Another very long chapter.

GPF - day 1

Yuzuru is waiting to enter the ice rink when he take a glance up and he saw Shine. Shine looks different -very different -she cut her hair short with a full bangs and dye it with a frost blonde, she is not wearing her eyeglasses and have aqua blue contact lens instead.

"Is that Shine?"Yuzuru wonder.

Shine put the hood of her jacket and the lights strike Shine's bracelet perfectly for Yuzuru to see the YH engrave on it.

"It is Shine!"He said in a low voice to himself and the door opens.

"15 mins...i'll just need to wait 15 mins more...FOCUS!" Yuzuru said in his mind and exhale loudly.

Skaters 6 minutes warm up is now over. Please leave the ice.

On the ice; representing Japan: Yuzuru Hanyu

"Focus! Focus!" Yuzuru said to himself and Chopin Ballade no.1 start to play.

He starts to move with elegance. Then he make an entrance for his first jump -a triple axel- he do the spread eagle and then he put his left outside edge backward and lift himself up to the air. He rotated three times and landed on this right outside edge with a perfect timing and it looks so easy then he do a spread eagle again. The crowd went clap loudly,giving him more encouragement.

Yuzuru landed another quad perfectly.
The crowd clap loudly again. Then he make another attempt for a jump but this time he fall. But he still smile and continue his skating.

Yuzuru skated almost perfectly and he cannot be more satisfied with his performance.

He catches his breath and bow to the audience as the ice rink starts to be filled with Winnie the pooh. Yuzuru see Shine looking at him she's mumbling something but the distance make it difficult for him to read her. He looked at her and unconsciously he wink at her.

While waiting for his score to appear Yuzuru take a look at Shine again and he saw that she was leaving.

Scores please! Yuzuru Hanyu 94.08 and it's his season's best.

After hearing his score Yuzuru immediately go to the back stage and remove his Ice Skates.

"what are you doing?" coach Brian confusedly asked.

Yuzuru did not answer him and run bare footed.

"YUZU! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" Coach Brian yelled but Yuzuru is already out of his sight.

Yuzuru run as fast as he can and he saw Shine running in the lobby.

"SHINE! SHINE!" Yuzuru called her name several times but Shine is not turning around.

She continue to run and Yuzuru continue to chase her. Then his fans started to build up and crowded him. He tried to escaped from them but as he tried it just become more and more crowded.

"SHINE! SHINE!" Yuzuru yells more but she was gone. He started to feel a little claustrophobic, luckily Mr. Hiroshima and several of his people is following him and they help Yuzuru get out from the crowd and bring him back inside.

......

"Where did you go?" Coach Brian concernedly asked.

But Yuzuru is not himself -he walks blankly as Mr. Hiroshima assist him in a chair. His mother rush to him too.

"Go to Javier first coach! he will be up soon" Yuzuru instructed blankly to Coach Brian. Coach Brian hesitantly follow Yuzuru and head out to go to Javier.

"It's Shine! But why did she run from me?" Yuzuru said to himself in a low voice.

"Shine is dead Yuzu!" His mother said while she cupped his face.

"No Mama, she is not!"Yuzuru said firmly.

His mother hugged him tightly.

"My poor boy, I know how much you loved her but she is not here anymore." His mother said with sympathy.

His mother releases Yuzuru and looked him in the eyes.

"Why don't you give other a chance...Mikka's been liking you since you guys are young" Then she brings out Yuzuru's phone and handed it to Yuzuru. Yuzuru get the phone from his mother.

"Or this Kazumi girl. She's been texting you since earlier, I don't know her but by the way she always calls you and text you,she seem to like you" His mother said. She stand up and kissed Yuzuru in the head.

"Think about it" She said and softly touches Yuzuru's face.

Yuzuru nodded.

"...I am just going to the restroom" she then added and leave Yuzuru.

When his mother is gone, he set aside his phone and didn't even bother to looked at it. Mr. Hiroshima is standing beside Yuzuru, observing him. Yuzuru lean forward and put his hands together like he is praying for something. He bend down and bury his head to his hands.

"But what I don't understand is why she run away from me?" Yuzuru said to himself again.

"Yuzuru-kun, may I speak?" Mr. Hiroshima said. Yuzuru looked at him and nod. "There are only two things you want to do if you are hiding. First, You hide to protect the people that you love. And Second, You hide because someone is chasing after you- just like in the kids game" Mr. Hiroshima finishes.

"I don't know!"Yuzuru said. Then he push his head all the way back and faces the ceiling. Then he sit straight again and he get his phone and type in a message for Shine.

12-12-2014 9:45 p.m

I saw someone exactly like you. I am maybe  hallucinating but I saw her bracelet and I KNOW IT'S OUR BRACELET, but that would be impossible right? What am I thinking? I even run after her but I lost her. Tomorrow hopefully I will see her again and I will be able to confirm everything. Oh by the way I skated almost perfectly today and that makes me so happy...I know you are too if you're here...I love you :-)

"I hope you'll read this and know that I am still waiting for you, Shine" Yuzuru said in his mind.

Javier come in and head to Yuzuru.

"Are you okay? where did you go? Coach told my everything" Javier asked him hurriedly, he is obviously worried.

Yuzuru nodded and start to speak.

"I just thought....I've seen someone" Yuzuru said as he faced him with a frown and looks confused by what happened just earlier ago.

"Is that person a SHE?" Javier asked more.

"Huh?" Yuzuru asked, his confusion just shift to Javier's statement.

"You run after that person bare footed, I can only assume it's a girl" Javier explain more.

Yuzuru looked at his feet and see that his socks are dirty.

"You should put your ice skates back, Yuzu. They will be interviewing you soon...it seems that no one can beat your SP score" Javier said with a smile and he patted him in the shoulder.

"Yuzu, you want to come with us?"Javier asked Yuzuru while they are preparing to leave.

"No thank you Javi, I think I'll just stay in my room"Yuzuru politely turn down Javier's offer.

"Are you sure?you might see that person again!" Javier insisted.

"I am sure, Javi"Yuzuru said with finality and smile weakly.

"Okay! I'll leave now. Seeyah tomorrow at practice"Javier said and happily wave his hands to Yuzuru.

Yuzuru wave too, then his phone rings.

Ring...ring...ring...

"Hello Kazumi?" Yuzuru answer.

"Hello Yuzuru-kun?...CONGRATULATIONS! I saw your SP and it wowed me!" Kazumi said with much enthusiasm in her voice.

"Thank you!"Yuzuru said and he blushed.

"I know you will do it again tomorrow!"Kazumi added and by the sounds of her voice it's obvious that she is excited to hear Yuzuru's voice.

"I will do my best for tomorrow" Yuzuru said like he was saying it in a press con and not really to a friend.

"Ahm...Kazumi can we talk some other time? I am kinda exhausted already and I want to rest" Yuzuru then added with a tired voice, not wanting to talk to Kazumi -it's not completely a lie because he is indeed tired.

"Sure...sure...Congratulations again! Have a good rest for tomorrow!" Kazumi said and Yuzuru can hear the disappointment in her voice.

"Thank you" Yuzuru said and hang up.
.....

He is sitting in his bed ready to sleep when Shine's memory suddenly barge in.

"If what Mr. Hiroshima said is correct. To whom you want to protect us...me? and who are chasing after you?" Yuzuru asked trying to make sense of the action of Shine earlier.

He get his phone again and type in a message for Shine again.

12-12-2014 11:00 p.m

I won the SP event! Though I know that it might have a different outcome tomorrow but I am just glad to have this experienced. I'll try my hardest to skate well tomorrow too and win.You know...I don't know how to put it but I am excited to see the girl I saw earlier...she looked exactly like you except for her blonde hair and I think she's wearing a contact lens too...what I am saying?...sorry..sorry...I text you again tomorrow...I LOVE YOU :-)

"I know you will not text me back but I just want to you to share this moment with me" Yuzuru said as he press send.

GPF - day 2

Mr. Hiroshima and his team arrive at the stadium with Yuzuru.

"Focus! Yuzu focus!"Yuzuru said in his mind.

"Maybe if I text her it will lessen my nervousness" He said to his mind as he bring out his phone. He saw a message from Kazumi but ignored it.

13-12-2014 8:00 p.m

This is it...guide me today so I can skate well later...I REALLY WISH YOU'RE HERE...I love you.

Yuzuru is preparing to enter the rink. He looked up hoping that he will see her again. And there she was a blonde haired girl with a model-like aura -very different from yesterday.

"She come!" Yuzuru said happily in his mind. But his happy face is suddenly gone when he saw Allen whisper something in her ear and it made her smile.

Skaters please enter the ice for your 6 minutes warm-up

"Forget about them for a moment Yuzu!" He firmly said to himself while he shake his head and skate towards the ice now.

Skaters please leave the ice, your 6 mins warm up is now over.

Representing Japan: Takahito Mura

Yuzuru walk inside and feeling uneasy -he didn't know if it was because of the competition or the fact that he saw Allen and Shine together.

He is walking in circles -people who will see him will immediately think that he is nervous.

"I can't take this" He said is his mind and bring out his phone.

13-12-2014 9:00 p.m

I am not supposed to text anyone but I kinda needed to...I saw her today! You know that I am actually looking forward to seeing her again and she did came. I was so happy to see her again but then I saw Allen is with her...and as silly as it might be but I think I am kind of jealous seeing them together...I am sorry, I feel that I am cheating you with a woman I don't even know...But my heart will only know how to love you Shine...

He keep his phone back inside his bag and see Javier walk in circles too.

"That's nervous" He said in his mind again and he walks toward Javier.

"Javi, relax you can do it!" Yuzuru hold Javier in the back and Javier turn around.
"besides you are home and your people love you"Yuzuru added giving Javier the encouragement he needs.

Javier give a weak smile. Then Javier is up.
"wish me luck" He said.

Yuzuru have his arm up and his fist closed. "Good luck"  he said with smile to Javier.

Yuzuru finishes with a smile.

Score for Yuzuru Hanyu is 288.16. This is his new season's best.

Yuzuru is happy to hear his score and to win the GPF. After his interview he rush out to go to the lobby and maybe he can still see Shine there.

He froze as he see Allen kissed Shine.

"Yuzuru!"Javier then call him.

Allen and Shine break there kissed and seems shy as Javier and Yuzuru approach them.

"Allen?...Hana?...what are you doing here?"Javier asked in spanish as he and Yuzuru walk closer to them.

"You know spanish too? Why are you avoiding my eyes?"Yuzuru want to asked her but held it in.

"Congratulations to the both of you" Allen said as shake both Yuzuru's and Javier's hand alternately while his other hand is still holding Shine's.

"Thank you!" Yuzuru and Javier both said.

Javier smile at them but Yuzuru frown as he look at Shine.

"Shine, it's me!" Yuzuru want to say it but he can't.

"... this is Yuzuru, Hana" the only word Yuzuru actually heard from Javier.

"so you are Hana now?" Yuzuru said in his mind as Shine bow to him.

"Hi! I am Hana, nice to finally meet you Yuzuru...and Congratulations! on your win" Shine greets Yuzuru. She extend her hands to Yuzuru.

Yuzuru politely shake Shine's hand back.

"Yuzu, this is Hana. She's our new receptionist. She was supposed to be our surprised when you're back in Toronto... Doesn't she look like her?" Javier said as he smile to them.

Yuzuru did not speak as he looked at Javier.

"That's the bracelet!" Yuzuru said in his mind as he stare blankly in her bracelet.

"Why?" Shine asked. Yuzuru look at her and shake his head.

"Boys the medal ceremony is about to start! come quickly before we get penalized by the union" Coach Brian yelled from behind.

Javier and Yuzuru turn there heads to see Coach Brian with his both hands are in his waist.

"Coming Brian"Javier said and turn their heads back to face Shine and Allen.

"We need to go now...Hana, see you at the club...bye to you both" Javier rashly said and wave his hand to them. Yuzuru nodded but did not speak. They both walk-run back inside the arena.

"doesn't she really looked like Shine?" Javier said once they are inside.

"not really"Yuzuru lied while he shake his head.

"not really?"Javier said in questioning tone.

"yes not really! I mean her aura and her blonde hair don't resemble Shine at all" Yuzuru lied again but he sounded believable.

"well, I guess, in your eyes Shine is the only one" Javier said and patted Yuzuru in the back. Yuzuru smile at him.

"she don't resemble Shine because she is SHINE" Yuzuru said in his mind and skated.
