Manvi's POV

I reached my office, it was 9 am sharp. I glanced at all the employees and that one guy was still missing. Why can't he be punctual? I sighed and walked into my cabin.

I sat down and received a call from the CEO, he informed me about the conference in Pune regarding the new project. I was left shocked when he said to bring Aarav Malhotra along as he was impressed with his way of presentation and strategies.

I tried to explain but he was determined.. "Sir please listen.. Wo ladka."

"Miss Manvi Shekhawat, this is my order" he said and ended the call.

I sighed and threw away the phone in anger. Why is everyone pushing me towards him when I am making plans to fire him. After half an hour, he arrived in the office.

He moved into my cabin and kept the pen drive in front of me. "Mam.. maine presentation complete bhi kardi aur boss ko email bhi kar di thi"

Now, I realised what boss sent him along with me to Pune to the conference. I scolded him "kisne kaha tha tumhe boss ko bhejne ko?? Jitna kaha jaata hai bas utna kiya karo"

"Ek toh maine aapka kaam aasan kiya remember we are a team" he said meaningfully.

I sighed... and informed him "conference ke liye Pune jaana hai and boss wants you to come with me"

His eyes popped out hearing it, he asked "aap chahti hai main aapke saath aau?"

"Ye main nahi chahti mera boss chahta hai samjhe.. Don't get too excited" I said firmly.

"Haaye.. Chalo isi bahane aapko jaanne ka aur mauka toh milega" he said with a smile and moved out of the cabin.

I was so much pissed off with him. If I don't take him along my job will be at risk and I can't afford it.

I then realised, I have to leave Khushi for four days alone. Later in the evening, I arrived home and saw the house was empty.

Only my sister was at home, I asked "kaha hai sab?"

"Khushi, zid kar rahi thi bahar jaane ki toh Vineet dono ko leke gaya hai" She informed.

I nodded and was thoughtful. Ruhana asked "kya hua?"

"Di mujhe 4 din ke liye Pune jaana hai conference mein" I informed.

Ruhana smiled "toh pareshan kyun hai?" she asked.

"Khushi.. Usko akela chodke kaise?" I asked.

Ruhana sighed.. "Wo akeli kaha hai? Hum hai na waise bhi tu bas raat ko uske saath rehti hai din bhar toh main hi sambhalti hun usko" she said winking at me.

"I know Di.. par mere peeche wo zid karegi aur jiju as usual usko mana nahi karenge" I said briefly.

"Offo tu na zyada sochti hai.. Tujhse bahut zyada samajhdar hai teri beti samjhi" She spoke.

I corrected her "nahi Di.. zaroorat se zyada oversmart hai"

Ruhana smiled and said "haan.. Isliye jo wo baat itni si umar mein samajh gayi tu 14 saal se nahi samajh paayi"

I sighed deeply as I knew what she was talking about. "Di.. aap phirse shuru ho gaye"

"Mannu.. Dekh I know Arjun ke jaane baad sab badal gaya par tune toh apne aap hi badal liya.. Ye sahi nahi hai na" she tried to explain.

I tried to ignore it as I didn't want to talk about it

But she held my hand "aise mat jaa main jo kehti hun tu samajhti hai par jaanbujhke anjaan bani hui hai" she said.

I gave her a look and denied the fact "Di please.. It's too late now main jaisi hun thik hun khush hun" I spoke

Ruhana smirked "khush hoti na to hamare saath hasti khelti wo sab krti jo khushi krti hai.." she said meaningfully.

I looked at her silently. I have no answers for her questions. I said "Kal jaana hai khushi ko bata dun" and went inside my room.

Khushi's POV

I was with Vineet and Avni at the seashore. We were at the bank of the sea in the water playing with the ball. Vineet glanced at it watch and said "chalo ab ghar bahut der ho gayi hai"

"Bade papa thodi der aur" I demanded.

"Beta phir aa jayenge kaafi late ho gaya tumhe toh kuch kahega nahi mujhe daant pad jayegi" he said

I and Avni Di giggled and glanced at each other. We passed an innocent smile to him, he denied "no.."

We made a sad face and he had to give up "okay fine.. Chalo pani puri khane par uske baad ghar" he said pointing his finger at us.

We agreed and went to the streets. We ate the pani puri, Vineet glanced at us.

"Bade papa aap bhi kha sakte ho" I spoke.

"Tum dono khao mujhe bhook nahi hai" he replied with a smile.

Avni demanded "papa.. Bhav bhaji bhi please"

He sighed.. "Beta ghar jaake khana bhi khana hai" he informed us.

I mocked anger "aap meri baat nahi maante"

"Offo.. khushi tum bhi na khao jo khana hai" he agreed to me.

We also made him eat along with us, it was almost 10 pm and we headed back to the house. After half an hour we reached the house.

Ruhana was waiting for us and shot a deadly glare. "Itna late?" she uttered.

"Roo.. time ka pata hi nahi chala" Vineet replied.

"Pata kaise chalega Vineet? Tumne bigad rakha hai dono ko" She said eyeing at us and we just showed our teeth to her.

"Chalo ab aa gaye ho toh khana khalo.." She said and moved to the dining table. We were already full, I signalled to Vineet.

He gulped down his throat and spoke "Roo.. wo.. Hum actually khake aaye hai"

Ruhana eyed at him and then at the girls. "Nahi sudhar sakte na? Kaha tha na maine khana ghar aake hi khana par sunni toh hai nhi nahi" she scolded us.

We made a sad face, Ruhana spoke "ye masoom chehre mat banao teeno.. Jao room mein ab"

I and Avni Di moved upstairs to our room, while Ruhana took Vineet's class as he was spoiling us.

I entered Manvi's room and saw her packing the stuff. I was bewildered and questioned "mumma hum kaha jaa rahe hai?"

"Hum nahi sirf main jaa rahi hun conference ke liye Pune" she informed.

I smiled and asked "kab tak wapas aaoge?"

"4 din mein" she replied.

I was saddened hearing it. I can't live without her even a single day and she will be away for 4 days. It is not the first time she is going to a conference but my heart is helpless. I demanded "aapke saath chalu?"

"Nahi beta aapko nahi le jaa sakti hun main.." she spoke.

I smiled and understood "okay mumma par Pune se mere liye gift laana mat bhoolna" I informed.

Manvi agreed and started giving me instructions, I repeated her words "maasi se zyada zid nahi karna.. Time pe khana khana mujhe roj phone karna time pe sona aur Avni Di ko zyada pareshan nahi karna"

In the past 14 years, she has spoken it millions of times to me and now I can write it with my closed eyes.

She passed me a sarcastic smile and then ruffled my hair.

I pouted.. "Don't touch na mumma.."

She then hugged me.. "I will miss you"

"Me too.. And come back soon" I said kissing her cheek.

Third Person POV

Malhotra Mansion

Aarav was super excited to go to Pune with Manvi. He will have more time to spend with her and maybe get closer to her. He then realised he had a broken hand and Ahana will never give him permission to go to Pune.

She is protective towards him, Aarav wanted to talk to Ahana about it. After the dinner, they sat down on the couch to watch the television.

Aarav said "bhabhi..."

"Haan Aarav kuch chahiye?" She asked.

"Nahi.. wo kal Pune jaana hai conference ke liye wo bhi 4 din ke liye" he informed with one close eye as he knew what her reaction will be.

Ahana glared at him, and said "ye dhanda dekha hai.. Dusra haath bhi tod dungi tumhara main"

Aarav made faces.. "Bhabhi I am fine na.. Please jaane do bahut important hai"

"Are you out of your mind Aarav? Accident hue kitna time hua hai haan?? And you are careless with your health. I am not giving you permission to go and that is final" she said strictly and went inside the room.

Aarav glanced at his brother, only he could help him in this critical situation. He moved closer to his brother who was busy with his phone and kept his head on his shoulder.

Virat was shocked at his move and asked "Aaj mere kandhe ki zaroorat kaise padi tujhe?"

Aarav spoke emotionally "bhai.. Aap jante ho na aapse kitna pyar karta hun main.. Aap nahi hote toh kya hota mera"

Virat knew his intentions well, and asked "Come to the point Aarav"

Aarav smiled and said "bhabhi ko manao na please.. Mujhe jaane de Pune"

Virat shot a deadly glare at him.. "Tum mujhe sherni ke muh mein haath daalne ko kah rahe ho"

"Bhai.. please" he made the most innocent face.

"Acha okay fine.. Koshish karta hun main" Virat was finally convinced.

Aarav gave a side hug to him "thank you bhai.. And best of luck"
