Ocean's POV

I'm in my room getting ready and my mother comes in "you haven't forgotten have you?" She asks sternly "of course not" I fake a smile "I made an appointment for 10:30 to see Mr Gibbs, he's a really good lawyer and specialises in cases like this"

"10:30! You better hurry up or we'll be late!"

"We? You don't have to come I'll be fine on my own" she frowns shaking her head "I'm coming! And I'm going to make sure you sighs those papers"

I hate that I have to do this. I feel like I've just made a deal with the devil, not my own mother. It's completely messed up Michael's plans for getting legal visitation but he assured me he's ok about it, because this way we get all day with him instead of just one supervised hour a week, but we just have to be a lot more careful.

"Is there a particular reason you don't want me there?" My mother asks bringing me from my thoughts "of course not" is sigh "good! Now let's go" she smiles leaving the room.

The entire drive my mother has been coaxing me on what to say. "Now don't mess this up" she says sternly "that deal only stands if you get this restraining order"

"I won't mess it up" I assure her "while we're hear can we talk about when I'll be getting custody?" she sighs shaking her head "let's just get this over with first. We can talk about all that another time"

"But..."

"Ocean!" She snaps "I've allowed you back into my home and for months, I've taken care of Duncan day and night, while your busy with school and getting your life back together. And I'm even letting you take him out for the whole day once a week and I did that all out of the kindness of my heart! Maybe you should try being a little more grateful....I told you we will talk about it another time now let's just go in there and get this over with"

Jessica's POV

"Is this going to take much longer?" I huff after being here for almost an hour "I just need to take a few more details Mrs Thompson" Mr Gibbs, Ocean lawyer says. "What more do you need to know!? That boy took advantage and abused my daughter when she was just a 15 year old little girl. He beat her for months and isolated her from her friends and family and she's terrified for her and Duncan safety! What more do you need to know!?" I snap. "Mrs Thompson could you please step outside for a moment while I speak with your daughter?" He asks calmly and I frown confused "whatever you need to say to her you can say to me"

"I need to go over some personal things with your daughter first and then we can get on with the order"

"Fine!" I snap and then look over at Ocean giving her a 'don't fuck this up'  look before leaving the room.

Moments later Ocean comes out into the corridor and tells me, Mr Gibbs is ready to sign the paperwork.

I read through it all first then watch as Ocean signs. "Ok Miss Thompson, that everything" he smiles at Ocean shaking her hand "so what happens now?" I ask and he turns to me "well, Mr Jackson will be notified by his lawyer immediately and if he tries to contact either Miss Thompson or her son he will be arrested on the spot" he gives us a copy of the order and we thank him and say our goodbyes.

Once we're back in the car Ocean asks me about the deal I made with her. "so now I've signed the papers I can have on Saturday's right!"

"A deals a deal...just like the other deal I made with you about what would happen if you see Michael again" I say sternly. "And I haven't and I won't. I just signed a restraining order remember?" She goes silent for a moment "so...can we talk about"

"I told you we'll talk about it another time" I cut her off before she bothers to ask. I have no intention of having this conversation. Her and Michael will be gone soon so the whole thing is pointless.

Michael's POV

I get home from work and Jermaine is sat waiting on the sofa for me "Jason called while you were out...Ocean signed the papers" I nod sitting beside him "yeah I know, she text me and hour ago"

"Are you ok?" I nod smiling through pursed lips "mhm..I hate that she had to make that deal with Jessica but if you think about it, Ocean gets DJ for a whole day everyday Saturday" I smile "and what if they see you with them?" He asks raising and eyebrow "they won't...Ocean's gonna come here with DJ. Their not gonna see us two towns away" I shrug. "Well you better be careful" he warns then sighs and goes silent for a moment "mother called today too" he mumbles "she was asking how you were and says she misses you"

"Well I don't miss her!" I snap "She's still your mother" he reminds me "no! She was my mother but she lost the right to call herself that the second she threw my wife out into the streets and turned her back on me when I needed her the most" he's about to speak but I cut him off "this is all her fault! If she hadn't have kicked Ocean out then we would have DJ back by now! She knew Ocean had nowhere to go and now she's stuck with Jessica"

"I told you she's always welcome here" he reminds me and I shake my head "she can't...DJ needs his mother if she moves out now Jessica won't let either of us see him" I croak trying not to cry but fail miserably and break down in tears.

Sherri's POV

"So did she do it?" I ask Jessica and she smiles proudly "yup! And I have a copy of the order as well"

"And are you really going to let her have Duncan on Saturdays?"

"I made a deal and I never go back on a deal you know that" She shrugs "And what if she takes him to see Michael?" I point out "she will! And I can guarantee you that when she takes Duncan out this Saturday, Michael will be with her" she smiles and I look at her confused "then what was the point of the whole restraining order?" She sighs rolling her eyes at me "because...once Michael goes near Ocean and Duncan he'll be arrested and it will prove their still seeing each other. Which means..bye bye to the both of them!"

"And how are  you going prove it? If she takes him out for the day by herself we'll have no idea where they'll be"

"Because We're going to follow them"

"We?" I fold my arms raising an eyebrow "mhm...I'll follow Michael and you follow Ocean and as soon as we see them together we can get a picture and we'll have all the evidence we need" she smiles proudly. "For months that little shit wouldn't let me anywhere near either of them. Now he gets to see what it feels like to have his child taken away from him" she smirks. I look at her skeptically for a moment "I thought all this was about you getting Duncan?"

"It is" she shrugs "are you sure? Because it's seems like it's more about you getting back at Michael and Ocean than it is about Duncan"

"Of course it's about Duncan!" She snaps "Duncan's my last chance at being a mother again....Michael and Ocean being out of the way is just an added  bonus" she shrugs smirking.
