Juhi looked at avni who was busy in making coffee. She opened the fridge and took out a water bottle. She started mumbling something but loud enough so that avni could hear.

Juhi: ab kya karu me jaa nahi sakti kyu ki mithali aayi hui he neil bhi busy he aur bheema bebe ke saath he, kya karu kise bheju.

She spoke like she was thinking deeply. Avni heard this and went near her.

Avni: it's ok me la deti hu tum mujhe address dedo.

Juhi faked a smile while smirking in mind.

Juhi: thank you but are you sure?

Avni: ha am sure.

Juhi: ok just 1 minute huh.

Juhi came out from the kitchen and went to living room. She saw mithali was sitting alone she looked here and there and went near her.

Juhi: mithali neil kaha he?

Mithali: vo uske department se urgent phone tha so apne room me he.

Juhi: ( in mind) waah mera kaam aur aasan ho gaya.

Juhi: ok me abhi aati hu.

Mithali nodded and juhi went from there. She came to avni and gave her a chit.

Juhi: isme address mention kiya he waha se le aana.

Avni: thik he me apna phone lekar aati hu.

Juhi: avni vo aunty ke dawayi ka time almost ho gaya he to tum please jaldi jao aur tension mat lo me neil ko bata dungi. Aur tum ye piche ke darwaze se chali jao yaha se tumhe direct main road milega.

Avni: thik he.

Juhi gave some money to her and avni left from there.

Juhi: ( in mind) jao avni jao me Dua karungi tum wapas kabhi na aao yaha.

She smirked evily and went back to mithali.

After walking for sometime avni reached to the main road and was waiting for the taxi. After standing there for 10 minute she finally got a taxi and sat inside mentioning the address to driver.

Other side

Neil came downstairs after talking with dd and roamed his eyes everywhere trying to find avni. Mithali noticed it and teased him. Juhi was also there beside mithali.

Mithali: ab 1 second bhi tum apni biwi ke bina reh nahi sakte neil huh. Yaha tumhari friend aayi hui he aur tum bhav bhi nahi de rahe ho.

Neil chuckled and sat infront of her on another couch.

Neil: ab kya kare ye dil he ke maanta nahi.

Mithali laughed seeing him like this.

Mithali: waah the great acp neil Khanna to bohot deeply pyaar me padh gaye he.

And they kept on talking like this. Most of the time neil only speaks about avni telling mithali about her whereas juhi just sat there thinking about something.

Neil: me abhi aaya.

Juhi looked at neil who was going towards kitchen and called his name stopping him from moving.

Juhi: Neil tumhe kuch chahiye tum betho me le aati hu.

Neil: no that's ok.

Neil went inside the kitchen while juhi started fidgeting her fingers nervously.

After a minute neil came outside, with frown on his face. Neil walked towards mithali and juhi.

Neil: juhi tumne avni ko kahi dekha?

Juhi: na nahi to mujhe nahi pata.

Neil: Kaha chali gayi avni.

Mithali: kaha jayegi neil ghar me hi hogi me kabse yaha bethi thi mene to usse bahar jaate nahi dekha.

Neil: me bahar garden me jaake check karta hu.

Mithali nodded and Neil went from there. She looked at juhi and found her lost somewhere. She kept her hand on her shoulder.

Mithali: juhi are you okay?

Juhi just nodded smiling slightly.

Other side

Avni was looking at her hand watch time to time.

Avni: aur kitna time lagega bhaiya?

Driver: madem ji vo jagah bohot door he 1 ghanta to lagega.

Avni: 1 hour, accha please jaldi chaliye.

Driver: ji.

At Khanna mantion,

Mithali left from there few minutes ago when her fiancee called her for some work.

Neil was pacing to and fro with a worried look. Bebe kept her hand on his shoulder consoling him.

Bebe: Neil puttar shant hoja yahi kahi gayi hogi aa jayegi wo.

Neil: kaise shant ho jao bebe, kuch bata kar bhi nahi gayi Poore ghar me dhund liya aur upar se phone bhi ghar pe chod ke gayi he.

Saying this he sat on the edge of the couch burying his face in his hands. Shweta, juhi were also there. Shweta looked at Neil and sat beside him passing him a glass of water.

Shweta: pile aur shant hoja.

Neil looked at his mom and hugged her tightly. A tear drop fell from his eyes on her shoulder. Shweta had never seen this side of neil. She caressed his hair still being in hug. Neil broke the hug.

Neil: I just hope vo thik ho vo to Mumbai ke baare me jaanti bhi nahi phir kaha chali gayi.

He started crying more, shweta's heart pained seeing her son in this situation.

Shweta: ( in mind) me apne tillu ko ish halat me nahi dekh sakti bas vo ladki jaldi ghar aajaye.

Her thoughts got interrupted by neil. He stood up from the couch wiping his tears.

Neil: me ese hi yaha Beth nahi sakta me jaa raha hu avni ko dhund ne.

Bebe: Neil puttar thoda aur wait karle ho sakta he vo aati hi hogi.

He sat there silently and was praying for her safety.

After 1 hour she finally reached the place that juhi mentioned in a chit. She frowned looking at her surrounding.

Avni: bhaiya ye konsi jagah le aaye aap yaha to kuch bhi nahi he.

She said looking here and there. The road was vacant. There's no one not even a bird or animal. The deep jungle towards her right side was scaring her to the core.

Driver: madam aapne jaha bola tha ham le aaye. Mujhe Der ho rahi he aap jaldi paise de dijiye.

Avni: par yaha to kuch bhi nahi he aap shayad galat address par le aaye aap wapas le lijiye gaadi.

Driver: dekhiye madam me vapas nahi jaane wala waha mujhe aage kuch kaam he. Ye jagah mere rashte me thi isliye mene chod diya aapko.

Avni: ( in mind ) ab kya karu ye konsi jagah aa gayi me.

She had no way arguing with him was waste of time. So after paying him money she quickly got down from the car. Taxi driver left from there.

She was alone all alone in that vacant area. She looked at her surrounding there was no one except the scary jungle and the empty road. Though it was noon still she was the only one there so she was scared as hell.

She had never experienced going alone somewhere. Her baba always accompanied her whenever she goes. Her eyes welled up. She thinks about neil.

Avni: neil ko bhi nahi bataya mene. Par filhal to mujhe yaha se jaldi nikal na hoga. Yaha to koi lift bhi nahi milegi.

She looked at the time.

Avni: 12 baj gaye, ya Allah bas jaldi ghar pohoch jaun.

She started walking back. Her throat was dry she was thirsty for water also her BP would have been dropped down whenever she skipped meal or water. She wiped her damp forehead and exhaled a sigh. The temperature was so high that day it was so hot outside.

She was engrossed in some thoughts when she heard a honk sound. For a minute she got scared but didn't stop walking.

She again heard a honk sound. She clutched her dress in a fist tightly muttering something.

Her heart started pumping loudly. Someone kept his/ her hand on avni's shoulder.

Avni widened her eyes, her heart skipped a beat. Nevertheless she turned around facing him/her and closed her eyes feeling relieved. She kept her hand on her chest and wiped her sweat adorned forehead by her other hand.

It was dd. Dd looked at avni confused.

Dd: bhabhi aap yaha kya kar rahi he?

Avni: vo vo me galti se yaha aa gayi.

Dd: galti se I mean aap ko kaha jaana tha?

Avni: vo aunty ji ki dawayi khatam ho gayi thi to bas wahi lene ke liye aayi thi aur galti se ish address par pohoch gayi.

Dd: don't worry aaiye bethiye me aapko ghar chod deta hu.

She nodded and sat on a passenger seat dd took driver seat. Other constable were sitting behind and they drove from there.

Dd: me sirji ko phone karke bata deta hu. Vo aapke liye pareshan ho rahe honge.

Avni nodded but deep down she was scared of how neil would react.

Dd dialed Neil's number and within a minute he received the call.

Dd: hello sir ji.

Neil: haa dd bolo kuch kaam tha?

Dd: haa vo bhabhi mere saath he bas yahi batane ke liye mene phone kiya tha.

Neil: kya? Avni tumhare saath he? Par kese I mean dd please avni ko phone do.

Dd: ji sir.

Dd handover his phone to avni. Avni took it and her heart started beating loudly.

Avni: he hello.

She stammered while neil breathed a sigh of relief hearing her voice.

Neil: avni what is this? Kaha chali gayi thi tum, pata he me kitna pareshan tha aur bata kar bhi nahi gayi mujhe.

Avni: am sorry neil vo kuch zaroori kaam tha isliye.

Neil: kya zaroori kaam tha? Aur dd tumhe kaha mila?

Avni: neil me ghar aa jaun phir baat karte hai please.

Neil: okay. Sambhal kar aana. Bye.

Avni: bye.

They hung up the call. Avni gave phone to dd and smiled at him.

Avni: thank you bhaiya agar aaj aap nahi milte to pata nahi kya hota.

Dd: please bhabhi thank you mat boliye aur aap mujhe dd bula sakti he, mujhe accha lagega.

Avni smiled at him and they all kept on talking including other constable that were sitting behind until they reached Khanna mantion.

In mid way avni purchased medicines from medical store.

At Khanna mantion,

He was still restless and worried pacing to and fro. Until he would see avni he would not sit quiet. Bebe shook her head looking at neil.

Bebe: Neil puttar Beth jaa bola na usne vo aa jayegi aur dd bhi he uske saath to tension ki baat nahi he.

Neil looked at her.

Neil: I know bebe but jab tak me usse apni aakhon se dekh nahi leta tab tak mujhe chain nahi aayega. Ese kese bina bataye chali gayi thik se kisi ko jaanti bhi nahi he vo yaha.

Juhi looked at him.

Juhi: ( in mind) aaj to tu gayi juhi, agar avni ne bata diya ke tune vo address diya tha toh, nahi nahi please bhagvan ji bacha lena mujhe aaj.

She was sweating literally. Shweta looked at her and frowned she nudged her by her elbow. Juhi looked at shweta while she raised her brows asking what happened. Juhi nodded her hand in no looking down.

Neil casually looked at the door and saw avni entering inside with dd. He smiled widely and ran towards her.

Dd looked at him and smiled.

He engulfed her in tight hug burying his nose in her hair. Avni closed her eyes wrapping her hands around his torso. He kissed her temple and cheek. Avni opened her eyes and saw bebe, shweta and juhi looking at them.

She kept on looking at juhi with serious face still in hug. Juhi looked down fidgeting her fingers.

Neil broke the hug and cupped her face.

Neil: kaha chali gayi thi tum huh, pata he me kitna dar gaya tha?

Avni looked at juhi then looked down.

Avni: mujhe kuch saaman chahiye tha bas vo hi lene gayi thi.

Neil: haa par

He was interrupted by dd.

Dd: sir me chalta hu kuch kaam he.

Neil put his hand on his shoulder and smiled genuinely at him.

Neil: thank you dd avni ko sahi Salamat ghar pohchane ke liye.

Avni: haa dd thank you so much.

Dd: please sir, bhabhi thank you mat boliye ye to mera farz tha ab me chalta hu.

Neil nodded and dd went from there. Bebe came to avni and cupped her face with her one hand.

Bebe: bhagvan ka lakh lakh shukar he tu aa gayi, pata he ham sab kitne pareshan the aur khas karke tera ye pati neil.

Avni looked at neil but he looked away.
Juhi and shweta were standing on their places quietly.

Neil held her hand and took her to their room. Juhi and shweta looked at each other and went from there. Neil left her hand when they reached their room and turned around back facing her.

Neil: kaha chali gayi thi bina bataye huh.

Avni: vo bataya na kuch personal saaman lena tha to bas.

He turned towards her and looked at the small bag that she was holding.

Neil: haa par bata kar to jaana chahiye na chalo mujhe nahi par kam se kam bebe ya juhi ko bata deti par nahi unko bhi nahi bataya.

Avni looked at him confused.

Avni: ( in mind) juhi ne Neil ko nahi bataya ke me medicines lene jaa rahi hu? Matlab ye sab uska plan tha.

Avni Sighed and looked at neil. She was about to say something but got interrupted by his phone ring. Neil took out his phone from his pocket and picked up the call.

Neil: haa dd bolo.

Dd: sorry to disturb you sir but commissioner sir aapse milna chahte he vo thodi der me police station aa rahe he.

Neil: thik he me aata hu.

Dd: okay sir.

They cut the call. Neil looked at avni.

Neil: mujhe police station jaana padega kuch kaam he baad me baat karenge.

He walked till door when avni called him.

Avni: neil tumne khana khaya?

Neil: ( without turning) bhuk nahi he.

Saying this he went from there without sparing her a glance. Avni stood there biting her lips. Neil reached downstairs and bumped into bebe. He gave her a small smile and about to go but bebe holds his arm stopping him.

Bebe: oye khabar daar jo meri bahu ko daanta to.

Neil chuckled.

Neil: me chahkar bhi uspe gussa nahi kar sakta.

Bebe smiled.

Neil: bebe please avni ko khana khila dijiye ga varna uski tabiyat kharab ho jayegi. Already 2 baj chuke he.

Bebe: tu chinta mat kar me khila dungi aur haa tu bhi kuch kha lena.

Neil: ji bebe.

Neil went from there and bebe went to kitchen. After sometime she came out with a plate that was filled with delicious food.

Bebe stood outside of their room and saw avni sitting on a couch. Avni didn't notice her till now. Bebe entered inside their room and sat beside avni quietly. Feeling the presence of someone avni looked towards her right and saw bebe.

Avni: am sorry bebe mera dhyan pata nahi kaha tha. Aap oopar kyun aayi mujhe bula liya hota me niche aa jaati.

Bebe: arey to kya hua ab me apni beti se milne bhi nahi aa sakti.

Avni smiled.

Avni: nahi bebe esi Koyi baat nahi he.

Bebe : accha ab baatein baad me karenge pehle khana Khale bhuk lagi hogi na.

Avni: nahi bebe mujhe bhuk nahi he.

Bebe: chup kar tere pati ka order he ye to complete to karna padega.

Avni looked down thinking about neil. Bebe pulled her chin up.

Bebe: neil ne kuch kaha kya? Tu bata to sahi dekhna me uski kese khabar leti hu.

Avni: nahi bebe vo bas naaraz he mujhse I know mujhe bina bataye nahi jaana chahiye tha par

Bebe: aaj itne saalo baad mene neil ko ese rote huye dekha. Bachpan me rota tha par vo alag baat thi. Aaj mene uski aakhon me dekha tujhe khone ka dar. Itna pareshan mene aaj tak nahi dekha usse.

Avni's eyes filled with tears bebe caressed her face with her motherly love.

Bebe: itna pyaar karta he vo tujhse. Kabhi bhi uska saath mat chodna. Tu uske zindagi ke ek ehem hissa ban chuki he.

Avni: kabhi nahi bebe akhir Neil ke alava mera he hi kon.

Bebe: accha to ham kuch nahi lagte?

Avni: nahi bebe esi baat nahi he aap sab to mere jeene ki wajah ban gaye ho.

Bebe patted her head and took a morsel in her hand, she placed it near her lips and avni ate it looking at bebe with her welled up eyes. Bebe forcefully fed her by her hands until she heard a burp from her mouth. Bebe chuckled and left the room after she finished feeding her. While avni again got engrossed in some thoughts.

Other side,

Neil reached police station and met with comisnor sir. They discussed about something related to case. After comisnor went from there neil went to his cabin and called dd inside.

Dd came there and saluted neil.

Neil: dd avni kaha mili tumhe?

Dd: xyz place par sir aur mene jab unhe pucha ki vo vaha kese pohchi to kaha ki vi maata ji ( shweta) ke liye dawayi lene aayi thi.

Neil frowned upon hearing this. He said dd to go and dd left from there.

Neil placed his both hands on table.

Neil: avni mom ki dawayi lene gayi thi to usne esa kyun kaha ki vo apni personal chize lene gayi thi. Kahi ye sab mom ne to nahi kiya?
