Three months later, Vani entered the last semester of their MBA course. They both became quite busy with their college assessments as they are going to graduate soon. One day, Vani and their gang were sitting in their classroom, chitchatting while waiting for the lecturer. Even Daksh, Ponky and Jay were also at Vani's classroom since all the lecturers has gone to attend an urgent meeting.

Divya : Bani, have you started to think about any suitable topic for our Marketing project?
Bani : Ufff Divya, we still got 3 months to submit that project so stop thinking about it now yaar.
Divya : 3 months is too less, Bani. We still have 4 more projects to do.
Nisha : Okay, Divya. Relax. Let's start to discuss about the topic by this weekend.
Daksh : Girls, please stop your boring conversation. We have decided to play truth or dare now. Come and join us.
Bani : Truth or dare? It's boring. Let's play something else.
Veer : No. Let's play truth or dare now.
Ponky : Yes, let' play now.
Bani : Ponky, truth or dare is for kids like you. We should play something else.
Jay : Why? Are you afraid to speak the truth?
Veer : No, she's not. Bani, let's start to play now. (He defended her)

Nisha : Okay guys now let's make a circle.
They all sat in a circle and started to spin the bottle. First the bottle stopped at Ponky.
Nisha : Truth or dare?
Ponky : Dare.
Daksh : I will give him the dare. Ponky, go and write on the whiteboard something bad about the lecturer and do not erase it until the lecturer sees that.
Ponky : What???? No way! Daksh, are you kidding me? This is not our class.
Daksh : But dare is a dare. Go and do it.
Ponky sulked and wrote on the whiteboard "The lecturer is useless". Whole class laughed at him. He got embarrassed and sat back hiding his face with his bag.
Nisha : Next. (She spun the bottle and it stopped at Divya)
Divya : Truth.
Bani : I will ask. Who is your crush in this class?
Divya : Bani!!!! You knew the answer.
Bani : No, you have to tell all of us now.
Divya : Okay. (She looked around the class to check for the guy and he was not there) Aryan is my crush.
Everyone : Ohhhhoooo!!!!
Divya : Guys, don't ever tell him about this. He treats me as a friend only.
Bani : Should I help you to get along with him? (She chuckled)
Divya : No thank you. Shut up. (Everyone giggled and Nisha spun the bottle again)
Nisha : So, Bani truth or dare?
Bani : Truth.
Veer was about to ask something but Jay asked before him.
Jay : So tell us who was your first boyfriend? (He smirked and Vani glared at him)
Jay's mind voice : Let's see how you will escape today, Bani Sharma. You have to reveal the truth today and my sister also will get to know about your true colours.
Bani and Veer looked at each other since they knew who was that person.
Ponky : Bani, faster tell na. You don't remember about your first boyfriend?
Jay : Of course she does. Am I right, Bani? (He provoked her)
Bani : Yes, you are right. I will never forget about my first boyfriend.
Nisha : Then tell us about him.
Veer : Bani? (He raised his eyebrow)

Everyone's jaw dropped but Veer smiled at her. Jay was really disappointed as he expected her to tell his name.

Divya : Okay so you.....(She was cut by Bani)
Bani : No, Divya. I will give him the dare please. (She showed her puppy face)
Divya : Okay, madam. Go ahead.
Bani : Yayyy!!!! (She smirked at Veer naughtily and he understood her intention)
Veer : No, Bani! (He warned her)
Bani : Yes. So now Mr Veeranshu Singhania is going to flirt with Mayuri.
Nisha : Wow!!! Kya baat hai!
Veer : What? Mayuri? Hell no!!!! She is already wooing at me and I'm not going to do this to her.
Ponky : Bro, you have to do it. It's a dare.
Veer : No!!!
Bani : You have to, Veer.
Veer : Shut up, Bani. I will never do it.
Jay : Then admit that you are afraid to flirt with girls.

Everyone started forcing Veer and finally he agreed with heavy heart.

Divya : But on one condition, Veer. Do not tell her about our game. It must be real, okay?

Bani : Me too.
Veer : Okay fine. Where should I go and find her now?
Daksh : Bro, just now I saw her at our class. I guess she will be there now. Am I right, Jay?

They reached Mayuri's class and Bani went inside to call her. She immediately ran outside the class when she saw Veer at the corridor.
Bani : Hi, Mayuri.

Bani : Hmmm, can you come out with me?
Mayuri : Why?
Bani : Actually Veer is waitin.... (She pointed at Veer and Mayuri quickly got up and ran towards him)
Bani's mind voice : Chudail! She didn't even wait for me to complete my sentence.
Mayuri came out of her class and saw Veer smiling at her. She was on cloud nine when she saw him smiling at her for the very first time since 2 years.
Mayuri : Hi, Veer. (She called sweetly and Veer showed a fake smile)
Veer : Hi, Mayuri.
Bani : Veer, start now. (She whispered to him)
Veer : Bani, I need to talk to her personally so can you please?? (He emphasised the word 'please' and signed her to go a little far away)
Bani : No!
Veer : Please, Bani. We need our privacy too.
Bani : Fine!
Bani sulked and walked away from there whereas Mayuri was jumping mentally in excitement as she doesn't like Bani being with Veer all the time.
Mayuri : Veer, is that really you? I still can't believe that you have come all the way just to talk to me personally. (She said, scanning him top to bottom)
Veer's mind voice : Oh God! How to start now? She is already undressing me with her eyes.
Mayuri : Veer? (She called sweetly)
Veer : Haan, Mayuri. Yes, I have come all the way just to talk with you.
Mayuri : Awww, really?
Veer : Yes babes. Actually I just wonder how I missed to note this beautiful face of you earlier. Btw, you are looking so hot in this crop top, babes. (He winked)
Bani could hear their conversation and her eyes and mouth were wide open in shock and amusement. She never knew that Veer could flirt with someone like this.
Mayuri : Awww, this is the first compliment from you, Veer. Tbh, I have been dressing like this everyday just to impress you and until yesterday I only got disappointed as you didn't even spare a single glance at me but today you complimented me. I just can't believe it. (She blushed, being on cloud nine)
Veer : Tch tch tch, I'm sorry for disappointing you before this, babes. I will try to compliment you everyday from today onwards. (He winked at her)
Bani's jaw dropped and she started feeling jealous at the way Veer was speaking sweetly with Mayuri.
Mayuri : Awww, that's so sweet of you, Veer. Can I ask you something?
Veer : Yeah, sure.
Veer's mind voice : No, Mayuri. I'm just acting. Please don't mistake it.
Mayuri : What's your opinion about me? Do you like me, Veer?
Bani : Shit!!! No, I won't let him to answer this. (She murmured under her breath and quickly ran towards Veer)
Veer was looking at Mayuri speechlessly as he doesn't know what to answer her but Bani went there and interrupted before he could answer her.
Mayuri : Tell me, Veer.
Bani : Mayuri, sorry for interrupting now. And Veer, I just got a call from home. It's urgent. We shall leave now. (She signed at Veer)
Veer : Huh? Oh okay. Sorry I have to leave now. Bye, Mayuri.

They quickly walked away from there or to be more precise, Bani held his arm and dragged him with her. After a while, they reached an empty corridor and they stopped there.
Veer : Uff, Bani! Thank you for saving me. You came at the right time.
Bani : Veer, I just can't believe that you really did flirt with her? Do you even know how to flirt? I thought you are a gentleman. (She asked in disbelief)
Veer : What do you mean? Who said a gentleman doesn't know how to flirt?
Bani : But when did you learn this? I have never seen you flirting with any girls before this.
Veer : Sweetheart, I don't need to go for a special class to learn how to flirt. It comes naturally. (He winked at her)
Bani : But seriously you crossed your limits, Veer. Did you forget that it's just a dare?

Veer : Ufff, Bani Sharma is feeling jealous huh? But you the one who started this babe. You were the one who asked me to flirt with Mayuri so as a best friend of yours, I obeyed you. (He teased her)
Bani : But how could you call her hot? Even I also got wear crop top many times but you have never called me hot before. (She sulked)
Veer : Because you did not look hot with that. You looked cute, sweetheart.
Bani : Arghh!!! Shut up! (She glared at him and walked away)

One week later :
After their last class ended, Veer and Bani walked towards the parking area to reach his car. While they were on their way, Mayuri suddenly came in front of them and stopped Veer.
Veer : Hey, Mayuri.
Mayuri : Hi, Veer. Can I talk to you now? Are you free?
Bani : No (Veer looked at her) Umm, I mean yes we are free.
Veer : Yes, Mayuri. What's the matter?
Mayuri : Can I talk to you personally? (She asked, staring at Bani)
Bani understood what she meant.
Bani : Okay, carry on. Veer, give me the keys I will go to the car first. (Veer passed the keys and she walked away)
Veer : So, what's bothering you?
Mayuri : Hmm... Veer, I guess you know about my feelings toward you very well so I don't wish to beat around the bush now.
By now Veer understood what was she going to tell but he remained silent and signed her to continue.
Mayuri : Veer, I have been asking you from the past 1 week about your opinion but you are not giving me a proper answer. Can I know the answer now? I'm in love with you since 2 years, Veer. To be more precise, I can say that I fell in love with you on the first day itself when I saw you at my freshers day party.
Veer : Mayuri, I'm sorry if I unintentionally gave you the hope to build your feelings on me but I don't want to drag it anymore. I'm not interested in commitments, Mayuri. Trust me, we can be good friends if you wish for it. I really like you as a good human being. Why don't we just remain as friends?
Tears formed her eyes by she quickly composed herself and smiled at him.
Veer : Mayuri, did I hurt you?
Mayuri : No, Veer. You can never hurt me. I can understand you, Veer. I respect your opinion. As you said, we can try to be friends first. (She said with a fake smile)
Veer : I'm sorry for disappointing you, Mayuri. We can be good friends from now onwards. Friends? (He asked, forwarding his hand for a shake hand)
Mayuri : Yeah, friends. Thank you, Veer, for being polite to me. (She did shake hand with him)
Veer : Okay, Mayuri. I shall leave now because Bani is waiting for me. Bye.
Mayuri : Bye.
Veer left from there but Mayuri was standing there and staring at Veer.
Mayuri's mind voice : I will make you mine very soon, Veer.

In the car :
Veer got inside the car and noticed that Bani was staring at him questioningly.
Veer : Bani, I'm sorry for that. I didn't expect her to send you away.
Bani : Leave it, Veer. Tell me what happened. (She asked excitedly)
Veer explained her the whole scene.
Bani : Ufff Veer, why did you refuse her proposal?
Veer : You knew the answer, Bani. (He started driving)
Bani : But last time you had a good impression on her. You said she is such a good soul and etc.
Veer : It's totally wrong. Do you remember the creepy dare you gave me last week? Since that she started behaving differently with me. She used to call me every night and ask me about my opinion. I only answered her call twice but after that I avoided her by saying I'm busy.
Bani : Huh? Why you didn't tell me about it before? So you guys started romancing through phone calls already? (She teased him)
Veer : Romance with her? Never!
Bani : Why?
Veer : Bani, she is really annoying me too much. (He said exasperatedly)
Bani : Veer, please accept her proposal yaar. I think she is the best option for you.
Bani's mind voice : No, Veer. Say you are not interested in her.
Veer : Shut up, Bani. I'm really not interested in her.

Bani's mind voice : Yayy!!
Bani : But she loves you sincerely, Veeru. She is loving you since 2 years.
Veer : But I don't love her! (He snapped back)
Bani : Okay then leave it.
There was a pin drop silence between them for good 10 minutes and it was broken by Veer.
Veer : Sweetheart?
Bani : Veer, stop calling me sweetheart!
Veer : Why? Tell me the reason first then I will stop.
Bani : No way! Just stop it. I don't like that word.
Veer : But why?
Bani : None of your business.
Veer : Actually I know the reason.
Bani's eyes popped out of her socket.
Bani : What? How? I mean don't lie.
Veer : I'm not lying. Do you remember that day you drank my dad's whiskey when we were alone at home?
Bani : So?
Veer : So, when you were drunk, I asked you the reason and you spilled the beans. (He chuckled)
Bani : What the fuck????? (Veer glared at her)
Bani : Sorry. I mean I don't remember any such thing. Stop lying, Veer.
Veer : Sweetheart, what will you do if I tell out the secret you have been hiding inside you?
Bani gulped in fear but didn't show it to Veer.
Bani : Huh? What's that? I don't hide any secret with me. Stop imagining things.
Veer : You do, sweetheart. You said you were feeling something else when I call you sweetheart. When I asked you about that something else, you said....(He stopped to look at her reaction)
Bani was looking at him as if she saw a ghost there. Her eyes popped out and mouth wide open while her fingers were dancing nervously. Veer noticed everything and smiled inwardly.
Veer : Sweetheart?
Bani : Stop it, Veer. Please don't call me that. (She said nervously)
Veer : Why are you getting nervous now? What happened to you?
Bani : Nothing. You'd better focus on the road now. (She avoided the eye contact)
Veer : Bani, shall we go to the beach for a while? I guess we need some fresh air to free ourselves from the stress.
Bani : Hmm okay.
Veer's mind voice : What's wrong with her? I'm sure she is hiding something from me. I will make her to say it out today.

After a while, Veer and Bani reached the beach and started walking by the seashore.
Veer : Bani, do you want something to eat?
Bani : How about cotton candy?
Veer : Good idea. Let me go and get it.
Bani : No. You stay here and I will get it. I need to buy more junk food for me. (She giggled)
Veer : Hehe okay. Come back fast.
Bani ran from there excitedly and Veer sat by the seashore and started playing with the sand. He was trying to release his stress by breathing the fresh air and enjoying the view but it got disturbed by a phone call. He checked the screen and it showed Mayuri's name. He answered the call uninterestedly.
Veer : Hello?
Mayuri : Hello, Veer? Am I disturbing you? Are you busy now?
Veer : No, Mayuri. What's the matter?
Mayuri : Actually I have doubt in economics chapter 2 so can you explain me about it?
Veer : Mayuri, you are in Year 2 and I'm in Year 3. Why are you asking me? I suggest you to ask Daksh or Jay about it.
Mayuri : No, I have already ask them about it but they are not helping me. Please help me, Veer. I'm having exam tomorrow.
Veer : Hmm I don't remember much about it so can you send me the questions through WhatsApp? I will explain you later.
Mayuri : No, Veer. You explain me now. I have sent you the questions now so please have a look at it and explain me. I'm going out in a while so I won't get time to revise later.
Veer : Hmm okay. Hold on, I will check it first.
Veer went through the questions and started explaining her. Bani came with the food and sat beside him. She signed him asking with whom he is talking to then he showed the phone screen and Bani noticed Mayuri's name there. She asked him to talk later but he requested her to give him some time and started explaining Mayuri again. Bani started eating her food but she couldn't enjoy it as she was feeling discomfort with their conversation.

Bani's mind voice : Oh God, why this chipkali always sticking onto Veer? Doesn't she have any better work to do? I really regret now for giving him the dare to flirt with her. She is really taking advantage of Veer's politeness. Now she is ruining our quality time too.
Bani waited for another 20 minutes but she couldn't control her frustration anymore.
Bani : Veer!! (She called loudly so that Mayuri could hear her)
Veer : Mayuri, one second. Yes, Bani?
Bani : How long you are going to hang on the phone? Did you forget the purpose of coming here? (She asked exasperatedly)
Veer : Sweetheart, just 5 minutes please. (He showed his puppy face and Bani pouted)
Mayuri's mind voice : Oh so he is with that Bani now. And what did he call her? Sweetheart? I thought they are best friends. Why is he calling her sweetheart? (Chain of thoughts were going on her mind and Veer started calling her name repeatedly)
Veer : Mayuri??? Are you on the line?
Mayuri : Yes, Veer. Actually I have another doubt.
Mayuri started asking him more doubts deliberately and Veer was explaining her patiently for the next 35 minutes while Bani was glaring at Veer.
Veer : Okay, Mayuri. I hope your doubts got cleared by now. Is there anything else?
Bani : Anything else? Can't you just cut the call? (She whispered slowly to Veer)
Veer gestured her to keep quiet.
Mayuri : Veer, I have another doubt too. Actually on the chapter 3..... Hello? Veer? (She looked at the screen and realised that the call got cut)

Veer : Bani, what's this behaviour? How could you snatch my phone and cut the call? Can't you see that I'm talking to her?
Bani : Stop it, Veer. You are not her lecturer to explain the whole book to her. You have been talking to her for more than 1 hour. We came here to get some fresh air, not to flirt with any witches! (She bursted into anger)
Veer : Flirt? Bani, I was not flirting with her. She has economics exam tomorrow so I was just helping her to clear her doubts.
Bani : Why don't she ask any of her classmates to explain her? Daksh and Jay are also her classmates right? She only found you in the whole college?
Veer : Please stop with your over possessiveness, Bani. She is our junior so it's our responsibility to help the juniors to score well in exams.
Bani : What did you say? Over possessiveness? I'm not possessive, Veer. I just wanted to spend some quality time with you but you are busy with someone else. Okay, fine. Just carry on with her. Sorry for snatching your phone. (She threw the phone on his lap and got up from there)
Veer : Sweetheart, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it actually. I just got upset with you when you snatched the phone suddenly. (He held his wrist and pulled her back to sit beside him)
Bani : I'm sorry too. It's waiting for you since an hour. Take it. (She said, showing the cotton candy to him)
Veer smiled at her cute antics and ate the cotton candy. He switched off his mobile and started chitchatting with Bani.
