In Metha mansion.

Neela and dayavnti were in kitchen and preparing dinner for khanna family who was going to come an hour later...

Ashish and aman sitting in hall was watching tv whereas avni all curled up in her bed cried recalling what happened in the office..

Avni lightly peeped out from duvet and looks around the room.. she saw everything was on the floor and scattered... she threw duvet over her body and sat on bed..

She wiping her tears gets down the bed and picked the things up and kept it aide.. she starts cleaning the room while crying..

20 minutes later she slumped back down on the bed.. she stares in the ceiling when she heard her phone ringing.. she ignored the first time but picked it later when continuously rang.

She saw the caller id and immediately declined the call.. she wasn't in mood talk to anyone especially the person who is calling her now..

She kept her phone back on table and went to  washroom to fresh up.. she got change into comfortable pyjamas.

She then laid back on bed and closed her eyes trying to sleep but she couldn't.. she opens her eyes as she remembered about khanna family coming over her house for dinner..

Khanna family means him too.. she took deep breath and thought to speak to Neela about not meeting anyone..

Avni taking another deep breath walked out it her room.. as she climbed down the stairs she could hear familiar voices.. she was still confident ignoring them and secretly moves to kitchen but was caught by Bebe who saw her going to kitchen..

Bebe : avni.. where are  you going?

Avni plastering fake smiles turns around and looks at Bebe.

Avni : woh... Bebe... I was feeling thirsty....

Avni answering Bebe rushed to kitchen to avoid any further questions leaving everyone confuse.

Avni : maa..

Neela : princess do you want something?

Avni : maa... water.

Neela nodding her head filled glass of water and passed to avni who gulped the entire glass of water in one go. Avni gave t he glass back and looks at Neela.

Avni : maa I'm not feeling well so can I sleep.

Neela : are you okay princess? Should I call the doctor?

Avni : no maa.. I'll be fine by next morning.. I just need rest..

Neela : but princess khanna family is here.. they will feel bad not seeing you with us..

Avni : maa please..

Dayavnti : it's okay Avni. After dinner you can sleep..

Avni tried to say no but abs didn't disobey dayavnti words.. she went back to hall and saw everyone there expect one person who was not seen in the hall at all.. she got confused thinking why isn't he with them..

Avni chucking her thoughts sat beside neha and lightly passed her smile.

Neha : hello avni di! How are you?

Avni : I'm good Neha.. how are you? How is your life going on?

Neha : I'm good Di too.. life is superb too..

Avni smiles at her and got engage talking to neha to distract her mind..

All were engaging in talking when they heard Neil's voice from the entrance.. all of them looks at the  entrance and saw Neil walking inside while his focus on the call...

Neil : yes... yeah.. I'll meet you directly you there.. yeah.. sure.. okay done.. tomorrow morning then.. yeah.. bye...

Neil hanged the call and kept it in his pocket.. as he lifted his gaze up he got shocked seeing as many eyes on him.. one pair of eyes caught his attention which was avni staring him confusingly and suspiciously..

Neil : why are you all staring me like that?

Bebe : whose call was it that you're so busy?

Neil : Bebe what do mean by that? I don't have secret girlfriend that you guys would doubt like that..

Prakash: so you admit that you're finally in love. Who is the girl?

Neil shook his head and took seat beside Bebe.

Neil : dad come on.. I don't have girlfriend.. I'm talking to someone doesn't mean that person has to be girl specifically my girlfriend.

Ashish : but still Neil you didn't answer whose call was it?

Neil : uncle you don't trust me.. fine all of you want to know who I was talking to then listen.. I was talking to commissioner sir where I have got job offered in Mumbai..

All made oh face but one of them sighed thinking it wasn't another girl who he was talking to.

Neela comes out and calls them for dinner.. all starts going to dinning area and taking their seat.. in all these Neil didn't took glance of avni nor she tried to look at Neil.. she avoided looking at him..

Neela and swetha starts serving everyone when avni shouted making her flinch...

Neela : what happened princess? Why did you shout?

Avni : maa you can't serve that to Neil... he is allergic to peanuts...

All of them looks at the dish then Neil who nodded his head..

Neil : aunty avni is right I'm allergic to peanuts..

Neela : I'm sorry it slipped of my head that you're allergic to peanuts..

Neil : it's okay aunty..

Neela then starts serving Neil something else which didn't contained peanuts.. while Neil smiled knowing avni still knows about allergies and cares about him..

After dinner all were having ice cream for the dessert expect avni who went to her room.. Neil kept looking at her room which was noticed by Neela.. she thought to send Neil up with some excuse..

Neela : Neil beta.. you would go to Avni's room and ask her if she wants ice cream or not?

Neil looks at her then nodding his head went to Avni's room.. he knocks her room door.

Avni : maa I'm sleeping.. please you go..

Neil heard this and understood she is lying. Neil pushed the door and went inside to see her lying down on bed and staring the ceiling..

Neil : so this is how you sleep miss avni Metha? I never knew people could sleep like this too.

Avni snapped her head towards door and saw Neil..

Avni : what are you doing here Neil?

Neil : that's not your concerns avni. Why are you lying or should I say pretending to sleep?

Avni: why do you think I would answer you Neil? Neil leave me alone..

Neil : I would leave alone when I get my old best friend avni back.. Mark my words.. I really mean it..

Neil turns to leave but stopped hearing Avni's next word..

Avni: what about the girl you love Neil? What about her Neil? Would you leave her when you get your best friend back?

Neil chuckles hearing her and turning to her looks at her..

Neil: never.. I will not leave my love nor my best friend... you know why. I wouldn't leave any of them because they are important for me... I need both of them in my life.. I want my love because I love her and I want my best friend because she is my life.. they are my life.. I can't lose one of them just to keep one.. I never will do it..

Neil turns his foot back but shocked seeing Neela there.. Neil giving her fake smile leaves from there..

Neela : princess what is Neil saying? He is in love. Do you know who he loves?

Avni : maa I don't know what you are saying... I think you heard something wrong.

Neela: are you trying to fool me princess.. I heard Neil saying my love... does that mean he loves someone... I still can't believe it... that means I can tell swetha to fix his marriage with that girl.. swetha would be so happy hearing about Neil's love... she would go crazy...

Avni : maa.. why would you tell swetha aunty? Why would she get happy?

Neela : why don't mother be happy when her son found love of his life. Neil will get married soon.. wow.. this is good news.. I should share this to everyone..

Neela was going to rush out but stopped hearing Avni's voice..

Avni : he loves me...

Neela eyes went wider open.. she couldn't believe it.. Neela stood there shocked... avni sighed and walks to Neela and drags her to bed.. she made Neela sit and sat beside her..

Neela composing herself looks at avni.

Neela: he loves you.... when did this happen?

Avni : he loves me maa... since college days...

Neela : how do you know he loves you?

Avni : he proposed me the night before he left for his police training..

Neela again got shocked and now understood why avni was so silent from that day..

Neela  was going to say another word but before she could she was called by dayavnti..

Neela : princess we will talk about this later.. I'm going down..

Avni nodded her head.. Neela kissing Avni's forehead went to downstairs to see khanna family leaving.. her eyes tried finding Neil but she couldn't..

Neela : where did Neil go?

Swetha : he got phone call.. he is outside..

Neela nodded her head.. khanna family bidding by left the Metha mansion.. even in Metha family everyone retired to their room expect Neela who went to Avni's room..

Neela saw the lights on which avni is still awake. She pushing the door enters inside the room and saw avni lying down on bed...

Neela : princess why didn't you sleep yet?

Avni: maa I thought you want to talk..

Neela closing the door went to bed and sat down.. avni kept her head in Neela's lap.. Neela starts caressing her hair..

Neela : princess do you love Neil?

Avni snapped her head towards Neela who was waiting for her answer.

Avni : maaa...... woh.....

Neela : it's okay princess.. I'm not pressuring you.. share you feelings whenever you want..

Avni gave little smile to Neela.

Neela : princess what exactly happened that day?

Avni narrating Neela what happened that day went into flashback.

Flashback.

They finished college after three months.. Neil then applied for his police training which he immediately got accepted.. he was going to leave for his training  next week....

Avni was very upset knowing Neil be going away from her that too for two years.. she sitting in room and was thinking about Neil when her phone rang.. she picks her phone up and saw Neil calling her.. she smiled brightly and picked the call up..

Avni : Neil hello! Where are you? You didn't come to meet me.

Neil : sorry avni.. I was busy packing for tomorrow..

Avni's face changed into sad.

Avni : are you done with your packing? Neil do you have to join police department? Can't you do business like me?

Neil : avni my dream and goal is to become police officer..

Avni : hmm... why did you call me?

Neil : could you get ready at 7.. I'll come and pick you up..

Avni : are we going out?

Neil : yeah.. kind off.. could you get ready by 7..

Avni : okay I'll be ready.. come soon..

Neil : I'll come.. bye!

Avni: bye Neil..

Avni ending the call decided to get ready.. it was 6.. means after hour Neil will be here to pick her up.. she took a pair of dress and went to washroom to change.

Avni coming out of washroom curled her hair up.. she left it open... she wore red dress.

Avni getting ready to took clutch with her.. she stuffed some money and her phone in the clutch.. she walks down to see no one at home.. she waited in the hall for Neil..

As the clock handle strikes at exact 7 Avni's phone rang.. avni took her phone out and saw Neil calling her..

Avni picks the phone up.

Avni : hello Neil..

Neil : come out avni!

Avni: okay..

She ended the call and locking the main door walked up to Neil who sitting in the car.. she got inside the car and looks at him..

Avni : where are we going Neil?

Neil : patience avni.. you will know soon.. by the way you're so gorgeous...

Avni : thank you Neil.. even you look good..

( Neil's outfit)

Neil : only good but it's okay.. shall we leave.

Avni nodded her head which Neil starts driving the car to the destination..

In half an hour later they reached to the destination.. avni frowned seeing the isolated place but nevertheless she trusted Neil so she got out of the car.. even Neil got out of the car..

Neil : Come..

Neil leads the way and avni followed Neil.. they stopped in middle when avni roams her eyes around and got shocked seeing the decorations with lights.. she turns to look at Neil but got shocked as she saw Neil sitting on his knees with ring in his hand.. she gasped at him..

Avni: Neil... what...

Neil: avni... let me speak today... I can't keep all these inside for so long.. avni I don't know when and how I fell in love with you... avni I'm not expecting answer for you..I'm not going to bore you with long speech of mine but all I want to say before I leave... is I love you Avni with all my heart... I really love you avni... I feel in love with you because you're innocent.. you're too Adorable.. you're too cute.. your smile made me fall for you... I really love you... I was scared to confess but I can't really kept it inside me... I love you avni.. will you accept my feelings for you...

Neil looks at avni with hope but his hope crashed into zillions pieces of glass when he heard her next word..

Avni: I want to go now..

Neil smiled lightly and stood up..

Neil : come I'll drop you..

Neil dropped the ring on the floor and walks away from there followed by avni..

Neil dropped avni home.. no words exchanged between them. Neil after dropping avni went back to the place and holding the ring which was on the floor cried...

Flashback ends..

Neela : princess why didn't you have him answer when you knew you don't love him... he would be hurt when you didn't give him answer...

Avni kept herself numb.. Neela looks at her.

Neela : sleep princess..

Neela sang Lori to avni and caressing her hair.. avni slept but leaving Neela in thought..
