Elsa Breaks Free
Elsa stood on some ice shards wondering what to do next. She had reached the palace, somewhat dilapidated from the chandelier falling those months ago, but otherwise in good condition. With a few waves of her hand, it was restored to its former glory. Elsa grinned. She had forgotten how good it felt to use her powers like this, on such a grand scale. The cold stung her cheeks, but she rather liked it. Walking to the balcony, she climbed onto the railing, not wanting even to be restrained by something she herself had put there. It felt good. For the first time since arriving, she allowed herself to think about her family and friends. They had most likely noticed her absence by now. Anna would be frantic. Isabelle- Isabelle might understand. She would convince Anna at least to stay. Although, there was nothing stopping Isabelle herself from coming. But if she did, Elsa would deal with it when the time came. At least, then it wouldn't be the piercing heartbreak she would feel if Anna came. Elsa sighed, and could see her breath. She couldn't afford to think about Anna. It was too painful. And not to mention complicated. She looked up. She looked up. There was no one here, no one to make her think or act a certain way. She had never felt this wonderful, this free. She then fell of the railing. It was like nothing she had ever felt before, her screams resounding off the cliff walls, her her heart pounding so loudly she thought she would throw up. Adrenaline coursed through her veins. Then suddenly, it stopped. She realized she was holding herself up. She was about halfway between the rail and the ground, with some kind of icy thickness under her, though it wasn't quite solid. And then the abstractness of what she was doing hit her.. She was flying! "I didn't know I could do that." she whispered to herself, as if saying it aloud would make the flying seem more real. Then she laughed. Soon, she was laughing so hard, tears ran down her face. This felt so... beautiful. That was the best word to describe it, but really, there wasn't one. She flew all around the entire palace over and over again, laughing the whole time. This is freedom, she thought. This is what my life was meant to be.
