The weekend finally arrived to celebrate Meera's baby shower. The whole Sharma mansion was occupied with numerous guests and relatives from both Tapish and Meera's sides. Veer and Bani were busy in hosting the event with great hospitality and often received compliments from the guests for making the atmosphere more cordial and pleasant.

Bani was serving the drinks when Tapish walked to her. He stopped her from what she was doing and pulled her to a corner to talk to her.
Bani : Whoa bhai? What do you want? Are you planning to surprise me with any diamond necklace today? You know you don't have to do- (She was cut by him)
Tapish : Stop rambling and listen to me, Bani. It's serious.
Bani : What's that? Don't tell me you have some sort of incurable disease and you are going to die soon.
Tapish : Can you just keep quiet and listen to me or do you want me to use stapler to seal your mouth? (He asked in a serious tone and Bani quickly shut her mouth and gestured him to speak) Why did you fire 17 employees at the branch in Australia? You told me that you are just going to look after the branch until you stay there but who gave you the rights to fire them? Do you think it's a joke, Bani? Moreover, all of them are such experienced and talented employees. Stop playing around please! Your one small mistake can cause a huge loss to our entire business!! If business is not your cup of tea then stay away from it!!! (He yelled at her)
Bani : Can you just stop it? What do you think about me, bhai? I'm never going to joke when it comes about our business. Don't you think there's a strong reason on why I did that? I told you I wanted to look after that branch but it's not just to pass the time there. I'm the COO of S&S Group of Industries so it's my responsibility to control the whole administrative and operational functions of our business.... And I have already sent you an email regarding the reasons and proofs I found against them which proved them to be disloyal and unprofessional employees so kindly check the mails before shouting at me. (She snapped at him)
Tapish : Oh but I- (Bani interrupted)
Bani : I'm busy now. Bye! (She glared at him and started walking away from there)
Tapish : Princess, I'm sorry.
Bani : Get lost! (She shouted while walking away)

Bani was upset with the way Tapish yelled at her without learning the truth but she faked a smile and started talking to her mother's friends when suddenly someone tapped on her shoulder. She turned to see that person and her eyes widened seeing Shilpa, the one they met at boutique two days ago.
Shilpa : Hi beta, how are you? (She squealed enthusiastically, gaining everyone's attention there)
Bani's mind voice : Oh no! Not again please. I don't want any more lectures. (She forced a smile at Shilpa)
Bani : I'm fine, aunty. Oh someone is calling me. Yes? Wait, I'm coming there!!! (She responded to someone who didn't call her and quickly excused herself from there)
After some time, Bani hid herself behind a pillar when she saw Shilpa walking towards her direction after wishing Tapish and Meera.
Bani's mind voice : This is not fair at all. She took half an hour that day to lecture me about dos and don'ts during pregnancy but now she just congratulated Meera bhabhi and moved away from there. Why don't she go and lecture her on how to give birth without any pain... It might be useful for her. (She rolled her eyes)
Just when Bani was peeking out from the pillar, she shrieked getting startled as someone tapped on her shoulder again. She placed her hands on her chest and turned around to see the moron behind her. Huffing exasperatedly, she narrowed her eyes at a grinning Sid who just tapped on her shoulder.

Bani : You scared me. Can't you just call my name instead of scaring me like this?
Sid : What are you doing here? Are you playing hide-and-seek business with your husband?
Bani : No, I'm just standing here casually.
Sid : Casually, huh? I thought you are trying to hide away from someone. (He raised his eyebrow slyly)
Bani : Oh come on, why would I hide away from someone? This is my house and I can go wherever I want. (She shrugged, giving him an awkward smile)
Sid : Okay then come let's go and eat, didi. I'm hungry.
Saying this, he held her wrist and pulled her along with him without paying heed to her protests.
Bani : No, Sid!!! You go and eat first. I will eat later.
Sid : Shhhh... You have to eat with me, didi. I don't like to eat alone.
Bani : Ufffoo, I'm not hungry now, Sid. You go and eat first.
Sid : But I'm hungry, didi. I'm starving since afternoon and my stomach is already growling angrily. Please give me food. (He pout like a small kid)
Bani : Oh God! You are so stubborn, Sid. (She sighed and agreed unwillingly)

They were having their dinner when someone once again tapped on Bani's shoulder. She froze with the spoon stuck in her mouth and someone pulled out the spoon. She heaved a sigh of relief when she recognized the owner of the hand.
Bani : Veer!!! Why the hell everyone tapping on my shoulder? Can't you just call my name? (She groaned)
Veer : Ufff, calm down sweetheart. I was chewing gulab jamun that's why I couldn't speak.
Bani : Then you should've called me after you're done with chewing the damn gulab jamun!
Veer : Whoa..calm down woman. Why are you so hyper today?
Sid : Hyper? Seriously? Why do I feel like she is trying to control herself from killing someone today? (He asked suggestively with mischievous glint on his eyes)
Bani : You said you're hungry, right? So just shut up and eat.
Sid gestured like he zipped his lips and continued eating his food.
Veer : Gharwali, what's wrong?
Bani : That aunty is here. She's still searching for me. (She whispered to Veer)
Veer : Which aunty?
Bani : The one we met at boutique th- (She was cut by her mother)
Bani turned to her mom and her jaw dropped seeing the person beside her.
Tanvi : Bani, you're here. See here, Shilpa was looking for you since just now.
Veer : Oh shit! (He muttered under his breath)
Bani smiled sheepishly and got up to greet Shilpa again.
Bani : Hi aunty.
Shilpa : Beta, I was looking for you everywhere but you're here. (She asked with big eyes)
Bani : Oh actually I felt hungry so I came here to have my dinner.
Shilpa : Oh is it? I can understand. Actually it's quite late already. You should've had your dinner before 7pm so you can take some light food before you go to sleep. You should follow healthy diet during this condition, beta.

Bani and Veer's eyes widened and they gulped looking at Tanvi who was looking at Shilpa confusingly.
Tanvi : What condition?
Bani : Oh nothing, mumma. Aunty is just asking me to eat earlier. You see, it's already fifteen past nine now so that's why. (She shrugged awkwardly and Veer sighed in relief)
Tanvi : Oh okay.
Shilpa : Yes. By the way, don't forget to invite me for your baby shower too, beta. (She suddenly said out of nowhere making Tanvi and Sid's head whip to Shilpa)
Sid : Baby shower? Whose baby shower? (He got up and stood beside Bani)
Shilpa : Who is this cute boy?
Tanvi : He is Bani's friend.
Sid : No!!! (He screamed, grabbing everyone's attention towards him) Oh sorry. But I'm not her friend. I'm her younger brother.
Shilpa : Really? Tanvi, I thought you had only 2 children.
Sid : My sister adopted me.
Bani and Veer looked at each other and rolled their eyes simultaneously.
Shilpa : Oh o...kay. (She stared at him with a doubt)
Bani's mind voice : Thank God they're getting distracted. I think this will be the right time for me to escape from here. But how? She's blocking my way. (She frowned)
Tanvi : So Shilpa, you were saying something about baby shower.
Bani's mind voice : Mummaaaa!!!!!
Shilpa : Oh yes. I was saying about Bani's baby shower. But I think it's too early since she's just two months. (She dropped the bomb making everyone's jaw hit the floor)
Veer's mind voice : Gone!
Tanvi was too shocked to react but Sid being Sid interfered to contribute his part in the ongoing drama.
Sid : OMG really, didi? You're pregnant? You didn't tell me about it. Are you planning to hide it from me? (He crossed his arms against his chest and raised his eyebrow at her)
Bani opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out from her mouth. She turned to glare at Veer and Veer gave her an apologizing look.
Tanvi : Bani? (She raised her eyebrow too)
Shilpa : Why is this boy so shocked? You guys didn't reveal about your pregnancy to him? (She asked, referring Sid to Vani)
Both of them smiled at her sheepisly but the next moment their face dropped looking at Tanvi's threatening glare she was giving them.
Tanvi : Shilpa, I think you should meet our other friends too. We don't want to miss the chance to meet our old friends today, do we?
Shilpa : Oh yeah. I will go and meet them first. And beta, please take care of your health. God bless you both and the baby. (She blessed Vani and walked away from there)
Tanvi : I need an explanation for this, Bani.
Sid : Yes, me too. I need an explanation from you, didi. How could you hide this from me? (He pouted)
Veer : Shut up, Sid. And aunty, let me explain it to you. Actually it's not- (Tanvi stopped him)
Tanvi : Not here. Come inside with me now. (She ordered in a stern tone and walked into the house)
Sid : Yes, let's go. (He also followed Tanvi)
Bani : Are you happy now, Veer? Oh God, that was so embarrassing.
Veer : Sweetheart, I'm so sorry. I was just playing that day in the intention of annoying you but I didn't know it would become such a fuss now. But you don't worry, I will explain them the truth.
Bani : Whatever! (She sighed and they walked into the house)

Tanvi crossed her arms against her chest and stared at Bani giving the 'better-give-an-explanation-now' look to which Sid also mimicked Tanvi's actions, receiving a death glare from Veer.
Tanvi : What is this, Bani? You are pregnant and you didn't even tell it to me? How come a third person knows about your pregnancy but not your own mother?
Sid : What? Omg, you didn't tell it to mom also? This is too bad, didi.
Veer : Siddharth! (He narrowed his eyes at him to which Sid ignored it as usual)
Bani : Arghh!! Mom, I'm not pregnant! (She screamed exasperatedly)
Tanvi : Then? What was that just now?
Veer : Aunty, let me explain it to you. Actually that day when we went to the shopping, we met this aunty there. I was totally annoyed because of Bani so I took the chance to annoy her back by lying to that aunty about her pregnancy. We really never had the idea that she'd join us for the event today otherwise I wouldn't have lied to her that day.
Tanvi : Oh My God! This is ridiculous. I never expect this from you, Veer. I thought she is the one who acts immaturely always but now you have proved me wrong. It's not a small thing, Veer. You really disappointed me today. You guys are 26 now not kindergarten kids to annoy each other by lying around like this. (She scolded angrily to which Veer hung his head in shame)
Veer : I'm sorry, aunty. I won't repeat this again.
Tanvi : Now I have to go and tell her the truth before she starts announcing the news to everyone else. (She shook her head in disappointment and left the place)
Sid : I'm so disappointed with you both.
Veer : What's your problem now?
Sid : I thought I will be getting a niece or nephew soon but you guys just disappointed me.
Bani : Sid, come here. (She called, gritting her teeth and clenching her fist)
Sid : No, I think I'm hungry again so let me get some dessert first. (Saying this, he ran away from there leaving Veer and Bani alone)
Veer : Sweetheart, I'm sorry. That was really embarrassing in front of your mom and Sid made it worse. (He said sadly to which Bani sighed and walked to him)
Bani : It's okay, baby. This is not the first time we are getting scolded by my mom. (She chuckled, wrapping her arm around his shoulder)
Veer : You are right. But that Shilpa aunty is just too much.
Bani : I know right? (She rolled her eyes)
Veer : By the way, you're looking so hot although you're wearing just a simply gown tonight. (He winked at her)
Bani : Do you know something? All credit goes to my husband as he's the one who chose this dress for me.
Veer : Ahaaan... I must say this evening he's completely smitten with his woman. (He whispered huskily to which Bani blushed and lowered her head) Stop blushing, sweetheart. Your cheeks are turning red too to match with your gown. (He chuckled, kissing her cheek)

It has been six months since Meera's baby shower and she gave birth to a cute and healthy baby boy four months ago. They named the baby boy as Yashwant Sharma but Bani used to call him as Dumpling just to annoy his parents who hate that name. Also, soon it's going to be Vani's second wedding anniversary.

It was a Monday morning when Bani woke up to get ready to go to the office. She turned to her right and as usual her husband was not there. He always preferred to wake up earlier before her to prepare their breakfast as once Bani tried to burn down the kitchen while making bread toast in his absence. Since then he restrained her from trying to cook in the kitchen without him to avoid her crazy attempts in burning down the whole apartment.

She was getting ready when she heard some noises from the kitchen. She rushed to see Veer who was puking his guts out there. She held him and started caressing his back while he rinsed his mouth.
Bani : Baby, what happened to you? Are you okay?
Veer : Yeah, I'm okay.
Bani : What's wrong? Why are you throwing up?
Veer : It's because of the spaghetti with mint sauce that you made last night.
Bani : But you said it was delicious. (She frowned)
Veer : Trust me, it was horrible and I had no choice but to lie since you insisted on cooking it so I just didn't want to disappoint you.
Bani : You should've told me that last night itself. Why did you force yourself to eat it? See now you are the one suffering here. (She said sadly)
Veer : It's oka.... (Before he could complete his sentence, he rushed to throw up again)
She helped to walk to the room after throwing up and made him sit on the bed.
Bani : Veer, I think you should visit the doctor. You already threw up twice today.
Veer : No, this is the fourth time.
Bani : Oh My God!! Come let's go to the hospital now.
Veer : No, it's okay sweetheart. I think it's just food poisoning.
Bani : No, you listen to me first. We need to visit the doctor. You have already vomited 4 times and it's not normal.
Veer looked at Bani to refuse but immediately rushed to the washroom to throw up again. Bani panicked seeing his condition and called their family doctor to pay a visit to their home.
Bani : Veer, you don't have to go to the office today. You take rest at home. I have called the doctor and he's on the way now.
Veer : No sweetheart, I have 2 important meetings to attend today and my presence is needed there.
Bani : Stop being so stubborn. I will take care of those meetings. You just shut up and stay at home. (She said in her final tone that shut his mouth)

The doctor arrived within few minutes and checked Veer. He announced that Veer vomited due to food poisoning and prescribed some medicines to prevent it from getting worse. Bani helped Veer to take some light breakfast and left to the office once she promised him to be back home earlier than usual. Veer laid down and took rest until Bani came back home at 3pm as she promised.

She walked into the room to see him soundly asleep there. She caressed his hair and Veer opened his eyes feeling her touch. He gave her a weak smile before Bani kissed on his forehead.
Bani : How are you feeling now, Veer?
Veer : Better. I threw up two more times after you left but then it stopped.
Bani : Okay, go and freshen up first. Let's eat our lunch together.
Veer : What's the time now? (He asked, getting up to sit on the bed)
Bani : It's 3.
Veer : You still haven't had your lunch till now?
Bani : No, I wanted to eat with you. (She smiled, holding his hands)
Veer : How about the food?
Bani : Mom cooked for us. I grabbed the lunch from there while coming back home and also she told me that she is going to visit us later.
Veer : Oh that's so sweet. Why are you so good to me, sweetheart?
Bani : Because I can't afford to lose you. I need someone to prepare the breakfast before I wake up, feed me if I'm late, clean the house during the weekends and most importantly to entertain me when I'm bored. (She smirked at him when he narrowed his eyes at her)
Veer : I'm not your servant or entertainer. (He turned away)
Bani : Of course you are. (She chuckled looking at his expression)
Veer : I'm not! (He pouted)
Bani : Oh God, why are you being so cute when you are sick? (She pulled his cheeks earning a slap on her hand)
Veer : Don't!
Bani : Ufffoo, I'm just playing with you baby. Come, let's go and eat our lunch first. I'm so hungry.
She pulled him by his hand and he got up grumpily. They had their lunch together and spent the rest of the day with Chandrakala who came to visit them.
