Joseph's POV

we're all sitting in Ocean's room and Carson comes in. "how's she doing?" He asks in a hushed tone and I explain about the condition she's in and he looks at her chart at the bottom of her bed. "your a doctor. You must have seen this before. is she going to pull through?" Kathrine asks shakily "I honestly don't know" he mumbles. "who was the doctor that performed the surgery?" He frowns "they didn't say why?"

"she'd overdosed earlier this morning and given birth in the same day and I wanna know what dumb fuck that agreed to her donating a kidney the same fucking day!" He snaps "anybody with common sense would know how stupid and life threatening that would be!"

"it was Ocean that insisted. Michael tried to talk her out of it but..."

"Ocean and Michael aren't doctors! It doesn't matter what either of them said. The doctor should never have agreed to it and I'll be seeing to it he never works in this profession again and I'll be suing him for everything he has!" He cuts me off.

"so that's why you came here? To get money!?" Janet snaps coming into the room "no! I came to see my daughter and check if she was going to be ok" he snaps back at her. "you don't fuck about her!!"

"Janet!" Kathrine snaps "well it's true! if he cared he wouldn't have disowned her when they had DJ! You just came to see who you can sue and get rid of Michael"

"that's in the past. I've excepted Ocean's children now"

"Their Michael's children too!" Randy cuts in "what do you mean get rid of Michael?" I ask her confused. "ask him! He's said something to Michael and now he's gone!"

"gone where? What have you said to my son!? " I frown. "I told him if he had any love for Ocean and her children then he'd leave before he destroys them any more than he already has" he shrugs "you better leave right now, before I do something I regret" I hiss "your son is what's wrong in my daughters life! And if she wakes up..."

"when!" Kathrine snaps at him. "if... My daughter wakes up. Then she'll be coming home with me and so will her kids"

"what makes you think she'll want to go with you!?" I snap "well it's not like Michael's here to take care of her. He walked out on her and his kids 20 minutes ago. Some man he turned out to be. He walked away when he's needed the most" he shrugs cockily. I charge towards him and I'm pulled back by Randy before I get close enough to him. "I'm going to go and speak to a doctor about My daughter and if any of you people try to attack me again I will have security escort you out of here" he smiles through pursed lips and walks out.

Michael's POV

I've been round the back of the hospital for awhile and the woman from earlier walks around the corner "hello again" she smiles "you needed get away too?" She asks and I nod, not saying anything "My families driving me crazy too. You know what families are like when there's a new baby" she rolls her eyes playfully and I smile at her through pursed lips "I'm Carol by the way" she smiles softly putting her hand out "I'm Michael" I mutter shaking her hand. "so how's your daughter doing?"

"she fine" I shrug then suddenly break down crying. "awww.. Sweetie come here" she says softly pulling me in for a hug. "you just let it all out"

Joseph's POV

I get off the phone and turn to the others "he didn't leave with LaToya and the kids and Aisha and Jermaine hasn't seen him either" I sigh. "I've looked all over the hospital and outside" Randy says. "where could he have gone? He wouldn't just walk away from Ocean and his kids. He worships them" Kathrine shakes her head "but, he thinks all this is his fault and isn't thinking straight right now and after what Carson said to him. Who knows what he's thinking" Janet's says "he loves Ocean. He wouldn't leave her" she shakes her head. "exactly. And if he thinks him being here is what's hurting her and blames himself then he might have walked away and..."

"but he's not to blame! And Ocean and those kids need him" Janet cuts me off "I know that and he needs them too. Who knows what he's gonna do if he's walked away" I sigh praying to myself that he comes back soon.

Carson's POV

I get to my car and Jessica comes running over "you still here?" I say coldly "how is she? is she going to be ok?" She asks shakily "she's not good" I mumble "and what about the baby?"

"I didn't ask" I shake my head "you didn't ask!? Carson she's just had a kidney transplant and..."

"yes I know!" I snap cutting her off "it feels like Marissa all over again" she croaks "Marissa didn't have have donor though" I sigh "I guess Ocean was good use for you in the end after all" I shrug "Carson!" she looks at me shocked. "it's true. You only wanted her to be a donor and now she's served her purpose in life" I say coldly "if she wakes up. I'll be taking her home with me and I don't want you near her"

"she's my daughter! And what makes you think she'll come home with you? She has Michael" she frowns confused. "she did! Michael gone now and he won't be back and I suggest you leave to"

"but...."

"Jessica I'm tired" I cut her off "I have a busy day tomorrow and I have to set up a room for Ocean and the kids. This conversation is over" I say sternly and close the car door and drive off.

Randy's POV

"excuse me. Have you seen my brother? His names Michael" Janet says to a man walking by showing him a picture of him on her phone and just like all the others he shakes his head and keeps walking. "c'mon Janet. He's not coming back" I sigh walking over to her. "maybe he's just lost. It's a really big hospital and.. "

"if he wanted to be found then he'd switch his phone on or call us" I sigh "maybe he just forgot it was switched off or his battery died or.."

"Janet. He left and he obviously doesn't want to be found" I cur her off and I put my arms around her taking her back inside.

Michael's POV

"you really needed that. Huh?" Carol smiles at me through pursed lips and I smile back at her the same way. "I'm really sorry about that" I sniffle wiping my tears. "don't be" she smiles softly. "you came out here for piece and quiet not to cuddle me and listen to me crying and telling you my life story" I sniffle. "we all need a little cuddle and a cry sometimes and from everything you've told me. Sounds like Ocean needs that too"

"I can't give her that though can I?" I croak. "she'll be ok. I can feel it" she smiles at me. I don't say anything and she puts her arm around me. "Michael, from everything you've just told be. You are not to blame for this and you haven't destroyed that girls life either. You were what saved her and she saved you. Sure you've both made mistakes along the way, but everybody does. Trust me Michael, Ocean and those children need you just as much as you need them"

"do you think I'm I being selfish doing this?" I mumble and she shakes her head. "I can't answer that. You have to listen to your heart and follow it" she smiles through pursed lips and pulls me in for a hug. "I know you'll make the right choice"

After speaking with Carol, I go back up to the special baby untit and again I only make it to the door and freeze. I stand stand staring over at her crib on the other end of the room and swallow a lump in my throat. "excuse me sir?" A nurse taps me on the shoulder "are you looking for somone?" She smiles and I open my mouth to speak, but nothing comes out "is there anything I can help you with?" She asks looking at me concerned and I shake my head. "no" I mumble and walk away once again without being able to face seeing Princess.

Janet's POV

"anything?" mother asks when Randy and I get back and I shake my head. "it's been over an hour! Where could he have gone?" my mother croaks and nobody says anything. "maybe he's gone home" I mumble "we've tried there already" Joseph sighs "he wasn't there before, but maybe he's there now though or he might have gone to his and Ocean house to change or..."

"Janet he's gone" Randy sighs "he wouldn't leave. I know he wouldn't" I shake my head "so where is he huh!? You think you know Michael, but you don't! You haven't seen the other sides of him! All you've seen is the loving and caring big brother, but trust me he has a very selfish and nasty side too!"

"Randy!" Joseph snaps at him "well it's true! He walked out of here without at word and refused to go anywhere near his own daughter. his wife's in a coma and his baby almost died and he walked out! And we all know exactly where he his, but nobody what's to say it! He's gone back to the drugs and probably fucking someone else. Michael's gone and he's not coming back"
