Previously, on Love bite 

  He then starts to walk away from me, but then he stops, and looks over his shoulder. "Oh, and by the way, Debby knows I'm not coming in for work today" He says with a smirk.

"Will you get going you do goader" I say with a smile right back at him.

He nods and then speed walks out of view, leaving me alone with my Uncle, Keith, and Cody, just standing there lost in my thoughts. What did Misty mean by, if I don't start preparing for what's ahead, my pack is going to be in a whole world of trouble? Preparing, start preparing for what? I ask myself

Now Sophie

My Uncle, Keith, and Cody just stand there looking at me as I stare off into space lost in my own thoughts about what to do. Why would Ace go so far as to hurt one of his own pack members, just because she couldn't catch and kill Luka? What does Ace want with him? And if this is the smaller plan, what's the bigger one? I shift my weight slightly onto my other leg, and then I start to look at this like an Alpha.

If something is about to happen we need to be ready for anything that the Ruby Stone Pack can throw at us, and as the Alpha it's my job to prepare them for anything, but as the Alpha I also have to make sure that if something does end up happening that I keep my own pack safe at all times, it's my duty, I then shake my head in my mind. No. No, it's not just my duty to keep them all safe, it's my birthright, I think to myself. If any of my pack members die under my lead, their deaths will be on my shoulders, and that's something I really don't want.

I'm snapped out of my thought's by someone walking up from behind me and placing their hand on my shoulder I look, and see my uncle looking down at me with a concerned face, unlike most members of the pack, my uncle can tell when somethings worrying me just by the look on my face, he and my aunt both can.

"Everything okay up here Little Sophie?" He then asks as he lightly taps my forehead.

'Just thinking about the last thing Misty told me" I reply.

"Well, you're the Alpha, what are you going to do about it?" My uncle then asks, giving me an arch of his eyebrow.

"I don't know" I say with my tone in slight annoyance not at him, it's from not knowing what to do next. 'If Ace is planning something big we have to prepare for it, but since we don't know what it is it's going to make this even harder to train for, and plus we don't know if this is a threat at all. We could get the whole pack trained up and ready to go, then we hear it was all a joke. I just don't know, my head is now going one way, and my gut's telling me to go another" I then tell him.

"I would go with your gut on this one" My uncle then says to me. "But whatever you decide to do, I'm with you."

"I'm with you as well Sophie" I hear Cody say from behind me.

"And so am I" I then hear Keith's voice chime in.

I smile slightly, then close my eyes so that I can think for a moment in peace. There's got to be something I'm missing here? If Ace is planning something big, what is it? I ask myself. Then something hits me and I get a sick feeling in my stomach. My mind then flashes back to a memory I would much rather forget, I was in the pack hospital's conference room, laying my foot down, about to break up with the Alpha that I had once loved.

Flashback

"So what you're telling me is, you're dumping me for an Omega."

"Yes. I am."

"This can't be happening! Why would you pick him when you can have me?!?"

"He's my mate! I will always pick him. I'm sorry, but we're done."

"I'm leaving! You'll regret the day you left me for a pathetic omega."

Flashback over

So that's the reason Ace wants to kill Luka, he wants to kill him and take me back for his own, so I guess in his mind I'm still his. But if that's the case, what would he be planning? I ask myself. My eyes fly open and I shift into my wolf as soon as I put two and two together, the other's just look at me stunned.

"Sophie what is it, what's wrong?" My uncle then asks, I turn towards him.

"Look, I know it may be a hunch, but I thank I know what Ace is planning to do. Gather everyone up and head to the Northern Shore, I'm calling a pack meeting" I snarl, the three of them all nod. I then let out a long howl before I gallop out of sight.

"Wait Sophie, why are we going to the Northern Shore instead of our normal meeting places?" Asks Cody through the mind link as I run, kicking up some snow as I do so.

"Because the Northern Shore is far enough away that if Ace has some wolves on his border trying to listen in, they won't be able to hear us" I reply in a light growl.

"I see, well, see you when I get there" He says cutting the link.

As I make it in to the woods the last thing Ace said before we became enemy's pops into my mind. "Well. I'll remind you to put that on his tombstone, if me and my pack ever run across him." with that now in my head I bare my teeth and let out a large growl as my paws thunder through the forest, I then connect the mind link to aunt Sherry.

"Heads up Aunt Sherry, I'm calling a pack meeting, so I'm going to have the pack mind link on" I tell her.

"Copy that Sophie" She says right before I cut the line.

When we all took off, instead of all the pack going the same way, we went two separate ways entirely. While my uncle, Keith, and Cody took the main members of the pack the normal way, I went a secret way, a way that only I know about. I come out from the trees and onto a small ridge that overlooks the rocky shore below, only now it has a light layer of snow mixed in with it. I look down, it takes only a few seconds after I arrive for the rest to follow suit.

The first ones to come on to the shore are Keith and Cody, followed by my uncle coming from one way, Faya and Maloney come out only a second later followed by Amanda and Twilight, Andrew's mate, followed by Dylan and Art. Just as I'm about to turn on the pack mind link so that I can get this party started, I hear the shifting and rattling of rocks, I turn to my right and see three wolves booking it down the shoreline towards the meeting place, but they're not at all who I was expecting.

It turns out to be Susie q, she was the snowflake gray wolf that was left when Ace went back to his own pack after I dumped him for Luka, she's now the packs female Omega, and she's also a great healer like my mom was. Then there's just Kevin and Kyle, two of the three Omega brothers. That's odd, where's Karl? I ask myself. More oddly then that, where's Elliot? He never misses a pack meeting, maybe he got caught up doing some act of kindness for someone.

I then turn back towards the meeting spot and see that the wolves are starting to circle each other, most of them are wondering what's going on, or what's happened, but not the three wolves who already know. After a moment I connect the pack mind link, and all the heads turn up towards me.

"Ace has over stepped the line ones again by attacking one of his pack members" I snarl loudly as I slowly come down from the ridge line, and my paws find the hard, uneven rocks.

"What? What happened?" All of the wolves whimper and lightly snarl in sync.

"Look into my eyes everyone" I let out a deep breath and my eyes start to turn a slight yellow, and they all look intently into them. The image show lasts only about ten seconds, when it's over I can feel worry and uneasiness among the rest of the pack.

"Alpha, is she okay?"

"Why would he do that, and to his Head Worrier?"

"More importantly, Alpha, what could this mean?" Are they so many thoughts going through the rest of the pack's minds, I can't even get my word in.

I then let out a loud growl, and as if by magic everyone goes silent. "Thank you" I snarl. "Okay first off last night Colt and Misty trespassed on our turf while they were trying to chase my Uncle and your future Alpha, Luka was able to run into the bunker and pretty soon after that I intervened. I told Colt to stay, but I told Misty to go home, I thought she would be safe. This morning My Uncle found her in the stream, half dead and brought her back to my office, my aunt and Shelby are taking care of her at the pack hospital."

"Alpha, what does this mean?" Kevin asks, his small, gangly, dark brown wolf with green eyes looking at me, I then get another sick feeling in my stomach.

"Alpha, we can feel that you're worried about something, what's wrong?" His brother Kyle asks.

I let out a slight huff. "Well. I have a sick feeling in my gut that Ace attacking Misty wasn't a message to her or Colt, but it was a message to us. I think Ace is trying to tell us that he's still mad about me leaving him for Luka, and now he will stop at nothing until he has him or kills him" I tell them.

"Witch means what" All the wolves perk their ears up in sync.

"I have a feeling that Ace might attack The Emerald stone pack and cut us down to get to Luka" I snarl.

"What?!?" I hear someone let out a short howl, far off to my right, we all turn our heads to the right and I then look on in amusement as I then see two wolves slowly making their way towards the meeting spot. The only reason Elliot would miss the start of a meeting, was if he was helping his brother get there, and walking right next to him, limping slightly on his right leg, stands a russet, sandy brown and white wolf, with honey colored eyes, Luka.

I slightly break my formation and turn towards their direction. "I thought I told you to go home and have a nice soak" I snarl as he approach us.

"I was until I heard you howl, and from the sound of it I knew something was going on, so I asked Elliot to come back by the house and pick me up" Luka grumbles as he comes up to me.

I then turn towards Elliot. "It was his Idea" He says, turning his head towards his brother.

I then turn back towards Luka. "It's okay if you don't want me here Sophie, I'll just go back home" He whimpers and flattens his ears, as he starts to turn around to head back up the shoreline.

"Are you kidding, the meeting wouldn't be the same without you in it, the both of you in it" I slightly whimper. "So since I've had the pack mind link on the whole time, I'm guessing you two have heard most of the discussion at hand?" I then ask. Elliot nods, then Luka lowers his head.

"Sophie, is it true? Did that little female get attacked by Ace because she and her mate couldn't catch and kill me?" He asks in a whimper. I should lie to him but lying to your mate is wrong, so I don't.

"Possibly yes, but Luka, it's just a hunch, nothing more, nothing less" I lightly snarl, Luka then lifts his head slightly.

"And you're saying now that the whole entire pack is in danger, because of me?" Luka slightly snarls.

"That's mostly it, but Luka he's mad at me, not you, this isn't your fault" I whimper, trying to reassure him.

"Sophie, I'm the whole reason he's mad it you in the first place" Luka slightly snarls again, but a little bit louder this time. I can actually see anger growing in his eyes "That no good, poor excuse for an Alpha, that one time good for nothing...! Luka growls, but then trails off as he then turns around and then starts to pace in a tight circle, his head lowered, eyes focused on the rocks. I then turn back towards the group, and look towards my uncle for an answer.

"Yea, about that Sophie pacing is the way I taught Luka to get rid of his anger" He snarls.

Then I do something that I have never tried before. I don't want the other pack members to hear Luka's thought's while he's angry, so I push the pack mind link to one part of my mind, and then connect my normal mind link to Luka's on the other side. So I can hear the rest of the pack members and Luka, and they can hear my thought's they just can't hear his, it's another one of the traits that only those born with the Alpha gene can do, but it's extremely hard to master.

"We'll be ready when that time comes Alpha" Art lightly growls, and all the pack members snarl in response.

"Alright, you guys, settle down, we don't know yet if this is the case or not, I'll see I if can talk to Misty in a few days, but in the mean time I want everyone to be on alert" I snarl. "Uncle, I want you, Beta Chris, Keith, and Quinn to stay on watch duty on the border in the meadow" I say and look towards him, he nods. "Dylan, I want you and Art to patrol the territory throughout the night, and don't stop until dawn, do you two think you can do that?" I ask them.

"You can count on us Ma'am" They both nod.

"Good. Okay, everyone else, you patrol up around the main part of the territory. Cody, you co home to Heather, and keep her safe" I lightly snarl, turning towards him.

Then as everybody's starting to clear out, Keith takes a step forward and then gives me a pleading look, it takes me a second before I know what he wants. "Wait" I snarl, and they all stop. "Faya, Quinn, you guys stay here, I've got a job for you. Well, actually Keith has a job for you" I grumble.

"What is it?" I hear someone grumble, I look up, and see Quinn standing on the same ridge line that I came down from.

"Keith found out his mate is the Ruby Stone pack's Omega, Alex Cortez, what I need y'all to do is to sneak over the border, and go get her. Elliot since you said you knew her, I want you to go with them" I say.

"When do we leave?" Grumbles Elliot.

"At dusk" I reply.

"Sophie, what if Ace does end up attacking us, what do we do then? We'll still be out numbered" Says Quinn

I stop and think about it, Ace's pack has grown even bigger than it was last year, even before he lost over half his pack to my pack. Even with all the wolves in the pack, even counting the pup's we still wouldn't have enough man power to take him on. I'm about to tell Quinn that I'm not sure, but then from Luka's side of my mind I feel a ping, a spark of an Idea, I turn around and look at him. Luka's no longer pacing, he's standing perfectly still with his eyes still lowered to the rocks, he looks up at me and his tail slightly twitches.

"I think you just had an idea" I grumble.

"What?" All the pack members ask at the same time.

"I would rather tell you tomorrow after I know something from Misty" I reply.

"Hey Luka, since you surprised me this morning, I thought it would only be fair if I gave you a surprise" Elliot says, his tail wagging slightly.

"Oh my God, what did you do?" I ask, turning towards him.

Elliot doesn't answer, instead he just stands there, looking at the both of us. Just as I'm about to ask him what's going on? I hear the crackling of the pines. I look up and see a light brown female wolf with silky light, brown fur, and golden eyes coming towards us, but instead of running away or fighting, we stay put.

"Sweetie" Debby's wolf loudly whimpers as her paws hit the rocks.

"Mamma" Luka whimpers happily as his tail wags and he runs over to her, I get out of the way

"Honey, you look terrific" Debby says as she rubs her nose against his.

"So do you" Luka whines as she then sniffs all the way down the front side of his neck.

"So did those two bad wolves hurt my baby in any way, shape, or form?" Asks Debby, as she continues to look him over.

Luka shakes his head. "No Ma'am, just a little shaken up" Luka grumbles, as he continues to love up on his adoptive mom, then her nose brushes over his shoulder, and Luka grimaces in pain. "Ah" Luka whimpers out and jerks away from her slightly, Debby takes a step back.

"Luka what's wrong, are you alright" She then whimpers.

"Yes mom, I'm fine, my shoulder's just a little tender" Luka whimpers slightly.

"Aww, when did this happen?" Debby asks, as she then gently nuzzles Luka's hurt shoulder.

"Earlier today, during a fight with a big, bad Rogue" Luka replies.

"Aww, poor baby. Hey, maybe your mate will take care of that for you tonight before you go to bed" Debby says.

"I hope so" I hear Luka say, pretending like I didn't, I look up, see Kevin, and walk over towards him.

"Oh, hey Alpha" He says as he and his brother look up towards me.

Hey Kevin, hey Kyle, where's Karl?" I whimper slightly.

"He's not doing all that well, so he's back at the house" Kevin grumbles.

"Yea, he has the flu, and he has a high fever" Kyle's tan wolf chimes in.

"Oh well then, would it be alright if I drop by your house with some warm soup and some other stuff tomorrow?" I ask them.

"I'd think he'd love it" Kevin replies.

"Would you like for me to bring some healer medicine as well" I then ask.

"Of course, you know our little brother, he loves that kind of stuff" Kyle replies.

"Okay great, well I'd better be getting my mate and I home so that he can relax, I'll see you boys tomorrow" I tell them as I'm walking back over towards Luka.

"Alright Alpha Sophie, we'll see you later" I hear Kevin call after me from behind.

"Luka do you want to start heading home, so I can starts taking care of that bad shoulder of yours" I say as I slightly walk by him.

"Yes Sophie, I'm coming" Luka says as he slowly starts to follow.

"Elliot you coming? Still got a long while before dusk" I say, looking over my shoulder towards him.

"Oh yea, I'm right behind you guys" Says Elliot.

"So am I" I hear Debby say as we start walking towards home.

That's it guys chapter 11,  like most chapters I had to split this one into two. I've decided to dedicate this chapter to my new little cousin Mckinlea, who was born on August, 11. 2016. I love you little pup, you're the cutest thing ever :-)
