Ocean's POV

It really broke my heart when my mother said I was never going to be good enough for her. The other things she said hurt me too, but that was what hurt the most. When I was a kid all I ever wanted was for her to say she was proud of me, even just one time and I know now that, that's never gonna happen. I tried to hide how much I was hurt from Michael, but as always he saw right through it. Which was why we came here to a hotel last night. I always knew it was going to hurt seeing my mother again, but i'm glad I did because it was a hurt I had to go through in order to move forward and be truly happy. Just like the hurt Michael will be going through so he can get his closure too and just like he was for me, I'm going to be there by his side the whole time.

"are you feeling better?' Michael asks sitting beside me on the bed. "Mhm" I nod "you sure? Because of you don't feel up to it we could always..."

"I'll be fine" I smile cutting him off and peck his lips "anyway. I don't wanna talk about all that stuff today"

"and why's that?" He smirks "because Somebody promised to take us to Legoland today!" I smile wrapping my arms around him. "and who might that be?" He mutters onto my lips. "the most most perfect husband a girl could ask for" I smile kissing him softly and he kisses me back deeper, pulling me down onto the bed.

Michael's POV

"Mommy! Daddy!" DJ and Vaeh squeal, rushing over to us the second we get through the door. "awww... We missed you both too!" Ocean and I smile picking them up giving them a cuddle. "were's Princess?" I frown looking around. "she upstairs with mother, taking a bath" LaToya says "at this time?" I look at the clock confused. "she exploded!" She scrunches her face. walking away. "can we go now daddy!?" DJ asks excitedly. "once your sisters ready"

"awww, but I'd didn't poop my pants. Not fare" he pouts. "don't worry. We're going soon!" I chuckle picking him up. And I suddenly notice Janet sitting on the sofa. "hey! How long you been there" I smile sitting beside her. "not long" she shrugs  "what's wrong?" I ask softly "you said we could talk after you took Ocean to see her mother" she mumbles "why? Don't you go in the kitchen and get some juice, with mommy and Vaeh?" I smile at DJ putting him down. "ok... I'll leave you to have grown ups talk" he smiles and walks off to find Ocean and Vaeh.

"sorry about yesterday. I did wanna talk to you, but Ocean was really upset" I turn back to Janet. "it's fine" she shrugs. "have you spoken to Jimmy yet?" I ask and she shakes her head. "your gonna have to tell him"

"he wouldn't wanna know so there's no point" she shrugs. "you don't know that for sure. And even if he doesn't, you still need to tell him"

"for what? He doesn't need to know. Nobody does"

"Janet, your pregnant" I say in a hushed tone so nobody hears me. "I understand your scared, Ocean and I was too. But you need to tell people. Including mother and dad. You can't just hide it"

"you didn't tell anybody" she shrugs "yeah, because just like you, we were scared and even though not everybody was happy about it. We still had support and love, just like you and your baby will" I smile reassuring. "but I don't wanna have a baby and..."

"well there's not much you can do about it now. I'll be here with you when you tell everybody ok?" I say softly and she shakes her head "I don't want..."

"Janet you have to tell them. A baby isn't something you can hide forever. Their gonna fine out when you have the baby anyway, so you may as well tell them now and give them time to prepare. I know I sound hypocritical saying that. But I'm telling you this from experience. Hiding this is only gonna cause problems and you don't want them to find out the way they did with me and Ocean do you?"

"maybe they won't have to find out"

"of course they'll find out" I roll my eyes. "their gonna know when they see you have a baby. Some people might be mad at first but..."

"they wouldn't be of you or Ocean had a baby" she cuts me off. "probably not since we're married and already have kids. But I'm not talking about me this is about you and your..."

"but you could take it" she cuts me off "if you and Ocean take it with you too Miami, then everybody will think it's yours and Ocean's baby and then nobody will have to know"

"you don't mean that" I say softly "yes I do. I could stay with you both when the baby's ready to be born then once it is I'll go home and..."

"we can't just take your baby" I cut her off. "I know your scared, but you'll be Ok and me and Ocean will help you out and we'll be there for you. Your not gonna be all alone in this. There's alot of single parents out there and if they can do it, then so can you and you'll be a great mommy. It'll be hard at first, but you can do this"

"but..."

"Daddy!?" Vaeh smiles coming into the room. "I'm just here sweetie" I smile picking her up "time to go?"

"let's go see if grandma's done with Princess" I smile getting up "everything will be ok" I smile at Janet through pursed lips. "I'm gonna see if your mother finished getting Princess ready" Ocean smiles walking through the room. "daddy can we go now?" DJ asks jumping up and down. "come and put you shoes on and we can go" I smile kneeling down to help him. "but, I'm not like you I can't do it" Janet says continuing the conversation. "you not being like me isn't a bad thing" I chuckle slightly. "which is why? You and Ocean should..."

there's a loud bang followed by Vaeh screaming and I rush over and pick her up "Sssh. It's ok" I soothe her ,cuddling her tightly "I fell down" she sobs "what happened!?" Ocean asks coming down with Princess "Vaeh fell and hit the table" DJ tells her. "knee hurts" Vaeh croaks and Ocean hands Princess to me. "let go get you some ice" she smiles softly picking Vaeh up. "what if you talk to Ocean about..."

"Janet! We have enough shit going on, without dealing with you too!" I snap cutting her off and Ocean comes back carrying Vaeh. "is she ok?" I rush over to them, still feeling like shit for letting her Vaeh fall "she's fine" Ocean smiles "I only turned away for a second and.."

"baby, she's fine" Ocean cuts me off and pecks my lips then breaks away "kiss make better!" Vaeh smiles opening her arms to me and I give her a kiss taking her with my free arm, still holding Princess in the other. "ok let's get going!" Ocean smiles picking up DJ and we all make are way to the car.

Janet's POV

When Michael left he didn't even bother saying goodbye and just walked out talking to DJ. There was a time when Michael would have wanted me to go with him on days out, but he never asks me anymore. I understand that Michael's Married to Ocean and has his babies, but since he's come back Michael has barely spent anytime or had much of a conversation with me, because he's always too busy paying attention to Ocean and the babies.

my thoughts are disturbed when mother comes downstairs. "he said no" I shrug. "of course he said no. He'd just walked through the door, Nevaeh fell over and DJ was all hyped up ready to go out for the day. It clearly wasn't really the best timing"

"he still said no though..  they already have three kids. Maybe they don't want another"

"Janet. Your 13 years old and alone. Do you honestly think your going to be able to raise a baby alone? You have school, no money, no husband, no job. your 13!"

"Ocean was only 15 when she had DJ and..."

"and she had Michael who was working and supporting them" she cuts me off "Janet, your father and I aren't doing this to hurt you. We're doing this because it's what's best for you and your baby and it's not like it'll be in another family and you'll never get to see to again. you'll get to see your baby grow up happy and cared for..."

"by Michael and Ocean" I cut her off. "and I won't get to see it grow up, because they'll be in Miami and it doesn't matter anyway, because he said no. You heard him, I know you were listening. He told me they have their own problems and don't wanna deal with me"

"and you can visit them and Michael only snapped at you because he was shaken up, when Nevaeh fell. He WILL say yes" she smiles through pursed lips. "why don't you speak to him then?" I shrug with an attitude. "you know why. If me or your father suggest it, then he'll think we're forcing you to give your baby away and then he will say no, so it has to come from you"

'well you are' I say to myself and my mother places her hand on my knee. "you've brought it up now, so it'll be on his mind, so speak to him again tonight. He'll be more relaxed an won't be rushing around so the two of you can have a full conversation about it" I nod and smile through pursed lips not saying anything. She isn't going to listen to what I want anyway so there's no point. I don't want to give my baby away, but mother and Joesph aren't giving me much choice. Even though I don't want to give it away, but since I have no choice in the matter I'm really hoping Michael changes his mind and says he'll take it, because I know he'll take care of it and love it, like he does with his own babies.

Ocean's POV

we've all been having a great time here at Legoland. Michael's been very caution and a little on edge with Nevaeh since we left the house. In a way it's sweet, but I can see he still feels really shitty about her falling over this morning. I've reassured him over and over she's ok and pointed out that kids fall over sometimes, but he always feels really guilty if one of the kids hurts themselves on his watch.

"we're in a restaurant getting some lunch and Michael is sitting with Vaeh on his lap. "this is the bestest place ever! Do we really have to leave?" DJ asks "the parks gonna be closing in two hours, we can come again though!" I smile. "I know! We can live here! Then we won't have to leave ever"

"that could work. We can live in the giant Lego house" Michael smiles "don't listen to daddy, he just being silly" I roll my eyes playfully and he sticks his tongue out at me. "I told you not to give him more ice cream mommy" DJ shakes his head making is both chuckle "can we buy a gift for grandma before we leave?"

"of course we can. What did you want to get her?" Michael smiles at him "the Lego castle in the gift store window"

"the one you wanted?' I raise and eyebrow playfully. "we can share. I love legos" he smiles sweetly"

"how come you love Lego's so much?" Michael asks curiously "because you can do anything with it and if it goes wrong you can knock it down and start again... Like us" he shrugs and continues eating. "how did you get so wise?" I smile proudly at him. "Someone has to be" he shrugs "well lucky for us we have you guys" Michael chuckles.

Michael's POV

By the time we get home it's getting pretty late, so Ocean and I put princess in her crib and bathe DJ and Veah then bring them downstairs for a snack before bed.

while Ocean is settling the two of them on the sofa I go in the kitchen to fix them something to eat and Janet comes in. "fun day?" She smiles sitting at the breakfast bar. "we had a great time!" I smile "you want something to eat?" I ask continuing making the kids snacks. "I'm not hungry" she shrugs. "well I'll make you some incase you change your mind"

"about this morning..."

"I'm really sorry about that" I cut her off "I was a little shaken when Nevaeh fell. I didn't mean to snap and take it out on you"

"it's fine" she smiles and I pull her in giving her a hug then break away and finish making the drinks for DJ and Vaeh. "did you talk to Ocean?"

"about what?" I ask pouring the hot Coco "about what we talked about?.. With my baby?" She whispers that last part. And I turn around confused. "I want you and Ocean to..."

"Daddy I'm hungry" Vaeh says coming in from the living room. "foods all ready" I smile then turn back to Janet "can you help carry these in?" I ask and she nods taking the plates "you wanna watch a movie with us?" I ask sitting on the sofa with Ocean and the kids "sure" she smiles slightly and sits on the sofa opposite.

Janet's POV

I tried to talk to Michael again like mother told me too, but once again he was busy and was only half listening to me. In a way I'm glad because he's clearly shown no interest in wanting to adopt my baby, like my mother and Joseph told me I should, but in another way it hurt that he had no interest in me at all. Michael and I used to be really close and we would talk and hang out all the time, but now he only ever gives his attention to Ocean and the children and he never has any time for me anymore.
