__ Gia's POV __

I just came from the restroom... I didn't really have to go. I just wanted to get away from Kelly. I can't believe he asked me to go to the College Dance with him this weekend. I'm just confused right now...

GIRL VOICE: "Hey! Watch where you're going!"

Exiting the restroom, I accidentally bumped into someone who was trying to enter.

GIA: "Oh, I'm sorry-- ...Mikayla?"

MIKAYLA: "That's me. Who is you?"

GIA: "Um, you were at church Sunday when you met with Kelly and his family?"

MIKAYLA: (thinks) "OH YEAH. I saw Kelly on Sunday... and I do remember your face. What's your name?"

GIA: "I'm Gia..."

MIKAYLA: "Gia? Nice to meet you. So, do you go to university here? Are you an artist, too?"

We stood outside the restrooms, talking in the hallway of the Music Building.

GIA: "Uh, no, I'm not an artist; I'm here with some friends. But I do go to school at this university."

MIKAYLA: "Forreal? That's mad cool! I heard B5 is performing this weekend for a party and I thought I might catch them here and sneak in the sound booth to record a song with them."

She flips her hair with a huge grin on her face. Wait... this girl is joking, right?

GIA: "Oh, yeah, well... I don't know about that... (awkward laugh) I don't think they want any uninvited visitors--"

MIKAYLA: "Whatchu trying to say?! Ha, I'm practically a friend of the family so I don't see what the problem would be. Look, I'm gonna find B5 -- especially my man Kelly. That's the real reason I came here." (fixing her hair)

GIA: "Just wondering, but aren't you two not an item anymore?"

MIKAYLA: (raises an eyebrow) "That's what HE says, but I'll change his mind once again. Once you go Mikayla, you NEVER GO BACK!"

GIA: "Riiiggghhhhtttt..."

KELLY: "Hey, Gia. There you are! Where did you go?"

That instant, Kelly walked up to us looking relieved to see me.

GIA: "Bathroom."

MIKAYLA: "Well, well, well. We meet again Kelly. I think this is a sign." (twirls her hair around her finger and smirks at him)

KELLY: "Whoa-- Mikayla?! Wh-What are you doing here?"

MIKAYLA: "Y'all act like I have no business here--"

KELLY: "Because you don't. Why are you here?"

MIKAYLA: "The studio is open to whoever it pleases. Anyways, my friend goes here, so he told me about it so I came to check it out myself. But honestly... I came to see you."

KELLY: (hesitant) "What do you want?"

MIKAYLA: "Let's speak in private. Excuse us, Jelly..."

GIA: "It's Gia..."

__ Kelly's POV __

I don't know why Mikayla is here, but she better have a good reason. She needs to understand that she's my EX... an EX-ample of a girl that no guy should want. She used me before, and I can't let it happen again. She pulled me into a small private rehearsal room which only had a chair and a music stand.

KELLY: "What is it, Miki?"

MIKAYLA: "Ooh, I just love when you get all tense... you're soo cute! (sizes me up with her eyes) Well, I heard about the college party this weekend."

KELLY: "What about it?"

MIKAYLA: "B5 will be performing, and I should perform with y'all."

KELLY: (chuckles) "HA! Yknow good and well your butt can't sing! You've gotta be joking, right?"

MIKAYLA: "No, Kelly, I'm not. I just wanna spend more time with you -- THERE I SAID IT!"

She pouts out her lips and acts all sad.

KELLY: (annoyed) "Miki... for the last time. We are not together. Our relationship is over..."

MIKAYLA: "It doesn't have to be..."

Mikayla started caressing my face and was slowly kissing my neck. I needed to stop her.... but my body... it wouldn't allow it. Next thing you know, she had me up against the wall with her hands rubbing all over my body. I felt my hands working on her butt. 

Mmmmm.... feels so good. 

GOSH KELLY SNAP OUT OF IT DUDE!

KELLY: "Ugh, Miki. Stop. Stop, STOP!! (pushing her off) This is wrong."

MIKAYLA: "If this is wrong, I don't want to be right. (smirks) Come on, baby! Just give me another chance. I'm not asking to be your girlfriend, just your associate. Or whatever you want. I'm tired of begging! Kelly Allen Breeding, give me a chance!"

KELLY: "Okay... A-Alright. Just one more chance."

MIKAYLA: "See? Now was that so hard?"

KELLY: "Naw... (chuckles) I-I gotta get back in the studio--"

I turn to exit the room, but she grabs my bicep.

MIKAYLA: "Wait! I was thinking we could hang at my apartment tonight... to catch up on everything we've missed?"

KELLY: "Okay... call me. I'll meet you there."

Well, Kelz, that wasn't too bad. Was it? ...

__ Bryan's POV __

Gia walked back into the studio looking annoyed as heck.

REESE: "Gia! Where were you girl?!"

GIA: "Bathroom. I just needed some... air."

BRYAN: "Where's Kelz? He went to look for you."

GIA: "With Mikayla."

DUSTIN: "Mikayla? You mean his old girl?"

GIA: "Yep. Her."

PATRICK: "Yeah, she came around church on Sunday, which was surprising because you'd never know a girl like that would be seen at church." (chuckles)

DUSTIN: "Word." (shakes his head and laughs)

CARNELL: "So, she's out there talking to him?"

GIA: "Yep."

RAVEN: "You don't look so happy. How do you feel about it, Gia?"

GIA: (shrugs) "It's not like my opinion matters in this case. So, whatever."

BRYAN: "Your opinion matters, Gia. You have the right to speak your mind like anybody else."

GIA: "Look, if Kelly wants to get back with Mikayla then so be it! I'm not gonna stop him!"

DUSTIN: "Aye, aye, listen. Enough about my brother's love life. I think we should all go and get some rest. I know I'm tired and I'm sure my baby is too."

RAVEN: "Yeah. Kelly can make his own decisions, so let's just stay out of his business. This session today was awesome though, you guys. Like seriously."

PATRICK/CARNELL: "Thanks!"

REESE: "It really was fun! Let's do this again."

PATRICK: "Bet. See y'all later, guys."

Everyone forgot about Kelly and started to leave the recording room. Kelly texted me and told me he had a ride and he'd be staying the night at Mikayla's place. That doesn't sound too smart, but whatever. He's grown; and nobody could ever tell Kelly what to do anyways. Meanwhile, me and Gia were the last ones to leave. As we were walking the halls, I stopped her to talk.

BRYAN: "Yooo! Hey, wait up."

GIA: "Bryan, I'm tired. Let me go, please."

BRYAN: "Well, excuse me for wanting to talk to my good friend. I just wanted to know if you were okay."

GIA: "I am completely fine, Bryan. Have a goodnight."

BRYAN: "Whoa, whoa. Wait. Um... our English assignment. When do you think we can work on it? We only went through our scene once in class and--"

GIA: "How about the end of NEVER!"

BRYAN: "Gia. We have to present it Friday though, and I refuse to fail any of my classes."

GIA: "I'm sorry. You'll just have to settle with being a failure then..."

I walked in front of her and placed my hands on her shoulders, making sure she only focused on me. Her eyes looked tired and kind of sad.

BRYAN: "Look... I don't know why you're acting this way... girls are crazy sometimes..."

GIA: "Hey!"

BRYAN: "BUT... if I had anything to do with how you've been acting lately, I'm truly sorry. I've never meant to make you sad, mad, or in between. You're an amazing girl, Gia. You're smart, beautiful, and you have the potential to be whatever you wanna be. So, I hope there are no hard feelings and we can get past this... deal?" (grins)

GIA: (yawns dramatically) "Are you done, lover-boy?"

BRYAN: (smirks) "Yes, I'm done."

GIA: "Great. Meet me tomorrow in my dorm room at 5:00pm sharp. Don't be late."

She winks at me and walks out the building. Bryan, my man... you've done it once again! :P

*LATER*

___ Kelly's POV __

I made it to Mikayla's apartment. It was surprisingly not too far away from the campus. I rang the bell for Miki to let me in, and I walked up the stairs to find room 5B. My legs were getting tired from walkin' up all these stairs... I barely noticed someone walking down the stairs before I bumped into them.

KELLY: "Oh! Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

GIRL VOICE: "It's fine..."

KELLY: "Nicole, is that you?"

She had looked like she'd been crying or something.

NICOLE: "Yeah. Hi, Kelly..."

KELLY: "Hey, it's nice to see you again! How are you?"

NICOLE: "I'm alive, so I'm not too bad." (awkward laugh)

KELLY: "Um... Reese told us about your father. I'm really sorry--"

NICOLE: "Don't worry about it; I never knew him anyways. Well, I should be going..."

KELLY: "Okay. Uh, be safe, Nicole."

NICOLE: "Haha, right."

That was weird. She didn't look too happy. But then again when my dad died, I wasn't so happy either. Well, I hope she's okay. Anyways, I continued to room 5B. Finally made it!

MIKAYLA: "Kelly! I'm glad you made it! Make yourself at home." (smiles)

KELLY: "Thanks. So, what do you have planned tonight?"

MIKAYLA: "I'm glad you asked. I made dinner for us and I figured we could talk, then watch a movie, then just... relax."

KELLY: "Wow, all for me? Where did the old Miki go?"

MIKAYLA: "Ha, ha. I'm right here. You just didn't give me a chance to show you the real me when we were dating..."

KELLY: "Mhmm, well, I appreciate it. Aye, so, what's for dinner?"

__ Nicole's POV __

Ughh! Today is NOT my day! First, I found out my father dies, then I had this small fight with Roger. I mean we've joked around before, but sometimes he plays too much. Like, after I told him the news about my dad, he cuddles me or whatever but then tries to get freaky?!! I'm like, IT'S NOT THE RIGHT TIME!! Then his stupid self got mad and left for an hour and came back expecting me to act like everything is fine?!! LIKE, NO I DON'T DO THAT! 

Once he came back, I asked him where he had been and he said no where. Really, dude? I knew he was lying; I smelled some girl's perfume on his clothes, too. He can't be cheating on me... can he?

I just walked out of his apartment, because I'm not dealing with his BS. Then I ran into Kelly. It was weird seeing him in that apartment building. I wonder who he was going to see?

__ Mikayla's POV__

Kelly enjoyed my dinner I made him - and I knew he would. We got to catch up on a lot of things, too! And what topped it off was that we were cuddling on the couch watching Love and Basketball, my favorite movie. Ahhh! I just know I can win him back, especially since I have a juicy plan. Wink wink.

MIKAYLA: "You like the movie, love?"

KELLY: "Yeah, it was really good actually."

MIKAYLA: "It's my favorite movie. It's sooo romantic!"

KELLY: "Yep. (chuckles) So... what's next?"

MIKAYLA: "A surprise that I think you'll love."

KELLY: "Ooh. More raspberry cheesecake bites?!"

MIKAYLA: "No, silly. (giggles) Just go in my bed room and you'll find out..."

KELLY: "Nothing's gonna jump out and bite my butt is it?"

MIKAYLA: "KELLY!!! Stop joking and sit on my bed before I bite YOU!"

KELLY: "Aight, aight. Chill." (chuckles while leaving the room)

Finally!! Hopefully, this night will go as planned. I slipped off my night robe to reveal my cute lingerie that I had just purchased today. I walked into my bedroom where Kelly was lounging on the bed. As I seductively approached him, his mouth fell open and his eyes widened at my beauty. I climbed on top of him, and the rest is not to be written...

***THE NEXT DAY***

__ Author's POV__

Carnell was walking through the university courtyard, admiring nature's beauty. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping; so far, life was great for him! His school life, music life, and love life were all amazing for him! Ever since Reese and Eric "broke up", he's gotten to spend a lot of time with her. They aren't official yet, but Carnell hopes to ask her real soon.

As he was turning the corner behind the Physics building, someone jumped him from behind! Then the person started trying to choke him and push him into the building, but Carnell was stronger so he swung the person into the building and pulled their arms off of him.

CARNELL: "YO, yo! HEEY!! STOP!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

GUY: "Are you Carnell Breeding?"

CARNELL: "Who wants to know?!"

GUY: "Yo, my brother got some beef with you 'cuz you stole his girl! I came here to beat yo butt!"

CARNELL: "Look dude, I don't know what you're talking about, but I don't appreciate you or anybody running up behind me playing games. Do you even go to this school?"

GUY: "Yeah, I do. Look man, I'm just defending my brother -- with his punk self." (shaking his head)

CARNELL: "I really don't care. If you don't leave me alone, I'll call the police on you, aight?! I better not see you again, or I'll go Christian Gangsta on your--"

GUY: "AIGHT MAN!! (raises his hands up, chuckling) You a mess. I'll tell my brother to deal with his own problems, then."

CARNELL: (gives him an angry glance) "Yeah, you do that."

GUY: "Later, dude..."

Do you think anyone will bother Nellz again? And who was that random guy?

Off to Nicole and Gia in their Calculus class.

NICOLE: "Hey, Gia."

GIA: "Nicole! Where have you been?!"

NICOLE: "Nowhere in particular... you miss me?"

GIA: "I guess. (they hug each other) So, are you and Roger still love birds?"

NICOLE: "Well, we had an argument. I think he might be cheating on me."

GIA: "No! Are you sure?"

NICOLE: "Not really, but he's been acting really weird lately, like all defensive and stuff. And I smelled a girl's perfume on him."

GIA: "Oh... what you gonna do?"

NICOLE: "Just stick with him, I guess. I mean, he may not be cheating at all."

Class was over and they continued to talk in the hallway.

GIA: "Are you going to the party this weekend?"

NICOLE: "I might go with Roger since he wants to go. I hear B5 is performing."

GIA: "Yeah. And they have a new single with Reese, too!"

NICOLE: "OMG. My girl got a single?! Ugh, I can't believe I've missed soo much." (frowns)

GIA: "You can always break up with Roger..."

NICOLE: "I wish... well, I'm gone. See you later, Gia."

GIA: "Oh, okay. You too."

We move on to math class where Raven, Patrick, and Carnell have just taken a test. Now they're working on homework, talking about the day's events.

PATRICK: "Yo, I gotta tell y'all some deets..."

RAVEN: "What's up, Pat?"

PATRICK: "Bryan told me where Kelly went last night..."

CARNELL: "Where did he go?"

PATRICK: "To Mikayla's house. You won't believe what Kelz said he did!"

CARNELL: "He didn't do IT... did he?!"

PATRICK: "Take a guess." (smirking)

RAVEN: (shocked) "NO!"

PATRICK: "Mhmm. He didn't even tell no one either, he just texted Bryan."

CARNELL: "Well, it's not like you text your brothers EVERY LITTLE THING you do." (chuckles softly)

RAVEN: "Guys, I know Kelly's grown, but I'm wondering.... did he use protection?"

PATRICK: "Wouldn't we all like to know. (snickers) If not, we'll be seeing a big-headed baby wit' a gap in his teeth like his father in 9 months!"

CARNELL: (chuckles) "Patrick, you wrong for that. But I really wanna ask Kelly for myself. You think we should tell mom?"

PATRICK: "HECK NO! She wouldn't want to find out that stuff about any of us - unless you want Kelly to die!"

RAVEN: "Okay, let's please change the topic. Do you guys wanna go out to eat tonight?"

CARNELL/PATRICK: "YEAH!"

Across the campus, Nicole and Bryan are starting a conversation...

BRYAN: "So, how've you been, Nicole? So sorry about your dad."

NICOLE: "Don't be sorry; I didn't know him."

BRYAN: "Oh, that sucks. Well, my condolences to your family. Are you going to the funeral?"

NICOLE: "Why should I? That man didn't do anything for me except leave me."

BRYAN: "He's your dad though."

NICOLE: "Bryan, can we not talk about this now? I'm not in the mood."

BRYAN: "I'm sorry... (thinking) I remember when my dad passed. I was still young and we weren't even B5 yet. Dad would always come to our shows, tell his friends about his talented young boys, and he always encouraged us. He was the best ever. Then one day, he ended up in the hospital and that was it... we couldn't believe it--"

NICOLE: "BRYAN! How is this helping the way I feel right now?! I'm sorry about your dad, okay. I'm sorry you had the perfect life and siblings and a loving mother to share it with... (starts to tear up) but I don't care! You get everything you want and you don't have to worry about anything. But me? I have to worry about my boyfriend cheating on some thang behind my back; about not failing all my classes this year; about if my mom is safe sleeping with a new man every single night! (crying softly) I have all these people worried about ME and all I can say to them is "oh I'm fine" or "Don't worry about it", because I hate having to tell people all my business! Bryan, do you understand how it feels to not have anyone that understands you?"

BRYAN: (awkwardly silent)

NICOLE: "Yeah I thought so. You have fans across the world worshipping the ground you walk on. But me? I had people calling me all sorts of bad names in high school just because I couldn't find a decent boyfriend. This is my life! Did you know that I was supposed to have a little brother? Yep... a decade ago my mom hooked up with this guy that "loved" her and she got pregnant. I was young then and I didn't know what was going on in their relationship; but I was just happy to have a brother! Until my mom had a miscarriage and my brother died. Now... I'm the only child my mother has... and... I want to be the best -- I really do. It's just... so hard."

Bryan stood silent for a few more seconds, not knowing what to say. Then, he cradled Nicole in his arms while she let out all her emotions. He had no idea of the rough life Nicole had compared to his. Everything by the grace of God was freely given to him, while it seemed like everything was taken from Nicole.

BRYAN: (comforting her) "Shhh, it's alright now. I'm here for you. You don't have to cry. And you don't have to go through this alone."

NICOLE: (between sobs) "Why is... why is it that I c-can tell you anything and it a-always makes me feel better?"

BRYAN: "Because I'm a Libra. We have empathy for everyone; we LOVE people." (smiles proudly)

NICOLE: "I don't wanna sound all gushy but... I love you, Bryan. Sorry for messing up your shirt with snot, too."

BRYAN: "Ahh, don't worry about it."

They continued to hug each other in the middle of campus.
