Death to my paradise

Jungkook lunged for the person at the door. Bloodlust oozing from his eyes. Hands ready to beat whatever would get in his way.

Though before Jungkook could slam himself into another body, the other person had slipped through underneath his outstretched arms.

There stood—

Yoongi.

"Seriously ?!" Marni whimpered. "You had to scare us like that?" Jungkook had a bloodthirsty look on his face. Marni lurched forwards, her hands pulling Jungkook back.

"It's not like I tried to scare you, we're illegally kidnapping an insane person that's on the run. Of course I would have scared you."

Marni's eyebrows furrowed in complete confusion. "Wha—what's that got to do with anything?"

"It's got to do with him," It seemed more like a question, than an answer. Yoongi smiles awkwardly. "It's good to see you, Kookie." He patted the boy on the chest, softly, and quite sadly.

"Now, lets get out of here before Kim Taehyung realises two people are on his house, kidnapping his childhood friend—"

Jungkook slapped Yoongi across the mouth. The shorter boy started to protest, but his eyes ultimately widened hearing the creaking of the floorboards.

All three of their eyes widened, although Jungkook seemed more composed than ever, maybe because he had done something like this before...

The foot steps gradually continued, closer, and closer towards the opened down.

Marni steered her gun so it aimed towards whomever was coming, Yoongi immediately passed the bat to Jungkook, hands awkwardly flailing everywhere.

He whispered "I can use my fists." When Jungkook gave him a curious glance.

Slowly, someone slipped into the dark moon light, casting down through the window, and spraying across the door.

He himself, looked horrified, more horrified than Marni, than Jungkook, than Yoongi.

"T-Taehyung?" Jungkook called, seemingly acting as though he were really the persona of Jeongguk.

Taehyung's eyes were wide, wider than saucers.

"W-hat... How did you get in?!" He barked, appearing scared, and horrified, to angry.

Marni went to speak, but Yoongi had spoke before she had the chance. "You should lock the windows Tae Tae—"

"What gives you the right to break—"

"What gives you the right to take Jungkook? He didn't want to leave!"

"You think it's all about you and him, you think you'll both have a happy ending with each other... But guess what... Some of the choices to make, destroy others!" There was clear furiousness in his eyes, his teeth almost baring.

He clenched his fists, his jaw locking. "I loved you, and you chose your manipulating doctor, over me, over your best friend."

"Do I need to remind you of the past ten years?" Jungkook barked, palming the bat in his clenched hands. Yoongi seems to regret giving the younger boy the bat. Bats were more lethal than a fist, he realised, especially being Jungkook.

"I was in that asylum for half my life, and through that time, you never visited."

"I have a life!"

"I did too," he whispered, though a whisper, it sent shivers down their spines. Marni didn't falter her hold on the gun. Even when Jungkook turned to her, silently asking for the gun. "And your took that away from me, just like everyone else had. Maybe, I'll just take everything away from you, see how that feels."

"No," Marni whispered, a tranquil softness in her voice that almost instantly calmed the boy down. "You can't. Jungkook, think about the asylum, if you hurt him... you go back."

Jungkook's eyes darkened. "If you really loved me, you would have at least visited me, at least cared for me!" He screamed, his voice rising drastically against the silence. Yoongi gave Marni a frightened, worried look.

Jungkook raised his bat, Marni immediately jumped for his wrist. Though Taehyung could see the movement even before she did, and he lurked forwards, grabbing Marni's gun in his hands.

They struggled. Taehyung shoving the girl hard into the wall, too fast for anyone to see Taheyung's finger grasp the trigger.

Marni struggles, not wanting to hurt him. She tried to steer the gun away, but he was too strong, too infuriated to calm down, to stop.

A shot went off, it shook the walls, deafened the ears of the people inside, and almost horrified the two boys to the point where their heart shattered in their chests.

Both Marni and Taehyung fell to the floor. Blood, slowly trickling across the floor boards.

Jungkook's face paled. "M-Marni?" He stumbled over, the chains still somehow attached around his wrists. He pushed Taehyung off, though still loving him in some way, softly resting his head against the floor.

Jungkook immediately went to check Marni, looking over her stomach, he watched in horror as the red Bloch in his chest slowly spread across the white blouse she wore. Jungkook hands trembled, he pressed hard against her chest, trying to stop the blood.

Jungkook was unaware of the boy beside him, stirring, hands still on the gun. Again, another shot went off.

Jungkook jumped, hands trembling against Marni's soft, dying skin. He turned, watching as the only other friend he had fell to the floor.

A cry left his thinner lips. Eyes welling with traumatised tears. "Y-Yoongi Hyung?"

Blood started to flow around him too, and Jungkook was unable to think of what to do, he couldn't think. Not when he could see the love of his life bleeding below him, eyes slowly sliding shut, lips trembling. Along with his best friend, his only friend, his brother just in the same state.

"What have you done?" He trembled. "What.. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?"

Red. All he could see was red. The fury burned in his chest, tears slipping from his eyes, lips trembling in pain. He felt Marni's hand faintly trying to grasp his. He tried to sink into the feeling, tried to anchor it.

Though when her grip slipped away, and she no longer could hold anything, let alone breath; the fury broke through every cell in his body.

"I'll kill you," he chanted, almost hopefully. But then his eye faltered away from the teary eyes look Taehyung gave.

"I only did it because i loved you!" He screamed, though his voice broke when Jungkook lurched off of Marni and for Taehyung...

No.

For the gun...

Jungkook took grasp of the gun, and without any second thought, without and thought of remorse, or feeling of sympathy...

Jungkook turned the gun.

And pulled the trigger.

"Kookie," a voice called. Warm, and coaxing against the cold chill he felt across his skin. He was outside, sitting in snow. The white flakes numbed his skin, and his eyes strained to see through the storm of wind and snow.

He looked around, hoping to find the body to the voice. He knew he had heard it somewhere. Every time he heard it, it pulled a string in his heart.

"Kookie," the woman called again, so silent and soft against the strong, winds stinging across his face and close to his ears.

The voice started to register. Especially seeing the silhouette of a woman, walking through the storm, only metres away.

Jungkook's lips trembled. "M...Marni?"

The girl's hair was beautiful, swinging with the wind, although it was short and a choppy black colour, it still looked gorgeous on her.

She wore a dress of red, satin, it glowed through the whiteness of the sky, of the ground, of the wind. Her lips blooming with colour.

She doesn't look dead. Jeongguk thought. Maybe we're okay....

Marni stumbles, before giggling. She slipped down beside Jeongguk, her soft skin radiating a warmth Jeongguk so dearly wanted all to himself. His lips chattered, and without thinking, he wrapped himself around Marni.

She slipped closer into his warmth. Her head resting against his shoulder, her skin like the sun on a cold day.

"Marni? You're okay?"

Marni smiled up at him, snuggling into his warmth.

"No, I'm not okay." She sighed. It was a happy sigh, which confused Jeongguk.

"What do you mean? Are you cold?" He went to take something off, but when he moved to, all he wore was a red, blooming blouse.

"No, silly," she giggled. "I'm not cold, I'm dying."

"W-what?"

"But you'll be okay," she smiled. " you can feel it, ya know. Are you cold? That means you can feel. I can't feel anything."

"I... I can feel the cold..."

"See! You'll be okay," she smiled. Jeongguk's eyes seemed to brim with tears. "If you can just wake up, you'll be okay!"

"But... I can't leave you."

"Yes you can! It'll be okay, if you wake up, you'll be able to see me in real life!"

"But... will you be able to see me? What... what if I leave you and you never wake up?"

Marni's smile never faltered. That was the beauty about a careless Marni. She was happy when Jeongguk was happy, she was happy when he was safe.

"That's for you to find out," Marni sighed. Soft lips trembling against his ear as she spoke. Her hands tightened against his body. "You'll be fine, just as long as you remember I love you!"

A tear fell from Jeongguk's eyes.

"I love you too."

"Now!" Marni unlatched herself from her love, standing with her knobbly knees. "Just follow the wind," she whispered, before slowly, slowly edging away. Her long, elegant dress flying with the wind. She pointing the way the wind was flying, the way her dress was moving.

"That way."
