SUMMARY :

The Black family is one of the most prestigious pureblood families there is in the wizarding world. Almost everyone knew about the Black family and what they had for breakfast every morning. The amount of coverage that family received was ridiculous. So when it came to light that one of the many Black daughters had fallen pregnant with a muggle's child, it was the first page of the Daily Prophet. Many of the sacred twenty-eight families had expressed their condolences to Druella and Cygnus Black once they saw the news, losing two daughters to the others had to just be traumatizing. The two parents had shunned away yet another daughter,  burning off her delicately painted face on their family tree.  From that moment forth, no one in the Black family knew of an Esther Black.

When Elara Black had stepped onto Hogwarts school groups, she became an immediate target to the violent nature of purists and fearful students. Her whole life consisted of her having to defend her last name and she was tired of it. Of having someone pull her hair in the hallways. Of a Slytherin purposely pushing her out of the way and onto the ground. Of others whispering when she walked by. Elara just wanted to breathe and forget that she was a Black. And that only happened when she was around a certain redheaded Weasley.

• Her name is pronounced like AH-LAR-AH

• Elara is a Ravenclaw & a halfblood. She's also in her 4th year when this story is taking place

• ^ Her Father is a muggle & since her Mother is a pureblood and from the Black family, they were shunned away from the family. Esther is a sister of Narcissa, Bellatrix, & Andromeda so that makes the whole situation worse

• ^^ She was a Slytherin during her years at Hogwarts & played on their quidditch team but that was short lived because her Mother didn't like that very much so she made her quit

• ^^^ Esther hadn't left the Black family until a couple of years after Andromeda did. She had the same reasons & had wanted to for a while & didn't have the courage until she had fallen pregnant with Elara. That gave her an extra boost to leave. She didn't want her daughter to grow up in the same environment she did.

• Instead of taking her husbands last name, Esther kept her last name. When Elara was born, the both of them agreed for her to take Esther's maiden name due to (1) Esther had been the one to carry her to full term + give birth & (2) she didn't want to keep that side of her hidden. Elara should know where her Mother was from & so she could put a new meaning to the last name Black.

• Elara is a Legilimen & doesn't need a wand to perform it. She's also a Occlumen, which is someone who can block other Legilimens from reading their mind.

• ^ Due to this ability, Dumbledore recruits her to the Order when she was really young. Her Father was extremely against it because he knew what Dumbledore's actual intentions were but Esther was adamant on her joining so she can prove herself & her family. Glenn knew that this was a fucked up way to think but it was really up to Elara, which she wanted to do during that moment.

• ^^ 100% regrets it because of how tired and drained she is.

• Elara feels like she has to change the perspective of the Black name which is why she allowed Dumbledore and others to use her.  No one else knows about her ability except her parents & some selected school staff

• Ginny & Elara met through Luna during El's 2nd year.  Elara & Luna are pretty close so it was natural for them to meet the new people have met

• ^ Elara's ability is a bit hard for her to turn off so she's overstimulated sometimes but when she met Ginny,  everything muffled out and it became quiet for once.  She didn't know why it was all calm with her but she wasn't complaining.  Due to this,  she found herself drifting closer to Ginny.

• ^^ Ginny inspired Elara to start up quidditch.  She earned the Keeper position for Ravenclaws team.  When the two found out,  they spent all night embracing each other & celebrating with some Honeydukes & Butterbeer at Hogsmeade.

• ^^^ El sort of feels like she has to pay Ginny pay for all that she has done for her,  even tho she doesn't really know about Elara's ability & what's going on in her life.

• When the Triwizard Tournament was announced to be held at Hogwarts,  Elara felt sick to her stomach.  She knew that something bad was going to happen.  She decided not to confine in Dumbledore with her feeling and instead told Ginny about how uneasy she felt.  Elara wanted to figure out what was going on on her own rather than have Dumbledore force her to do it & feel awful while doing.  She wants to do because she wanted to.

• ^ Dumbledore does have Elara come and stand close enough to Harry so she could find out if he did in fact put his name in the goblet of fire.  He had her hide somewhere in the room where the champions were being held.  She already knew Harry Potter was innocent due to his very loud thinking.  Instead,  she was digging in the other minds of the people there trying to get a crumb of evidence that someone had done it.  When she got to Professor Moody,  she wasn't able to read his mind at all.  This shook her to her core & he immediately became number 1 on her list.

• El works hard to figure out what the first task is so she could have a head start & she finds out through Harry's very loud thinking (Honestly,  does this boy know just how loud he is?).  She begins to try to figure out the remaining two tasks & tries to nudge Harry in the right direction.

• ^ Elara wasn't there for the first task so she made sure to make it to the second one.  She was lowkey freaking out about Harry due to the fact that she could still hear his thoughts.  She was grabbing onto Ginny the whole time and just dismissed it as her being cold and Ginny being warmer due to the layers she wore.  When Harry broke the surface,  Elara let out a big sigh of relief and aided in helping Harry & Ron out of the water.  Ginny is a bit skeptical about why El was so eager to help Harry but brushes it off & decides to deal with it later.

• ^^ When she does confront her about it tho,  Elara is a bit hesitant to tell her about what she was doing and what was going on.  She doesn't want to lose Ginny or have her use her like others do so when she tells Ginny,  her voice is all shaky and she gets teary eyed.  Ginny does understand and just embraces Elara,  reassuring her that what she just said doesn't change the fact that they're still friends & that she'll never use her.

• ^^^ During this time,  Ginny actively helps her try to figure out who put Harry's name in the goblet of fire & the next task.  They get closer due to this & this is where they both start to develop or realize that they have more than just platonic feelings for each other.

• When the last task rolls around,  Elara has this massive headache that she can't shake off.  Her whole body literally aches & she doesn't know why.  She's never experienced this before so she's extremely confused as to why she feels this way.  Elara doesn't realize what it is until Harry pops back up with a limp Cedric in his grasp after completing the third task.  She lets out an ear piercing scream as everyone else cheers,  Ginny holds onto her as El's knees buckled underneath her.  The feeling went away right as she saw Cedrics dead body.  Like she had a death sense.

• ^ Dumbledore calls her into his office & starts screaming at her. Her Mother is there,  also screaming.  They want to know what she knows & why she didn't tell any of them sooner.  She interrupts them to yell at them about how used she felt & how she felt like she had to be this savior that she didn't even want to be.  She scolds her Mom for treating her more like a soldier than a daughter and Dumbledore more as a weapon than a child.

• ^^ She decides to stay with the Weasley's for the summer due to her not wanting to spend any time with her Mother,  especially after their screaming match.  This deepens Ginny & Elara's bond.

• You can decide to keep it going until the last book if you want but Ginny & El will get together!  They're soulmates man.  You can also extend on anything else you want as well but don't change too much.
