The intensity of his stare made her heart flutter with unexplainable emotions. She squirmed her body nervously under his gaze and his arm gripped her waist firmly in reflex. Everything got slipped from their mind except them.

Avni cleared her throat trying to distract neil from making her feel excitable,giddy and what not, such was the passion his gaze held. His fingers glided up from waist to her arm and traced her skin sensually making her breath hitched.

When his fingers made contact with the sensitive area of her neck, she couldn't take it anymore and moaned his name awakening the beast inside of him. He didn't hold long to take possession of her lips and kissed her ferociously making her toes curled in pleasure.

After what seemed like long they broke apart breathing heavily. Neil hid his face in her neck placing butterfly kisses there. Avni giggled and pulled his face away holding his hair. His eyes were heavy with desire that made avni shy.

Avni: we should go downstairs, everyone must be waiting for us

She said softly rubbing his chest to calm his speedy heartbeat. He groaned but nodded his head. Neil changed his clothes and wore his uniform. Avni watching him sighing contentedly. He looked more handsome in his uniform that everytime he took her breath away by his mere look. Neil forwarded his hand and she placed her palm on his smiling. Her small and petite hand fit perfectly in his big and strong one. Both walked down hand in hand with a sweet smile plastered on their faces.

Elders were having their breakfast whilst the young generation was seated in living room. They ducked their head as soon as their gaze landed on neil. All having the fear of his wrath for the stunt they had pulled yesterday. Although it was Karan's idea to have the drink but they all wanted to share the experience which Karan had introduced to them. Neil watched them with his jaw clenched. His mind replayed the scene he witnessed in the morning.

Flashback

Neil came to the kitchen for preparing coffee but his steps halted watching karan and payal standing there. He was about to go in there but them speaking about avni halted his moves, his forehead creased.

Payal: may your soul rest in peace karan bhai, neil bhai won't be leaving you for that spiked drink.

She giggled teasing him. Neil's eyes widened hearing that piece of information. He fisted his hand knowing his not so little cousin had been drinking.

Karan: shut up yaar payal, here I am in so much tension and you! Leave it. Its waste of talking to you.

Karan took hold of his coffe mug and strode off from kitchen. Neil quickly hid himself and watched them going away while bickering with each other. He took a deep breath and thought to make a coffee first while he would deal with them later.

Flashback ends

Neil came out of his trance hearing his mother's voice.

Shweta: neil avni come on have breakfast with us

They nodded. Neil signalled avni to go, she nodded and went to the dining table. Neil approached his cousins with his intimidating steps making their heart burst out of fear. Karan was literally sweating watching him through corner of his eyes.

Neil stood near a couch where karan was seated. Karan immediately stood up, trying to bring a smile on his face but failed miserably in front of Neil's blazing eyes. With both hands in pockets Neil asked the question that karan had been dreaded of.

Neil: since when you are drinking?

Karan looked up horrified though he was scared of facing him but he didn't think he would come to know about it.

Neil: I am asking something, since when you are drinking?

His voice rose making everybody aware about the commotion that was going on. Prakash and others came near them hearing his loud voice. Karan gulped lowering his eyes.

Prakash: Neil what happened son?

Neil: karan has spiked the drink yesterday which avni consumed accidentally. And don't try to lie I have heard you and payal speaking about it in the morning

From his face it looked like karan was in a verge of crying. Avni held Neil's arm sneakily trying to calm his temper but he didn't let it affect. He just spared her a glance and again looked at karan waiting for his answer.

Karan: bh bhai I I just

Neil: I just what? Who gave you the consent to sink it? Me? Dad? bebe? Or uncle?

Karan shook his head not able to look at them.

Neil: I am so disappointed with you. What if you ended up getting addicted to alcohol? Do you want to be drunkard?

Karan shook his head.

Karan: I I am sorry bhai I just. Dad used to drink often and watching him I fantasised to taste it once so when dad had gone out of the country for a month, I tried alcohol for the first time without coming to anyone's notice. From then I did it everytime whenever dad used to be out of home and yesterday's occasion of party thrilled me to consume the alcohol. I knew you would never allow to serve it in a party so I sneakily mixed alcohol with juice. But in the last moment I got a call and after that I forgot to take the drink with me and bhabhi had it accidentally. I am sorry bhabhi because of me you were in that condition. I am really sorry.

He confessed guilt-ridden. Avni smiled softly and shook her head giving her silent answer to his apology. Neil nodded grasping everything and shoot another question.

Neil: but from where did you get the alcohol?

Karan: vo day before yesterday dad and prakash uncle were drinking and I saw the cabinet which was full of beers so I

He said nervously rubbing the back of his neck. Whilst prakash widened his eyes feeling Neil's eyes on him. Everybody suppressed their laughter watching the scenario. Neil was strictly against the alcohol and many a times he had caught prakash, he even warned him but alas old habits are hard to die.

Neil: dad?

Prakash: arey puttar vo toh bas ese hi thodi timepass ke liye

Neil shook his head hearing his excuses.

Neil: ( to karan ) fine I am leaving you right now but don't forget I have my eyes on you all the time and to all of you ( his other cousins ) this is my last warning if I ever come to know that you all had your eyes on alcohol I swear the consequences will be bad. And dad aap ko toh mai baad mein dekhta hu

He said to a smiling prakash whose face turned into a horrific one in an instant. Everybody burst into fist of laughter watching prakash pleading to neil through eyes.

Bebe: okay everybody now listen we have to get ready fast otherwise we will  miss our flight and avni sorry beta I am informing you now at the end moment but I want you to come with us to amritsar.

Neil: KYA?

neil was the first one to react which was obvious out of shock. Avni bit her lips holding her smile which was threatening to come.

Bebe: yes yesterday we made this plan. It's been so long I haven't got chance to visit amritsar but now I want to go there with my whole family.

Neil: but bebe you didn't inform me this before

Bebe: accha? Neil we are going to amritsar today, we have a flight in an hour and I am taking avni with me no matter what circumstances you create. Is that ok?

She mocked neil challenging him to deny her decision. Everyone laughed and teased avni watching Neil's desperation. Avni was the centre of attention for all the teasing neil was making her go through.

Neil: bebe this is not fair you know I can't take leave and top of that you all are going how will I live here alone. So its final avni is not going anywhere.

Bebe: what are you? A baby whose diaper has to be changed by every hour?

Karan: whoa! Burned!

Karan commented and clapped making neil glared at him hard and others laughed even more enjoying their bickering.

Neil looked at avni who was already in the team of bebe and was laughing freely. Their gaze collided and neil pleaded her making puppy face. Bebe saw this and immediately interrupted.

Bebe: okay avni go pack your bags we have very less time I don't want to miss the flight. come on hurry up all of you.

They started preparing for the trip whilst the duo - avni and neil kept looking at each other. Neil trying to stop her and she being helpless only gazed at him. Both unwilling to be apart of each other.

I am really sorry for the late update. I thought I will start updating regularly after Ramadan but what happened was beyond my imagination. I lost my mom, she passed away. It's been a month and 8 days of her departure. It still feels unreal. This place, your love and everyone's support has given me immense strength to cope up with this phase. I kept getting messages to update my stories and that has boost my confidence to write for you all. I will try my best to update my every book. Keep my mom in your prayers. And please be safe and take care of yourself and family.
