When I crossed the street I seen Dug, the boy that was in the hall yesterday. "Dug" I asked surprised. "Yes my love. Will you be my Valentine" he asked handing me the white rose. "No I'm sorry" I said as I walked in.

            That was just the first of many, every boy at the dance crowded around me. I finally spotted Eric and I seen him acting mean to his girlfriend Lara (one of the cheerleaders ). I would not say she deserved what she got from him. She is actually really nice to me, so I ran right over to him.

         "Eric I don't love you" I said to his face. Then I noticed he was acting weirder today. He was scratching his ear a lot and has his tough out panting. I grabbed the potion I used on Eric out if my purse. It said 'Puppy love. Only use on animals'.

            "Puppy love. Really" I cried out loud. "Really what" Lana asked crying a little. "Oh Lana I'm so sorry"I apologized. "It's ok he probably just likes you more" she said sadly. "No he loves you he's just.. Sick". "Sick? With what"Lana asked. "Um Puppy flu" I lied. "Puppy flu" she asked confused. "Ya it's a flu that makes you act like a puppy to the first person you see" I said still lying. "Ya, I think I've heard of that" she said. "It should be over by tomorrow" I said leaving.

          Let me just say I wasn't shocked when Lana believed me. She's not the brightest bulb, let me leave it at that.

         When I left Lana I needed some air so I headed up to the roof. When I got there I leaned on the ledge looking at the beautiful city below. I starred out at the city for a few minutes, when I felt a warm hand on my shoulder. I turned my head to see Johnny standing there in a tux.

         "Hey" he said. "Hey" I replied. "I thought you might be up here" he said smiling. "You did" I asked. "I seen you won't at the dance, so I thought you needed some air". "You looked for me at the dance, why" I asked. "Because of this" he said leaning down to kiss me on the lips.

             After a minute I pulled slightly away from the kiss. "Johnny" I said shocked. "When did this start. Wait is it the potions, I knew it spread to you" I said madly. "No it wasn't the potions, I've well always loved you" he said trying to kiss me again. "Johnny, how come you never told me" I asked. "I didn't know if you would like me back. And I thought if that happened we wouldn't be friends anymore".

               "Johnny trust me, no matter what we will always be friends" I said happily. "And I love you too" I said kissing him again.

              "I guess both our wishes came true" Johnny said happily. "What do you mean" I asked still happy. "Well I figured the potions were your wish. And mine was this to kiss you up here" he said smiling. "Ya I guess we did, but I didn't wish for the potions I wished for true love. And I found it". "How about we go back down to the dance and have fun" he asked taking my hand. "Let's go" I said as I dragged him down the stairs.

           We danced for hours and hours, even after the dance was over. It was the best night of my life. Plus I guess when I kissed Johnny the potion wore off. Because Eric was dancing with Lana, and all the other boys weren't asking me out.

             "Hey Helen, what are you writing" Johnny asks me (now). "Just finish my story about our crazy last few weeks". "Ok see you when you're done".

            So I leave you all with this, love is something that you shouldn't force just let it happen. And (even though it's cliché) be careful what you wish for, because it might just come true.
