This is exactly what Neil thought while looking at her. His better half. His heartbeat and lifeline. The thought of living without her now feels utterly awful and suffocating. At that moment his heart skipped a beat when he realized he was nothing without her. People around them were acknowledging the couple, blessing them with pure ecstasy and admiring their love. Neil had his eyes stuck only on his lady love but Avni was unaware of his mind figuring. His arm approached to her waist and he encircled it around her petite figure pulling her closer.

Avni gasped moving her gaze to him and looked at him with her innocence filled orbs. He pinned her locks and winked at her giving his signature charming smile. Her heart melted boring her eyes into him and she felt like to hide her face to escape his feverish gaze. Their sweet yet small moment broke when some guests gathered near them. Other family members were busy in meeting with other guests.

Mrs.khan: Mashahallah You both look so good together. May Allah save you from the eyes of evil. Ameen.

Neil: ameen. Thank you zareena aunty for coming. How are you.

Mrs.khan: alhamdulillah I am fine. And you are avni right?

She said last line looking at avni. Avni's lips curved in an enchanting smile making the lady smile automatically in return.

Avni: ji. Assalamu alaikum.

Mrs.khan got surprised hearing her greeting in the most sweetest voice.

Mrs.khan: ( still surprisingly) walaikum assalam.

Neil looked at them and smiled knowing mrs.khan's confusion.

Neil: zareena aunty don't be confused hamari begum bhi Allah ki blessing hai just like you. She is mrs avni ashish haider Neil Khanna.

Neil said placing his arm on avni's shoulder. Mrs.khan got surprised then smiled widely.

Mrs.khan: mashahallah mashahallah. I am very happy meeting you beta. May Allah shower his all the blessings and happiness on you both. Neil spoil her with your love and avni never let him be away from you.

Neil and avni smiled widely hearing her sweet words and nodded looking at each other. Mrs.khan went from there and neil smirked pulling avni closer again by her waist.

Neil: see even zareena aunty said me to spoil you with my love. Shall I start working on it?

He nuzzled his nose against her ear making her eyes widened. She put her palm on his chest while her cheeks painted with red hue making neil ware of his successful attempt to make his wifey blushed.

Avni: neil behave. Everyone is watching us. We are not alone here.

Neil: so come with me as I am bored now standing here since long. Let me spend my time with my beautiful wife who is looking drop dead gorgeous today and not to forget the fact that I am the one who had draped this saari on you. So chale tum aur mai kahi akele.

She was short of words hearing his not so decent words. She couldn't take it anymore and went from there blushing profusely before neil could hold her. Neil chuckled and shook his head watching her going all blushy with his talks.

Avni was passing by payal but didn't notice her as she was busy in her hubby's thoughts. Payal looked at her and held avni's arm halting her steps.

Payal: bhabhi kaha ja rahi hai aap?

Avni: vo paa paani haa paani peene jaa rahi thi bas.

She fumbled not finding any particular reason at first because she had been lost somewhere.

Payal: oh here is the juice. Want to have it?

Avni: yeah please

Payal: okay

Payal brought a glass of juice for avni and both sipped while talking and laughing.

Payal: do you know your husband is really kanjoos ( stingy )

Payal made faces saying that and avni chuckled.

Avni: Why what he did?

Payal: We were asking him to give us money just like the ritual and he only gave us thousand rupees. How kanjoos.

Avni started laughing clutching her stomach. Payal frowned watching her. Avni was still laughing continuously making payal scared.

Payal: bhabhi aap thik hai na?

Avni: haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa mujhe kya hua hai. I am perphectly phine.

She said in a bit tipsy voice. Payal somewhat understood the matter now but she didn't want to think that because if Neil or other family members would come to know about it then they would definitely not leave them.

Payal: bhabhi aa aap yahi rukiye mai bas abhi aayi please kahi mat jaana okay? Mai bas abhi aayi.

Avni: okay boss

She said with closed eyes and saluted her trying to stand properly but felt difficult to stand still. Payal went to karan and whispered something in his ear. Karan got shocked and looked at avni who was trying very hard to been on her position and was stumbling due to the effects of the drink. She was behind the pillar so nobody had seen her yet.

Karan: gosh bhabhi ne vo drink pee liya ab kya hoga

Payal: Maine pehle hi mana kiya tha don't do this, now see. Bhabhi had that spiked drink and if neil bhai comes to know that you had mixed alcohol in that then he will not leave you karan.

Karan: payal don't scare me yaar and help me please

They turned around to look avni but she wasn't there leaving them shocked. They started searching for her going into different directions. But she was in her husband's arms. When Neil didn't find anywhere near him he started searching her and found her at last near the staircase.

Neil: avni what are you doing here?

She turned facing him and smiled widely showing her 32 teeth in display.

Avni: aww neilu tum aa gaye

Neil looked at her in amusement hearing her and wrapped his arm around her waist when he saw her stumbling.

Neil: avni are you okay?

Avni: are you okay tillu

She said with her half closed eyes. Neil widened his eyes hearing her. She chuckled and pushed him, started moving from there. Neil came into his senses and followed her immediately.

Avni while stumbling and mumbling reached to sweta who was attending some guest in the hall. Shweta held her arm and looked shocked, confused watching her in this state. Avni was dizzy so she didn't notice her surroundings.

Neil came there hurriedly and held avni making her head rest on his chest. Avni clinged to him immediately feeling his warmth. Shweta asked Neil through her raised eyes about avni. Neil shook his head in denial.

Shweta came near avni and caressed her hair. Feeling someone's touch avni opened her eyes with difficulty albeit feeling dizzy and saw shweta. She squealed in happiness and hugged her tightly leaving Neil's embrace.

Avni: you are so sweet mummy ji I love you

She kissed her cheek and again hugged shweta smiling constantly. Neil Sighed and stroked his forehead not knowing who caused this to her. Neil tried taking avni in his arms but she wasn't leaving shweta.

Bebe and prakash chuckled watching her antics but were concerned also for her. Karan was tensed by all this. He didn't want to be a punching bag of neil not then at least.

Neil: mom help me to take her in our room please

Shweta: haa beta chal

They took her to their room and bebe and prakash handled everything there. Avni was continuously mumbling some or other things. Juhi looked at them and Sighed. She turned around and bumped into someone. He was Vikram Neil's cousin. Who had been came in the morning.

Vikram: uhm hii

Juhi: hi

She went from there reciprocating his greeting and Vikram looked on her retreating figure.
