze was soft and the faintest blush dusted her cheeks as she caught his stare.

Taehyung's heart swelled at the sight of her—how could Jungkook be so effortlessly beautiful, so soft, like a morning breeze?
He blinked, trying to process the effect she was having on him, but it was too late—he was already lost.

"Oh no," Taehyung muttered, dramatically placing a hand over his chest. "I've been hit..."

Jungkook stopped a confused expression adorning her face as she watched Taehyung's dramatic reaction.

"What are you doing?" Jungkook asked with a soft chuckle, her eyes twinkling.

Taehyung moved backwards, his hand still clutching his chest as if in pain.

"You've done it, Jungkook," he said in a serious tone, his eyes wide as if he were in some grand drama. "You've shot me right in the heart... with your beauty."

Jungkook's laughter rang out in the room as she watched him stumble dramatically toward the bed.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook exclaimed, biting her lip to keep from laughing too loudly. But he wasn't done.

In one final act of the drama, Taehyung threw himself onto the bed, his arms splayed out dramatically, his eyes squeezed shut.

"It's too much! I've been defeated by the most beautiful sight in the world," Taehyung declared, "I'm done for."

Jungkook stood there, giggling uncontrollably as she watched her husband roll over on the bed, still acting like he had been "shot." She walked over to him, shaking her head as she leaned down, placing her hand on his arm.

"Really, Tae?"

Taehyung cracked one eye open, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

"What? It's the truth," he said with a wink, reaching up to gently pull her down beside him. "You've completely disarmed me, Jungkook. There's no coming back from this."

Jungkook blushed at his words, but she couldn't stop smiling. "You're so dramatic."

Taehyung pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her as he whispered, "Only for you, my love." He kissed her softly on the forehead. "You really are too beautiful for me to handle."

Jungkook buried her face in his chest, still laughing at his antics, but her heart was full of warmth.

Taehyung got up from the bed. He extended his hand to Jungkook, his eyes sparkling with mischief and affection.

"Come, my queen," he said, "let this humble peasant serve you."

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at her lips as she placed her hand in his.

"A peasant, huh?"

Taehyung chuckled as he gently guided her toward the vanity.

"Yes, a mere servant to your beauty," he said dramatically, bowing his head slightly as he helped her sit in front of the mirror. "I'm honoured to be in your presence, Your Majesty."

Jungkook giggled softly as she sat down, her gaze meeting his in the reflection. Her damp hair fell loosely around her face and she blinked shyly, the soft moring lighting making her skin glow. Taehyung's playful aura softened as he looked at her, his fingers brushing lightly against her shoulders as he spoke with a smile.

"I'm serious, you know. You're breathtaking."

Jungkook's cheeks flushed a delicate pink, and she bit her lip to hide her smile.

"You really know how to make me feel special," she whispered.

Taehyung placed his hands on her shoulders, gently massaging them for a moment before leaning down to whisper in her ear, "Because you are special. Now, let's get you ready."

With a soft laugh, Taehyung moved behind her, grabbing the comb from the vanity table he carefully began brushing through her hair, the bristles gliding smoothly with each stroke. He worked with focus, occasionally stealing glances at her through the mirror, his smile never fading.

"There," Taehyung murmured after a while, setting the brush aside. "Perfect."

Jungkook looked at herself in the mirror, her damp hair now smooth, the soft curls framing her face. She felt a flutter in her chest at the sight of Taehyung's care reflected in her appearance.

Taehyung leaned down, resting his chin on her shoulder, their reflections perfectly aligned. "How did I do, my queen?" he teased, eyes sparkling with pride.

Jungkook laughed softly, her hand reaching up to gently cup his cheek.

"You've done wonderfully, my peasant," she teased back, her voice soft with affection.

Taehyung smiled, his hand slipping around her waist as he whispered, "Oh! I'm blessed by the praise."

Taehyung smiled as he gently picked up a delicate set of jewellery from the table—a necklace adorned with shimmering crystals and matching earrings.

Carefully, Taehyung placed the necklace around her neck, his fingers brushing against her skin as he fastened the clasp. His touch was gentle as if he were handling something fragile and precious. But it was true-- Jungkook was most precious to him. The cool metal of the necklace sent a shiver down Jungkook's spine.

"There," he said, stepping back to admire his work, his smile widening as the necklace sat perfectly on her collarbone, catching the light just right.

"Perfect."

After he was done with the jewellery, Taehyung turned to the small box of makeup sitting on the vanity. He chuckled softly. "I'm not the best at this, but I'll try," he said, glancing at Jungkook.

Jungkook giggled, her cheeks flushing slightly. "You're doing great."

Taehyung carefully picked up a soft brush, dipping it into the light blush. He swept it delicately across her cheeks, the pink hue adding a soft glow to her already radiant face. His fingers worked as he applied a subtle touch of eyeshadow, enhancing her natural beauty.

Jungkook smiled, her heart swelling at the effort Taehyung was putting into making her feel special.

"One more thing," Taehyung said, grabbing a small bottle of perfume from the vanity. He spritzed it gently into the air around her, the sweet floral scent enveloping her, mixing with the soft atmosphere they had created together.

Taehyung's fingers gently held the soft straps of Jungkook's dress. he looped one strap over the other, forming a perfect bow at the small of her back. The satin shimmered under the soft light, and the fabric tightened just enough to keep her dress secure, and not lose the elegance of the dress.

"There," he whispered, pulling the bow snug and perfect. He stepped back once more, taking her in, his gaze filled with admiration and pride. "Absolutely stunning."

Jungkook glanced at herself in the mirror, her heart fluttering at the sight. The dress fit perfectly, highlighting her figure, and the soft touches of jewellery, makeup, and perfume made her feel as though she were glowing.

Taehyung, his hands resting gently on her waist, leaned in and kissed her forehead. "You're beautiful, Jungkook," he whispered. "And I'm so lucky to be yours."

With a soft smile, Taehyung knelt down and sat on his knees. His hands made his standing wifey sit on the chair by gripping jungkook's sides. He gently lifted Jungkook's foot and placed it on his thigh. Jungkook blinked in surprise, her cheeks flushing softly at his care.

"Allow me, my queen," Taehyung said, his voice playful but filled with affection.

Jungkook's heart swelled at his words, and she watched as Taehyung carefully slipped her foot into the delicate sandal, his fingers brushing lightly against her skin as he adjusted the strap to make sure it was secure.

After fastening the first sandal, he moved to the other foot, repeating the process with the same level of care and attention. Jungkook couldn't help but smile down at him, feeling like the most cherished person in the whole universe.

Once he finished, Taehyung looked up at her, still kneeling.

"There you go. Perfect from head to toe," he said, his deep voice filled with pride.

Jungkook chuckled softly, her fingers reaching down to gently caress his cheek. "You didn't have to go this far..."

Taehyung stood up slowly, his hands resting on her hips as he looked into her eyes with all the love he could muster.

"But I wanted to," he said softly, his voice full of sincerity. "Every moment with you deserves this kind of care."

He leaned in and kissed her gently, sealing the perfect moment between them. Their lips met in a soft kiss, delicate and full of unspoken emotion. It wasn't hurried or passionate, but gentle and sweet—an expression of love that needed no words. The kiss felt like a whisper, a promise, the kind of kiss that made time stand still.

Jungkook's hands slid up to rest on his chest, her fingers curling slightly into the fabric of his shirt. She melted into him, feeling his heart beneath her palm.

When they finally parted, their foreheads remained pressed together, their breaths mingling as they smiled softly at each other.

Jungkook's dress

Jungkook twirled gently, the soft fabric of her dress swirling around her legs as she let out a light, melodic giggle. Her eyes sparkled with innocent joy and her rosy cheeks gave her an ethereal beauty. The bow Taehyung had tied fluttered with her movements, making her appear as if she were dancing in a dream.

With a soft smile, she looked up at Taehyung, "You made me feel like a princess."

Taehyung's breath caught in his throat as he watched her, completely mesmerised by the way she moved and how her joy seemed to radiate from within. Her innocence and beauty were overwhelming, and for a moment, he simply stood there, his heart swelling with something deeper than admiration.

At that moment, he couldn't help but awe at how someone so pure and beautiful was his, her soft innocence grounding his strong, dominant presence.

Taehyung's eyes twinkled as he gently pulled Jungkook closer, his arms wrapping around her waist. He leaned in, his lips brushing the shell of her ear as he whispered.

"Nope, not a princess... my queen."

His voice was like velvet, full of adoration and warmth. He pulled back just enough to look into her eyes, his gaze tender as he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"A queen who deserves the world," he murmured, his hand resting lightly on her cheek. "And I'll spend every moment making sure you feel that way."

Jungkook's heart fluttered at his words, her cheeks warming as her fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt. "Taehyung..." she whispered, overwhelmed by the love in his eyes.

Taehyung smiled, his thumb lightly brushing across her cheek as he leaned in, pressing the softest kiss to her forehead.

"My queen," he repeated softly as if the words were a promise, each syllable laced with devotion.

After getting ready, both Jungkook and Taehyung descended the stairs, their fingers intertwined. As they reached the base of the staircase, Taehyung paused and gently squeezed her hand.

"Wait here for a moment," he said.

Jungkook blinked in confusion, her wide eyes looking up at him.

Taehyung smiled at her before stepping ahead, leaving Jungkook standing by the staircase. She watched as Taehyung moved further into the living room.

Taehyung caught the eyes of the family members who had all been waiting quietly. With a subtle gesture from him, everyone began to take their positions. Hana, Jimin, and Lisa stood on one side, ready with plates of delicate flower petals and party poppers hidden behind their backs. On the other side, the elder Kim couple nodded in understanding, holding their plates of flowers, smiles tugging at their lips as they exchanged glances.

Taehyung turned back to Jungkook, excitement twinkling in his eyes as he strode towards her again. He took her hands into his.

Together, they took a step forward, and as soon as they crossed the threshold into the living room, the space erupted in a shower of flower petals. Colourful party poppers burst with pops, releasing confetti that rained down.

"Surprise!" everyone yelled in unison, their faces lit up with joy as they cheered for Jungkook.

Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise as she looked around the room. She felt the soft petals landing on her hair and shoulders, her heart swelling with warmth and happiness.

"Oh my..." Jungkook whispered, her hand flying to her mouth as her gaze swept across the room—her family, her friends, all smiling and celebrating her in this beautiful moment.

Hana, Jimin, and Lisa rushed forward, enveloping her in a group hug, and showering Jungkook with more petals and laughter.

"You look so beautiful, Jungkook!" Hana said, grinning.

"I can't believe you didn't see this coming," Jimin teased.

"We've been planning for weeks," Lisa added, giving her a playful nudge.

Jungkook laughed, feeling completely overwhelmed in the best possible way.

I didn't!" she admitted, her eyes sparkling with joy.

The elder Kim couple came forward next, Mrs. Kim handing her a small bouquet of freshly picked white flowers. "Happy birthday, dear,"

Mr. Kim chuckled softly, "It's a special day for our special baby."

Jungkook took the flowers, "Thank you so much,"

Jungkook looked up at Taehyung, who was smiling widely, her heart brimming with love for the man who had planned all of this just for her.

Everyone treated Jungkook like a queen, showering her with love and attention. At the breakfast table, Jungkook couldn't help but smile, feeling a bit bashful from all the doting attention.

Taehyung placed a plate in front of her. "Here," he said with a proud grin, "I made this for you."

The plate held a beautifully arranged sandwich, crafted by his own hands. There were other delicious items spread across the table—fresh fruit, pancakes, and pastries—but it was the sandwich that stood out, a symbol of his care and effort.

Jungkook blinked, pleasantly surprised. "You made this?" she asked softly, her wide eyes glancing up at him.

Taehyung chuckled and nodded. "I did. Took me a few tries to get it just right, but it's made with love," he teased, leaning down to press a soft kiss to the top of her head.

Jungkook's cheeks flushed a delicate pink as she stared at the sandwich, "Thank you," she whispered, her fingers gently resting on the plate.

Hana raised an eyebrow with a grin. "Brother making breakfast? That's a rare sight," she teased, making everyone at the table chuckle.

Mrs Kim joined in the teasing, "It seems he's pulling out all the stops today."

Before Taehyung could respond, Jimin jumped in with an exaggerated wave of his hand.

"No, no," he chirped, grinning widely. "Our Dr. Kim aka head captain here has been pulling out all the stops since high school. Ever since he got a glimpse of his wifey," he teased, adding a mischievous emphasis on "wifey."

Jungkook's face immediately flushed a delicate pink, and she swatted Jimin lightly. "Jimin!" she squeaked, clearly flustered but unable to hide the smile tugging at her lips. Her eyes darted to Taehyung, who was smirking proudly, clearly enjoying the teasing and Jungkook's reaction.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow and stretched his arms, leaning casually against Jungkook and wrapping his arms around her shoulder.

"What can I say? I've always known what I wanted," he said smoothly, his gaze flicking to Jungkook with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "And I'm not one to hold back when it comes to getting it."

Jungkook's blush deepened as she buried her face in her hands, her heart racing at Taehyung's bold words. The whole table burst into laughter at her adorable reaction, and Mrs Kim shook her head with an affectionate smile.

"Well, I'm just glad you finally made Jungkook yours," Mrs Kim teased, winking at her son.

As the laughter died down, Taehyung turned back to the plate. he picked the table knife and carefully cut the sandwich in half, before turning to Jungkook.

"Here," he said, nudging the plate toward her.

Jungkook picked up the sandwich, taking a small bite. Her eyes widened in surprise as the flavours hit her taste buds, and she smiled brightly, the innocence in her expression only making her more endearing.

"Wow! It's really good!" she exclaimed.

Taehyung's eyes glimmered with satisfaction as he watched her enjoy his effort. "I told you. I don't do things halfway when it comes to you."

Jungkook looked down at her plate, trying to hide the happy smile spreading on her face, while everyone else at the table exchanged knowing glances.

As the afternoon sun dipped towards the horizon, Taehyung and Jungkook prepared for a ride to the Jeon household. It was jungkook's wish to spend time with her parents. and who was taehyung to deny Jungkook's wish.

Taehyung mounted the bike first. He extended a hand to Jungkook, helping her onto the back seat. Jungkook's hands instinctively wrapped around his waist.

"All set?" Taehyung asked softly. He glanced over his shoulder.

Jungkook nodded, her chin resting gently against his back. "All set,"

Taehyung started the engine, the motorcycle's gentle rumble blending with the sounds of the city. The ride was smooth, the cool breeze against their faces.

The cityscape passed by in a blur of soft colours and sounds As they approached their destination, Taehyung slowed the bike.

He stopped outside the Jeon household, the motorcycle coming to a halt. Taehyung turned to Jungkook.

"We're here," he said,

Taehyung helped her off the bike and they walked towards the front door.

Jungkook's parents, Jeon Haeroon and Soomin, welcomed them with open arms. Haeroon smiled as he greeted Taehyung. Soomin immediately embraced Jungkook, her eyes filled with happy tears.

"Welcome, Taehyung," Haeroon said, extending a hand.

Taehyung shook Haeroon's hand firmly, his respectful nod showing his appreciation.

Soomin looked at Jungkook with a loving gaze. "Oh, my dear Jungkook, you look absolutely radiant. I'm so happy you brought Taehyung here."

Jungkook blushed at her mother's compliment. "Thank you, Mom. I wanted to share this special day with you both. It means so much to me."

The evening was filled with laughter, conversation, and joy. Taehyung was engaged in conversations with Jungkook's parents, showing his genuine respect for them. He was attentive and considerate, making sure to compliment Soomin on the delicious food she prepared and expressing his gratitude for the warm hospitality.

Jungkook's heart swelled with emotion as she looked around at the people she loved most. The evening had been everything she had hoped for—a beautiful blend of family, love, and celebration.

Taehyung and Jungkook said their goodbyes, they left the Jeon household.

That evening, the excitement in the Kim household was high. Jungkook had been looking forward to the birthday party Taehyung had planned, and now, as the sun set, she prepared for the special occasion.

Jungkook admired herself in the dress Taehyung had chosen for her—a beautiful teal gown that hugged her figure gracefully.

Jungkook's hair was styled into soft, loose waves that framed her face, and her makeup was subtle, highlighting her features perfectly. She touched up her lip gloss and adjusted the small, sparkling earrings.

Jungkook took a deep breath, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She moved towards the door, her dress swaying with each step.

As she reached the entrance, Taehyung was there, waiting for her. The moment his eyes landed on her, they lit up with admiration. He, too, was dressed in teal, the same deep hue that perfectly complemented her gown. His suit was sharp, with subtle details that made him look as elegant as ever, but it was his gaze was full of love and pride, that made her heart flutter.

"Wow..." Taehyung whispered, his eyes never leaving her. "You look... breathtaking."

Jungkook's cheeks flushed, and she gave a shy smile, stepping closer. "We're matching," she said softly,

Taehyung smiled gently, reaching out to take her hand in his.

Taehyung offered her his arm, and together they made their way to the party. The house was filled with guests, and the sounds of laughter and conversation filled the otherwise space.

Jungkook and Taehyung were greeted warmly by the guests. The living room was adorned with elegant decorations—soft fairy lights, floral arrangements, and a grand table set with a grand feast.

Elder Kim and Mrs. Kim stood at the heart of the festivities, their faces beaming with pride and happiness. Hana, Jimin, and Lisa were mingling with the other guests.

Jungkook was the centre of attention. Her presence lit up the room, and her smile was matched by the twinkle in her eyes. Taehyung stood by by her side, his hand gently resting on her back.

As the evening progressed, the time for the cake-cutting arrived. Taehyung guided Jungkook to the beautifully decorated cake table, where a stunning multi-tiered cake awaited them.

Taehyung took Jungkook's hand, leading her to the centre of the room where everyone had gathered.

"Are you ready for this, my queen?" Taehyung asked, his eyes sparkling with affection.

Jungkook smiled, her cheeks flushed with happiness. "I'm ready," she replied softly.

Taehyung handed Jungkook a small knife, and together they approached the cake. With Taehyung standing by her side, Jungkook cut the first slice. The guests erupted into applause, their claps echoing in the warm room.

Jimin chimed in. "Here's to Jungkook and Taehyung! May your life be as sweet and delightful as this cake!"

Hana and Lisa clapped, their smiles wide. "Happy birthday, Jungkook! You look absolutely stunning tonight."

Jungkook beamed, "Thank you all so much. This evening has been truly magical."

Taehyung took the first piece of cake and fed it to Jungkook, his eyes never leaving hers. "Happy birthday, Jungkook. You mean the world to me," he said softly.

Jungkook took a bite of the cake, "It's delicious, Taehyung. Thank you for making this day so special."

Jungkook held out a piece of cake to Taehyung. Taehyung accepted the piece, taking a bite and savouring the taste.

"Delicious indeed," he agreed, his eyes crinkling with joy.

The guests continued to celebrate, enjoying the cake and the lively atmosphere. Elder Kim and Mrs. Kim talked with the guests, their pride in their family evident. Hana, Jimin, and Lisa shared stories and laughter.

Taehyung gently wrapped a soft silk cloth around Jungkook's eyes. The fabric was cool and smooth against her skin, heightening her excitement.

"Where are we going?" Jungkook asked, her voice filled with curiosity and excitement.

Taehyung's reply was a teasing whisper. "You'll see in just a moment."

He led her carefully. Jungkook could hear the crunch of gravel underfoot and the sounds of crickets.

When they reached their destination, Taehyung paused for a moment, his heart racing with excitement. He turned to Jungkook, his smile wide and his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Are you ready?" he asked softly.

Jungkook nodded, her heart fluttering in her chest. "I'm ready."

With a gentle touch, Taehyung lifted the silk cloth from her eyes. As the fabric fell away, Jungkook blinked a few times, adjusting to the sudden brightness. When her vision cleared, she gasped in surprise.

In front of her stood a sleek black Hyundai SUV, its polished exterior gleaming under the evening light. The car looked magnificent.

Jungkook gasped softly when a piece of memory stuck her.

Flashback:

Rain tapped gently against the windowpane, creating a soothing rhythm that filled the room.

Jungkook was curled up in her bed, her phone pressed to her ear, a trace of shyness in her voice as she spoke to Taehyung, who was abroad.

Jungkook's fingers fidgeted with her soft blanket, her gaze wandering to the window where raindrops slid down in delicate trails. She took a deep breath, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I've always dreamed of driving a Hyundai SUV," Jungkook said softly, shy to talk to her crush who was seven seas away from her.

Her thumb nervously traced patterns on the blanket as she spoke, a small smile playing on her lips.

Taehyung's voice came through the phone.

"Oh? What makes you like that car so much?" he asked, his tone gentle and attentive, as if he was enjoying every word she said.

Jungkook's cheeks flushed a delicate pink as she continued, her fingers nervously playing with a strand of hair that had fallen loose.

"I don't know, really. I guess it just seems... elegant, you know? And spacious. I imagine it would feel nice to drive around in, feeling the breeze and all."

She twirled a loose strand of hair around her finger, her eyes drifting to the rain outside.

Taehyung's soft chuckle came through the phone, a soothing sound that seemed to bridge the distance between them. "That sounds wonderful, Jungkook. It's a nice dream. I bet you'd look amazing driving it."

Jungkook's heart fluttered at his words, her gaze dropping to her lap. She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, her fingers still gently fidgeting with the blanket.

"Do you really think so? It's just a silly dream, really."

"It's not silly at all," Taehyung said. "Dreams are important, even the small ones."

Present

Jimin, Hana, and Lisa, who had been waiting in the shadows, erupted in cheers as they popped party poppers, showering the area with a cascade of colourful confetti.

Jungkook's eyes brimmed with tears as she took in the sight before her. The car was more than just a gift; it was a symbol of Taehyung's love and thoughtfulness. The tears that welled up in her eyes were not just from the surprise but from a flood of cherished memories that came rushing back.

Jungkook's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she stood beside the sleek SUV, her gaze softening as memories flooded her heart. It felt surreal, a bittersweet reminder of how far they had come together, and how much had changed. Her fingers gently brushed the car's polished surface, trying to grasp the reality of the life she was living—one she had once only dreamed of.

A single tear, heavy with emotion, slipped down her cheek. Before it could fall and shatter on the ground, a familiar warmth caught it. Taehyung had placed his hand beneath her face, letting the crystal drop land on his palm instead.

"Hey," Taehyung whispered, his voice laced with tenderness. "Why the tears, love?"

Jungkook blinked, startled out of her thoughts, and looked up at him, her lips quivering slightly as she tried to find the words.

"I don't know... it's just... everything feels like a dream sometimes," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm scared it might slip away."

Taehyung's heart clenched at the vulnerability in her voice. He gently cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing away the moisture that clung to her lashes.

"It's not a dream, Jungkook. It's real, and I'm right here with you. Always."

His words calmed her swirling emotions. Jungkook closed her eyes, leaning into his touch, feeling the strength he offered.

"Promise?" she whispered, her voice trembling slightly, as though she needed to hear it one more time.

Taehyung smiled, leaning down to kiss the top of her head. "Promise. You're my forever, Jungkook. I'll catch every tear, every fear, before it ever hits the ground."

His gentle words enveloped her like a soft blanket, and Jungkook, feeling the warmth of his love wrap around her heart, nodded slowly. Her tears dried up, replaced with a smile of quiet gratitude as she rested her forehead against his chest.

Taehyung watched her with a soft smile and gently took her hand in his.

"I remember every word you said," he murmured, his voice tender. "I wanted to make your dream come true, just like you've always been a dream come true for me."

Jungkook's heart swelled with love. She reached up, placing a gentle kiss on Taehyung's cheek. "Thank you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "For everything."

Taehyung's eyes softened as he pulled her into a warm embrace. "You deserve all the happiness in the world," he whispered against her ear. "And I'll always be here to give it to you."

The moment was a beautiful reflection of their journey—a dream shared, a dream fulfilled, and a love that had grown from soft, hesitant beginnings to a deep, abiding connection.

After a mini-crying session,

Jungkook stood beside the black Hyundai SUV, her eyes wide with admiration. The car's polished exterior gleamed under the soft lights and its elegance captivated her completely. She reached out, her fingers brushing against the smooth surface, feeling the coolness of the metal beneath her touch.

She moved around the SUV, admiring it from every angle. Each detail, from the polished rims to the elegant lines of the car, seemed to enhance her excitement. Jungkook paused at the rear, her eyes taking in the car's spacious trunk and sleek design.

"I used to dream about this," she said softly, her voice full of emotion. "I never thought it would actually come true."

Taehyung stepped closer, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "You deserve it, Jungkook. You've worked so hard, and you bring so much light into my life."

"Thank you," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "For making my dream come true."

Taehyung smiled, his eyes reflecting the depth of his feelings for her. "It's only the beginning, Jungkook. There are so many more dreams and adventures ahead of us."

Jungkook's heart swelled with happiness as she continued to admire the car, feeling the warmth of Taehyung's love surrounding her. The evening had turned into a beautiful celebration of their shared dreams and the love that had brought them to this moment.

Dear Diary,

Today was one of the most magical days of my life, a day I will treasure forever.

The morning started with such warmth and tenderness. Taehyung's birthday surprise for me was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. His gestures and the way he made me feel like the most special person in the world were simply perfect.

I woke up to his soft, loving kiss on my forehead, a gentle reminder of how lucky I am to have him by my side. The way he looked at me with such adoration made my heart flutter. It's moments like these that make me fall in love with him even more. He truly knows how to make me feel cherished and loved.

Later, he surprised me with a beautiful dress and matching jewellery. The way he carefully helped me get ready made me feel like a princess-- oops queen.

The day continued with so much joy. We spent time with the Kims and our dear friends, Hana, Jimin, and Lisa. The celebration was filled with laughter, love, and so many sweet moments. The cake cutting was such a highlight, surrounded by the people who matter most to us.

But the most breathtaking moment came when Taehyung revealed the surprise he had been keeping from me. As he led me outside, with my eyes covered. When I finally opened my eyes and saw the sleek black Hyundai SUV, I was overwhelmed with emotion. I couldn't believe it was real. I remembered mentioning my dream car so long ago, and now, here it was.

Taehyung had made that dream come true.

As I stood there, admiring the car, I couldn't help but recall a conversation we had years ago when we were just getting to know each other. I had mentioned how much I wished for a Hyundai SUV someday. I never thought it would happen, and yet here I am, living that dream.

Taehyung's loving words and the way he looked at me as I admired the car made the moment even more special. He is always so thoughtful and caring, and his love for me shines through in everything he does. I'm grateful for every moment we share and for the beautiful life, we are building together.

Today was a day filled with love, surprises, and dreams coming true. I am so lucky to have Taehyung in my life, and I look forward to many more beautiful moments with him.

Koo~

Jungkook closed her diary with a satisfied sigh, feeling contentment. She looked over at Taehyung, who was reading a book on the bed, his eyes engrossed in the pages. A soft smile spread across her face as she set the diary aside.

With gentle grace, Jungkook approached the bed and nestled against Taehyung's side. He looked up from his book, his eyes softening as he took in the sight of her.

Without a word, Jungkook wrapped her arms around him, resting her head on his chest. The beating of his heart beneath her cheek was soothing. She sighed contentedly, her fingers lightly tracing patterns on his shirt.

In a soft whisper, barely audible, she murmured, "I won in life."

Taehyung's gaze met hers, a warm smile curling at the corners of his lips. He set his book aside and pulled her closer, his voice low and tender. "You did, my love. And I'm the luckiest man alive to have you by my side."

He brushed a strand of hair away from her face gently. "Every day with you feels like a dream come true. You make everything better, just by being you."

Jungkook looked up at him, "I never imagined life could be this perfect."

Taehyung's smile widened, "Neither did I until I met you. You're my everything, Jungkook. My heart, my soul, my forever."

Jungkook snuggled closer to him, feeling utterly cherished and secure. In that intimate moment, with Taehyung's arms wrapped around her and his loving words echoing in her heart, she knew that she had truly found her place in his world.
