Rex smiled as he took a bite of the meal Mei cooked. The two had befriended each other and the young man enjoyed tasting her cook. Not really a pleasure since she sucked at first but she got better. 

Deep in his work at his workshop after a long school day, the young man used a welding rod to weld two pieces of metal, enjoying the beats of the tonal architecture he used. 

"Rex-kun?" Hearing Mei's voice, the tonal architect raised his goggles and turned around to look at Mei. "Did you eat yet?" 

"yes," 

Only to meet with a pout as Mei looked at him. 

"MREs are not meals," She said as she entered the workshop. "You finished it?" Mei asked looking at the cube. 

"not yet, something's missing," Rex said as he looked at the cube. 

"What do you think it is?" Mei asked as she put on a pair of glasses before cutely (not that he would say it out loud) furrowing her brows as she leaned in over his shoulder. 

"Not sure, they are making the right sounds but I can't pinpoint what's missing," Rex said as he lowered the cube. 

"Well, if you're not busy, you can join me for lunch," 

"Lunch? I think you mean dinner," Rex said, only to feel his cheek being poked. 

"You promised you'll sleep in time," Mei said, a pout on her face as she pressed her finger on his cheek. 

"I did, but you know how I can be," Rex said as he looked at her and stood up, stretching a bit and popping some bones in place. 

"Well, no working today, you will be resting," Mei said with a pout.

"I have-"

A cold glare silenced him as Mei, with tears in her eyes, looked at him. 

"Fine," He said with a sigh. 

"Come on, I cooked something for us!" Before he can react, the young Crozzo tonal architect found himself dragged away by his friend, passing by some maids.

Elysia smiled as she took a look at the photo of her boyfriend on her phone during a break from their training. The young woman had already planned to retire from being an oil and she finally had a chance. 

"Apocalypse," Their manager said, calling her. "You have a guest," 

Her fellow idols wondered what kind of person visited their fellow idol. After all, Elysia was not just beautiful, she was also kind, and gentle. 

"Who?" 

"You don't want to see me?" Reinhart asked as he leaned on the doorpost with his arms crossed. 

The co-workers were shocked at the smile Elysia had on her face as she walked ahead and smile at the young man. 

"Well, it's rare for you to visit," Elysia said with a grin. 

"I was in the area, so I figured why not visit." 

"You should have told me, I'm still a mess you know," Elysia said with a pout, poking his chest playfully. 

"It won't be a surprise then," he told her with a shrug.  "besides, it's payback for all the time you snuck in my office," 

The two were blissfully unaware of the glare Kallen gave them. 

"Uhm, El-senpai, who is he?" 

"Oh? I'm Elysia's fri-"

"Rein here is my boyfriend," Elysia said with a smile, hugging Reinhardt proudly. "Mine, " She said playfully but her eyes showed that she won't hesitate to fight them to keep him.

Ren smiled as he sat underneath a tree in ancient Shenzhou. The young man smiled at the peace of the beautiful country as he remembered the times long gone. 45,000 years have passed since they went in a cryogenic slumber and now, they were back for another round. 

"I knew I will find you here," The voice of his fellow MANTIS, HUA, said as she approached him in a regal set of clothes followed by her attendants. A guzheng in her hand as she sat beside him. 

"Hard to believe we used to hate each other's guts," Ren said with a smirk, remembering ho they almost always tried to kill each other during training. 

"You were a perverted asshole, always ogling the others," Fu Hua replied without missing a beat as he fingers danced on the strings and played a melody. "You still are," She said with a smile as she looked at him over her shoulder. 

"I won't deny that," He said with a smile as he looked at his son. A designer baby made with his genes and Hua's.

"Oh, I know," Hua said as she looked at the boy.

"He looks a lot like you," Ren said, referring to the eyes and nose of the boy. 

"Is that jealousy?" Hua asked with a smirk as she played her instrument. 

"Nope," His reply made the young woman smile as she stopped playing. "They call you Tai-Long, the great dragon," 

"I know, phoenix," he said with a smile. "Fried chicken... it fits since you have no breasts-" Ren stopped as a punch from Fu Hua hit his side. "But you have nice legs," He teased as he looked at her. 

"Insufferable perverted ingrate..." She whispered venomously with a faint red mist on her cheeks. 

"I am aware of that," he said with a smile as he looked at her. "I still remember the bunny suit you wore when you lost that bet," 

Remembering that time, a blush appeared on Fu Hua's face as she tried to strangle him as she pinned him to the ground. 

"Kya..." Ren said as he looked at her. "Harder Mommy..." 

As the two flirted with each other, Fu Hua's attendants shook their heads as they watched Fu Hua run after Ren around the meadows, true smiles on their faces.

Rex blinked as he looked at Kiana in his room. The young woman smiled at him and before he knew it, he was already being crushed by the girl in a hug. 

"I missed you!" Kiana said with a smile as she grinned at him. 

"Me too," Rex said with a smile as his cousin pouted at him as she shyly looked at them. Rex returned the hug as he smiled at her. A soft smile that made Kiana's heart skip a beat as she looked at it. 

"Who's that?" Kiana asked, not breaking the hug as she peeked over his shoulder. 

"Seele?" Rex asked his cousin who quickly hid from the. "She's my cousin, Uncle Jack adopted her and Shigure is her adoptive mother," 

"Really?" Kiana asked, feeling relieved but decided to keep an eye on Seele. "I'm your number one, okay?" 

"Huh?"
