Part One: Off To The City.

Looking at my long light brown hair flop over my shoulders a low worried sigh escaped my mouth, today my college class would fly to Seoul, South Korea as a trip considering we were learning the language. To be completely honest choosing this wasn't my choice, at the time I needed to pick another subject desperately and one of my two best-friends, Lucy, demanded I take Korean with her. For some odd reason it was her favourite country, I'm not entirely sure why but she always loved the culture and found the language and it's symbols to be extremely beautiful. However, I wasn't the only one she demanded takes Korean with her, our other best-friend Lauren was sucked in too. It wasn't that bad at all though, it was fun to learn. Our flight would be eleven hours and we were going to South Korea's most popular city Seoul.

With my attention turning from my face and hair to what I was wearing another sigh escaped, I wore a white baggy sweatshirt with some black tight tracksuit pants and of course my timberlands. Comfortable clothing for a long flight. Hurrying down the stairs my suitcase stood resting against the wall, on top of that was my black leather backpack. Opening it my mother had pre-packed it, even though I'd told her I'd do it myself. She'd gotten everything I wanted in there anyways. Inside there was: My worn and full sketch pad with some pencils and pens. Drawing wasn't just a hobby for me, I took it in college and some of my work was around the building and opening evening leaflets. That is the only thing I'll admit I'm good at. Along with my sketch pad there were some spare headphones just in case, a phone charger and my books.

Pulling my phone from my tracksuit's pockets my black iPhone 6s Plus greeted me with my thin red rubber case around it. Gently pressing the side button it flashed on, my wallpaper of books greeted me. A picture my cousin took once, she is big in photography and considering I can edit I did it for her, I liked the final piece and it became my lock screen. As the screen switched on the white text showed the time ' 1:17am ' we had to leave super early to make the plane.

‟ Cerys, hun? Are you ready? ‟ My mother called politely from the kitchen, her voice was soft and tired.

‟ Yeah! ‟ I said a little brighter and more awake.

Strolling into the kitchen she was cleaning the dishes from my dinner the night before, she asked if I wanted anything now but I refused. Never did like breakfast anyways. Once the plate was on the metal rack next to the sink she dried her hands and grabbed her keys, meanwhile I swung my backpack on and dragged my suitcase towards the door.

Once we were in the car I sat tucking my headphones under my sweatshirt and into my phone, and a few short seconds after my music began playing lightly into my left ear. The drive was quiet at first until my mother began sniffling.

Here we go...

She always got very over emotional and wasn't like me were I kept everything to myself she would just burst into tears. Quite embarrassing sometimes..

Two weeks away, gosh I'm going to miss you. ‟ She sniffled and her voice broke.

Mum, I'm nineteen twenty in a few months I can take care of myself. ‟ I sighed trying to reassure her.

I know, I know. Make sure you stay with the girls and try not to be usual wandering off Cerys. We all know she's a hazard. ‟ We laughed as we pulled up in front of the college.

There were a few lights on and the coach was already here but I wasn't late, altogether there were around ten of us going plus four teachers. Even my art teacher Miss Harris was coming, not sure why but she was my favourite and really good to get along with. Lucy was already here and stood on her phone leaning against a tree her suitcase next to her, I'm guessing Lauren was on her way. Climbing from the car Lucy cheered happily and jogged over as my mum came around to talk to me.

Promise you'll be safe, that goes for you too Lucy. Be careful and stay together. ‟ Before I could answer she's forced me into a hug. Hugging back tightly and embracing her she rubbed my back. ‟ Two weeks is a long time, I love you Cerys. ‟

I love you too mum. ‟ I smiled as she pulled away.

As she was getting back into the car Lucy called over, ‟ Don't worry I'll take good care of her! ‟ we waved and she drove off.

Not long after Lauren arrived and looked super annoyed she had to be up this early as usual, Lauren really loved her sleep. She angrily stormed over to us after saying goodbye to her mother, we waved her off also. Lauren was the oldest of the three of us, then me and then Lucy. You could most definitely say that Lauren was the mother of our group, whilst she did have her fun side she was very mature and stopped me and Lucy doing crazy dangerous things.

Lucy was tall, taller than both of us. She had tanned skin but not to dark with long blonde hair with aspects of brown, with bright blue eyes. Not only this but she was also very skinny which is why I never liked to stand directly next to her, to avoid giving my insecurities anything else to taunt me about. Lauren however had much darker skin was mixed race, her hair was black and in what I think is called box braids with the ends being grey. Lauren also had shiny brown eyes. It looked really cool and just like Lucy she was super pretty. Me however. Ugh. I was tall like the other two with long brown hair and somewhat bright blue eyes and I was the equivalent of a white wall next to them, meaning I'm very pale even when I tried to get a tan. I wouldn't get much and it would be gone in days. Oh well. My weight, I hated. I didn't like looking down at myself or wearing tight clothing, swimming costumes are my worst enemy.

Once the last few had arrived our bags were loaded and we got onto the coach, Lucy went to sit next to Lauren originally so I could space out and stretch my legs but Lauren wanted to sleep so Lucy came next to me. Sharing my headphones she put head back and waited until we got to the airport whilst I occupied myself with my book.

2:24am.

Finally! Stretching my legs and arms as we flopped of the coach Lauren still wanted sleep and it made laugh, once through baggage, security and everything else we were permitted to wander around the shops until our flight was called. There was only one thing on my mind right now, a drink. Most preferably an energy drink, with Lucy at my left and Lauren to my right we entered the store.

With Lucy on the seat next to me and we next to the window she cuddled up next to me as she was afraid, we hadn't even taken off and Lauren was asleep on the seat in front of us with a teacher next to her.

11 Hours Later...

Stepping out of the airport doors we were eventually here, welcome to Seoul, South Korea.
