(Sakura POV)

Exploring is for babies, but I'm doing it anyways. As soon as I'm done I will take a shower. Don't want to smell like some weird psycho. "I....like.... t-two... people..." I hear from around a corner a yard away. The voice sounded like Neji. How can somebody like two people? Disgusting! I get in a spot where nobody can see me and text Ino.

S: Ino-Pig, I just heard something while exploring!

I: Why were you exploring? Did you finally realize it's fun?! Yay!

S: it's Not fun, idiot. I'm taking a shower as soon as I get home. But I heard someone say that they like two people! Disgusting!

I: Is it about the fact it's LGBTQIAP+ or it's two ppl

S: LGBTQIAP+ obvi!

I: I guess I'm not telling you tomorrow then.

*Ino 😒 leaves the chat*

Huh? What's that supposed to mean? Eh, I'll text her again later. I peek over where the voice is coming from. It IS Neji! I sneak away, and run to my house. I take a shower, eat dinner, and go to bed.

(Neji POV)

The next day, I get ready the same way as yesterday and head for school. When I get there I meet up with the crushes, Naruto, and obviously Sasuke now that SasuNaru has sailed. We walk inside joking, as usual. But as soon as I get 10 feet away from the door, Sakura, the meanest girl in the school, comes up to me. "Hi, Sakura." I said. She snickered, "Have you told your friends yet?" Huh? Does she know? How'd she figure it out? "Told them what?" I asked, not showing how nervous I was. "Well, how you like two- MMMRPH HMMMPHRM!" She tried to let the cat out of the bag as Ino clamped her hand over Sakura's mouth. Ino looked at me. That look said, 'take your friends and go please', so I said, "C'mon guys, lets go." And walked off.

We got to class without any other annoying people trying to tell me something I already know. We all sat in our seats before Sakura and Ino came in. In the middle of Iruka's lesson, Sakura raised her hand and looked up at me mischievously. Iruka-Sensei called on her. "Yes, Sakura?" He said. Oh no. Oh no. She's gonna say it in front of the whole class, isn't she? Kill me now, I mean it. Sakura looked innocently at Iruka. "How come Neji likes two people?" She said loudly. Iruka looked mad. He never looks mad. "Sakura, you know telling another student's secret is against the rules, and he was already thinking everybody would hate him. Principal's office. now."

Half the class looked at me. Including Gaara, Lee, and Naruto. They looked surprised. Oh, that little voice is back.... The next few days were hard. I stayed home and locked my door. Didn't do anything. I decided to go back to school. That was a mistake. I avoided my friends, but a group of kids decided to bully me. They would make fun of me, hit me, all that. Sometimes they would even bring scissors and snip at my ear. I didn't say anything, they promised worse if I did. Then one day at class, they made a poster about how dumb and disgusting I was. A bunch of people laughed. They're right, you're disgusting. That little voice said everything they did, but made it make more sense. Then all my feelings slid away.

That was too much for me. I got up, ran out the door and then out of the school. I didn't care about anything other then getting home right then. As soon as I got to the end of the street though, I had to stop to catch my breath. Gai caught up with me and saw me crying, but I didn't look sad or hurt. "That doesn't look too youthful, Neji." He said. "Yeah. Sakura told them. Everyone. She told them..." I couldn't say it with emotion. That's because you're just a stupid kid who likes two people. The voice in my head told me.

"Slow down, Neji. Sakura told who about what?" He asked. "Everyone... about who I like..." I said robotically, no feeling at all. "How'd she figure that out?" He asked angrily. "Don't be so mad... you'd hate me too...." I replied. He opened his mouth, but before he could say anything, I took off again. This time he caught up with me easily. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Can't even outrun a teacher. That little voice said again, and I sat down but almost falling down. Gai crouched next to me. "Why would I hate you?" He asked worriedly. I quoted that little voice."Because I'm just a stupid kid who likes two people." I said blankly.His expression softened. "Neji, you know that's not stupid, right?" But then I used Gentle Fist on him and disabled his chakra. 

Since he couldn't move, when I ran off, he (surprise!) couldn't chase after me. I got home and ran up to my room after stopping in the kitchen for something. I locked the door. Alright, time to try getting at least the pain back. I thought. Then I took the knife and put it to my wrist. I sliced the flesh. Switch hands, repeat. Do it again. Downstairs door opens. Hear footsteps on the stairs. Doorknob turning. Dropping the knife. Into the bathroom for me. "NEJI?!" I hear. Forget about bandaging my wrists. Sit on the floor. Lock the door. Darkness seeping into my vision. Bleeding a lot. Pitch black.

Waking up is hard. All I feel is pain. I'm not scared, not anything. Just in pain and dizzy. I opened my eyes and sit up. I reach up to touch the back of my head and see my arms are covered in something warm and sticky. What's that again? Oh yeah, my blood. I finally am able to get up and see a lot of it where I was. I hear talking outside my room. Something like, "I can't get the door open." I unlock the bathroom door and see a bloody knife on the floor when I open it. Forgot about that. "Neji?! Are you ok?" I hear from outside my room. "Yep." I try to say. I can't say anything. 

Everything goes black again.

(Hinata's POV)

I was talking to Gai about how the door is locked and I can't open it. *Click* I hear his bathroom door open. "Neji?! Are you ok?" I call. He doesn't answer. What's wrong with him? Can he not answer? Why isn't he telling me?  *THUMP* on his floor. "NEJI!" I shout. Gai kicks the door open and we see my cousin on the floor, unconscious. "Oh my god!" On the floor about 2 feet from him is a bloodied knife. I look at him again. His arms are all covered in the same stuff. I rush over to him. "Gai! We need to get him to the hospital!" I say, but I didn't need to. Neji has already been picked up.

(At the hospital) 

They took him again. Said he had a 49% survival rate if they got to him right away. I went to the waiting room for the second time. Took out my phone, same as last time.

H: guys!!

N: Wut hinata 😑 

G: is he ok?!? All ik is he left class crying but looked empty

L: is Neji alright??!

H: I found him in his room and his arms were covered in blood, guys!!'!

Them all: hospital again!!?!

H: yeah!

They got here a minute later and sat down worried next to me. Gaara, Lee, Naruto, and Sasuke came. None of them looked bored, or like they were there because I hoped they would be.

(Neji POV)

I woke up to voices. My lower arms sent out searing pain. I couldn't open my eyes, so I tried to say, where am I? But it came out as, "mph mhhh nrrf" and the voices stopped. "Are you awake?" A voice I didn't recognize said. I was able to say, "Have I been kidnapped?" I heard a small laugh. "No, no, your in the hospital." I remembered what happened and that made a lot more sense. They rolled me over to a recovery room because they were just finishing up bandaging my arms. You're wasting medical supplies. It said. I am. When they leave me alone, I start to unwrap the bandages.

When I'm done unwrapping the left arm, I start on my right arm. When I'm halfway done, Hinata comes in and I stuff my arms under the blanket so she doesn't suspect anything (the bandages he took off are under his pillow). She sat down next to me and I wince. Stupid arms! Can't even take being touched by blanket! That little voice scolded me. She looks confused and begins lifting the blanket to look at my arms. "I'm fine." I say. She looks skeptical but stops anyways. "Ok.... but I texted your friends and they're waiting for a visit." She said. "Ok. How's feeling?" I ask. "Well, I talked to Shino again today....he's so cool!" She said happily. "Does he need to die?" I look at her.

"Well I like him. So no. Imma go now, so see ya bro." She waved and left (I know their cousins ok she can still call him bro). She walks back in like she was forgetting something. "Oh yeah, guess why Ino helped out at first? Apparently she's bi and knows how it feels to be unaccepted." She walked out for real. Naruto walks in with Sasuke. "Hey, Neji! How's being almost dead?" He joked in that annoying way of his. "It's fine, thanks." I say, and he laughs. Is there a reason to laugh anymore? No. My 'buddy' said to me. "Naruto told me that you wouldn't say who you like. Is that because you like two people?" Sasuke asks. I nod. "Also because I like Cherry and Blackberry." Sasuke nodded. Naruto just looked at me confused. "You don't like any other fruits?" He asked. "No, he's using code names." Sasuke hinted.

He still didn't get it. "For who?" I facepalmed and they looked at me like I was crazy. "What?" I asked, and realized I took my arm out from the blanket. I quickly put it back under. They got up and ran out frantically. A few minutes later a doctor came in and took off my blanket. Then he went out of the room and came back in with new bandages. He put them on my arms and told me not to do that again. "Do what?" I asked innocently. He rolled his eyes. I rolled my eyes back. He left and the two this whole thing started because of came in. Gaara looked upset, I wouldn't know why. Rock Lee just looked sad.

"Why did you take off the bandages?" Gaara asked disappointed. They sat down next to me. I was aware of my face turning pink but I couldn't do anything about it. Gaara's expression changed to a worried one. "Are you ok? You're face is pink." He told me. " I know." I replied, and since I didn't really feel embarrassed, I also said, "and I know why." I blinked. He looked confused. "Why, then?" Lee asked. I answered truthfully. "Because of something. I shouldn't tell you now but I will, probably later than sooner." They both turned to me. "Hm?" Gaara requested.  "Sorry, I thought I told you. I'm not allowed to tell." 

Gaara shook his head cutely. "Oh, Neji." Rock Lee made this face: (-.-). Gaara asked something, I wasn't paying attention because I was admiring his eyes. I nodded. He lay down next to me. "Am I allowed to do that, too?" Lee asked with a happy shine in his eyes. "Sure." I said. He did the same thing as Gaara. We lay there for a bit, and then I got drowsy because of how comfortable I was. I heard soft breathing from my left, where Gaara was. 2 minutes later, I drifted off to sleep, but not before I heard some snoring to my right.
