Everyone were sitting in college canteen and gossiping when they heard Avni's voice. All of them looks up and passed her beautiful smile.

Juhi : hey Avni! What took you so long?

Avni grabbing her seat beside suhneria and taking sip of water looks at Juhi.

Avni : lesson got stretched. What are you guys doing here? Don't you all have lesson?

Ali : our teacher is absent!

Avni nodded her head and roams her eyes around the table to find one person but didn't  find the person who she is looking. This was noticed by hey friends who gave teasing look to each other.

Vidyut : avni why are you looking around?

Avni got startled hearing vidyut and bowed her head down immediately. She then composing herself looks up again at vidyut.

Avni : nowhere but where is Neil? I mean he is not with you guys?

Tara: oh Neil! You're looking for Neil.. actually Neil...

Avni : where is he?

Riya : guys stop twisting words. Actually avni  you aware of Neil joining recently to basketball team.. right..

Avni nodded her head as Neil told her before he gave his name to the coach.

Juhi: Neil is not with us because he is busy practicing basketball game with his team. They are having one match next week to which they are really busy.

Avni : oh! I didn't knew about the match.. doesn't Neil come for break?

Ali : he does but that time we all have lesson.

Avni : hmm!

Avni ( mind) he doesn't have time for me anymore.... wait up avni why did you say he doesn't have time for you? Who is he to you?

Avni comes out her thoughts as she heard sitara yelling Neil's name. Avni turned her face backwards and saw Neil coming while wiping his sweat.. she smiled lightly seeing him.

Neil : hey guys!

All : hey Neil!

Ali : how you come you got break now?

Neil : the coach had to leave early for some work but there is another practice at evening.

Juhi : practice at evening.. does that mean you won't come to my house to gather up?

Neil : unfortunately no . I'm sorry Juhi but I really can't make it. I'm responsible for my team. Being the captain of the team I can't miss any practice match.. sorry!

Juhi : it's okay Neil! I understand!

Neil smiles and sat beside avni and passed her smile but she ignored and continued sipping her drink. Neil got confuse with her behaviour but shrugged off thinking everyone is here that why she doesn't want to talk to him.

Avni : guys I should leave now... my next lesson will start soon.

Neil : avni yaar can't you bunk it... please.. spend time with us..

Avni : I'm going guys... bye!

Avni grabbing her bag left leaving everyone confuse and in thoughts too.

Neil : what happened to her? She didn't even talk to me?

Tara : she looks angry with you Neil... the way she stormed out from canteen anyone can tell she is pissed at you...

Neil : but what have I done to make her piss at me? I just came..

Juhi :  Neil you're not getting what Tara means.. she means avni is angry with you because you don't talk to her or spend any time with her. .. she is occupied with her lesson while you are with basketball game.. you both get break different times..

Neil tried understanding Juhi words and thought when was the last time he spent his time with avni. Whenever he got break she would be in lesson.

Neil ( mind) looks like i have to something to cool madam's anger down.. but how will I do that?

Neil was thinking way to cool Avni's anger down but before that his phone rang breaking his thoughts. He took his phone out and saw Neela calling him.

Neil excused himself and went up corner of the canteen and lifts Neela call.

Neil : hello aunty!

Neela : hello Neil! Can I ask you a favour please?

Neil : aunty don't say please.. you can ask many favour as you want. What can I do for you?

Neela :  I and mom are going to one of mom friends house tonight even Ashish and aman is coming but avni can't make it because of her college.. so is it possible if she stays at your house till tomorrow morning..

Neil : that's all aunty! Off course she can stay at my house any time. You don't worry about avni.. we will take care of avni. You all enjoy there.

Neela : thank you Neil!

Neil : no worried aunty!

Neela : and yes please before coming to your home come to Metha house as I have prepared something for you.

Neil: okay aunty I'll be there!

Neela : now I'll hang the call.. see you at home!

Neil : yeah bye!

Neil ended the call and moves back to his friends.

Neil : guys are you all still on break?

Riya : think so,why?

Neil: actually I was thinking to do something.

Suhneria: Sorry Neil but I have to shopping and get some grocery.

Neil : it's okay suhneria.. should I drop you to markets?

Suhneria:  I'll manage Neil. But thank you!

Neil smiles and looks at his friends who was waiting for Neil's idea.

Tara : what's the plan then?

Neil : I was thinking why not plan some sports in hall... I mean let's get our body moving.. it been ages since we all played any sports together. What do you all think?

Riya : not bad idea but which sport will we play?

Neil : you leave that all on me.. are you all willing to play?

All nodded their head expect suhneria.

Neil : that's good then.. I shall meet you all in the sports hall in 5 minutes.

All : okay!

Neil left the canteen and went to Avni's class while in the canteen suhneria excusing herself left to Markets.

5 minutes later everyone met Neil in the sports hall expect avni who was not aware of all these happening behind her back.

Neil : okay the sports we will play is badminton. Help from the some students nets and badminton equipment is over there set for us. Even some other students will play with us.

Juhi : wow that's sounds so much fun.. can't wait to play.. but Neil why didn't avni come? You could have called her too?

Neil : she is in her lesson.. she has unit test next week so it won't be good to disturb her.

All agreed.

Neil: grab the badminton racket and shutter and get into your position!

Everyone took their badminton racket and shutter and stood over the net with partner.

Neil was paired with one of the student who was in basketball team. Others choice their own partner.

All starts playing. They played for two hours till they got tired and sat on the floor.

Juhi : it was so much fun.. we should do this more often..

Riya : I agree with you Juhi.. all thanks to Neil we got chance to play badminton once again.

Neil only smiled seeing their smile but one person smile was missing which was none than his love who he had to make it up. Neil was ready for that too.

After college everyone left to home expect Neil who was standing at the entrance of the college and waiting for avni who was still inside. Neil was leaning to the gate and looking the entrance time by time when he saw avni coming with one student and laughing with them.

Neil : hey avni!

He ran to them.

Avni : what are you doing here? Don't you have practice?

Neil : no I don't.. it's cancel again! Come I'll drop you.

Avni : no need.. I'll go by myself. You go home.

Neil : avni please come with me.

Student : Avni why don't you go with him?

Avni passed her look to which she got quiet.

Neil: please avni!

Avni : fine let's go!

Neil got happy and holding her hand dragged her to his car. He opens the door for and looks at her. Avni sat down without saying a word. Neil then to driver side and sat down.

Neil : seatbelt avni!

Avni puts her seatbelt and looks at straight. Neil sighed and starts the engine. He drove away looking at road in between glancing at her who kept straight face.

Neil : avni!

Avni : Neil don't bother yourself.. drive quietly.

Neil didn't say word after that and kept his focus on driving the car.

Neil stopped the car at Metha house and looks at avni who was ready to leave the car.

Avni rushed out of the car and walks to the entrance of the Metha house. Neil follows her. Neil rang the doorbell and stood behind her who didn't bother acknowledging his presence.

Neela opened the door and let them come in.

Neela: bacha pack your bag for one night. You're going to stay with Neil at his house..

Avni gets shocked hearing neela.

Avni : why maa? Where are you going?

Neela : we are going to your Dadi friend house. No one will be at home.. you refused to come because of your college..

Avni : maa why at Neil house? I can stay here alone... please I don't want go with him..

Neela : did you both fight again?

Avni : maa why do you always think we fight with each other.. I don't want to go with me..

Neil :aunty it's okay if she doesn't want to come.. I'll tell mom avni doesn't like to our house.. it's okay I'll make mom understand..

Neela immediately understood what Neil was trying but avni felt bad thinking what would swetha think if she doesn't go with khanna mansion.

Avni : maa I'll go khanna mansion..

Avni ran to her room leaving Neil and Neela smiling.

Neela : so why is my daughter angry with you?

Neil rubs his nape and looks at Neela who was waiting for his answer..

Neil : she is just angry because I don't give my time to her..

Neela : Neil.. sorry you have to bear her angry.. sometimes she is acts like child.

Neil: aunty you don't have to worry about avni.. I know what will make her happy.

Neela smiles.

Neela : take seat! I'll bring smoothie for you which I have made it.

Neil nodding his head sat down and taking his phone scrolled down while Neela went to kitchen.

Neil was scrolling his phone when he heard avni voice.. he looks up from his phone and saw her coming down with her backpack.

Neil blinks his eyes few times seeing her. Avni comes near Neil and waved his hand front of Neil's face..

Avni : Neil.. Neil..

Neil comes back to earth and gave her sheepish smile.

Avni : where are you lost? Where is maa?

Neela : I'm here princess... look what I made for you both..

Neil thanked Neela for coming on right time..

Avni : smoothie... wow maa I love you so much..

Avni kept her backpack down and took one glass of smoothie and starts sipping making loud noises.

Neela : Neil you also take yours..

Neil nodding his head took his smoothie and starting drinking his.. as they were drinking Ashish entered from office and sat down beside Neil.

Ashish : where is my princess going?

Avni : papa Neil's house..

Ashish : Neela where is maa?

Neela : she is in her room packing.. you also get fresh up..  by 8 we have to leave..

Ashish nodded his head and patting AvNeil's head went to his room.

Neil and avni bidding bye to Metha after an hour left Metha house.

Neil was driving to khanna mansion looks at avni who looked happy after visiting Metha house..

Neil : avni.. I'm sorry for not spending time with you.. please forgive me..basketball tournament is really important for me and college too.. from next week I won't leave any second to be with you... please only till next week I'm busy with basketball practice.. please.. I don't like when you are angry with me...

Avni : I know you're busy with basketball practice but you won't have any time for me.. I'm angry with because I told you to join the team.. I regret making you join the team... you don't spare time for me.. I miss my friend being with me..  I really miss your company Neil..

Neil : I'm sorry avni.. promise from next week all the things we missed together will catch up.. avni look over there..

Avni looks outside of window and saw him looking at street food.. her stomach rumbled seeing the food..

Avni : you will allow me to have them?

Neil : yes.. if this makes you happy then yes.. will you come and have them.

Avni : yes..

Neil stops the car at side and both comes out of the car and walks to stall.

Neil : Bahiya two plates of golgappa.

The person nodded and starts making it while Avni's mouth was watering seeing the way the person was adding things in.. the person gave the plate to them. Avni starts relishing the golgappa.

They moved to few others stall and had many street food. Lastly they brought kulfi and was leaning to Neil's car and eating.

Avni : thank you Neil.. I enjoyed my evening with you..

Neil : pleasure is mine avni.. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Avni smiles and ate her kulfi.

Avni : Neil when is your match?

Neil : on Friday.. will you be coming to support me?

Avni : off course I'll cheer for my friend Neil..

Neil : we should leave now.. mom would be waiting for us.. I told her you would be coming to stay.

Avni nodded her head and sat in the car. Neil sat on driver seat and start driving to khanna mansion. Background music played.

Neil stops the car at khanna mansion. Both of them walks to khanna mansion soon as Neil opened the door.

Swetha : I was waiting for you both..

Neil : mom sorry we got late.

Swetha : it's fine! Go fresh up. Avni neha would be in her room.. you can go there.

Avni nodded her head and went to neha room while Neil to his.
