Jin was in shock for a while, asking himself if what he was hearing was real or not.

"I don't get it. Aren't you mad? Disappointed? Don't you hate me??" He asked, waiting for a different answer from Namjoon's mom.

He expected her to change her mind.

But she didn't. On the contrary, she actually supported his relationship with Namjoon.

"Of course not! I love to have you as a son. We need to stick together and help Namjoon, we can't afford to be angry or disappointed at the moment when he's still in there. My... My son didn't deserve this. I'm sure he's innocent, Jinnie. He must be!" Her voice started to crack and the last thing Jin heard were loud hiccuping and faint sobs from the other line.

His heart broke for Namjoon's mother, who he can officially call, "Mother-in-law" now.

On one hand, he was relieved about being accepted by Namjoon's mother.

But on the other, his happiness was still far-fetched. The more time he spent without Namjoon, the further Jin was to ever being happy.

"Mrs. Kim, we have to be strong. We have to do it for him. We can't let our guard down. Let's fight for Namjoon's freedom." Jin and Namjoon's mother came to an agreement and teamed up in order to help Namjoon come out of jail before time.

Ten years would be too much for Namjoon to handle, just thinking about him being locked up for so long made Jin's heart clench with angst.

"I wish I can also have the help and support of your parents, Jin..."

"Why do you say that all of a sudden, Mrs. Kim?" Jin pressed the phone closer to his ear, listening closely to what she had to say.

"Your parents blocked our number and removed us from their social media. We don't understand why, we've always been so good to them..." This made the fox feel beyond embarrassed.

"They didn't get mad at you guys... They did it because of what I said to them. After I came out to them as 'gay' they were very upset with me. Perhaps they decided to take their anger out on you two as well. I can't believe them. I'm terribly sorry on behalf of my parents, Mrs. Kim." Jin apologized.

"I'm the one who should be apologizing to you for having such misunderstanding parents, Seokjin. You deserved better, sweetheart. You can always count on me no matter what." This made Jin tear up.

The words he wanted to hear from his own mother were now being said by Namjoon's.

The words that meant the world to him. With this, he felt accepted, he felt safe, and free to be himself.

So many things in one moment that he didn't exactly know what to do or how to even react to were building up in his head. All he did was cry tears of joy.

"Thank you, Mrs. Kim."

He hung up the phone, walking out of the room to see what Chanyeol was doing.

"Channie!?" When he opened the door, the caracal cat tumbled into the room.

His ears wiggled as he brushed himself off of the floor.

His fall made such a loud and disruptive noise, Jin just had to laugh at it.
"Are you okay?" He helped the other male stand back up on his feet, staring at him with dry tears in his eyes.
"Never been better!" Chanyeol laughed. He stayed by Jin's side the entire time Namjoon was in jail. This was a tough time for Jin and he wanted to be there for him as much as he could.
"Jin, you haven't eaten anything. You please come eat lunch with me, at least. I want to keep squishing your chubby cheeks!"

As little appetite as Jin had, he ate lunch with Chanyeol and spent the rest of his day with him in his house.

Namjoon never left his mind, he was constantly in the back of Jin's head. He only hoped that the boy was being treated fair in that prison. He knew Namjoon was strong, but even
the slightest thing can make him weak, such as someone close to him getting injured, or
hearing bad news from one of his relatives or friends. If he lets his own guard down in jail, then he'll be vulnerable. Anything can trigger him at the moment.

"Namjoon, please tell me you're okay..."

"What happened with him? Did he hurt himself with something?" Chulmoon, Namjoon's jail inmate asked the police as they returned without him.

"The man had a very deep open wound in his abdomen. He's being treated now, but he will remain in the nursery room until they cure him." The cop walked away, but not before giving one last glance at the room.

"Please step aside for one second, there's something I need to check." Chulmoon stayed in an empty corner of the cell as the cop stepped in, holding a taser in his hand just in case the prisoner attempted to attack him.

He searched the room thoroughly, underneath the bed, the pillows, the sink, even inside of the toilet, but he didn't find a single sharp and pointy object to prove that Namjoon's injuries were caused by his jail inmate.

"He'll return in a moment." The cop retreated from the cell, making sure it was locked before making his way back out again.

Namjoon woke up with a painful shock in his lower abdomen.

"Where am I?" He flinched at the pain he received while forcing his body to bend over. The nurse told him not to get up from the bed. He was handcuffed for his own good, despite being injured.

Because of the murders he committed, the boy was not to be trusted even if he was tremendously injured. His pain can be easily fooled for mischief in any cop's perspective, especially coming from a prisoner.

No man in any cell was to be trusted, meaning they made no exceptions to let Namjoon stay without his handcuffs.

The boy looked up at a middle aged woman who was next to him.

"You can't get up from this bed, sir. You might reopen your wound again."

"Reopen...?" Namjoon spoke with a slur in his speech.

"Stay here for now." She exited the room and left Namjoon alone.

"If I'm in a hospital... Then-" His memory flashed back to Jin. Thinking that the boy was in
the hospital, Namjoon attempted to get up.

"You can't get up, you'll injure yourself." The nurse lay him back down again, ignoring how hard he was struggling.

"HE'S HERE! He... He called out my name..." Namjoon felt tears well up in his eyes, unable
to withstand the pain of leaving Jin behind, and being so alone in prison.

His screaming alarmed the police. They rushed inside of the room holding a taser.

"You saw him, didn't you? You- you even told me he came last night. Tell me I wasn't dreaming." Namjoon pointed at the policeman he spoke to before.

The man confirmed it was true, that a man had been around last night but that he had to leave because visting hours were over.

"The last thing I remember is hearing him scream those words and that's it." Now that Namjoon knew what he heard was true, he was more at ease but with pain radiating from his wound.

~~~
Hours passed by and his wound was starting to heal up. Namjoon turned over to his side,
hearing a long creak before the door opened, revealing the nurse that had attended to him before, alongside another injured prisoner.
She lead the prisoner inside of the room so quickly, Namjoon didn't have time to even see
who the person was.
All he knew was that the man she left him with was coughing endlessly.
"Your smoking is only worsening your wound. If you want to heal, you have to stop smoking three packs a day."
"Shut it, will ya? I know my own body." His attitude was rude and cocky. Namjoon knew that most of the guys here speak with vulgar language and use barely understandable words, but this prisoner sounded older than the rest of the young delinquents Namjoon's seen.
His voice was old and raspy. The boy didn't think much of it, he just thought of the man as another grumpy prisoner, living among him.
"Whatever you say. Wait here while I get you a clean gauze." The nurse moved over to Namjoon's side to obtain the medical supplies she needed, glancing at Namjoon.
"How are you feeling now?" Namjoon was about to turn his head to face the grumpy-sounding prisoner, when he was distracted by the nurse's voice.
"Much better. Thank you, nurse." His warm smile made the nurse smile back with sympathy. She felt bad for Namjoon, being so young and locked up in such a dark place like this wasn't easy.
Of all prisoner's she's encountered, Namjoon has been the only one who's been the nicest.
And the least rude.
"Yah, who's there? And what's taking so long, ehh?" The grumpy voice spoke to Namjoon, but Namjoon didn't respond. He didn't want to waste his energy by talking to a such a rude and disrespectful prisoner.
He just stay resting as much as he could. Even the hospital bed they had placed him in was more comfortable than the bed in his jail cell. He felt his back was slowly healing up as well.
The entire time he's been there, he's felt such an uncomfortable pain coming from his back. He blamed it on the bed he slept in, but in reality he wasn't sure. His pain could have been caused by something else and he's just unaware of it.
His energy levels were so low at that moment, Namjoon shut his eyes again and went back to sleep.
~~~

He woke up in the dark, inside of a familiar looking room.

"Thank goodness, you're awake!" Namjoon's eyes fluttered open to the sound of that person's voice.

"...Mom?"
