I just felt like doing a background chapter for this story since my other stories have them, and, why not?

So here ya go!

1. Love came with an Umbrella was actually an One shot idea I got late 2015. But since I couldn't write a chapter that long, I broke it down into five chapters.

2. The first chapter was written on 2015 but the next four chapters were written on the same day during January 26th.

3. Shin is actually Japanese. Yeah, I never mentioned his ethnicity (or anyone's for that matter) nor his surname since I didn't want people to judge him for his background.

4. Same with Scarlett and Shawn. In my mind, Scarlett is Italian and Shawn, a mix between Irish and Mexican.

5. Scarlett was actually going to be deaf and I wanted her to be a music prodigy but for an one shot, that theme was quite big. So I made her mute.

6. Shawn really shouldn't have had this much scenes lol. In my mind, Shawn was Shin's friend who says 'you're even creeping me out!' but somewhere while writing, he became another main character and hence, the trio.

7. If this book had been any longer, I would've made Shawn and Miss Bennett an item ;)

8. Shawn was meant to be moody and arrogant but again, somewhere while writing, he became sassy and arrogant.

9. In my mind, Scarlett actually confesses her crush for Shin and how she was shy because of her disability. But since this is a very short story and bringing that kind of ending would seem forced, I left it to an open ending.

10. Some people have asked if they go to school together. Actually no. Only Shin and Shawn go to school together. The place were they met Scar is a music school.

11. And many ask, does Shawn have a crush on Shin?

The bromance between the guys is something I love, but sadly Shawn doesn't have a crush on Shin. I love Shawn too much to give him a painful unrequited crush on his best friend ;)

12. Will there be any epilogue, bonuses or sequels?

Nope baby dolls. Sorry.
