Anger

"What?" He hissed, watching with narrow eyes as Marni had pushed him away. Her hands shook, eyes wide.

"I- I can't... We can't be together," Marni struggled, scared of the outcome Jeongguk would bring. She took a deep breath, tried to push away all the weakness. Her hands were fisted, and she stood stronger than she had for the past week.

Jeongguk was unresponsive, his head cocked down to look at his toes, the hair on his head covering his eyes.

"Why?" His voice was frigid, and throaty. His hands moved so they were in view of his eyes, and he cracked his bloodied fingers.

"I'll answer your questions when you tell me who's blood that is," Marni tried not to weaken at the darkness in his eyes.

A dark chuckle left his thin, red lips. I watched as his eyes flickered with a funny, mischievous light as he looked up through his bangs.

"You don't want to be with me because I have some blood on my hands?" He acted as though killing someone was no issue, there was a softness in his voice.

"I don't want to be with someone that might hurt me, like you hurt them."  I begged, gripping he kitchen counter in grief. "I need to be able to trust you if your going to stay in my home,"

His eyes narrowed, his head dipping up to meet her eyes. He watched the worried sparkle in them, and the tears brimming her eyes. Jeongguk hated seeing her upset. He never meant to kill them, it was self defence, but no one would understand.

"You think I would hurt you?"

He stepped forwards, his fingers moving to tickle at his lovers bare skin. A sly smile on his face. Marni snapped her arm away, and Jeongguk's eyes widened.

"I-"  his strong aura slowly came crashing down. His head shaking, his unbrushed hair flying in every direction. "I can't explain how, I just did it—"

"I don't care how, I want to know why," Marni replied. Jeongguk watched as her hands slowly moved to brush through his thick black hair of a way to calm him down.

She may be distressed, but she still needed Jeongguk to stay calm, and comfortable. If he were to go Bessel and lose his temper.

"Just explain, it's okay,"

"But if- I'd tell you, you'll l-leave me," he whispered, his eyes watering. He seemed overwhelmed, and I watched as he blinked more than usual, before his head hung low.

Cries started to arouse throughout the room, sniffles and chokes of stress. Marni lifted his head up in her warm hands.

"Jeongguk, he... Hurt someone, it was a man... he-he tried to hurt us as we were trying to find you-"

"Shhh, it's okay," Marni whispered, placing her lips on his forehead. "I understand."

"Let's get you cleaned, and some fresh clothes, You'll be here for a while."

A small smile fell upon Jungkook's lips, and his grip tightened around his Nona's waist. He felt wanted, and for once in his life; normal, around Marni.

He reminded her of what butterflies felt like in the stomach, and how much he yearned for some warmth, all the years he had been alone.

Marni was like water, strong enough to drown, soft enough to cleanse, and pure enough to save. She was already doing every little thing to poor Jungkook.

"I don't care how complicated this will be," he whispered, "I still want you, Even though my heart may be broken, maybe if you think I'm insane. I'm in love with you, Marni."

Marni's lips trembled. She may be twenty three years old, but she was never used to someone giving her affection.

"I- I love you too... Jungkook. But to love you, I need you to trust me and you alike."

Jungkook bloomed a deep red, and almost burst into tears with excitement.

Beneath the bubbles, was an ear to ear, smiling young male, that had not felt so happy, in his so long years of being kept away.

His hands played with the bubbles till his hands went wrinkly, and his smile never fell. Along with the bubble beard he had created on his face.

"You've never had a bubble bath before?" Marni asked, a soft, caring smile on her face. The sun through the window made the light shine within the room.

Marni was now dressed in fresh clothes; a red sweater and some black jeans. She would have a shower after Jungkook was settled, and could trust him alone. So she Atleast changed and doused herself in some fresh scents of vanilla.

Jungkooks smile faltered at the question. But he still had that bubbling, and positive energy. "Never," he smacked his hands, and the bubbles disappeared.

Marni furrowed her brows, she didn't want to ruin his positive mood. But with loving someone, you need to trust them.

Jungkook seemed comfortable with Marni standing inside the bathroom with him. Her bathroom was large, and purely white and glittering with cleanse.

Marni moved to sit on the counter that held the sink. She smiled when Jungkook beamed at her, full set of bunny teeth for show.

"Jungkook, I don't want to ruin your fun; but we need to talk," For a reply, Jungkook nodded, his head resting against the bathtub, his eyes looking up at Marni.

"Is what the documents say; about you killing your family, true?" There was a softness in Marni's voice.

He silently nodded. "They all day Jeongguk did it for fun, for enjoyment. But it wasn't."

Marni raised her eyebrows. Jungkook stayed mutual, his face neither smiling nor frowning. The grime and blood was washing away within the water and soap now. It made Marni stress less, knowing the blood was no longer on his hands.

"For years, my parents beat me. My father would come home roaring drunk, Mother was always with other men and woman," he whispered. Eyes glazed with memories. "Father knew, but he never did anything to her, always to me."

"One day, he smashed glass against my head, and choked me too hard... Jeongguk snapped..."

"Jeongguk didn't do it for enjoyment, he did it to protect us. He killed Father, and set the house on fire. My brother and mother died, but in a way... Jeongguk was happy they did."

"It was as though you could restart," Marni's voice aroused. She had pure softness in her eyes, and Jungkook admired that.

"Yeah... as though my childhood could reset," he nodded his head. Before he slowly motioned for Marni to grab the towel.

She snapped her eyes shut, when he worry-freely stood from the bath and stepped out, grabbing the towel from her trembling hands, she almost melted. The water dripping off his naked body sent shivers down Marni's spine. But she kept her eyes shut, tight.

"Jungko—"

"Thanks Noona, You can open your eyes now," The warmth between Marni's thighs ached, and her eyes slowly opened to see a mischievously smiling Jungkook.

"Now," he concluded. "Let's continue," It seemed as though talking to her calmed him down. As though he wanted to talk with her, and never stop.

Jungkook followed Marni, the towel wrapped around his waist. As they stepped into the hall; Marni could see the muscles of his biceps, and abdomen.

His skin was pale, but wether someone's skin was pale or dark. Anyone could be beautiful. People would always say pale people were unattractive. But aren't we all just a mix of colours?

"Noona, stop staring," he giggled, before walking into Marni's room, and looking through the closet for clothes.

She blushed. "I wasn't,"

"Hm, Jeonguk says otherwise. He's telling me he catches you staring at him all the time,"

Jungkook slipped into some extra large clothes Marni possessed. They were tight, but still fit nice enough. He smelt her perfume on the clothes and it immediately made everything better.

His hair was unbrushed and damp, and it covered his eyes. He probably needed a trim, the hair was so long it bothered him, and tickled his cheeks.

He slipped into the bed, beside Marni as she continued to cover her eyes. "Noona i'm finished," he giggled, trying to pry her hands away from her eyes.

"I don't believe you," she replied, reluctantly opening her eyes. "And about Jeongguk... can he see through your eyes? Or hear me?"

"If I let him," he replied. "It's hard to explain, but I can't control anything when I dissociate."

Marni nodded. But Jungkook froze for a second, and blinked. "He's trying to come through now," he whispered. His voice was cold and slightly scared.

"He wants to..." Jungkook stopped, his hands grasping Marni's so tight, they were a pale white.

"Hide," He whispered. "He wants to touch you, and..."

I jumped when his hands tightened so hard it hurt, and he blinked, his eyes narrowing.

"Hello Noona,"

I ran out the room.
