Thursday, 2 days before Yuzuru's accident.

Shine is ready to go to work and head in the dinning area when she see Allen again sitting with her parents but Min is no where to be found.

"Good morning, where is Min?" Shine greets and asked no one in particular as she take her seat.

"He is sleeping Shine. It's his rest day today" Dad answer.

"Shine, we will need to execute the plan sooner" Allen suddenly said, he is nervous.

"What? Why? But I still have more than a week" Shine protest.

"We think that they will make a move sooner!" Dad explain with urgency in his voice.

"But I still have more than a week" Shine repeats herself and tears start to build in her eyes.

Mom move closer to her and embraced Shine from the side.

"Shine, listen to me! it will be just temporary. Who knows maybe tomorrow everything about this will be over! But for now please just follow us!" Mom said sympathetically to Shine.

"Please tell me you are not serious. My one month is not over yet" Shine said while looking in everyone at the table, wanting for just one of them to side her.

"I am afraid not, Shine. We need you to be gone now" Mom answer and her hold to Shine become tighter.

Dad and Allen look at Shine, they are feeling sorry for her.

Then Shine's crying become loud while she hold the arms of her mother.

"Shhh"Mom said to calm down Shine while Dad get and hold Shine's free hand.

That night while Shine lie down in her bed, she think about the things that they said earlier.

"So are you going to let them 'kill' you without Yuzuru knowing?" Shine's inner self asked her.

"I am not ready! and I can't let them reduced my remaining time with him. As if one month with him is not short enough and now what? they want me to be dead sooner!...No! I just can't" Shine said to herself in a low voice.

"So are you willing to sacrifice your family's safety especially Min, for Yuzuru?" Shine's inner self asked again making her more confuse.

"I don't know! stop making me more confused" Shine said to herself and she put a pillow over her face.

She fell asleep and dream of her night with Yuzuru before his flight to China.

Shine knocks at the door of the Hanyu Residence, Yumi —Mommy Hanyu, opens the door.

"Hello Shine! come in" Yumi greets in Japanese.

"Hi Mrs. Hanyu, I brought this, I hope you'll like it. I made it" Shine said in nihongo and smile. Shine handed the box of sushi to Yumi. Yumi say her thank you and signal Yuzuru to welcome Shine while she head to the kitchen. 

Yuzuru smile as soon as he see Shine at the door, removing her sandals and put it in the side.

"Hello!" Yuzuru greets Shine with a happy smile on his face.

"Hi!"Shine greets him shyly.

"What are you two still doing there? Yuzu, let Shine come in. We shouldn't let our food waiting" Yumi said in Japanese while standing in the dinning area.

Yuzuru open a way for Shine. As Shine walks in, Yuzuru suddenly said something in her ear, "You look extra dashing today" and he smile.

Shine look at Yuzuru in the eyes and she shyly reply"Thank you" .

They finally join Yumi in the dinning area and eat.

"This is delicious!" Shine said as she indulge herself in the dishes that Yumi cooked for them.

"Thank you! You made a delicious sushi too" Yumi reply.

"I have some help..." Shine instinctively said as she think of Allen helping her earlier. 

Yumi and Yuzuru looked at her —they are waiting for her to finished. But Shine realized that she shouldn't have said those, as it may cause misunderstanding. Or at least not now, when Yuzuru is going to China tomorrow.

" ...from the internet hehehe" Shine immediately added and fake a laugh.

Dinner was over, Yuzuru brings Shine to their back yard where they sat in the grass under the lights of the moon and the stars. Shine relax her head in Yuzuru's shoulder and sigh.

"Why?" Yuzuru asked as they are gazing the dark sky.

"Nothing,! It's just that...I will miss you" Shine said and exhale.

"Me too" Yuzuru agree and kiss her head. "Staying here with you like this , really makes me wish that: I don't have to leave tomorrow"  Yuzuru added and exhale too. 

"Then don't!" Shine said but she don't meant it. Because she knows how important every competition for Yuzuru.

 Yuzuru then move to face Shine.

"Don't worry! I'll be back after the competition is over" Yuzuru promise.

Shine curved her lips up a little.

"But remember, when you said that last time and you ended up being gone for a month?" Shine sadly reminded him of the fact.

"That was different. Plus, now it has specific time frame, so I will come back sooner" Yuzuru reassuringly answer Shine.

Shine smile a little to make him unworried.

"See you are more beautiful when you smile" Yuzuru said more as he cheer up Shine.

Shine shyly laugh and she look him in the eyes .

"I will always LOVE YOU " Shine suddenly said.

"You know, us Japanese don't usually say this but I LOVE YOU more, now and FOREVER" Yuzuru said.

"Forever??..don't say that..I mean, it's not that I don't like to have a forever with you but what if we...you...or me... can't keep that promise?" Shine said.

"But for me, Shine, you are my forever. I waited for 14 years and now that you are here with me I can't lost you again" Yuzuru answer.

"Why did you wait for me that long?" Shine sadly asked.

Yuzuru hold Shine's hand while he looked at her.

"I waited for you because I think I have love you ever since we met" Yuzuru said and kiss Shine's hand.

Shine look at Yuzuru with full of love in her eyes as she listen to him.

"I remember how excited I am as I wait for you to come everyday, whether in the park or in the ice rink. Then one day you didn't come but I still waited. Days have past but there 's still no sign of you. Later, I found out that you are completely gone... without any trace" Yuzuru relayed and sigh. 

Shine didn't say a word and just listen to Yuzuru more as he continue.

"And when I am about to forget you and I said to myself 'Okay! I'll just wait for another day' Until, days turn to weeks,  to months then to years. That's when I realized, it must be because I love you. That's why I am waiting, even though there is no certainty that I will find you again" Yuzuru relayed more.

"What if I didn't appear? Will you still continue to wait for me?" Shine asked.

"I think so. Plus I will hire someone to look for you" Yuzuru answer and smile.

Shine is flutter to hear Yuzuru and she softly touch Yuzuru's face. 

Yuzuru smile as he feel the warmth of her hand. Shine is smiling while looking at Yuzuru too. Then Yuzuru get Shine's hand from his face and hold it. 

"So, Allen help you prepare that sushi?" Yuzuru asked and he look away from Shine.

Shine looked startled, "How— He just help me, I promise!"Shine hurriedly said.

Yuzuru looked at her and smile.

"Don't worry, I have accepted the fact that Allen is and will always be a big part of your life. Actually,  I appreciate that you just don't want me to get hurt if you had mentioned him earlier" Yuzuru said with a smile that reassuring Shine.

"Thank you for understanding! I don't mean to hide it, but now that you are going away for several days. I thought that, we better spend our remaining time together not thinking about other people" Shine said and lower her looked.

Yuzuru smile and lift up Shine's face a little, he put her hair in the back of her ears.

"I love you" Yuzuru softly said and he planted a soft kiss in her lips.

Friday, a day before Yuzuru's accident.

Shine wakes up smiling.

"Even in your dreams he always makes you smile" Shine's inner self said.

She then stand up and go to the bathroom first. Then, Shine calls Elvin to tell him that she will only be working for a half day shift today, to watch Yuzuru skate live.

Finally, it's time for Yuzuru's group to skate their short program.

Every time Yuzuru will appear on the screen of her laptop, Shine can hear the crowd become wild.

"What you do to us?" Shine said to herself in a low voice and smile.

After the program ended, Shine texted Yuzuru to congratulate him.

Job well done! Congratulations! 2nd place is not bad at all <3

Shine didn't expect to receive a reply from him —at least just yet —she know that he's probably still busy. But just second after she texted him, her phone rings —Yuzuru is calling.

"Shine! I am glad to hear your voice. By the way, thank you! but I am not happy with the result" Yuzuru sadly said on the other line.

"It's okay! besides you can do better tomorrow on your long program" Shine said as she wants to cheer up Yuzuru.

"That's what coach told me but I think I could have done better...I know I can!" Yuzuru said and regret can be heard from his voice.

"Of course you can! You are YUZURU HANYU...the best of them all...the GREATEST" Shine said cheering up Yuzuru more.

Yuzuru laugh, a thank-you-for-cheering-on-me kind of laugh and he exhale loudly.

"Hearing your voice give me so much strength. Thank you!" Yuzuru said.

"You're welcome" Shine said and smile to herself.

"Yuzu, they need you at the press con" A woman's voice said in nihongo at the background.

"Okay!I'll be there" Yuzuru reply to the woman's voice in Japanese too.

"I think they need you now" Shine said.

"Ah..Yes!...so bye for now?...see you soon..I miss you" Yuzuru hurriedly said.

"See you soon and I miss you, too" Shine said. She kiss the phone and hang up.

Saturday, the day of Yuzuru's accident.

Shine don't have work today but she still decided to wake up early to watch Yuzuru skate live again in her laptop.

While waiting for Yuzuru's group to skate, a live coverage shows Yuzuru at the backstage; he's wearing a black jacket with large Japan printed on his back; his ear phone are hanging from his ears —he is dancing to whatever he is listening. Yuzuru is obviously nervous.

Shine smile at his sight.

The wait is over, Yuzuru's group are behind boards and preparing for the warm-up. Shine can her the whole arena roar. Shine cover her mouth with her hands to minimized the volume of her scream too —she feel the excitement too.

The warm up starts. Every time Yuzuru will appear in the screen Shine feel more excited.

"Go! Yuzuru you can do it!" Shine said to the screen of her laptop.

But after a minute or two the commentator stopped and said something scary.

"There is a massive collision between the two skaters but we can't see who it is yet" the commentator said.

Shine felt a sudden chill over her body. The crowd in the monitor become silent.

"There! we see it now, the two skaters involve are Yuzuru Hanyu and the other skater Han Yan" the commentator said.

Shine see Yuzuru Hanyu lying down in a cold floor of the ice rink. She started to cry.

"Where are the Medical people?" Shine yelled at the screen.

Shine feels so scared and panicky. But finally, Yuzuru stand up and skate towards Coach Brian with his blood dripping down from his chin. The ice was cleared and then a commercial is suddenly played.

"Where did you go?"Shine yelled on the screen her laptop.

After two commercials, the live streaming is back. Shine see that Yuzuru is back on the ice again. With a bandage in his head and a plaster in his chin, he will skate —Yuzuru will still skate. But Shine can see that Yuzuru is not in a good shape anymore to continue the competition. Yuzuru jumps during warm up and the crowd become loud again as they cheer for him.

The six minutes warm up is over and all the skaters leave the ice.

Nam will be the first one to skate but Shine can't concentrate with his performance. All she can think about is how's Yuzuru that moment. Three more skaters perform before Yuzuru but Shine cared less about them. Finally, Yuzuru's turn has come.

Representing Japan:

Phantom of the Opera by A.L Webber starts to play and Yuzuru start to move too.

"Here is his first jump, a quad that's what written here"  the commentator said.

Yuzuru make an entrance for a jump. He put his right foot forward, his arms are close to his body and he lift himself into the air. He make a four full rotations in the air but he fall in the landing.

"and he fall" the commentator said.

"Go Yuzuru!"Shine said while she put her both hands together.

"Another quad...and he fall again" the commentator said.

After four minutes or so, Yuzuru's performance is over. The replay of his performance is being played while they wait for his score. Coach Brian is sitting next to him and consoling him as he cries.

"You see, we see him fell 5 times but we didn't see him back down, what a true samurai spirit he has" the commentator said again.

But Shine it too focus on Yuzuru to pay attention to what the commentator said.

"HANYU, YUZURU...score is 237.55 and currently in first place"

Yuzuru cry more after he had heard his score.  Shine cries too, from more than 7000 miles along with him. Shine didn't finished watching the competition. She wipe her tears and run to her parent's room. She knock with urgency at their door.

"Shine? Why?" Mom confusedly asked when she opens the door.

Shine barge in into her parent's room.

"I'll be dead sooner like what you guys wanted" Shine said, seriously as she stand in front of them.

"What change your mind?" Dad curiously asked.

"But let me see Yuzuru first" Shine said not listening to her dad.

"Why? What happened to Yuzuru?" Mom concernedly asked Shine, she guide her to sit in the chair.

"He got into a massive collision earlier and he is bleeding. He is not well....and..and..He might not come back here!" Shine said and her voice breaks and she started crying again.
