Ocean's POV

So it's finally Saturday and I'm really excited about taking DJ to see Michael, I know DJ misses him and Michael misses him just as much. Janet and Randy are going to be there too. I feel really bad living next door to them and not being able to take him to see them or hang out with Randy. We got pretty close when I was living there and he became more like brother to me and not just as an in law like an actual brother and now if we see each other in the street we literally have to look away and keep walking incase any of or parents see.

When I finish getting ready I head downstairs and my mother and Sherri are sitting in the living room. "All ready to go now?" My mother asks smiling a totally obvious fake smile. "Soon...I'm gonna have a cup of coffee first. Would you like one?" I smile "sure" they both shrug.

I head into the kitchen and I do feel really bad about doing this but I make sure their not looking and slip the crushed up sleeping pills into their drinks an head back into the living room. "So where I you guys off to today?" Sherri asks smiling which just like my mothers is completely fake. I sit and talk to them for awhile, remembering what Michael told me about waiting 20 minutes. "Are you ok?" I ask my mother noticing she starting to look a little drowsy "mhm...just a little tiered" she smiles through pursed lips "me too" Sherri yawns "well I best leave you guys to it..let you guys get some rest" I smile slightly and head off to go and meet Michael.

Randy's POV

"Now don't forget..if anybody asks. Where do we say we went?" I ask Janet sternly "we went to the park and then to Chucky cheese" she smiles "that's right!" I smile back. "Because nobody can't find out where we're really going ok,"

"Can we still go Chucky cheese after?"

"Fine" I roll my eyes. And we head off to Michael's.

When we pull up outside the house I turn to Janet "now. Whatever you do DO NOT! Tell Michael what happened ok?" I tell her sternly "but Michael always told me never to keep secrets from him" she says confused "I know but if he found out what happened he'll get really upset and he'll be angry with Joseph" I explain "and if he gets mad at Joseph then he'll find out we lied about where we were going...and you know what that means?" She sighs putting her head down "we won't be allowed to come again"

Michael's POV

As soon as I open the door Janet smiles wrapping her arms around me. "Hey! Have you missed me?" I smile back pulling her in a little closer. "Mhm" she nods smiling and I can see she looks a little uncomfortable "are you ok?" She nods looking around "where's Ocean and DJ?"

"Their in the living room" i smile and she excitedly runs off and I turn to Randy "does she know?" I mumble and he looks at me confused "about..you know?..everything?" I raise my eyebrows and he gets it. "Oh, no she doesn't know anything" he shakes his head "so why did she tense up and look uncomfortable when I hugged her?"

"All she knows is that you and Joseph had a fight and your not allowed home....she probably just feels bad about having to lie about where we were going" he shrugs "I guess....so how's everything going at home?"

"Fine. I guess" he shrugs heading into the living room with me following behind.

After the slightly awkward greeting I got from Janet her mood quickly changed when she saw DJ sitting up all by himself. "When will he say my name?"

"You just gotta keep talking to him, he'll bee talking soon enough though" I smile, watching her trying to teach him "Ja-net Ja-net" he looks at her for a moment then turns to Ocean opening his arms babbling "Mm...Mm"

It's about lunchtime and I made us all something to eat. we're all sat around the table talking and eating then all of a sudden Janet burst into tears "what's wrong?" I ask softly walking over to her seat "I spilt my spaghetti on my shirt and on the floor" she sobs "it's ok" I chuckle slightly "it'll clean up. C'mon" I take her hand and walk her into my bedroom while Ocean cleans up the dishes. "Here, we'll put one of my shirts on and Wash yours so it's clean before you go" I smile getting a clean shirt from my dresser and she looks at me nervously "what's wrong?" I frown "it's t-to big" she stutters "it'll be fine until you go...c'mon lets get this off before it stains" I help lift her shirt off then look at her for a moment "what happened?" I frown seeing bruises all over her back and on her side. "I-I um...I fell down" she stutters "on somebody's fist?" I raise an eyebrow knowing full well she's lying. She's about to speak when Randy comes in "what the fuck happened to Janet!?" I snap "she fell over" he mumbles looking just as nervous as Janet "who hit you?" I turn and ask Janet softly "it um... It was a kid at school, she's been picking on me" she mumbles. "Have you told your teacher?" She nods and I quickly put my shirt on her "ok, well you go play with DJ while I get this clean" I smile at her picking up her shirt. I know full well a kid didn't do that to her even the without the worried look Randy gave me, I already knew exactly who it was.

Ocean's POV

After lunch Michael seems really annoyed about something but because Randy and Janet were here I decided to wait until they left.

"Is everything ok?" I ask while he's helping me get DJ ready to go home. "I gotta call from work. They asked if I could cover for someone"

"So I won't be able to stay tonight?" I say disappointedly "yeah, of course you can"!" he smiles "I only have to stay a- few extra hours that's all"

When I get home my mother seems in a really happy mood. "Good day?" I smile "mhm, I've missed you though" she coos at DJ taking him from me "so what time are you going to Sarah's?"

"I'm gonna go a little later. Her mom asked her to run some errands" I lie "since I'm not going till late can I bathe DJ and get him ready for bed?" She shakes her head "it'll just mess his routine up more than it already has today. Best if I do it" she smiles and I fake a smile back at her and head upstairs to take a shower

After my shower and I get changed and start putting somethings in an overnight bag while listening to my music. Even though I have headphones in and the volume is on full, I hear shouting from outside but ignore it assuming it's just the neighbours arguing or something. But as I'm walking downstairs to leave someone starts hysterically banging on our front door.

"OH MY GOD!!" I hear my mother sheik as she answers the door to Katherine and Joseph. Who is covered in blood. "Please...he's just been attacked!" Katharine says shakily and my father and Sherri quickly begin giving him first aid.

Once Joseph is ok and my father gives him a ride to the hospital to get checked out I head over to Michael's

"Did they say who it was?" Michael mumbles when I tell him "he didn't see them...he said someone grabbed him from behind when he got out of the car"

"So he was mugged?" I frown shaking my head "he said they didn't take anything"

"Maybe they disturbed by a noise or a passerby or something" Michael suggest "are you ok?"

"Mhm" he smiles through pursed lips "if your dad treated him and took him to get checked over then I guess he's ok" he shrugs. He seems a little off but I think it's because he doesn't want to admit that he's upset. I know Michael and his family aren't on the best of terms right now but he does still care about them.

"Anyway!" He smiles "we got a house and a whole night to ourselves. Let's just try and forget about everything tonight" he smiles and kisses me softly.

We hang out downstairs for awhile then Michael decides to call for takeout. While he's on the phone I head upstairs to change into some PJ. While I'm getting changed I see something sticking out from under the bed, I kneel down and see a bag with some clothes in it. It was the clothes Michael was wearing earlier and a hoodie and they were all had blood on them.

I stay frozen on the floor for a moment just staring at them. "Ocean!" I hear Michael shout heading upstairs snapping me from my thoughts. I quickly put the stuff back in the bag and shove it back under the bed and stand up "I'm in here!" I yell back and he comes in smiling then looks at me worriedly "are you ok? You look a little pale?"

"mhm, I'm just needs some water" I smile through pursed lips and start making my way out of the room with Michael following behind me.
