Sixty (Final Chapter)

Fifty years later

Sunny Park Kim entered into the house carrying lots of bags in her hands.

"Daddy! Appa!" She yelled out in a loud voice as she bounced into the already Christmas decorated living room. Her second child with his boyfriend entered squeezing his face.
"Where are those old men?" He whispered.

"Shut it Yugyeom!" Sunny scolded her son. He just rolled his eyes leading his shy boyfriend towards the couch. She looked at her emo daughter dressed in all black with piercings on her nose and lips lingering behind the door pressing her phone in deep concentration.

"Will you keep that down?" She urged but the girl shrugged.

"Isn't Jungkook coming today?" Her daughter Amber whispered

"He has to take care of things at the company. He'll be coming with his girlfriend later" Sunny said and continued her search for her parents. Finally, she found them sitting in front of the balcony looking out the beautiful scenery of the island. They retired from the company business two years ago ever since Taehyung was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. They moved away from Seoul and parked into their vacation home located in this desolate village buried deep in the middle of an isolated island.

She had spent most of her growing up years here in this village mingling with her fathers' friends Chanyeol and Baekhyun's five adopted children. Though the Chanbaek couple had both since died at the age of fifty seven and six two respectively. She had fallen in love with one of their sons when she became a teenager and had eventually married him at the age of twenty three. Unfortunately, he had passed away too young when their last child Amber had been nothing but a baby.

But she took solace in her parents Daddy Tae and Appa Jimin. She would forever be grateful for the day she met them after her biological parents had died in a car accident and she was taken in by them and given all the love she would ever need.

She walked up to the two and enveloped them in a hug

"Oh Sunny, when did you arrive?" Jimin said looking at her fondly with a bright smile.

"Just now Appa. How is Daddy Tae?"

Jimin sighed looking at his husband sadly. "He's still the same"

Sunny swept past a grey hair blocking Taehyung's eye.

"Are uncle Hobi, Yoongi and Namjoon hyung coming?"

Jimin sighed. "They might. Although Namjoon is still grieving over Jin's death. I doubt he'll come"

Sunny sighed. "But Kibum is coming right?"

Jimin took a deep breath. "That rascal. I don't know why Jin and Namjoon adopted him anyway. He's such a trouble maker. He has refused to settle down"

Sunny laughed. "Maybe he will eventually"

"Happy New Year!" A voice yelled out from inside. Sunny ran back to the living room to meet the owner of the voice. Mina. She was all grown up just like Sunny and was now an executive manager of Kim and Park investment and real estate company. Also, a single mother to twelve year old  twin boys she had birthed when she was middle aged. The voices of the trouble some twins echoed through out the house as they ran up and down. The women embraced each other.

"How are your moms?" Sunny asked.

Mina groaned "They couldn't make the long journey. They said it was too far but they sent their regards and of course some gifts" she said pointing to the wrapped presents on the table then Mina went to greet the ageing couple.

Jimin helped lead Taehyung inside the house and they where greeted by their friends and family. Sunny entered into the kitchen and returned with a big birthday cake. Soon everyone was singing the typical birthday song for Taehyung

"Happy Birthday Dear Daddy Tae!
Happy Birthday to you!" They all chorused loudly.

"Blow the candles dear!" Jimin whispered into his husband's ear but as usual, he was motionless. He sighed and kissed his cheek then blew the candles out by himself and everyone cheered.

The door opened. Hoseok, Yoongi and Namjoon entered.

"How can you start the ceremony without me!" Hoseok shouted heartily.

Yoongi groaned. "Too many kids. ugh!

Hoseok frowned. "It's because of you we never had kids of our own"

Yoongi sulked. "They are too noisy. Besides my sisters have lots of kids and we're god parents to almost half the children here"

Hoseok rolled his eyes "Ugh Yoongi, if you weren't so adorable, I would have divorced you a long time ago"

"You can't Hobi because I'm all you have"

"Weirdo!" Hoseok retorted hiding a smile.

"Happy Birthday Tae" Namjoon said looking sullen as he tapped his friend on the back but all he received was a blank look from the latter.

"Thanks for coming Namjoon. I know you're going through a tough time right now but be aware that Jin is in a better place now and I know one day, you'll see him again" Jimin said.

"Thanks Chim Chim!"

They all ate and drank merrily playing songs and generally having a good time. The younger kids where already asleep while the adults and teenagers remained awake. When the clock finally struck twelve.

"Happy New Year!
Happy Birthday Daddy Tae!"

They all shouted but something happened. For the first time in two years, Jimin felt Taehyung's touch. His fingers wrapped around his tightly as they stood together at their most favorite place in the house, the balcony. Jimin felt like crying when he felt Taehyung's hold. But he noticed something else. Taehyung was looking up at the sky deeply focused. Jimin traced his line of sight and that's when he saw it.

It was an image of a bow and arrow in the sky made up of many tiny stars. It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Immediately, he remembered the past and he knew it was only the Angel that could have done something this magical.

"Isn't that...." Hoseok whispered under his breath without completing the sentence knowing exactly what it was. Yoongi and Namjoon did too Everyone gathered at the balcony staring at the image.

"What the hell is that?" Amber said admiring the image in the sky.

"I have no idea but it's cool" Yugyeom added.

"Is that him?" Sunny whispered turning to her fathers. She had known the story. They had told her when she was fifteen. It was hard to believe at first but with time she accepted it. She loved hearing about Jungkook so much, she named her first son after him. Jimin's eyes where watery with tears as he nodded to her question.

"Yes it is. He remembered us after fifty years!" he said.

"Let's go outside Jiminie" Taehyung said suddenly in a rough weak voice. Jimin was shocked but happy because It had been two days now since he heard his husband's voice. He nodded his head in agreement thinking that the cupid must have helped him regain his strength a little and he was so glad.

They started leaving the house.

"It's cold outside Appa!" Sunny yelled after them.

"Don't worry, we'll be fine. We won't spend long anyway. You just go and sleep. You must be very tired" Jimin answered back.

Sunny shrugged "Hurry back inside. I'll be heading to bed" she said. Jimin nodded and they left the house. When they where outside, they sat on the bench few meters away from the house. It really was cold but neither of them minded.

"Are you okay Tae Tae?"

Taehyung smiled. "I'm tired Jiminah!" he whispered.

"You're tired? Me too " He said and squeezed the latter's hands softly, the hands which were now old and rough but still made him feel all the emotions of love again and again.

"We did well with our lives didn't we Jiminah?" Taehyung whispered.

"Yes. We raised a big family. A happy family."

"They'll be alright. Won't they?"

Jimin nodded stroking his husband's hand.

"Yes, they will" he answered and Taehyung began to close their eyes feeling sleepy.

"And Jungkook?" Taehyung whispered.

"We'll see him and Jin, even our dads and all the others some day" Jimin answered.

With eyes half closed, Taehyung whispered. "I want to go to sleep Jiminah"

Jimin nodded his head then planted a soft kiss on top of Taehyung's head smiling painfully

"I love you!" he suddenly whispered.

"I love you!" Taehyung whispered.

Taehyung closed his eyes sighing deeply and Jimin chuckled.

"You're asleep now aren't you Taehyung? don't worry. I won't leave you. I won't let you be alone. We promised each other didn't we that we will never let go right even if we have to die"

He scoffed "And that's how it will be" he added with a soft smile on his lips.

The cupid image in the sky slowly began to vanish till it was completely gone leaving only the stars behind. Jimin closed his eyes finally and fell into a deep sleep both his and Taehyung's hands intertwined. For a moment, it was like they where young again.

Some hours later, Jimin and Taehyung's bodies where found by Sunny on the bench covered with snow. A week later, they where buried side by side beside the lake on that favorite spot that where theirs fifty years ago and on their tomb stone read the words:

Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung beloved husbands, fathers and grandfathers brought together by the love cupid. Always and forever.

THE END

###

I can't believe this book is finished. I literally almost cried. I made it a bitter sweet ending. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Anyway, It was a journey writing this story and I enjoyed sharing it with you all. You are all so wonderful. I can't even begin to describe how much.

This book wasn't written by me alone. I took inspiration from each and every comment I read and they all helped a lot.

There are so many people I want to thank for the encouragement, votes, reads and comments but if I start making a list, it will be too long and I don't want to leave anyone out so I just want to say thank you. I deeply appreciate it.

Thanks for supporting Love cupid. I have so many other Vmin books I wish to write and that is mainly because there aren't nearly enough Vmin fanfiction books. So I hope I continue to gain your support in the future.

Till next time. Have a lovely day everyone!💜💜💜
