Shine looked confused at first but then she remember Allen's apparent confession several months ago.

Shine crossed her arms as she sit back and smirk, "You almost got me there!".

Allen frown first but decided to smile too.

"Let's go home, Allen" Shine said. When she is about to stand up, Allen's phone ring.

"Hello" Allen said as he answer his call immediately. He is frowning as he listen to the person on the other line. Then he say "okay" and hang up.

"That was your dad, they want to see you! let's go!" Allen urgently relayed as he stands up and offer his hand to Shine. She take his hand and they walk to Allen's car.

Allen help Shine put on her seat belt "there" he said.

"thank you" Shine replied. Allen then go and sit on the driver seat.

"Why do you think I am joking?"Allen asked Shine out of no where while he starts the car.

"Well, one, I know for a fact that you are only doing your job of protecting me, hence you want to be closer to me. Even if it means that you'll have tell me some ridiculous lie. Second, how can you possibly liked me? I mean, let's be honest, how can someone a 'chick-magnet' guy as you can set an eye for a girl like me?" Shine answer, laughing at that thought.

"Why not?"Allen asked again.

"O c'mon Allen!" Shine said as if what Allen asked something impossible.

"Are you...angry?"Allen hesitantly asked while his eyes are fixed forward.

"At first, yes! But after a while it becomes more of a hurt feeling. Because of all people, I didn't expect that from you..."Shine honestly said as she looked at Allen with a sad smile. Shine then look forward, "but I am fine now. And surely, I will see things more objectively now" she said and smile to herself. Allen then looked at Shine for a brief second but didn't say anything—feeling guilty,maybe.

"I think, Hana would be more of your type than Shine" Shine then follow up and looked at Allen again.

"Hana?"Allen confusedly said and he raise an eyebrow.

"I am not saying Hana as in ME...but the character of Hana. She is independent and tough lady, unlike me. Plus, I am sure that she will not get intimidated with you" Shine explain.

"Do I intimidate you?" Allen asked, fascinated by what Shine said.

"well..." Shine simple answer and she nod at him, making Allen smile —a cute smile that shows his deep dimples.

After several minutes of driving, Shine and Allen arrived in the house, where they see Mom and Dad sitting in the couch together with Hyeon and Yuna. Mom immediately stand up and hugged Shine.

"Mom" Shine said as she feel Mom's warmth. They release each other and join the rest again.

"How's Min? I am missing him so much" Shine initiates a conversation.

But no one answered, "How's your study going?"Dad asked her instead.

"It's going fine. I can converse now with my french and Spanish. Yuna, Hyeon and of course Allen, help me a lot" Shine said as she's reporting her progress to Dad.

"Good!" Dad said plainly and patted Shine in the shoulder.

"So how's Min?" Shine repeat herself to them.

Mom and Dad looked at each other. Then Mom put her head down. Shine begins to be frighten as she see her parents acting that way.

"Tell me! Is there something bad happen to Min?" Shine urges them to answer her as the panic in her voice grow bigger.

"No Shine, he's fine but..." Mom finally answer and pause. Mom then hold Shine's hand and Shine can tell that Mom is nervous. "But we are afraid that it's not for long. We discover that they found out about Min already" Mom finishes as she hold Shine's hand tighter.

Shine did not speak and just listen to her parents as they continue.

"I thought we are careful; that they will not find about Min this soon, but we are wrong. And If they are able to set their hands to him..." Dad said and he pause, not welcoming the thought. "Min will be gone without any trace. They will kill Min in the most inhumane manner you can think of" Dad finishes and there is a horror in his voice.

"Why are they doing this? For sure, this is not just about you leaving them because you want a quieter life" Shine asked, demanding for a more detailed explanation.

Mom and Dad look at each other, hesitant to answer her.

It's almost midnight already, Mom and Dad went home ages ago as they needed to be with Min — always. And Shine is still wide awake while  sitting on her bed and thinking about what her parents told her earlier.

"You are right Shine, there are more to that" Mom finally said.

"So what is it then?" Shine demanded.

Mom releases Shine's hand and loudly sigh, before she begin to tell Shine their story.

"Back in the days, before you were born— or even conceive, we just follow what is being said to us. We even..." Mom pause and tuck Shine's hair behind her ears as she continue.

"...have to kill...Yes Shine! we killed people; we have bloods in our hands and sometimes in the most brutal way you can imagine..."Mom relayed. Mom stop again as she see that Shine's eyes grow with fear. Shine is imagining the image of her parents killing thousands of people. Mom hold Shine's face with her one hand, "Do you still want to hear the rest?" Mom delicately asked Shine. Shine nodded and Mom continue as she released Shine's face.

"One day we received an order to kill the heir of the most powerful leader in the world and we agreed"Mom said but she stop. Dad rest his hand above Mom's shoulder, indicating that he will tell the rest.

"We agree to do it. But then we found out that the heir they want us to kill was not even born yet. We kill people, Yes! but we still have rules. First: no babies . And Second: no pregnant women. We just can't kill them.." Dad relayed and he laugh to himself as put his hand together,"...we still have a heart after all" . Shine looked at Dad as she is sympathetic towards him, she knows that they will not do what they did if they have another choice. Shine do not interrupt Dad while she listen eagerly to him.

"We still try to do it though, in exchange of a promise that it will be our last. But unexpectedly, we become friend with her. She was nice. Then, your Mom and me decided that we can't kill her or her child. That's why instead of killing her or her child, we choose to killed ourselves — in a bomb explosion. Leaving everything that had been planned for nothing. Later we found out that the she and her baby is still alive..." Dad relayed with a smile.

.....

"Who are they? Is the child a girl or a boy? Do she or he know my parents? Does she or he hate them? Do I still need to live in hiding if they did what they want? Will we have a happier and simple life now?"Shine curiously asked to herself.

"Your parents did a good job of keeping the mother and her baby alive. And admit it that you are proud of them for doing so" Shine's inner self lecture her.

"Of course, I am! but you can't erase in me to asked what if ...no..no..no they did the right thing to keep her and her child alive" Shine said and she shake the thought out of her head.

Shine sigh— she released a part of the heaviness she felt in her chest along with that exhale . She then stand up and walk toward her study. There she open a drawer that contain everything related to Shine's memories of Yuzuru. Yuzuru is the only person that can ease her pain, he is the only clear thing in her chaotic world now. She get her old mobile phone, when she open it, she see many text from Yuzuru. She started reading them.

I am with Javier and Nam earlier and we talk about you..they missed you too but maybe not as much as I do. We spend this whole afternoon just talking about you...Nam said that he knew from the start that you liked me...that he can see from your eyes the jealousy when someone mentioned Mikka... I wish I had that ability so I needn't had to go to Japan for a month and be parted away from you :-( I will love you Shine forever.

Shine's tear starts to fall, her chest become heavy as she continue to read his messages.

Time for my boarding I know it's useless that I am still texting you but it's like a habit now...or I just really love you, Shine...and I am still not ready to let you go yet...I love you so much and it really hurt me to think that you will not answer back.

Shine stop reading his text and hold her mobile phone closed into her chest.

"I'll come back to your embraced, Yuzu.. just wait..." Shine said sobbing and she touch her bracelet.
