"Louis you're going to be late" Liam warned, poking his head round his little brother's bedroom door to see that his brother was still in bed "You're going to make us late again" he added

"Don't care" Louis mumbled

"You've got school, you need to learn" Liam chuckled, walking in to Louis' bedroom

"Don't" Louis argued

"Louis, c'mon" Liam told him softly, pulling at Louis' blankets and making the smaller boy squirm

"No" He pleaded "Let me sleep" he whined

"You need to get dressed" Liam stated, arms folded

"I don't have any clothes" Louis lied

Liam sighed, walking over to Louis' wardrobe. He pulled out various outfits for Louis wear "White shirt or blue shirt?" Liam asked

"None" Louis huffed, reaching for his blanket which Liam had pulled away from him

"Louis" Liam said, more seriously "Which shirt are you wearing?"

"I want the one that you're wearing" Louis told him, eyeing Liam's red adidas T-shirt

"Are you serious?" Liam questioned, eyebrows raised in amusement

"Yes" Louis grinned "Give me it and I'll get up" he promised

Liam rolled his eyes, pulling his T-shirt over his head and throwing it to Louis who was smiling

"Get up, we have to leave in ten minutes" Liam told him

"Then I have nine more minutes to sleep" Louis answered, burying his head back into his duvet

"If you get up now, I'll stop at the café on the way to school" Liam offered, folding his arms across his bare chest "And I'll even buy you a doughnut"

"You will?" Louis said happily, looking up

"Yes I will" Liam promised

"Give me a second" Louis muttered, sitting up and rubbing his eyes

"Good lad" Liam smiled, leaving his room to go and find another shirt

Liam lived up to his deal and drove to the cafe before school to buy Louis a doughnut before their classes started which made the boy les moody and certainly less angry at Liam for dragging him out of bed at such an ungodly hour

But his mood was quickly dampened when he couldn't find his best friend waiting for him at the school gates

"See you at home okay?" Liam asked, wanting to make sure Louis was okay before joining his friend

"Yeah" Louis agreed

"You've got your key? I might be back late" Liam told him

"What? Why?" Louis asked

"Got things to do" Liam stated

"What things?" Louis questioned

"I'm going to Harry's" Liam told him "Why? Do you want to come?" he asked, his tone teasing

"No!" Louis said quickly, blushing slightly at Liam's words

"Alright, well if you've got your key then you should be fine" Liam stated "Ring me when you're home okay, so I know you're safe"

"M'not a baby" Louis muttered, rolling his eyes

"Still my baby" Liam told him

"Okay, I'll ring" Louis said softly "See you later Li"

Zayn was ill today

So naturally it was a bad day for Louis

Louis, though generally liked throughout the school, was only friends with Zayn which made days without him especially difficult

Sure he had a friend here and there, but nobody that he would like to sit with at lunch or speak to about his weekends

So from nowhere, Liam and his friends joined Louis at his empty table

Liam sat across from his, giving his baby brother a large smile before placing his bag down

"Lonely?" Niall spoke up, sitting next to Liam

"Zayn's ill" Louis told him with a pout

"Aw" Niall cooed "Do you miss your boyfriend" he teased

"He's not my boyfriend" Louis stated

"Good" Liam huffed "No relationships until you're 25 or something" he muttered

"Relax Liam" Niall said, rolling his eyes "No need to be so protective all the time"

Louis gave Liam a small smirk almost as if to say 'fuck you, I have Niall's permission'

"Don't encourage him Niall" Liam stated "He's already a rebel"

"Oooh what did you do? Bunk off school?" Niall asked, both intrigued and excited

"Didn't do anything" Louis said "Liam thinks having a sleep in is against the law or some shit"

"Really Liam? A sleep in?" Niall questioned "Do you find pleasure in being so dull?"

"Didn't want to be late" Liam shrugged

"No wonder he hates you" Niall scoffed

"Hey! Leave him alone" Louis said, quick to defend Liam

Niall held up his hands in defense "I'm just saying, anyone who doesn't enjoy a good sleep in deserves to be a little hated"

Harry came over after a couple of seconds "Why aren't we at our table?" he asked, sitting down next to Louis "Hey Lou" he smiled

"Hi" Louis replied, looking away almost instantly

"Thought we'd keep my little hedgehog company" Niall answered and Louis pulled a face at the nickname

"Oh okay" Harry answered, looking back at Louis "Is that Liam's?" he asked, touching Louis' waist softly to signify that he was talking about the shirt

"How did you know?" Louis questioned

"I recognise it" Harry told him with a shrug "And it's way too big for you"

"It's not" Louis argued "We're almost the same size"

The sleeves of the shirt were rolled up and the shirt was near to drowning Louis. It reached almost mid thigh and it most definitely smelled like Liam

Harry gave him a 'you've got to be kidding me' look and Louis pouted

"Don't kid yourself Louis" said Niall from across the table "You're tiny" Niall pinched together his fingers for effect

"Shut up" Louis whined, slapping Niall's hand

"He's just stating the facts Lou" Liam stated, now stood next to him

"Well, just for that, I'm keeping this" Louis huffed, hugging the T-shirt against him body

"Hey! I liked that one" Liam said in shock

"Mine now" Louis teased

"Mean" Liam stated, rolling his eyes at Louis' generally cheeky behaviour

"It suites him better" Harry cut in

Louis' cheeks tinted slightly and Harry gave him a lopsided smile

"Wow thanks Harry" Liam said "Great to know who's friend you are"

"He's just stating the fact Liam" Louis quoted Liam's previous words and Liam chuckled quietly

"Okay, keep it" he said "But you're lending me your speakers for next Friday"

"What's next Friday?" Louis asked

"I'm having a party!" Niall exclaimed "You didn't tell him?" Niall asked Liam

"Why didn't you tell me?" Louis asked Liam with a pout

"I forgot" Liam said quickly

"You're coming right?" Niall asked Louis "Please tell me that you're coming and that I can use your speakers"

"Yeah sure whatever" Louis said dismissively "The real question is why are you having a party? Your birthday's in September"

"It's cute that you know that" Niall said with a grin "But, I have a free house, what better way to celebrate than to party?"

"Fair enough" Louis replied with a shrug "Yeah I'll come"

Niall grinned widely "So it's settled then" he said "Your speakers, my house and a shit load of beer"

"Oh and bring Zayn" Harry added in "The kid's pretty cool"

Louis nodded, slightly confused but totally up for bringing Zayn along to the part "Yeah alright" he answered
