Vani were sitting in the exam hall with serious faces as it was their last paper to complete their postgraduate course. The reason behind their serious face was not because of the questions in their exam paper but because their college life is going to end and they won't be able to meet their friends regularly anymore. The clock struck 12 in the noon and the invigilator started collecting the students' answer papers. Once the invigilator took away Bani's paper, she immediately turned behind to look at Veer. Veer was sitting quite far away from her according to their initials. When she turned, she realised that Veer was already looking at her. He signalled her asking how was the exam and she gestured her hands saying it was okay. Then she turned to look at Divya and Nisha who were looking at Bani with their sad faces. The invigilator announced that the students can leave the class and all 4 of them quickly packed their bags and gathered at the corridor.

Bani : Hey guys, how was the last paper today?
Veer : Not bad.
Nisha : Not bad? It was the most toughest paper ever! (She exclaimed with wide opened eyes)
Divya : No, I felt like it was the most easiest paper ever.
Bani : Okay guys relax. Exams are over now. Yeayyy!!! We are no more students. We are going to graduate soon!!! (She exclaimed excitedly)
Veer was happy to see Bani jumping there in excitement but Divya and Nisha were extremely sad as their college life ended too soon.
Veer : Girls, chill yaar. Don't be sad. As we planned, we can meet each other every week and we can even come here to visit our brothers too as they will be studying here for another year.
Bani : Another two years, Veer. Did you forget about Ponky?
Veer : I don't think so that monkey will survive here for another 2 years. (He chuckled)
Divya : But guys we won't be able to meet each other everyday like we used to do.
Nisha : Yeah! Veer and Bani will meet each other because their parents are friends too but we won't be able to meet. Moreover, my parents have decided to shift to Hyderabad after I complete my PG. (She said sadly)
Bani : What? Really? Why you didn't tell this to us earlier, Nisha?
Nisha : Because they weren't sure before this but after that Holi incident, my parents decided to shift to punish my brother.
Veer : Nisha, this is not fair at all. Just because of what you brother did, how could your parents take such a big decision? And moreover your brother is not staying with your family right so why they want to shift now?
Nisha : I don't know, Veer. I can't speak against my parents. I'm going to miss you all very soon.
Divya : Nisha, it's okay don't worry. We can make video calls everyday and whenever you get time, you can come and visit us or maybe we all will come and visit you at Hyderabad.
Bani : Hmm just relax, Nisha. We promise to meet you everyday until you shift to Hyderabad. Guys, what say?
Veer : Yes, good idea. We will meet each other everyday till that as now we all are going to be free until we go for a job.
The trio started cheering up Nisha and she finally smiled as they convinced her to spend time with her everyday until she shifts to Hyderabad. The three girls decided to visit the cafeteria for one last time as they spent most of their days there while Veer went to meet his other male friends at the boys hostel.

At the cafeteria :
Nisha : Bani and Divya, do you guys want anything to eat?
Bani : No, thank you.
Divya : I guess I will go and get some snacks for me.
Nisha : Me too. Chalo, let's go. (They left)
Bani took out her phone and started scrolling down her instagram feed. Suddenly, her eyes popped out when she saw one post there. It was from Mayuri's account and she posted a picture of her with Veer with the caption "Sadly, today is the last day of meeting my crush at my college. Hope the destiny will get us to meet soon, Veeranshu. With love, Mayuri''.
Bani : What the fuck!!! He told me that he's going to meet his male friends but where does this dakini appeared all of sudden? Her exams finished last week itself right? What the hell she's doing at the campus now? (She started talking to herself with a serious face)
Divya : Oye, Bani? What happened to you? (She asked while sitting in front of her)
Bani : See this! (She showed them the picture)
Nisha : Veer and that girl, wait.. she's the second year student right?
Divya : I guess her name is Mayuri.
Bani : Yes, that chudail it is! (She said angrily)
Nisha : Chudail? Hahaha seriously? Such a cute name yaar. (She started laughing and Bani glared at her)

Divya : Not about her but about her relationship with Veer.

Veer has a smiling face and he used to smile back at whoever smiles at him so maybe that's the reason why he smiled at that girl. (She defended him even though she had the doubt herself)
Nisha : I don't think so that's the only reason, Bani. Maybe you can try to ask him about this later. He won't hide anything from you so just ask him directly.
Bani : No, I don't have to ask him. I'm damn sure about it.
Divya : Okay then leave it yaar.

Bani was sitting alone there waiting for Veer. She wanted to call him but at the same time she doesn't want to disturb him as he went to meet his friends for one last time so she decided to wait until he returns. Approximately after 15 minutes, Bani received a call from Nisha.
Bani : Hello, Nisha?
Nisha : Bani, are you still at the cafeteria?
Bani : Yes.
Nisha : Bani, can you please find for my ID card there? It's missing.
Bani : Your ID card? Wait uh. (She started scanning around)
Bani : Nisha, your ID card is here until the table. I guess it fell down from your bag.
Nisha : Ufff, thank God! Bani, can you please help me to bring it here? I need it to hand in the books.
Bani : You are still at the library right? Okay wait I'm coming. (She cut the call, took her bag and started walking to the library)
On her way to the library, Bani's eyes widened when she saw a couple far away from there. She blinked her eyes twice and looked again to confirm who was that and finally she confirmed. It was none other than her Veeru and his chipkali Mayuri. They were talking there or may be it can be said as they were laughing at each other. This was enough to bring back the possessive Bani again.
Bani : Wtf! (The only word escaped from her mouth)
Bani's mind voice : So this is what going on between them? Why do I feel like what Divya and Nisha said is influencing me now? Arghhh!!! Veeru, you are dead today! (She stomped her foot and ran towards the library)
Bani quickly passed the ID card to Nisha and ran back to the place where she saw them but due to her bad luck, only Veer was standing there but his chipkali was not there. She prepared herself with few cuss words to spit on him if he tells her any lies. She went towards him and he looked at her, waving his hand.

Veer : Hey Bani, what are you doing here?
Bani : What were you doing here? (She asked, arms crossing against her chest)
Veer : I told you right I wanted to meet my friends.
Bani : So did you meet them? (She raised her eyebrow)
Veer : Yes. But why are you glaring at me?
Bani : Nothing! (She tried her best to compose herself but failed)
Veer : Sweetheart, what's wrong with you?
Bani : Why the fuck are you calling me sweetheart? Why don't you call that dakini as sweetheart? (She bursted out in anger)
Veer : Huh? Dakini? What kind of name is that? Btw, how many times I warned you to never use bad words with me? (He scowled at her)
Bani : I will use!!!! If you don't want someone who use bad words then you are free to go and find for decent girls out there! (She snapped back)
Veer : Bani, what's wrong with you? Answer me properly now. What are you talking about?

Veer couldn't help himself but laughed at her cuteness. His laughter was making her more angry.
Bani : Why are you laughing like a monkey now? (She asked exasperatedly)
Veer : You know what? You are soooo cute, sweetheart. (He said, pulling her cheek with his other hand)
Bani was glaring at him and released him arm from her grip.
Veer : Bani, I'm not going anywhere now. I just lied to you about going for a date so that I thought you will come with me now. Trust me, I will never hide anything from you. I'm always yours. You don't have to worry about sharing me with someone else. You will always be my one and only best friend till my last breath. And please don't let that Mayuri to get into your thoughts. We are never going to meet her again so please stop worrying about her. (He said, cupping her face)

By now, Bani completely melted with his reassurance but still her ego never let her to show it out. Seeing no expression on her face made him to get more irritated.
Veer : What now, Bani? I have explained everything to you like explaining to a small baby but still you don't trust me is it? Bani, don't let your possessiveness win over our friendship.
Bani : Shut up, Veeranshu! It's not possessiveness. I will never get possessive over my best friend. And about the trust, I trust you more than I do to myself so don't ever say that I don't trust you. You are my everything, Veer. I can even doubt myself but I will never doubt you. I was just afraid that the chudail would snatch my best friend away from me that's why I overreacted but now I don't have that fear anymore. No one can separate us. (Listening this, Veer smiled at her genuinely)
Veer : Thank you, sweetheart. Same goes to you. I trust you more than myself.
Bani : Okay. Let's go. But I want a piggyback ride until we reach your car.
Veer : Anything for you, dear. Come. (He slightly bent down and Bani jumped on his back and wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around his waist)

They started walking towards the car.
Bani : Veer, you know something? Tapish bhai and Meera bhabhi are coming back from Australia tomorrow. (She said excitedly)
Veer : I knew it before you.
Bani : But how?
Veer : He called me one week ago and told me about this.
Bani : Why my brother is always informing things to you before me?
Veer : Ufff, jealous kid!

Bani : What?
