Valentine's Day, the day that celebrates love and lovers. Is there anything wrong with Valentine's Day? I don't understand why but out of the blue, the school decided to ban everything related to this day. No gifts, no letters, no dates allowed in the school zone. But all the school clubs joined together to host a secret Valentine's party and invited everybody. I wanted to join the fun and decided to drop my crush an anonymous DM with the invitation to the party, although I knew it was a futile attempt. I dressed to the best of my ability for the night, and then, I received the biggest surprise of my life. It was a huge box of a neatly wrapped gift lying on the floor of my front door unattended, with a note attached on top, 'To you my dear sweetheart. Can't wait to see you at the party.' I unwrapped it and was surprised to see a full-length sapphire blue gown. It was the one I had designed during my childhood, hoping to stitch it myself one day. I had flaunted it with pride to my best friend who showered me with praises. But somewhere down the lane, I had missed it. Days later, my best friend too had shifted to a faraway country and the sadness of his separation didn't give me the courage to design any dresses thereafter. I quickly changed and rode to the party as memories of my bestie flooded my mind. My heart thudded as I neared my crush who was talking with a blonde guy, who suddenly turned around. I was shocked to meet the dark brown eyes; I had loved since childhood. Before my senses could clear, he knelt down with a ring in his hand and hopeful eyes. Excitement and happiness clouded my heart as I accepted the love of my childhood bestfriend.
