Third Person POV

Khushi's exams had begun while Manvi and Aarav went to the office. The chairman, owner of the company was there with the board of directors. Manvi met him, he said "manvi! Mr. Kapoor waali deal haath se gayi hai! Party mein jo hua uske baad.. Dekho Aarav ki ab zaroorat nahi hai!"

Manvi was shocked to hear him "Sir... Aarav ke talent ki iss company ko zaroorat hai!"

"Tumhari bhi zaroorat hai par main tamasha nahi chahta hun! Isliye ek ko toh company chodni padegi" he said firmly as it was the board's decision.

Manvi looked outside, Aarav was working. He had sat home for a year and she couldn't become a block in his career. "Thik hai Sir.. main job se resign kar deti hun! Puri zindagi di hai maine iss company ko par main apne husband ke saath na insafi nahi kar sakti hun" she said

She walked out of the conference room and came to her cabin. She closed her eyes for a moment, she took a deep breath. Aarav entered the room, he glanced at her and asked "manvi sab thik hai??"

Manvi smiled at him and nodded in yes "haan Aarav.."

"Main Sir se baat karun? Kal ke liye sorry kah deta hun" he spoke but Manvi stopped him instantly.

"Nahi maine unko sorry bol diya hai already! Aur waise bhi main Mrs. Manvi Malhotra hun janti hun sab kaise handle karna hai" He spoke in her bossy tone.

"Jee madam! Aur ye rahi aaj ki report thik hai toh sign kar dena" Aarav kept the file on the table and went out of the cabin. He was feeling she was trying to hide something.

Manvi typed her resignation letter and signed it electronically. She then submitted it to the board of directors and they gave her a month's notice so that they could find her replacement.

She smirked "jab yahan se jaungi na tab pata chalega.. Itne saal diye iss company ko aur badle mein ye milta hai sach bolne pe.. Bhaad mein jaaye inka ek mahine ka notice kalse band kar dungi office aana" she murmured

Later in the evening, Aarav and Manvi returned home. Aarav eyed her and asked "Manvi sab thik hai? Tum bahut pareshan lag rahi ho?"

"Aarav sab thik hai! Wo khushi ke boards exam shuru ho gaye hai bas wo paas ho jaye! Hamari wajah se thik se padh bhi nahi paayi hai Khushi" Manvi diverted the topic.

"Tension mat lo.. Fail bhi ho gayi na toh koi baat nahi hai! Hum usse pyar karna kum thodi kar denge" Aarav said as a caring father.

"Haan janti hun! Aur suno please hamari anniversary waale din koi excitement mat dikhana.." Manvi spoke.

"Haan haan thik hai!" Aarav agreed, and they reached home.

The next morning, at the breakfast table. Everyone was present except Manvi, Ahana asked "Aarav mannu kahan hai?"

"Bhabhi aati hi hogi.." Aarav spoke.

Manvi came downstairs and grabbed her place beside Khushi. Khushi looked at her and asked "mumma aaj aapko office nahi jaana hai kya? Aap ready nahi hue ho abtak"

"Haan.. tumhare exams chal rahe hai na toh jabtak khatam nahi hote main office se chutti le rahi hun '' Manvi said leaving Khushi shocked.

"Haila! Mumma aap chutti le rahe ho mere exams ke liye" she asked in a state of shock.

Aarav eyed her suspiciously, he said "Manvi.. Pakka isliye tum chutti le rahi ho?"

"Haa Aarav! Tum apna deemag kaam karne mein lagao.. Bahut pending work hai waha pe" Manvi said firmly.

Virat laughed and spoke "tumhe acha nhi lag raha hai na ki Manvi office nahi jayegi kuch din.. Romance karne ko nahi milega na.."

Aarav glared at him and taunted "bhai.. Main kaam bhi karta hun sirf romance nahi"

"Wo main ache se janta hun!" Virat said

"Are bas Vee.. mat pareshan karo Aarav ko" Ahana took his side.

Aarav showed his tongue to Virat, Khushi eyed Manvi suspiciously as she wasn't reacting much and was in her silence zone.

Manvi looked at Khushi and said "apna timetable mujhe de do main tumhe school chodne jaungi aur pick up bhi karungi"

Khushi agreed "okay mumma.."

Manvi eyed at Aarav who was staring at her suspiciously, she sighed and thought "Aaj nahi toh kal ise office pata chal hi jayega! Bata dun kya?"

Virat and Aarav then left for office. Virat and Aarav were sitting behind, Virat asked "Aarav.. Padso party ke baad office mein koi tamasha nhi hua?"

"Nahi bhai.. Chariman sir aaye toh they pata nahi Manvi ke saath kya baat hui '' Aarav spoke unknown.

"Acha.. aur friday ko tum chutti le lena" Virat spoke.

Aarav was confused "kyun bhai?"

"Are first anniversary hai tumhari.. Party nahi kar sakte toh par manvi ko ghumane toh leke jaa sakte ho na!" Virat suggested.

Aarav was shocked hearing him "oh my god! Bhai.. maltab uss din main public mein besharmi kar sakta hun '' he said.

Virat glared at him and said "Aarav.. Meri ijzat nahi lekin Ahana ki ijzat ka khayal rakhoge tum ye mujhe tumse umeed hai!"

Aarav laughed "of course bhabhi ke liye toh jaan bhi hazir hai!" he said dramatically.

Aarav scrolled his phone and saw the news, he was shocked. He looked at Virat emotionally. Virat eyed him and asked "kya hua?? Senti zone mein kyun chale gaye?"

"Aapne 10 saal purana business relation Mr. Kapoor se tod diya! Meri wajah se?" he said in a serious tone.

"Aarav.. Koi meri family ko haath tak nahi laga sakta hai aur usne toh tumhari sabke saamne insult ki hai! Agar mujhe pata hota ye sab hoga main Manvi ko waha rukne ke liye kehta hi nahi.. I am feeling so guilty about it" he said dejected.

"Bhai aapki galti nahi hai!" Aarav said and kept his head on his shoulder "I love you bhai... aap best ho"

Virat caressed his head and said "ab uss Kapoor ko pata chalega! He will be finished soon"

The car stopped in front of Aarav's office, Aarav got down and waved him bye. He headed inside the building with a smile on his face "jabtak bhai aur bhabhi ka saaya hai mere sar pe mujhe kisika darr nahi hai.." he was feeling blessed to have such brother and sister-in-law who love him like their own son.

At home

Khushi's POV

I was focusing on my studies, Manvi came in between and gave him food. I looked at her and asked "mumma pakka aap meri studies ki wajah se hi office nahi jaa rahe ho?"

Manvi glared at me and said "zyada jasoos mat bano.. Padhai pe dhyan do!"

"Haan haan thik hai! Kar rahi hun padhai" I replied and continued studying.

The day passed in blur, she thought "mumma mere saath rahengi 24 hours toh main badi mumma ko kaise bataungi karna kya hai"

Later in the evening, we were sitting in the hall. I eyed Ahana, she assured me everything will happen according to our plan.

Ahana said "manvi.. Aaj na mera mann hai tumhare haath ka khana khane ka.."

Manvi smiled hearing her "Thik hai bhabhi main bana deti hun dinner" she stood up from the couch and headed towards the kitchen.

I moved closer to Ahana and said "badi maa.. Maine sab kuch aapko message kar diya hai! Aur please mere surprises ke baare mein unhe na pata chale ye aap dhyan rakhna"

Ahana smiled and checked her phone "Don't worry Khushi.. Sab waise hoga jaisa tum chahti ho! Bas uss din Manvi aur Aarav ko bahar bhejna hai pure din ke liye.."

I was so thrilled and excited for their first anniversary. I discussed with Ahana about the plan, Manvi came out and I immediately diverted the topic "badi maa.. Vihaan is really cute! Jaane kab mere maa baap mujhe aisa cute sa bhai denge"

Ahana understood and smiled "beta wo toh yahi dono jaane! Jitni ye besharmi karte hai na abtak toh ho hi jaana chahiye tha"

Manvi eyes became wide hearing her words, she said "bhabhi aap kya bol rahi ho Khushi ke saamne?"

"Offo mumma ab innocent mat bano! Lagta hai aap dono ko phirse honeymoon pe bhejna padega.." I said.

Manvi hit my forehead from behind "beta exam pe dhyan lagao.."

I sighed deeply and walked upstairs to my room. About 10 minutes later, I heard my father's voice. I looked at the door and he was standing there with chocolate in his hand.

He came to me and handed me one. I smiled "Thank you dadda..."

"You're most welcome! Aur subah se kitni padhai karogi.. Chalo thodi masti karte hai" Aarav said to cheer me up.

I denied "mumma dantengi"

"Wo toh uski aadat hai.." he said, winking at him. I agreed and we sat down on the bed and began to play some games. It's a blessing to have one strict parent while the other being a free spirit. The love which I carved for 14 years was with me today and I wish it lasts forever and ever till my last breath.
