Manvi's POV

I entered the house and saw Ruhana, Vineet sitting on the couch having a conversation. While Khushi and Avni were sitting on the dining table and playing ludo.

Khushi glanced at me and smiled "mumma aa gayi" she screamed.

I sighed, she was too excited. I signalled her to control her excitement. She nodded positively.

"Are mannu.. Aa gayi tu.. Khushi ne kaha bahut zaroori baat karni hai" Ruhana said.

I passed her a smile, I moved forward and sat on the opposite couch. Khushi came and gave me a glass of water. I gulped down the water in one breath. Khushi took the glass and kept it on the table.

She sat on the arm of the couch and kept her hand on my shoulder with a smile giving me assurance she is with me.

Avni came and stood behind Ruhana and Vineet. Avni asked, "maasi baat kya hai?"

I was silent, I don't know where to start from? I took a deep breath.

"Mumma bolo na.. Warna main bol dungi" Khushi said scolding me.

I glared at her...

Ruhana spoke "ye suspense kyun create kar rakha hai? Batao bhi baat kya hai.."

I closed my eyes and said at a fast pace. "I love someone aur wo mere office mein hai.. Pune mei bhi wo mere saath tha.. Infact party ke baad bhi puri raat main uske saath thi"

There was a pin drop silence, I opened my eyes and saw RuVi and Avni staring at me with an open mouth.

Khushi smiled.. "Maasi bade papa Di.. muh band kijiye.." she said

They shut their mouths, Ruhana asked "acha?? Toh isliye madam itni badli badli si thi ek mahine se"

I smiled and nodded in yes.

"Are toh khushi ye baat tum bhi bata sakti thi na.." Avni spoke.

"Di.. maasi bade papa.. Aap pehle puri baat sun lijiye" Khushi requested them.

They were bewildered..

Vineet asked "kaun hai wo ladka?"

I eyed at Khushi, who blinked her eye once. I then looked at Vineet and said "Jiju.. mere office mein wo new intern jo tha jise main pasand nahi karti thi.. Wahi"

I noticed his expressions and it seemed he understood. He questioned "naam kya hai uska??"

"Aa...Aa.." I hesitated..

"Aarav Malhotra.." I finally said

Vineet was shocked knowing his name. He stood up from his place then eyed at Khushi.

"Umar kya hai uski?" he asked..

"Chaubees saal" I said in a low tone.

Ruhana was stunned, "shayad maine kuch galat suna?? What is his age?" she asked, eyeing me.

"Sahi suna hai tumne Ruhana.. Aarav Malhotra ko ache se janta hun main, Virat Malhotra ka chota bhai hai wo... aur Manvi ki company mein new joined employee he is just 24 years old" Vineet said briefly.

I was not surprised hearing him, after all, he is my Jiju, he will know everything. In the past 30 years, he has established himself as a top industrialist and lots of companies compete with him.

"Vineet tum kaise jante ho Aarav ko?" Ruhana asked.

"Uske father ke saath ache business relation rahe hai mere.." Vineet informed.

I smiled, Ruhana came to me and asked "tera deemag thik hai na?"

I eyed her.. "Di main.."

She then looked at Avni and Khushi, she asked the girls to go to their room. Avni and Khushi went upstairs leaving us alone.

"Tum janti ho kya kah rahi ho tum? Pyaar wo bhi Aarav se apni aur uski umar toh dekh" she said angrily..

"Di.. isliye toh usse door bhaag rahi thi itne mahino se kitna gussa kiya uspe chillayi par wo koshish karta raha.. Aur mujhe ho gaya usse pyaar" I confessed with teary eyes.

"Mannu.. Paagal ho tum. Wo tujhse 2 nahi pure 18 saal chota hai.. Ek generation gap hai tum dono ke beech ye possible nahi hai" Ruhana strictly denied.

"Par I love him, Di" I said.

Ruhana looked at me. "Pyar?? Mannu, tu ek beti ki maa hai. Tujhe khushi ka bhi khayal nahi aaya? Tu aisa kaise kar sakti hai. Tune itne salon mein kisi ko chuna hai, aur chuna bhi toh kise?? apne aap se 18 saal chote ladke ko." Ruhana said.

"Bas ho gaya pyar. Wo hai hi aisa, aap usse mil lo na. Aur rahi khushi ki baat, wo khushi ko bhi pasand hai." I said.

Ruhana sighed.

"Mannu!! Humare maanne se kya hota hai?? Aarav ke father maanenge iske liye?? Wo kyun apne bete ki shadi uski doguni umar ki ladki se karenge!! This is not possible, Mannu." She said sternly.

"Ruhana is right, Manvi. Jahan tak main unko jaanta hoon, wo iske liye nahi maanenge. Apne usoolon ke bahut pakke hain." Vineet said.

I looked at both my Sister and brother in law. They are quite shocked. Well, anyone would have been. Aarav and I have an age gap, but he fills it with his naughtiness, maturity and love. I was running away from him, but he finally made me fall for him. I moved towards Ruhana and held his hand.

"Di, aap hi kehti ho na har rishtey mein pyar maayne rakhta hai. Main pyar se bhaagti thi, par Aarav ne mujhe realise karvaya, pyar hamesha rehta hai, bas hum usey ignore kar dete hai. Aap bhi toh Avni ko mana karke khushi ki demands puri karti ho, wo bhi pyar hai. Aur aarav bhi yahi karta hai. Infact usne kayi baar khushi ki madad ki hai." I said.

Ruhana and Vineet were listening to me silently. I looked at them.

" Di Jiju, I know, shayad ye galat hai society ke liye, par main jaanti hoon, aarav hi mujhe aur khushi ko har khushi de sakta hai. Chota ho ya bada, pyar toh failane se badhta hai. Hai na! Aap dono kya sochte ho, wo mayne rakhta hai mere liye. Please Di!! Aap dono mere sath ho toh sab Acha hoga. Please maan jao. " I said.

They didn't reply, and I was left doubtful.

Ruhana went inside the room without answering me. I glanced at Vineet, maybe he will understand what I meant.

"Jiju at least aap toh samjho" I requested him.

"Mannu.. Mujhe khud kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai Avni aur Khushi ki umar ka hai wo kaise sambhalega wo tumhe aur Khushi ko umar bhar?" he asked.

"Jiju.. wo sambhal lega wo mujhse bhi zyada samajhdar hai Khushi ko samajhta hai wo achi tarah se please jiju" I requested him.

He looked at me bewildered and went inside the room leaving me disheartened.

Khushi's POV

I was inside the room and informed Avni Di about Aarav. I narrated the whole story to her and she was just left shocked.

I called her "Di.. are you listening to me?"

Avni glanced at me "Khushi.. Sab sun rahi hun main Aarav jo mujhse" she started to count with her fingers. "7 years bade hai wo maasi se pyaar karte hai it is a generation gap" she said still in shock.

"Jante ho mumma ne jab mujhe ye bataya main bhi yahi socha.. Par jab mujhe pata tha wo mere dost hai bahut ache hai aur meri mumma ko khush rakhte hai hamesha maine ye nahi socha di.." I said briefly.

"Khushi.. Age difference toh dekh.. 18 years old, why would his family accept maasi for their young son?" she asked.

There was a point in her words. I know, it is not easy to be accepted by the family and society.

"Janti hun Di.. par mujhe mumma ko happy dekhna hai aur dost hi unki happiness hai aap please samjho na" I said convincing her.

Avni gave me a thoughtful look, I held her hand and said "jaise bade papa aapki har wish puri karte hai waise hi dost meri karte hai.. Aap bade papa ke saath sab share karte ho waise hi main dost se karti hun.. He is indeed perfect Di.. please aap bade papa aur maasi ko manao na"

Tears slipped down my eyes, Avni wiped them "khushi ro mat.. Main samajhti hun tumhari baat par ye easy nahi hai mumma papa ko time lagega na I am sure wo bhi maasi ki khushi chahenge hmm" she said trying to pacify me.

I nodded in yes and hugged her.. "Waise dost se toh aap bhi mile ho aapko kaise lagte hai wo?" I questioned her.

She smiled.. "Main unko ache se nahi jaanti tumne kabhi mujhe khulke bataya kaha unke baare mein" she said slapping my head.

I glanced at her and bit my tongue out "Right.. Par mujhe pata thodi tha meri mumma ko unse hi pyaar ho jayega main dost ko hi advise de rahi thi kaise apni khadoos boss ka dil jeeta jaaye" I laughed..

Avni smiled and I kept on telling her about Aarav more.
