Forty three
The group of friends stayed in the room with the ruined door. Taehyung was lying on the bed covered up with a blanket while Jimin laid beside him. He was holding his hand stroking it gently and Taehyung didn't seem to mind. He just accepted the touch. He had to. Jimin had looked so worried. Anyway, it was still amusing to see the look on their friends faces when they found out the truth about Jungkook and how he came to affect their relationship.
Jungkook was sitting on a chair in front of the bed as the four men stood in front of him with questioning curious glances. He told them everything they needed to know.
"So you caused all these?" Namjoon said.
The angel nodded "Yep"
Yoongi groaned. "This is ridiculous. Angels do not exist"
Jungkook smiled wryly. "I see, you doubt a lot but then you should know that you wouldn't be alive if it weren't for me"
Yoongi gaped at him as he continued. "I was the one who healed you when you where bitten by a snake"
Yoongi gulped as Hoseok smiled brightly. "You did?"
The sunshine looked completely enamored by the Angel as he pushed himself further to him. Yoongi placed a hand firmly on his shoulder and pulled him back so he was resting on his chest
"In my defense, you where the reason why we ended up in the island and I got bit by a snake"
Jungkook smiled. "In my defense, I brought you all together and now you guys experienced first hand what it means to fall in love"
A gentle serenity settled over everyone as they looked at each other finding the eyes of the one they had fallen in love with.
Taehyung locked eyes with Jimin and he could see it again there. That longing and love and his heart just clenched. It was pounding heavily so he looked at Jungkook to distract himself.
"But not everything turned out well. Look at me and Jimin. Everything is all messed up because of that love cupid"
Jungkook hung his head low. "Actually, it's not the love cupid. It's me. My naivety and carelessness has caused so much trouble to you all and now, I don't know what to do about it"
They where all confused now. Something was definitely bothering Jungkook. They could see the troubled look in his eyes.
"Jungkookah, are you okay?" Jimin whispered.
Jungkook looked up, his eyes red, tears brimming in them. It made them startle at first. So angels do cry they all thought.
"I'm not okay guys. I need to go!" he said and vanished immediately from their sight.
"Wow!" Hoseok gasped in awe.
"He really is an angel. A real angel" Jin muttered in a dazed state. Namjoon turned to the two on the bed.
"Now we understand everything." He whispered.
There was a look of pity in his eyes as he stared at them.
"It must have hurt a lot when he stopped loving you" Hoseok whispered and it affected Jimin so he looked down trying to hide the tears threatening to fall from his eyes.
Taehyung felt uncomfortable as everyone peered at them and he felt guilty for being the cause of Jimin's pain.
"Now I understand how you must have felt Taehyung. You must have been so confused" Jin added looking weary.
Hoseok showed his full teeth "But we are rooting for you guys. Jimin, don't worry about your parents. We are all solidly behind you. We know you can do this"
"Jiminah, fighting!" They all chorused holding their right hands in a ninety degree angle as an act of support.
Taehyung blushed as Jimin waved them away looking deathly embarrassed.
"Yah, stop it!" he screamed. "Just go!"
The four men laughed. Jin came closer to the bed.
"I'm so sorry Tae for what I said to you earlier today. I know it might have prompted the attack you just had"
Taehyung smiled. "It's okay Jin. You had every right to be angry and let's be honest, I've been acting like a jerk lately and been mighty awful to Jimin"
Jin nodded. "True but you're not really to blame"
Taehyung had been a mess of emotions these past few days and he knows he's hiding but he had to face it all now. He has to face these confusing feelings he has in his heart for Jimin.
"We good?"
Taehyung nodded. "Yes, we're good"
They fist bumped and nodded at each other with smiles.
"Well, we have to fix this door!" Namjoon announced.
"Do we call someone to fix it?" Yoongi said.
"Don't worry, I can fix this door. It's really no problem" Namjoon said with a small grin. Jin folded his arms.
"You? The God of destruction?" There was a twinkle in his eyes.
Namjoon reddened. "I'm just a bit clumsy!"
Hoseok scoffed. "Just a bit clumsy? Joon, you have broken every glass ware in our house"
"How is it for the four of you living in one house?" Jimin put in.
Yoongi stroke his chin. "It's pretty great actually. Noisy but cool"
"Except that Namjoon breaks everything" Hoseok added chuckling.
Namjoon looked somewhat upset and Jin frowned at Hoseok.
"Shut up Hobi. If my baby says he will fix the door then he will. Won't you babe?" Jin said and Namjoon looked at him totally swooned.
"Thanks babe!"
"I'll help!" Jin said and kissed his boyfriend.
"Aww stop being gross" Hoseok said pouting.
Yoongi tapped his shoulder wearing a smirk on his face "What about it? Don't you want to be gross too?"
Jimin cringed at his cheesy words but when he saw them making out, his cheeks burned. He looked beside him. Taehyung was looking embarrassed too.
"I think this is our cue to leave" he whispered into Taehyung's ear. The latter nodded with a smile. He gripped his hand and they both walked away.
Horny bastards. Jimin thought to himself but at least, he and Taehyung would be alone.
They went to his own room and Taehyung seemed quite peaceful as he slid himself onto his bed. He didn't need permission anyway. He's still legally his husband. Jimin chuckled a little at his behavior.
"is it okay, can I sleep here?" he said
"You shouldn't ask Tae. This here, all belongs to you too. We are still married you know" Jimin answered with a small smile.
Taehyung blushed at the memory and nodded his head before laying back on the bed and drifting into a deep sleep.
When he woke up, there was a cool breeze blowing around the room. Jimin must have opened the windows wide just the way he liked it. Outside, the sun was gone. It was now replaced with the moon. He could hear the faint sounds of music coming from downstairs. His friends were probably having a good time. On the bedside table was a plate of kimchi stew and rice with a cup of orange juice. Jin must have done the meal. His lips curved in a small smile when he remembered just how bad of a cook Jimin was.
He got out from bed and froze when he saw Jimin, his back to him facing the window. He was looking at something in his hands and it drew Taehyung's curiosity. He slowly walked towards him and stopped when he saw it. His heart beat with faster than normal as he beheld their wedding rings. He didn't remember what happened with those rings. He thought he had left them in the village but here they where with Jimin. He could remember how they got those rings. The memory made him smile.
Flashback
"You two are getting married with us?" Chanyeol said in disbelief as he stared at the flushed couple. They where preparing for the wedding, sitting amidst maids who where putting finishing touches to their simple clothes
They nodded quickly.
Baekhyun clapped his hands "That's great. I can overlook all the stress I went through planning this wedding" he said looking a bit upset
"You helped bring them together. Can't you support them with this?" Chanyeol said squeezing his lover's shoulders.
Baekhyun sighed before smiling brightly. "Alright, alright. You can wed with us"
Jimin and Taehyung hugged them looking elated.
"Thank you! Thank you! We'll send you payment for half of the wedding expenses when we get back to Seoul" Taehyung said.
Baekhyun waved his hands. "There's no need for that guys but aren't you forgetting something?"
They looked clueless as the other couple smiled at themselves. Jimin looked at Taehyung.
"What do you think we're forgetting?" he said in a hushed tone.
"It's the most important thing for the couple during the wedding and the smallest handcuff in the world" Chanyeol said with amusement shining in his eyes.
"Smallest handcuff?" Taehyung nodded deep in thought until it hit them.
"Rings!" They both shouted and started to run out of the room.
"Happy married life!" Chanyeol shouted after them.
"The wedding is in an hour" Baekhyun added.
With his hand holding onto Jimin's, they raced past their friends who were puzzled at them but they didn't care.
"How could you forget the rings Tae?" Jimin shouted over the winds.
"Now Jimin? Are you going to do this right now?"
They where breathing fast as they ran
"Well yeah because you were the first to propose to me and even then, you forgot the ring"
"What are we doing?" Taehyung said and stopped to look at Jimin who was already flushed breathing fast.
"Do you really want to do this?" he asked firmly.
Jimin didn't answer so he continued.
"Do you want to marry me Jimin?"
Jimin smiled. "You know I do. If I was having any doubts before, I don't now but our marriage will be something else if we are rushing to get the rings one hour before our wedding"
Taehyung took his hand again. "You're damn right Jiminah" he said and they continued running till they reached the first shop. It was closed. So where the second and third till the fourth shop. It was a tiny one that sold all types of ornaments and jewelries but when they laid eyes on those silver rings on the counter resting on a little white pillow, they knew they were meant to have it.
"Those please!" They both said.
They where panting, tired and exhausted but as their fingers glazed the shiny silver pieces which where surprisingly their perfect size, all their fears and uncertainties vanished.
"It's beautiful Tae!" Jimin whispered nearly in tears.
"It sure is" Tae said kissing the top of his soon to be husband's head.
Now, Taehyung smiled as he saw the rings.
"You had it these whole time" he said startling the other who turned around, his eyes looked slightly swollen and Taehyung knew he had been crying. He wanted to ask him why he was crying but deep inside, he already knew.
"You're awake. You must be hungry" he said ignoring his earlier statement and walking past him to drop the rings on the table. Taehyung watched him. He looked defeated and his heart was just pounding.
"I know" he finally said.
"You know what?" Jimin said turning to face him
"That our families have started a war"
Jimin looked shocked, his body tensing immediately.
"How...how.."
"I overheard you guys and well I know Namjoon. He sucks at lying"
Jimin sat on the bed, his back hunched.
"Now, I'm guessing you want to leave?" his voice was laden with pain
There was silence as Taehyung sat beside him quietly.
"No!" came the blunt answer and Jimin stared at the other man. There was a certain look of worry in his eyes and he couldn't believe his ears.
"Why?" He muttered.
Another round of silence. Taehyung bit his lips hard and looked deeply at Jimin. He took a deep breath.
"I think I'm falling in love with you again Jimin"
The other was speechless and at that moment, the rain began to fall outside hitting the roofs and Jimin just couldn't help himself, he wrapped his hand around Taehyung's neck, pulled him close and kissed him. There was no struggle from his husband, only acceptance as he kissed back moaning pleasantly. When they released, Jimin smiled.
"God, I missed that..." he whispered joining their foreheads against each other. Taehyung smiled.
"Yep...definitely falling in love again" he said with affirmation.
Back at Seoul, Kim Taejun sipped his wine slowly. He knew that very soon, the Parks would attack and he was more than ready.
Jackson entered his office wearing a straight face.
"Sir, we have located them"
Kim Taejun smiled smugly. "That's good, very good"
"Sir, should we bring him back now?"
His master shook his head wearing a devious smile on his lips.
"Not yet Jackson... Not yet!"
