Ocean's POV

So today is 'the big day!' And I have mixed feelings about it. I'm happy that I'm getting married to the man I love and the father of my child but I just wish things could have been different. This is supposed to be the happiest day of my life and parents aren't even here to share it with me. The marriage wont exactly be legal but it's still a marriage. Michael and I agreed that as soon as I turn 18 we're going to do it properly so for now we'll just have to settle with this. I haven't told Michael how I feel about my parents not being here, he's been so excited about us getting married and what's even better news is that the doctors have told us that DJs getting stronger by the day which means we'll finally be able to hold him soon.

Michael got to the hospital first thing with his mother. We're still waiting for Jackie's friend who's going to be marrying us and of course the rest of his family. everybody seems really excited about today except Katherine who's still pretty distant with me, I understand that she's still not happy with all of this but it's happened Michael and I have a son together and we're getting married.

When Jackie's friend finally gets here Michael steps outside to call his father to find out how long their gonna be leaving me alone with Katherine. "So, it's a big day today" she mumbles "mhm" is smile "are you sure you want to do this today?" I look at her confused "because if you'd rather wait everybody will understand including Michael" I shake my head at "why would I want to wait?" She sighs looking down "it just seems like the two of you have been rushed into so much already in such a small space of time. People would understand if you feel a little under pressure and want to cancel"

"I don't feel pressured and Michael's been excited about us getting married since before DJ was born. I'm not gonna just cancel on him" she shakes her head and sighs "I'm just suggesting maybe the two of you wait a few months...or even a year" I'm about to speak when Michael walks back in with Jackie, Joseph, LaToya, Randy and Jackie's friend Jason who will be marrying us. "Look who I found! He smiles"

While Michael and I were getting married I looked over and could see how annoyed Katherine looked and barely looked at us.

Michael still seems excited even after we said our I dos. "Can you believe we're finally married?" He smiles hugging me tightly and I smile back at him with the same excitement. "congratulation" Katherine mumbles and we both smile at her, ignoring the obvious pissed off tone. While everybody's talking amongst themselves Joseph asks Michael to come outside so they can talk. I turn smiling at DJ and Katherine walks over to me "you have no idea what you've just done!" She hisses quietly at me so nobody hears. I turn to her confused and I'm about to say something when Michael and Joseph come back "everything ok?" Michael asks seeing the look on my face "mhm, everything great" Katherine fakes a smile at him. "Well we best be leaving the two of you to it" she mutters getting ready to leave "I guess it's time for them to consummate" Randy chuckles winking over at us "Randy!" LaToya snaps at him hitting him lightly on the arm "there's a child present. watch your mouth!" He rolls his eyes "it's not like they haven't done it before" he chuckles to himself while Michael and I look on feeling slightly embarrassed.

Michael's POV

Ocean and I are cuddling on the bed and she seems really quiet. "Did my mother say something to you?" I ask sitting up.she's been like this every since Joseph took me out of the room so he could give me another one of his little pep talks about responsibilities. she shakes her head sitting up next to me "no, it's not that" she mumbles "then what? Aren't you happy about us getting married?"

"What! No of course I'm happy, it's just..." She pauses for a moment and sighs "I'm sorry we can't...you know" she mumbles blushing slightly. "Baby, don't worry about that" I smile "you've not long since given birth I'm not expecting you to anything" she smiles pursing her lips "you really don't mind?" I pull her close to me "I really don't mind" I kiss her temple and we lay back down. A few moments later my phone starts ringing "I'll be right back" I tell her leaving the room quickly to take the call.

"Hey Emma what's up?" I whisper moving away from the room so Ocean doesn't hear. "Hey, I just wanted to check you still wanna meet up on tomorrow?"

"Of course I do" I whisper looking to check Ocean hasn't come out "why are you whispering?" She asks "um, I'm actually in work right now and I'm not supposed to use my phone" I lie "oh I'm sorry, I'll see you on tomorrow"

"I can't wait! I'll call you in a little while ok? My boss is coming" I quickly hang up and head back into the room with Ocean and DJ. "Everything ok?" She smiles waiting on the bed for me. "Yeah, it was just Marlon calling to say congratulations" I lie "so why did you go outside?" She looks at me confused "Because I didn't wanna disturb this little guy" I smile looking at DJ sleeping. She's about ask me another question but I kiss her softly cutting her off. "C'mon" I smile laying back on the bed motioning her to come over.

We cuddle for awhile and start making out. (Since that's all we can do) the door knocks and a nurse comes in. "You have some visitors" she says awkwardly seeing us both laying on the bed and quickly leaves. We both get up and are surprised when we see Ocean's parents come into the room "what do you want!?" I snap "we came to see our daughter" Carson frowns at my tone of voice "I thought I wasn't your daughter" Ocean mumbles "I know we were a little harsh on you that day.."

"Ya think!" I snap cutting him off "we really are sorry for what we said" Jessica says walking closer to her "why are you here?" Ocean asks confused "because we wanted to apologise and see our grandson and to let you know you and DJ can come home with us" Jessica says softly "who told you his name?" Jessica frowns looking at me "I saw her awhile ago and told her" Ocean looks at me annoyed then turns back to her mother. "Well you've said it now" she shrugs "and DJ? We'd really like to see him and get to know him" Jessica asks "we don't even know his name just his initials" Carson steps in. Ocean turns to him and frowns "It's Duncan ok? Duncan, Joseph, Jackson and as for getting to know him? You can forget it! You had your chance to get to know him and you wanted him gone! I'd just given birth and he was fighting for his life and you two wanted me to abandon him!"

"But we.." Carson begins and she cuts him off "you turned your back and walked out on us before and now you can do it again" she coldly says turning away from them. "Michael, please let us see him" Jessica pleads "you heard what she said" I shrug. Carson goes to say something but quickly decides against it. And leaves looking at he ground with Jessica following behind him.

Ocean's POV

After my parents leave Michael comes over and sits beside me "are you ok?" He whispers pulling me close to him "do you think maybe I was to harsh on them?" I ask resting my head on his chest. "Not at all! What they did was unforgivable and you have every right not to wanna see them" his phone starts ringing and he quickly hangs it up "who was that?" I ask while he's switching his phone off completely. He puts it back in his pocket and turns to me smiling wrapping his arms around me "nobody important"
