Fifty

He opened the door to his suite and began walking past the surprised guards.

"Young master, where are you going?" one of them said.

Taehyung grinned. "You can either follow me or drag me back"

They all looked at each other confusedly before deciding to follow him. They entered the elevator to the ground floor and when he stepped out, they followed him as he walked past the rooms and stopped in front of a door. They all smiled and nodded understandably before stepping aside.

Taehyung took a deep breath. This was his last card. He knocked on the door and a woman opened. She peered at him in surprise.

"Master Taehyung, you're here? "

She still lingered behind the door. Taehyung smiled. "Can I see her please?"

She looked back inside the room before turning back to face him.

"But she's not ready yet. You know it's bad luck to see the bride before the..."

Taehyung sighed, his patience wearing thin.

"Just open the damn door!" he barked and the woman shivered at his tone

"Oh... Okay" She mumbled and opened the door. He entered and saw the room filled with plenty of women trying to fix Jisoo up. She was sitting in the middle of the room which was slightly messy with clothes, shoes, make up thrown around everywhere but she looked beautiful in her wedding gown and her hair already packed into a bun at the back of her head. Her eyes widened as she saw him. There was an anxiousness in them. He took it as pre wedding jitters.

"Taehyung, what are you doing here?" she whispered.

Taehyung didn't answer her. Instead, he turned to the rest of the women.

"I'm sorry but can you all leave the room?"

"What are you doing?" Jisoo whispered.

The women looked at her but she finally nodded her head in agreement and they all quietly left one by one, all looking confused.

When they were alone, Jisoo looked at Taehyung frowning slightly.

"What are you doing here?"

She smirked. "Are you trying to convince me to stop the wedding?"

There was silence before Taehyung pulled a chair in front of her and sat down making sure they were both at the same eye level. He took a deep breath

"Yes, that's what I'm trying to do"

She heaved deeply.

"Jisoo, there are things you don't know about me. Things you ought to know but it has been kept away from you by my dad because all he's interested in is using your family to satisfy this sick obsession he has to get richer and become more powerful"

Jisoo looked uneasy as she watched him.

"I'm sorry but I have to tell you who I really am so you wouldn't wonder why our marriage later became nothing more than a failure because no matter what you will do, I will never be able to love you, treat you right or make love to you the way you want because...."

The tension was at its peak and he was almost hesitating but he had to do this. This was his last chance.

"I'm gay!" He finally said it.

Jisoo huffed, her eyes looked teary and Taehyung wondered why she wasn't reacting more than that. She suddenly gulped as he searched her face in curiosity but all she did was hold out her hand towards a golden bag at the edge of the bed. Taehyung understood that she wanted it and he got it for her.

She began to reach into the bag and Taehyung started fearing she was bringing out a gun to shoot him in the head but instead she brought out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, tossed the bag onto the ground and lit the cigarette taking a full drag and blowing the smoke into the air while Taehyung stared open mouthed at her.

After three more smokes, she sighed.

"I needed that!" she said and looked at Taehyung pointedly then shook her head.

"You said it! I didn't want you to say it but you did. Now, what the hell am I supposed to do?"

Taehyung looked at her as she smashed the butt of the cigarette on the table beside her and turned to him narrowing her eyes at him.

"I guess you noticed that I'm a bit psycho!"

Taehyung couldn't even nod so as not to anger her further.

"This was my last chance to prove to my father that I'm not a disgrace, that I could still do something and not bring the family name down"

She sniffed and her eyes began to turn really red as if she was trying to hold back her tears.

"I went to rehab for three years because of drug abuse while I was still in college. My father hid the whole thing because of our family name and prestige. When I came out of rehab, he told me he had engaged me to you and marrying you was the only thing I could do to redeem myself"

"I relapsed several times but the thought of marrying you made everything worth it. It was my last chance and I was ready to do anything even though I knew we had no feelings for each other, even though I knew your father was only going to use my family but I didn't care until... "

She stopped.

"That day when I saw you with Park Jimin. The way you ran out on me just to meet him. The way you both looked at each other that day. I knew something was up with you two. I couldn't shake the feeling away so I did my own digging and then I found out the truth"

She shook her head. "Even after knowing you two used to be in a relationship, I kept quiet. I didn't confront you about it since you didn't say anything so I thought there must be a reason why you were going through with the wedding. As for me, I only wanted the wedding to take place but now you tell me you are gay."

Taehyung nodded. "We weren't just in a relationship Jisoo, we where married"

Jisoo gasped. "I need another smoke" she said and reached for her bag again but Taehyung held her hand stopping her.

He continued "Again, I'm sorry for not telling you about this but my father threatened to hurt Jimin if I didn't marry you"

He dropped his hand, looking down at the floor before looking back at her, biting his lips.

"I would have gone ahead with the wedding but last night, Jimin went missing and I'm pretty sure my father has something to do with it"

He shook his head determined. "He went against our agreement. I have no reason to keep to mine"

He looked deep inside her eyes and she looked back.

"Please, I need to find Jimin. I'm worried my father may have already gotten him."

Jisoo nodded. "I get you! Truthfully, this is hard but I can't marry a gay man. Much less someone who is in love with someone else and truthfully, I'm not ready to get married. I'm truly not marriage material and definitely not the settling down type"

She took another deep breath rubbing her eyes tiredly. "And honestly, I still need to work on myself. I took solace in drugs because it was the only thing that could help me, that could take me away from the pressures of being the sole heiress to a textile conglomerate. So much was expected of me and I just... "

She pursed her lips. "I just couldn't take it"

She heaved getting rid of her former melancholy state.

"But now, I want to do something for me. Take a break from everyone most especially my father. People who don't know us would think we are blessed with everything but they have no idea how difficult it is to be burdened with the responsibilities your parents entrusts in you"

Taehyung nodded in agreement. He understood her perfectly.

She continued "And maybe after this, I'll probably do a lot of travelling and if I'm lucky enough, I'll meet someone who'll truly love me and see me for who I really am and I won't care what social status they have"

"Will your father agree with this?"

She smiled smugly. "He'll have to or I'll just run away and he'll never see me again. Trust me, my father adores me that's why he wishes I'm perfect but I'm not perfect. I'm just me; faults and all"

Taehyung smiled for the first time since their deep conversation.

"You're really great Jisoo. I'm sorry I didn't take time to notice before Probably if all these comes to an end, I hope we could be friends"

Jisoo smiled back. "I'll like that Taehyung" She said but she frowned lightly "But if we want this wedding stopped, it's going to be by my own terms. Do you agree?"

Taehyung nodded. "Yes!"

He was glad this had worked out and he had made a new friend and ally in the unlikely Jisoo. She relaxed back in her chair, the atmosphere now a lot calmer.

"So, is there anything else you want to tell me?"

Taehyung scratched the back of his head nervously. "Well...I'm also epileptic"

Her eyes widened. "I think I need that smoke now!"

Two hours later.

The guests were already seated inside the beautifully decorated wedding hall. The piano played the wedding tune and Taehyung walked in first basking in the admiration of the guests. His father and Jisoo's sat at the front seats smiling. He saw the look in his father's eyes. He was happy yet anxious for the wedding to be done and over with. He reached the front of the church and stood before the minister placing his hands in front of him.

The piano started playing another typical wedding tune as everyone stood up from their seats and looked in anticipation towards the door. Jisoo appeared looking beautiful in her gown, a crown of jewels pinned to her hair and veil with a bouquet of red roses dangling between her hands. She smiled beautifully as she walked down the isle. When she reached Taehyung, the piano stopped playing and everyone sat down on their seats.

The minister began the necessary wedding rites till they reached the part;

If anyone feels that these two should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace

Silence.

Everyone turned their heads to see if there where any haters around but a loud sudden gasp filled the hall as Jisoo held up her hands.

"I'm not getting married anymore!" she shouted.

Kim Taejun arose staring at her in shock.

"What are you doing?" he yelled.

But Jisoo ignored him, removed her veil and dumped it onto the ground along with the bouquet of roses. She pointed at Taehyung.

"I can't get married to him because he's gay!"

Everyone gasped and loud murmurings filled the hall. The minister looked shocked and Kim Taejun's legs wobbled but he held on to his walking stick.

"Is it true?" questioned Lee pil no looking totally aghast.

Jisoo went on "I'm sure you all know the Park family, sworn enemy of the Kims. Taehyung here was married to their son Park Jimin but Kim Taejun forced his son to divorce Jimin by threatening to hurt him"

Silent outbursts broke out in the hall and everyone looked at Kim Taejun with slight looks of disgust. It's not like they didn't know the kind of person he is.

"He's missing right now and for all we know, Mr Taejun killed him!" Jisoo yelled loudly

Shoutings was heard and everyone had risen from their seats. Taehyung watched with a hidden smile. This was their plan anyway. He had promised to take the fall for everything and expose himself if only Jisoo stopped the wedding and for now, she was doing a good job.

Her father rose from his seat fuming and glaring at Kim Taejun.

"I can't believe this! Your son was gay and you wanted my daughter to marry him despite that fact? He was married to someone else and you forced him to divorce and killed his husband all for what?"

Kim Taejun groaned. "I didn't kill the brat. He ran away!" he whispered but Lee pil no continued.

"You only wanted my power and political influence which I was glad to give you because I thought we were friends. I only wanted my daughter to marry your son because of our long standing years of friendship. How could you do this especially after knowing who you really are!"

There was silence and Kim Taejun looked around him helplessly holding onto his walking stick.

"You've been hiding it for many years but we both know you are gay!"

Pin drop silence. No one said a word. Taehyung stared at his father whose head was bent low after he just received the shock of his life. His father was gay? This was unbelievable and yet, he had made him suffer all these years while hiding this secret of his own. What a hypocrite!

When Kim Taejun looked up, his eyes were blood shot red.

"You know nothing! All of you know nothing!" he grunted under his breath.

Taehyung noticed the craziness in his father's eyes and knew he was going to explode at any moment. Jisoo seemed to notice it too and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Run Taehyung. There's an exit at the far left of the hall. Go now! Go and find Jimin!" she whispered

Taehyung smiled at her thankfully before breaking into a run.

"Get him!" Taejun Kim yelled loudly but the hall was in an uproar momentarily distracting his guards. Jisoo ran into her father's outstretched arms.

"I'm sorry Appa!" she cried into his chest.

Her father stroke her hair.

"No, I should be sorry sweetheart. I'm never forcing you to get married again. I almost sold you out to the devil"

His eyes met Kim Taejun's who eyed him critically and walked out of the church in pursuit of his runaway son.

"I'm going to be better Appa"

"Just be who you are... With some slight changes"

They laughed and Jisoo felt happier than she had ever been. She was only hoping that Taehyung escapes the guards.

Meanwhile, Taehyung busted out of the exit, entered the elevator, came out and left the hotel before diving into the flower garden behind the building. He could hear his father's guards close by and was even sure they had already seen him. He was out of breath, his chest beating fast as he looked towards the main road ready to take off again when he felt a hand around his arm. His heart nearly flew out of his chest as he turned but saw it was Jungkook. He heaved a huge sigh of relief.

"What are you doing here? How did you find me?"

Jungkook hushed him. "Look, we don't have much time. Your father's men have already found you. You can't outrun them forever. It's only a matter of time before they catch up with you so you need to come with me"

Taehyung shook his head "No, I must find Jimin"

"He's with me Tae!" Jungkook said.

Taehyung's eyes widened with happiness.

"Let's go! He's waiting for you"

Taehyung nodded with a small smile and took Jungkook's hand. They weren't seen anymore.

Gosh... This was so long! But I did it. Kim Taejun's secret has been exposed by an unlikely person. Jisoo and Taehyung became allies and stopped the doom of a wedding, now Taehyung has disappeared with Jungkook just like Jimin. A lot has happened in this chapter and soon, more will be revealed.
