Michael's POV

"where's the birthday girl!?" LaToya says excitedly as I invite my family in. "she's upstairs with Nevaeh" I mumble. "is she ok?" Joseph asks sensing something and I shake my head. "she just wants some time alone. She's really down at the moment" I explain and mother looks at me confused. "what's to be down about? She's 18 today! And you two can finally get married!" She smiles "we're already married" I shrug. "properly! And legally" she rolls her eyes at me. "we are legally married.. We just did it illegally. And we've already discussed it and we're gonna renew our vows once we get DJ back" I roll my eyes. Ever since Ocean and I got married at the hostpital when DJ was born. my mothers been going on about us doing it properly and Legally '. We've already told her we are and we even said that in the hospital when we first got married, but now Ocean's 18, mother is driving us crazy about it.

I'm sitting in the living room with my family discussing Neveah's christening next week, when Ocean comes downstairs with Nevaeh. She doesn't say anything or even acknowledge anybody is in the room and goes straight into the kitchen. "I'll be right back" I smile through pursed lips at my family, excusing myself.

"you feeling any better?" I ask softly going into the kitchen and Ocean is making some breakfast for Nevaeh, who's sitting in her high chair. "why can't I just have one birthday where someone I love, isn't missing?" She mumbles talking about DJ. I walk over and pull her in close to me. "baby, try not to think about it ok? It kills me too that DJ isn't here, but we need to concentrate on who is here and all the good things" I smile slightly and peck her lips. "I love you" smiles slightly and I kiss her once more "I love you more" I mutter onto her lips holding her close and Nevaeh begins blowing spit bubbles at me, opening her arms out. "and daddy loves you too!" I smile picking her up and give her a kiss making her giggle.

Ocean seems a little more cheery than she did this morning, but I can tell she's still down about not getting to see DJ. He's still in Ireland with Ocean's parents and they won't be back for another 2 months so we can't even call and ask if we could see him just for today. Not that Jessica would say yes, but it would have been worth a shot.

I'm in the kitchen fixing up some drinks for everybody when I get another text and I sigh rolling my eyes. I quickly finish making everybody's coffee and a tea for Ocean then hand them out.

Once everybody has their drinks I head upstairs to the bathroom and close the door and start dialling. "hey, baby!" Aisha answers picking up after the first ring. "quit calling and texting me!" I say sternly in a hushed tone so my family don't hear then hang up and switch my phone off.

Aisha's POV

An hour after I called Michael I hear a knocking on my door and smile recognising straight away who it is and rush over to let him in. "how many fucking times have I got to tell you!? don't call or text me! I'll come to you! I have all my family at home. What if one have them got hold of my phone?" Michael snaps storming into my apartment. "well their all gonna know after next week anyway, so what's the problem?" I shrug. "the problem is, it's Ocean's birthday's today and she's upset about not seeing DJ, my whole family are at my house and your calling me!"

"do you still love her?" I ask and he sighs "I already told you I don't, but I'm not that heartless to leave her while she's like this"

"and what about next week after your daughter christening? What if she gets upset again then, will you still be leaving her?"

"I told you I would and she'll be fine. She just gets like this on her birthdays. Why won't you trust me?" he asks visibly hurt "I do! I'm sorry, it's just my hormones" I lie and his expression softens. "how is he?" He smiles softly. "healthy" I smiles. "I wish you'd told me they changed your appointment. I really wanted to be there and see it on that little screen thing"

"I know baby, but you'll get to see him soon. I promise" I smile and he smiles back. "I'm gonna have to go, but I'll come back in a few days" he says getting ready to leave. "you don't wanna stick around for a while?"

"I do, but like I said. It's Ocean's birthday and My whole family's at my house waiting for me. We made reservations at the restaurant and I can't be late. They I just ran to the store" he explains. "you do love me don't you?" I ask and he pulls me in for a hug. "of course I do" he smiles and I lean in to kiss him and again he moves away. "not yet" he mumbles breaking away from me. "you love me, but you won't kiss me?" I shrug getting upset. "I do love you and I told you why I can't kiss you or be intimate with you. It doesn't feel right. Not while Ocean's in the picture. Plus! Sex isn't good for the baby"

"but she won't be next week" I point out and he places his hands on my shoulders. "exactly! And then you'll have me all to yourself. You, me and our son" he smiles reassuring me. "Now quit bugging me and let me get today over with" he chuckles and leaves to go back to his family.

Ocean's POV

"Stop" I mouth to Michael who keeps caressing my thigh under the table. "but I need you" he mouths back continuing moving his hand higher. "so, what plans have you made so far?" Kathrine asks snapping us from our moment and we look at her confused. "the wedding" she widens her eyes and I'm guessing she's been talking about it awhile, but we weren't paying attention. "we haven't made any yet" I shrug "your 18 now! You've both had plenty of time to make plans" she frowns. "but mother, we're already married and.."

"and it was done illegally! I want you two do it properly" Kathrine cuts Michael off and he starts smirking. "I'm glad you find this funny Michael!" kathrine snaps at him. "marriage is a very sacred thing and..."

"I agree" he smirks cutting her off. "what's wrong with you?" I ask him confused by the way he's grinning. "She's right! Marriage is a very sacred thing and it should be done right" he smiles at me biting his lower lip, then sighs nervously and shakily takes a deep breath and gets up from his seat. "what are you doing?" I giggle confused as he takes my hand pulling me up from my seat. He looks at me nervously for a moment then gets down on one knee, taking a small box with the most beautiful ring I've ever seen inside from his pocket. "Ocean Jackson... Will you marry me?"

"YES!" I squeal and he gets up pulling me into him and kisses me softly. We both giggle and blush slightly, when we realise that all eyes are on us and there's a restaurant full of people cheering.

Aisha's POV

As I'm walking down towards the restaurant, I see Michael standing beside his car with Ocean and quickly stand behind a wall so they don't see me. He's stood kissing and cuddling with her and I'm stood watching and fighting the urge to go over. Seeing Michael with her like that's hurts like hell, especially when he refuses to kiss me until he's broken up with her. I know how much Michael loves to kiss and cuddle. I seen him like that with Ocean when I lived with them, which is why I'm willing to let it go. I know Michael loves me and not her and I also understand how much he needs to be cuddled, even if it is by that slutty little bitch, it's just a comfort thing for him and I know he doesn't feel anything for her. As much as I want to go over there, I decide to turn around and make my way home. Like Michael said. As of next week, I'll have him all to myself and I'll be able to give him all the kisses and cuddles he needs.

Ocean's POV

I don't think she knew, but I could clearly see Aisha staring over at us from behind the wall. I smile onto his lips as Michael moans softly into my mouth pulling me in closer still with his eyes closed, which he does when he's content.

"c'mon love birds. Time to go" we hear Jermaine chuckle. "your kisses are amazing" Michael sighs onto my lips refusing to break away. "c'mon on Romeo, put her down" Kathrine giggles and he finally breaks away. "we'll finish this when we get home" he whispers in my ear as we're getting into the car.

Michael's POV

Proposing to Ocean tonight has got to be the most nerve-wracking thing i've ever done in my life. I know it sounds strange since we're already married and have two children together, but I never actually proposed the proper way with a ring and getting down on one knee. I've been planning that moment for weeks and LaToya and Janet helped me choose the ring. Everybody knew I was going to propose tonight except for mother and (Ocean of course) I wanted to tell her, but since mothers been driving me crazy talking about weddings, I thought it would be a nice surprise for her too.

when we got home, Ocean and I bathed Nevaeh and the three of us got ready for bed and all snuggled up together under the sheets. It's been along day for all of us and Ocean and Nevaeh fell asleep shortly after their heads hit the pillow and I lay smiling watching my two most perfect and beautiful girls in this world as they slept.
