Jin's POV:

"Jin, honey you have to get up! Your appointment is today." I groaned awake, greeting my mother with a smile.

"Five more minutes." I begged, wanting to stay longer in bed just to smell Namjoon's cologne. His scent still hasn't worn off and I had been sleeping with it in my bedsheets all night long.

Even after he left, I stayed with his scent on my bed. As I got up, my mother helped me get to the bathroom gently, sniffing me.

"Oh? You smell good! Is this Joonie's perfume?" She teased, kissing my head. I blushed, admitting that it was.

"You two are so inseparable, as if you were brothers!" My smile faded to a blank facial expression, almost annoyed.

"...Did she just friend-zone me with Namjoon? She's too much. If only she knew what went down in between us last night." I silently laughed, washing my face.

I felt much better, my pain had subsided for now but I was still sore and walking with a limp.

My mom helped me get dressed. Though I now have a new outfit on, Namjoon's cologne was still lingering around my body.

"I should text him to see how he's doing." On my way out of the house, I texted Namjoon.

"Hey, where are all of those police cars coming from?" I overheard my parents talking about a possible break-in or accident near Namjoon's parent's house, but I was too distracted by the music playing in my phone to hear anything else.

The one thing I saw were the endless police cars and an ambulance heading towards us as my father drove me to the hospital. I couldn't help but wonder who was in that ambulance and what had happened in the neighborhood while I was asleep.

Whatever it was, I was sure that it had nothing to do with Namjoon and his parents.

~~~
I squinted my eyes, seeing the bright sun hit my eyes. I now regretted not bringing my sunglasses along with me, this sun is blinding me.
Weirdly enough, I texted Namjoon and he never replied when he usually replies instantly.
I assumed he was asleep in his comfortable bed. It must have been tough for him to sleep in such an uncomfortable inflatable mattress last night, but he was with me for the most part, so I'm happy about that and maybe he is too.
In fact, he might even be thinking about the risky shenanigans we pulled off last night. I hope he's at least thinking about something like that and not about his cousin's death.
Poor man was so heartbroken about it. He needs time to heal. His parents are very kind and supportive, I'm sure that they'll help him pull through with this.
My parents looked behind me ever so often, staring at me to make sure I was okay.
I just smiled at them each time because in reality, I have no reason to be depressed.
I have the two most caring parents ever, I have my health, and I have Namjoon which is the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life this year.
What more could I need? I have it all.
"What's happening?" My mother spoke to my dad who suddenly stopped the car.
"Traffic. Perhaps something happened here, could be an accident or something that's keeping these cars stuck in the same place." I looked around, staring only at the left side of my window, not bothering to stare at the window next to me.
I looked away from the window that was on my side, trying to avoid the sunlight.
Suddenly, a shadow was met with our car, shading me from the sun. I stopped squinting and felt my skin sooth down, now that it was no longer in contact with the burning sun.
My eyes were eventually met with the car beside me, out of my own curiousity of finding out who the driver was.
However, my eyes weren't the only ones that were curious. When I turned my head to face the driver, I saw two eyes staring right back at me.
"Jin!?" The driver mouthed.
"Namjoon?" I mouthed back, waving continuously at Namjoon who was beside me the whole time. A bright smile appeared on my face the moment I saw his face.
"I wonder where he's going." I thought while keeping my eyes on him the entire time.
He picked his phone up, pointing at it. I got the clue and started to text him with mine.
Our chat names had been changed because of the new update in the messaging app we had, so they were plain for now.
Jin: [What are you doing out so early? Do you have to go to work?] I texted first, staring up at Namjoon, who stared back at me once he sent his text.
Namjoon: [Not quite. For now, I'm just going to a family member's house to spend the weekend over there.]
Jin: [Oh, I see. What about your parents? Are they coming along with you?] Namjoon turned to face me, shaking his head.
I knew that mean no, but I still wondered why.
Then he started to partly explain the reason that he was leaving without them.
Namjoon: [It'll just be me, for now. Where are you going?] I thought that his response was odd, but nonetheless, I believed him without a doubt in my head and told him that I was going to the hospital for a visit.
Namjoon: [I hope everything goes well. How are you feeling today, baby?] I blushed while
staring out of my window to appreciate his side profile that I loved most.
Namjoon was so concentrated on his phone, that he didn't even realize I was secretly stalking him from afar.
Jin: [I'm feeling okay. Not completely healed, but I'm getting there. Are you okay? 💋]
Namjoon looked up and me and moved his head from side to side, in disagreement.
I was confused about his strange nodding until he texted back. Then I understood it all.
Namjoon: [I wish I was okay, Seokjin.] I frowned at my phone, then looked at Namjoon who was staring back at me this time.
Jin: [What happened, Namjoon? Is there something that's bothering you in particular?]
He nodded, but just when he was about to answer me, a car honked their horn behind his
car and that's when my father switched lanes, leaving Namjoon behind never once noticing that he was next to him the whole time.
My father found a faster route to get to the hospital on time. When we arrived, my mom helped me get out of the car while my dad left in search of a parking spot.
The moment we walk in, all I could hear were the sounds of people coughing. Both my mother and I wore masks to protect ourselves against any bacteria and viruses that we can get in the hospital from all of the patients there.
I signed in, then took a seat and patiently waited to be called. My phone buzzed in my pocket, and my mother told me to turn my volume down.
I apologized and not only turned the volume down, but the brightness as well so that she wouldn't notice what I was doing in my phone. I didn't want her to see my text messages Namjoon and I have sent to each other.
She didn't take long to get distracted by a magazine that caught her eye and later on when my father sat beside us, they started talking to each other for a while so no one read my texts.
Namjoon: [It's about my parents. I might not be able to explain this to you through texts, because it's too complicated. But I will tell you this: No matter where I go, I'll always find a way to be with you.]
Jin: [Be with me? You mean that you're not going to stay with your parents anymore?] I narrowed my head downwards, frowning.
Namjoon: [No, Jinnie. Not anymore. I moved out and to tell you the truth, I don't know where I'm going.]
Jin: [You don't know? What do you mean you don't know? You just told me you were going to stay with a relative of yours.] I sensed that Namjoon wasn't telling me the truth in the first place.
"But why would he lie? There has to be something wrong with Joonie, he's not like this. His parents and him had such a tight bond." My head started to fill up with questions and that's when my name was called.
I heard my phone buzz the moment I put it in my back pocket.
I didn't have time to respond to it, so I never did. The nurse brought me into a room and I sat down on the hospital bed she told me to lie down on. She then told me that the doctor would see me soon.
My eyes were staring up at the blank wall as I reached down to check the message on my phone.
Namjoon: [Jin, my father said something really bad about Kangdae, we got into a discussion and that discussion lead to us falling apart as a family. I will no longer live with them, and to tell you the truth, I don't know where I'm going.]
The moment I opened it, the message vanished and I only got the chance to read, "Jin, my father said something really bad about Kangdae." and that was when the message just disappeared.
