Other ONCs to check out
Well, if you're here, that means you've finished reading this story. Firstly, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. You gave one of my stories a chance and that means the world to me!
Now, I haven't had a great deal of time to check out a lot of my fellow ONC stories, but I have had a chance to read a few that I would happily recommend.
Below is a list of ONC stories from authors I think are fabulous and you should definitely check out. You won't be disappointed. I'll likely keep adding to this list as I now begin to read more... since I have finished and finally have the freedom. 😃
Each of the following stories and their writer is someone whose writing I'd read any day of the week, so you know they write well. Their styles are unique, their voices, loud and wonderous. Their humour is great, their pacing is wonderful, and some of them have wild imaginations. Their words flow, sometimes vegetables fly, animals chomp on bad buys, and overall, they give you a fun read. So do check them out while you wait for updates.
Mirror Mirror (by me... cheeky, I know) ➡ Snow White Twisty retelling.
1) Iguanatopia (by lisa_london_) ➡ A hilarious jaunt across the seas, me hearty!
2) Anywhen (by EvelynHail, ONC 2020 winner) ➡ A intriguing play on time travel and opposites attract.
3) Cupid Falling (by EmilyMorgans) ➡ When a Cupid shouldn't really love their marks!
4) Briarheart (by laurelandlarkspur, last year's honorable-mention writer) ➡ A fabulous, Mulan-inspired, adventure with a female warrior at its heart.
5) Eight Legs Too Many (by CMF_Wright) ➡ A laugh-out-loud dealing of a woman averse to company stuck solving the world's problem alongside a moody Death.
6) Human Bait (by spelunkadunk) ➡ What happens to the poor scrawny folks left to survive in a post-apocalyptic zombie-infested land. Hilarious and oft-times heartwrenching.
7) UnBreaking A Fae Gift (by AzulMidnight) ➡ A sardonic tale of two faes, once lovers, now turned prisoners in their own world, Fae folks. The humour is so palpable.
8) What They Wrought (by dcompbooks) ➡ A dark and twisted tale on the open seas, with anti-heroes, inspired by historical events.
And check many more listed on my reading list. If you also have some awesome ONC suggestions I can add, I'm all ears!
