24 🦊
The next morning, Namjoon went over with his parents to Jin's house. His parents were going to give out an invitation to Jin's parents.
They rang their doorbell but no one answered the first time, so they tried knocking on the front door.
The second time, they heard the sound of a chain moving, meaning the door was being unlocked.
"Good morning, neighbors!" Namjoon's mother smiled and Jin's mom. They greeted each other as friendly as usual, then Namjoon handed her a card.
"Oh, and what's this for, sweetie?" Jin's mother asked.
"It's an invitation, Mrs. Kim." She caressed the wolf's ear, looking over at his mother and father.
"That's for his birthday party. It's coming soon on September twelve and we were just wondering if we could count on your presence?" Jin's mother remained silent.
"Don't worry," Namjoon spoke up. "It's in a completely safe environment, there won't be any alcoholic beverages, or smoking." His words sounded convincing to the woman, but she still had her doubts.
"And... Where will this party take place?" She asked, turning her head at Namjoon's mother.
"It's going to be in my brother's house. He was kind enough to lend us his place for the whole night so that Joonie can invite a few of his friends. Nothing extravagant, though. It's just going to be a small gathering." Namjoon and his parents stared at their neighbors
and waited for their response.
It took a lot of convincing to do, but Jin's father agreed. . . On the other hand, however, Jin's mother hadn't fully agreed on anything yet.
"I don't promise you anything, but we'll try our best to go. Thank you for your invitation, Namjoon." Namjoon was a little bit worried, thinking Jin might not showing at his party after what his mother told him, but the boy kept his hopes up in seeing his mate there.
"Boyfriend... Huh, what a strange word. I like it." Namjoon walked away, getting inside of the car with his parents.
A smile on his face grew, despite feeling a little bit disappointed in knowing that Jin and his parents might not attend his birthday party. As long as he could still see Jin, then Namjoon was still grateful for that, at least.
"Namjoon, are you listening to me?" Intrigued by his mother's voice, the man perched his head up and wiggled his eyebrows at her in response.
"What? I'm sorry, could you repeat that?" His mom nodded.
"I asked what are you planning on buying to wear at the party?" Namjoon wasn't sure what to wear, all that he had on his mind was seeing the cute fox again at his birthday party.
"I'm not sure yet, mom." He innocently replied.
"Well, you'll have time to figure it out. In the meantime, let's listen to some music, yeah?" Namjoon nodded, wiggling his tail.
Music was his life. He felt as connected to music as he was to nature whenever he runs around the woods, rolling around in the grass.
Or whenever he's alone in his room, rapping to himself. Namjoon enjoys to rap and make
up his own songs.
He unbuckled his seatbelt and got down from the car.
"Hey mom? Do you think that Jinnie and his parents will come to my birthday party?" His mother didn't want to ruin Namjoon's expectations of meeting up his friend at his party, so she simply nodded her head and walked along with him to the store as his father stayed in the car waiting for them to shop.
Namjoon knew there could be a high chance that Jin won't arrive at his party, so he kept his expectations low for now. When He and his mother entered the clothing store, they separated: She went to the women's clothing section and Namjoon went to the men's section.
He searched around to try finding something to wear that fit both his style and the atmosphere of his party. Because the party was taking place in his uncle's house, he wasn't going to wear anything fancy, but he was planning on wearing something formal enough to make him feel good.
The man ended up choosing a pair of black shoes, a formal looking shirt with a cool looking design on the front, and a checkered jacket. He also picked out a pair of ripped jeans. His mother was skeptical of Namjoon taking those ripped jeans because of how cold it was going to be on that day, however he could always change into a regular pair of pants he owns at home if the temperature gets too cold that day.
Either way, he had four days until the 12 of September arrives, giving him enough time to think about what he was going to wear.
He ended up buying the ripped jeans, taking his chances on whether or not the weather would be cold or not on that day.
He purchased his clothing items and left with his mother, who had also bought herself something.
They entered the car again and found Namjoon's father was asleep.
"Dad, we're back." His father snorted, waking up. Namjoon laughed, placing his bags next
to him as he sat down.
The wolf relaxed in his seat as he watched the trees move around.
"Is it going to rain tonight?" He asked, looking up at the grey sky. His mother nodded.
"Yes. A lot too, so make sure to leave the windows of your car up when we get home." Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows at his mother.
"They are up, mom."
"What do you mean "They're up", huh? I just saw your car this morning. The windows were down. And by the way, you left your socks in there last night. Then you ask me why your socks disappear." What his mother was saying sounded strange to Namjoon, as the boy had his socks on when he had gotten down from his car.
But there was one boy who didn't, and that boy was the one he spent the night with in his car.
"Jin. He must have left them in my car last night..." Namjoon let out a strange laughter, nodding at his mother.
"Yeah, at least the sock goblins aren't real. For a second, I thought my socks were getting stolen from them." He lied, making his parents laugh.
"Make sure you take your shopping bags. Don't leave those behind too." He grabbed his bags and went upstairs to put his brand new clothes away. When he looked as his phone, he found no new messages from Jin, so he just completed a few of his tasks and waited for a message from the fox.
"He'll text me soon. He always texts me at this hour."

"Mom, please! Can we go to Joonie's birthday party? Please! Please! I won't ask for anything else, I promise." Jin was on the ground, trying his best to convince his mother to take him to Namjoon's birthday party.
His mother was still unsure about showing up to an unfamiliar house just to celebrate someone's birthday, but she was tired of seeing how much her son begged her to let him go that party.
"On one condition." She crossed her seems. Jin stared at his mother, wondering what the so called condition was going to be.
"Stay with your father and I and don't go anywhere else. If you go to a place where we can't see you, after we find you, we won't let you visit or talk to Namjoon ever again.
Deal?" Jin thanked his mother, agreeing on her condition.
