First greeting
"Patient 10997 is just this way, Doctor." Doyoung had clarified, walking only a few steps in front, leading the protagonist towards the antagonist, so calmly.
"Patients aren't referred to as lottery numbers Doyoung, his names Jeongguk, so call him that." Marni scowled, looking up at the tall male, who had embarrassingly turned a scarlet red in the cheeks, and nervously looked away from the girls stern gaze.
"Sorry, Boss."
Not long after the words left his lips, he had stopped at a white door, with a small window that could only present half of the room when looking into. He grabbed a spare key from his pocket, passing it to the female beside him.
"This is now, officially your key." He softly placed the keys into her hands, before stepping away to allow Marni to open up to door. Do young sternly held his baton in one hand, protective, was an understatement.
Not long after Doyoung helped Marni slide the door to the patients room open, a boy, clad of white and a fringe that covered his eyes, a fringe that stopped many from analysing him, looked up towards the sound, as he sat crossed legged on his bed.
He ever so slowly, looked up at the guests, as he did, a waver of fear had shown on his face, Marni could slightly see his hands shaking on his lap.
Seeing the fear in the boys eyes as he looked to Doyoung, who was protectively holding a long batten, Marni dismissed him, and Doyoung had to comply, closing the door behind him.
"My names Min Marni, I'm a psychologist, I'm here as your guardian." She explained, trying to pull an innocent smile on her face as she could see the worry in the boys eyes.
She had no clue if this was the real him or not, but she needed to figure that out sooner or later.
The boy only continued to stare, before he ever so slowly relaxed his features and moved his lips from the thin line to speak.
"I-I'm Jeon Jeongguk. But...People used to just call me Jungkook or kookie." His voice was so timid, so innocent and so scared. No one would be able to believe he killed his own family with his bare hands.
"It's nice to meet you, Jungkook." Marni gradually took her time nearing the boy. She wasn't as nervous as she thought she'd be, maybe because she'd worked with someone like Jungkook before.
Marni moved her hand out for a shake, every patient she had, every patient she looked after, only shook her hand when they trusted her, and trust was a huge factor in looking after this boy.
A curious glint in his wide brown eyes wavered, Jungkook seemed to harden slightly, when realising he was acting like an open book. He seemed to suddenly but slowly build a protective wall around his delicate self.
But he nonetheless shook her hand, anyway.
As they shook, Marni couldn't help but blow a deep sigh of relief, and feel the extreme soft skin of his hand, but although could still feel distinct scars, she was although surprised, but not surprised. His grip was soft and delicate, much like his eyes.
Jungkook studied the woman in front of him. At least 1.65cm, which was including the boots on her feet. She wore her clothes although professionally, also stylish. Her white blouse was tucked into a tight skirt, which tightly showed her thin waist and definitely, interested Jungkook. Her hair was short, black, shoulder length, and the plenty of earrings on her ears enticed the boy.
Jungkook didn't think he'd seen such a pretty girl, especially one older then him, he could tell how old she was, she was oozing with maturity.
"You're very.... pretty." He stuttered, his cheeks had formed a blooming pink, his eyes nervously looking over her persona.
"You're acting like you haven't seen a girl before." A relaxed smile fell onto Marni's lips, which relaxed Jungkook himself.
"Well... You're not just a girl, you're a woman. I haven't seen a woman in years, none as pretty as you."
"Not as pretty as me hey? You're cheeky."
Jungkook's pale skin only turned a deeper tone of pink. This, was something Marni needed to keep in her memories, this was one of his sides, one of his personalities, she needed to make sure she knew who was who.
"Ch-cheeky? I'm not cheeky! I'm just being honest."
"Whatever floats your boat."
