Chapter 2: Awkward And Guilty

--------

A/N: AAAAAAA I'm so sorry that this chapter is very late! I was so focused on writing my other fanfic that I kinda put this one on hold, but don't worry, I'll figure out a way to keep both updated without it being hectic.

Warnings: Cringey, possibly cute, depending on your opinion, Negative thoughts.

"Suga?!? SUGA!!"

This was the last thing that Suga was able to process before the world before him had turned black.

To say that Daichi was panicking would be an understatement. Without thinking about it much, the Captain immediately rushed towards the silver haired male and caught him just before the vice captain could fall on the concrete. He knew that he had to take him to the Nurses Office. Without hesitation, he picked Suga up bridal style and made his way.

Whilst on his way, the bell had rang for the second time, indicating that Lunch time was over. At this point, he knew that he was late for class. Despite having such knowledge, making sure Sugawara was safe was a higher priority.

He rushed to the Nurse's Office, as he knew that he was already late to class. Running as if life depended on it, he made it, panting and heavy breathing present as he tried to regain his breath. Of course, knowing his luck, the door was closed, so he simply kicked the door open.

The nurse's office looked pretty much like a mini hospital room, with the exception of having limited equipment. The most that the nurse could do in that office was perform a blood transfusion. Despite the limitations as to what they could do, the injuries the students gotten were often not very severe. Long story short; they had nothing to worry about.

The nurse jumped (looking quite frightened) at the sound of the door being kicked down. The poor woman wasn't paid enough to be jump scared like this out of nowhere. Usually, the students would just barge in at an emergency. However, in this case, this is the first time someone physically kicked down a door. She was scared at the thought that she's going to have to pay for the door to be fixed.

"Sorry miss, but...Suga passed out..."

The nurse in the office was quite surprised to see Daichi, but that quickly faded when she noticed the boy. She immediately noticed that his skin was an unhealthy pale. She presumed it was from not eating or sleeping regularly.

"O-oh my! Just place him on one of the beds and go to class, I'll take care of him from here. I'll also give you a note to give to your teacher." The nurse instructed. With that, Daichi did as he was told and quickly rushed to class, the note on his hand.

With Daichi finally gone, the nurse got the chance to check up on the unconscious boy. Once she finally done that, she was able to figure out what caused him to faint.

It was caused from lack of sleep and the body not having enough energy to move anymore. Likely due to the lack of eating.

Suga's eyelids opened softly to reveal a white room. Based on that observation alone, he figured out that he was probably in the Nurse's Office. Despite that, he wasn't exactly sure how he got there in the first place. That was, until he thought back and realised that Daichi was with him at the time he'd fainted.

The thought of the captain carrying him alone caused the silver haired boy to not only blush a soft shade of pink, but also feel guilty. Daichi made sure that Sugawara was safe and healthy while there Suga was not being able to do the same for him. At least, that's what the silver haired believed.

You need to do something to make up for being selfish and weak.

Poor Daichi bothered to look after your sorry ass buy you couldn't do the same for him

Those thoughts continued to spiral through Suga's mind, but stopped as soon as he heard the door to the Nurse's office open. Suga hoped that it was Daichi who came in, to later be disappointed when he saw that it was the nurse.

"So, how are you feeling? Sugawara Kōshi, right?" The nurse asked, her soft voice being quite soothing.

"Yup, that's me, Sugawara Kōshi, and I feel just fine, I'm just kind of tired." The silver haired replied, being honest since there was no point in lying if she had already saw him unconscious.

The nurse smiled happily upon hearing that he felt fine. She went towards her desk and opened up a drawer. Inside the drawer was a homemade bento that she was going to eat. However, since she bought food from the cafeteria her hard work went to waste. She took the bento out of the drawer, and walked towards Suga.

"Here," the nurse spoke, offering the bento to the silver haired male, "I made this for myself for lunch, but my hard work went to waste since I bought food from the canteen anyway."

Suga was about to refuse the bento, until he saw just how serious the nurse was in giving the food to him. So, in the end, the vice captain hesitantly took the bento and ate the food quietly. The nurse smiled at the sight of the boy enjoying the food, even if he didn't want to take it at first.

The truth was, Suga had actually forgotten to eat breakfast and make himself lunch due to him being tired. So in truth, the last time he actually ate anything was yesterday morning. He was so captivated by his thoughts about Daichi that he forgot that eating and sleep were more important.

"One things for sure, you do look less pale now, so your condition has improved positively. In a moment Daichi will arrive to pick you up-" The nurse started her speech about the boy's condition.

"Wait, how long was I knocked out for?" Suga interrupted. Out of all things that had happened, that question apparently wasn't one of the first questions he'd ask.

"Well, it's 6pm now, so if I had to guess, roughly 4 hours."

Upon hearing that, Suga was very surprised. He was disappointed in himself for not looking after his well being better. He was pulled out of his train of thought when he heard the door open again. This time though, it was Daichi who'd entered.

"Welcome back, I presume you're here to pick up Sugawara now." The nurse spoke, in an attempt to fill up the awkward silence that had filled the room.

"Will Sugawara be okay now?" Daichi asked, purely out of worry for the boy.

"Yes, he will be, turned out that he just didn't eat enough and didn't get enough sleep." The nurse replied, pausing in the process to gather her clip board where she wrote about Suga's condition, "As long as he eats regularly and gets enough sleep then there'll be no reason for him to come back here." she finished her report on that, feeling glad that she had said her part.

Daichi was relieved to hear the news that the vice captain was going to be fine. Earning the signal from the nurse that they are free to leave, Sugawara got up and walked towards Daichi, occasionally feeling his head spinning but chose to ignore it. However, it didn't go unnoticed by the captain. So, the captain warped him arm around Suga's waist and helped him walk out of the school.

"So, how was practice?" The vice captain asked, feeling embarrassed, ashamed, and guilty. Daichi is going through extra lengths to make sure he's okay. Then there's Suga, who believed that he had done nothing to earn the treatment that he was receiving from his crush.

So, I'm finally admitting that it's a crush huh?

Suga thought to himself as the realization of how he was in love hit him like a brick falling to the ground. He didn't exactly hate the feeling, but he didn't love it either. He was embarrassed because well, Daichi's hand was on his waist and he didn't know how to react other than blush a soft shade of red.

"If I had to be honest, hectic, I honestly don't know how on earth you manage to keep all the first years listening to you, none of them bothered to listen to me and because of that we barely managed to get any practice in at all." Daichi admitted, smiling nervously as he did.

"When I come back to practice tomorrow I'll make sure to have a proper talk down with the chaotic bunch." Suga responded, being surprised that the captain couldn't manage to run a team without him. In a way, he felt happy that he was needed.

"You don't have to do that! It's fine!"

Both of them continued to have a conversation until they got to Daichi's house.

"Erm, I thought you were going to drop me off at mine, I can manage on my own you know?" Suga mentioned, being confused as to why he was brought here rather than back to his apartment.

"After what I saw today, I decided that you'll stay with me, that way I'm sure that you're eating properly and sleeping when you should."

Upon hearing that, Sugawara was about to protest when Daichi stopped him from doing so.

"You do realise that I'm not going to accept no as an answer right? If you're worried about your stuff, we can go to collect them later, but for now let's go inside."

From this point on, things are going to be a lot more interesting and hectic.
