Danger Around Every Corner
Today was the day of her mission. After the bidding for her help went for $30 million, Kira's mission help was sold to an anonymous bidder, who sent her files to kill a famous politician, who had supposedly attacked their gang.
Kira found herself leaning against her motorbike, waiting for the said politician. Being a celebrity, of course she had connections to some other famous people, including and coincidentally the said politician. They had agreed to meet up at an old stadium as Kira had an 'offer' to help him.
"Hello? Ms. Satomi?" As promised, the politician enters without any guards but Kira quickly catches on that he was wearing an earpiece. This could get complicated.
"Hiroshi." she greets the politician with a polite nod. "I get that we can start the deal?"
The politician nods, closing the door behind him. "Now, what was your offer?" Kira quickly formulates a plan on how to get rid of the transceiver without force. "But listen, many people have been requesting my help and I decided to help you so I don't want them to track this down. Please turn off any electronics on you right now."
The politician seemed hesitant and began to get suspicious but after Kira flashes him her signature smile, he calms down and removes his phone and transceiver, which Kira places to the side carefully. "Ok, so what's the deal?"
Kira pulls out her gun and points it at the politician. "Hands up, Hiroshi." The politician curses under his breath as he does so. "Satomi... What are you doing?" "I've been assigned the task to assassinate a little someone known as politician Hiroshi."
"Put down the gun, Satomi..." The politician reaches for the gun, but made a bad move that proved to be the end of his life as Kira pulled the trigger, shooting him in the arm. "Argh!" the politician drops to the floor, but luckily, the gun had a silencer so nobody came.
"Poor thing, no one can save you..." Kira smirks and climbs atop the man, straddling him as she pulls out a dagger, bringing it to the man's neck. "Sorry, Hiroshi, orders are orders."
The politician spits out curses as Kira sighs. "I'll make this quick." she nods and Hiroshi could do nothing but struggle under the girl's unnaturally strong grip. "I'm sorry."
The dagger comes down on his eye and blood squirts out, staining the pavement ground and their clothes all together. With a final stab and shoot, Kira stands, looking down at her work. With a flip of her hair, she places her weapons away, taking the transceiver and his phone off from the side.
"Thanks for the things," she laughs sadistically and hops on her bike. With a twist of the keys, she rams through the door, speeding past some hiding guards and ones that tried to stop her. From her mirror, she noticed other guards heading in for the politician, some chasing after her.
"Shit..." she mutters, accelerating the motor to full speed. She was now speeding lights and had taken police's attention now. "Crap!" she screeches, "I need to call Baba."
Turning a corner, she pulls out her phone, placing it to her ear. "Shit... Crap, crap."
The thief picked up the call and before he could say anything, Kira began barking orders at him. "Shit! Baba, I need your help! Meet me downtown of Tokyo, I need help! Cops are after me, shit... Hurry up!"
"Alright, 5 minutes, I'll see you." the thief doesn't question anything and hangs up, promising to meet up with her. "Alright, I at least need to throw them off..." she mutters to herself and swerves into an alley. Some police cars pass by, but not all as she had counted.
Pulling out a multi-purpose pocket knife, Kira releases the screwdriver and unscrews her plate number. Pulling it off, she takes out a new change of clothes from a secret door in her seat, she quickly changes into a leather jacket, a navy shirt and some black jeans with black combat boots. Letting her hair loose, she shakes her head around before playing with it and placing on a pair of sunglasses. She stuffs the old license plate in her pack, along with the pocket knife.
She pokes her head out, looking around before walking off, making sure none of the police officers lurking around find her. She rushes downtown and as promised, Baba was standing there, ready to help.
"Great, you're here. Listen, I need to clean up and I need you to hack into the town's cameras and clear me out of the tapes." the thief once more asks no questions and does as told, escorting Kira back to the hotel.
Once they arrived, Baba does what he was told and erases Kira out of the town's camera tapes. After doing so, helped Kira by cleaning up some cuts during her getaway. "Thanks for the help, dude." she grins thankfully as she bandages up her own arm.
"No problem, how did you get into that mess anyways?" "Auction mission sold to the highest bidder. Of course, after it, since it was a politician, I had police on my ass the whole time. They fired and missed me a couple of times." She hisses as she dabs antiseptic on a cut before placing more bandages on it.
"We're done. Thanks again, Baba." with a nod of gratitude, Kira thanks the thief before staggering to her room, dragging her right leg, which was wounded pretty badly.
That night, Kira was lying in bed, staring out the glass doors leading to her balcony and the day she had skipped over to Ota's plays in her mind. How she told him about how she drew and how she came to trust him...
How she told him her past, and how she fell in love with him.
But every now and then, Cole enters her mind amidst her memories of Ota, and guilt bubbles up within her. She didn't know anything. She didn't know her future, or about her life and how long she'll stay.
But she does know that her past has changed her for the better.
That love made her this way.
