Sherri's POV

After what happened on the last visit I'm really worried about Jessica today. I know Jessica loves Duncan as if he was her own and would do anything to keep him, but I'm worried she may do something and end up accidentally harming him and risk losing him.

"I think Duncan's coming down with something, Maybe we should cancel" Jessica says coming into the room. "We can't cancel and there's nothing wrong with him. you know this" I frown at her excuse. "I don't see why it has to be a whole day anyway" she frowns putting his coat and shoes on. "Because it's Duncan's birthday and the social worker said they could spend the whole day with him"

"They don't even celebrate birthdays! Our religion forbids it!" She frowns "They've denounced their faith remember?" I sigh shaking my head in disbelief that Ocean would do something so disrespectful. "No they haven't! Their just saying that just to spite me so they can have more time with him" I sigh sitting next to her in the sofa. "Jessica you do realise their trying to get him back don't you?" I say softly "but they won't! I won't let them! I'll never sign him back over!" She snaps "but if they take it to a court you may not have a choice. Once they get their lives back on track they will try and go for custody and you need to prepare yourself for that" I say softly "but that's just it! Their only getting their lives back together because they don't have Duncan and they'll see that" she tries to reassure me as well as herself "I thought you were on my side anyway!" She frowns "I am but..."

"But what!?" She cuts me off "because it seems like your siding with them lately" I shake my head at her "I'm not! I told you this. Of course I think Duncan would be better off with you and he'll be raised in a good religious home and I'll do whatever I can to help you keep him.... Maybe you are right and the do only want to see Duncan from time to time... But you still have to prepare yourself"

Michael's POV

Because it's DJs birthday Gabby has agreed to let us take him to the zoo for the day. Jessica said her and Sherri are going to meet us there so Me, Ocean and Gabby have been stood waiting for them. "Where the hell are they!? They should be here by now!" Ocean says looking around for them. "They'll be here soon" I reassure her. I checked the tracker on my phone when Gabby was looking away so I know their close by. "They should have been here 20 minutes ago!" Seeing how anxious Ocean is getting Gabby decided to call and find out where they are, but just as she starts dialling we see them pulling up and Ocean rushes over taking DJ from Sherri. "What the hell! You should have been here 20 minutes ago!" I snap at Jessica. "Sorry there was a lot of traffic" she shrugs at me.

"Why does he have this!?" Ocean frowns seeing a pacifier in DJs mouth again. "Don't take it off him, he'll start getting upset and start throwing a tantrum of you do" Jessica says sternly. "I don't want him having it! It's covered in germs" she snaps and takes it out of his mouth throwing it in the trash and DJ just smiles not caring. "Seems fine to me" she shrugs. "Anyway... Let's go inside shall we?" Gabby smiles sensing the tension. And we all head inside, but Gabby puts her hand on my arm while the others walk ahead of us. "Is Ocean ok? She seems a little anxious today" She asks concerned. "She's fine, she's just strongly disagrees about pacifiers because kids drop them on the floor and they get covered in who knows what" I smile through pursed lips brushing it off. "A lot of first time mothers get a little OCD around their children" she chuckles slightly and we walk a little faster to catch up with the others.

We've been at the zoo for just over an hour and Jessica has already been picking at things we do. Ocean desperately wants to say something just like me, but today is DJs birthday and we don't want to ruin his first birthday. Plus we have the social worker with us and she told us as of next week we can see DJ for a full day on Saturday's depending on how today goes. Even though she isn't really saying much we know she's observing everything we do.

"So what's next?" Ocean smiles looking around. "How about the lions?"I suggest "oh no, it'll be far to scary for Duncan" Jessica shakes her head. "He'll be fine. There all in cages" Ocean shrugs and takes my hand walking towards the lions, still not letting go on DJ.

As we get closer to the lions I hear a familiar voice excitedly call my name and I turn around. "Dunk! What are you doing here!?" I smile giving her a hug and see Joseph and my mother timidly walking walking over. "Um, Janet felt bad about not getting to see DJ on his birthday and wanted to do something he'd like" Joseph mumbles. I have to admit I actually feel jealous mother and Joseph have brought Janet to the zoo for the day as they've never taken any of us out for the day, but I don't say anything and smile happy I get to see Janet. "Well you were right! Duncan loves it here!" I smile. "That's because he's just like me!"

"We'll we didn't name him after you for nothing, Dunk!" Ocean smiles "he's names Duncan not Janet" Jessica points out and I roll my eyes having to listen to her pick at yet another thing. "We called him Duncan after Dunk and Joseph after my father" I tell her "awww, how sweet!" Gabby coos and I can see the annoyance on Jessica's face. "Can we walk around with you guys?" Janet asks and I turn and look at Gabby unsure if we were allowed. "I don't see why not" she smiles "c'mon we're going to see the lions" I smile taking her hand. "Yay! Finally" I squeals excitedly.

So far everything's going well and nobody's been arguing. We're stood waiting to get ice cream and as I'm looking around, my blood runs cold see a familiar face. "What's wrong?" Ocean asks noticing my sudden change in mood. I don't say anything and she looks in the direction I'm facing "is that Jack!?" She frowns and I nod. He's walking around smiling and laughing with his wife and daughter. "Why can't we have just one fucking day without being around people we hate!?" I sigh annoyed. "Is everything ok?" Gabby asks walking over to us. "Yeah, I just thought I saw someone I knew, but it wasn't them" I lie smiling through pursed lips.

I try desperately to forget about jack being here but every where I turn he seems to be there. "Michael?" Joseph mumbles bringing me from my thoughts "would it be ok if I hold DJ?"

"Yeah, sure" I smile handing him to him and as I do I see Jack from the corner of my eye heading into the men's restroom. "I just have to use the bathroom could you guys wait for me?"

"You should have gone while we were over there" Sherri snaps "I didn't need to go then" I frown at her. "We'll wait by the fountains" Ocean smiles. And I head off quickly to the restroom.

When I get there Jack is just about to walk out when he see's me walking in "look, I don't want any trouble. I just came here with my family and..."

"I'm not gonna hit you" I reassure him and I see a look of relief in his face. "I just wanna know why? I thought we were friends, why did you try and do that to me?" He sighs taking a deep breath. "I didn't want it to happened that way. I know I shouldn't have threatened to fire you its just... I saw the opportunity and I took it" I look at him confused for a moment "but you have a wife and a child, just like me why would you try and make a move on me?"

"I have a wife because just like you I knocked her up and didn't have a choice. You can't blame me for trying, your a good looking kid and..."

"You wanted me?" I cut him off "that's right, I wanted you and I went the wrong way about it I'm sorry" he sigh. "But what about your wife? Wouldn't she be mad if we were to..."

"I don't give a fuck about her. It's you I want" he cuts me off and I walk closer to him. "So you still want me?" I ask moving closer to him and he nods "more than your wife?"

"I don't want my wife... I want you" he says moving his hand slowly towards my crotch, but I grab his wrist before he gets any closer "I'm gonna back to my wife and son now" I smile at him "I'm glad we got everything cleared up" He looks at me confused and I turn and leave to go meet Ocean and the others at the fountains.

Ocean's POV

We're all sat in a café for lunch and I feel Michael hand under the table caressing my thigh, smiling at me biting his lower lip as everyone else carries on eating oblivious to what he's doing. He does these things every time we go anywhere and I'm pretty sure he has a turn on about public places. "I can't remember last time we were all together like this" Katherine says pulling me from my thoughts. "I do it was when Ocean was giving birth in her bedroom" My mother frowns and I roll my eyes knowing exactly where this is going. "Actually the last time we were all together was at the hospital that same day when you and Carson were trying to force them to give their new born baby away to strangers then kicked her out" Joseph frown back at her. "They were just kids and still are and it wasn't like that" my mother snaps at him. "Maybe this isn't the best place" Gabby says quickly calming the situation. Nobody says anything and carries on eating, leaving and awkward silence at the table. From the corner of my eye I see Jack and his wife an daughter come into the café. "Are you serious!?" Michael frowns noticing them as well "Michael nows not the..."

"Is everything ok?" Gabby asks "we just saw Michael's old boss just walked past the window" I lie "didn't end on good notes I'm guessing?" Gabby turns to him. And Michael shakes his head not saying anymore. Everyone carries on with their food and I keep looking over at their table. I see Mary get up and head to the female restroom. "I have to use the bathroom" I smile getting up "why couldn't you go when Michael went?" My mother asks and I roll my eyes at the dumbness of her question "because I didn't need it then"

I get into the restroom and Mary is just coming out of one of the cubicles. "Oh hi, it's Ocean right?" She smiles remembering me from the time they came over for dinner "yeah that's me Michael's wife" I smile "it's a real shame about what happened. After all the hard work they put in and the bosses released them because of budget cuts" she sighs "that's what Jack told you?" She looks at me confused and I sigh taking a deep breath. As must as I hate Jack I actually feel sorry for his wife and daughter "there's something you need to hear"

I get back to my table and sit back next to Michael sliding his phone into his pocket before anybody sees.

"You fucking sick bastard!!!" We hear Mary scream coming out of the restroom. We all turn and watch as Mary slaps Jack and takes her daughters hand to leave. "Wait! What are you talking about? What's happened?" Jack asks confused walking after her. "Your a sick pervert! I know what you did! And I know why you lost you job too!?" She screams and he looks at her confused then notices Michael and I (as well as the whole café) watching them. As soon as he spots us he turns back to Mary nervously "look I can explain!!" He whines heading after her. "Wonder what that was all about?" Sherri says watching them still arguing walking away from the café "some people have not class" Katherine sighs shaking her head.

Michael's POV

After the zoo we went back to Jessica's house so DJ could open his presents and have some birthday cake. Jessica asked my parents if they wanted to come in but they politely declined non of them actually wanted to be anywhere near each other but thankfully they kept things civil for DJs sake.

Later that night Ocean and I are getting ready for bed and she sits at the edge quietly. "What's wrong?" I ask sitting beside her "their turning DJ against us" she mumbles "what!? Of course their not! DJ loves you. your his mommy. Why would you think that he'd turn against you?"

"Why else would they take him from is if it's not to turn his against us? They don't love him or care about him. From day one they wanted to take him away from us. To them he's just some half breed that shouldn't even be here and now they have him their trying to turn him against us... Because of what we did. He hasn't done anything. Why are they punishing him like this?" She croaks and I pull her in close to me. Not saying anything because I don't know what to say because I have the same unanswered questions she does
